The EBP Exchange
Welcome to The EBP Exchange, the podcast where we unpack what it really takes to bring evidence-based practices to life in our schools. I’m Brooke, an assistant principal, doctoral student, and someone who’s spent way too many Sunday nights wondering why great strategies don’t always make it into Monday morning classrooms.
In this podcast, we’re going beyond the buzzwords. We’ll talk about the barriers—things like overwhelmed teachers, rigid systems, limited training, and sometimes... just plain disbelief. But we’ll also highlight what works: strong leadership, trust, cultural responsiveness, collaboration with families and the messy but meaningful work of implementation.
Whether you’re a teacher, leader, policymaker, family member or someone just trying to make school better for kids you’re in the right place. Let’s get into it.

Supporting the People that do the Work
In this kickoff episode of The EBP Exchange, we dig into the real-world barriers teachers face when trying to implement evidence-based practices and why good intentions and PD days just aren’t enough. You will hear from two experts in the educational field Dr. Jane Calnan and Julie DeLuca, CAGS. From professional learning gaps to systems that unintentionally create inequity, we talk about what it actually takes to support the educators doing the work every day. This episode sets the stage for future conversations about equity, sustainability, and the human side of implementation
