Budgeting is one of the most important skills you can develop as a student. To help you become money confident, check out these tips from new graduate Thomas.

So my name’s Thomas Barnes-Gosling, I’ve graduated from Business Marketing.

I’d start budgeting. I don't think you realise how much spend it's going to be until you get here, with all your hidden costs, like your food shops. You know, your rent, depending on your financial situation.

And just try and realise what you can kind of get away with spending on a weekly basis. I’d probably maybe look at getting a part-time job, even if it’s just one day a week, just to get you that extra money.

And just take every day as a opportunity. You know, it’s really, obviously not just with the degree but with the actual life experience, education, trying to make new friends, get new experiences, try new things.
