Welcome to Haunted Ozark Theater. H O T, your Hot Horror Podcast. And this episode is a little different. I am driving, and right next to me in the passenger seat is Cody. What's up, guys? Say hi, buddy. Hi, buddy. We are on our way to Horror Con OKC. And so this whole episode is going to be from the road, and it's going to be our coverage of the events that we're going to experience today. And fun fact, we're actually fixing to drive through the town of Gore. Yes, we just passed a sign that said the next town up is Gore, G-O-R-E. And so that's very apropos. But let's talk about this day in horror history, as we always do. Today is uh the birthday of Vin Diesel. Oh my god, are we talking about uh pitch black? That's what I want to talk about is pitch black because uh, you know, he's not really known for horror, but but what do you think of pitch black as a horror movie? Yeah, they how many were there, too? I know it had a spin-off. I know he did some, yeah, he there's some Riddick movies that I think spun off, but I'm just talking about pitch black, because that's the only one that I think is very true horror. Right. But yeah, it's very 2000s, very sign of the times kind of a horror movie. Yeah, it was good though. I liked it. I liked it quite a bit. It leaned more action to me. I haven't revisited it lately, but I remember seeing it, and then actually me and my dad went and saw that in the theater. That was one of the ones that we saw together um later in life. But uh I remember when it came out on VHS. I watched that one quite a bit uh back in the day. It was I was I rewatched it several times back in the day.

Yeah, it's good. And another one I'm thinking of in diesel, I would say it's fantasy horror, The Last Witch Hunter. Oh, which is an awesome movie. I've really enjoyed that movie.

What do you like about Pitch Black? Oh, just the different story and the elements of it. And he's a he's a pretty uh solid character in it. Yeah. I thought it was overall good, it's a good uh world building. They could have got a lot more out of that, I think.

Yeah, they could have gone in a more horror direction with the spin-offs and stuff and explored that world. But um, I love the less is more approach, and I love the uh the uh kind of like the descent did later on, which is like keep the monster out of sight for as long as possible. And then when you finally see them, you're like you're you're satisfied with the payoff. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, that's a good point. Nice. So let's talk about rewatches. I know that you uh tuned into one of the ones that I recommended. What was that?

Yeah, suitable flesh. We talked about that last week with the HP Lovecraft, and I really, really like it until the last five minutes of it. Not to say I didn't enjoy the movie, I just my lady Heather Graham. I've always been a big fan of hers and I did like her outcome. No spoilers. But yeah, awesome movie. If you're into that HP Lovecraft themed, you gotta check it out, guys. It's really good. And I watched it on Hulu.

Uh anything else that you really want to? I did.

Uh I watched the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre just for funds, and I love it. But the two I really watched and really got into were you brought it up after our show last weekend, so I just wanted to watch it again. It's Rob Zombie's Halloween 07 in 2009, and I watched it back to back.

And I never picked this up in the 2000 version. How much Michael Myers is like a Ted Bundy type. I didn't realize he's got news articles of his killing in the asylum because I paused it and there's yeah, of uh it the night he murders all the people, and then the um in the sanitarium where he kills the nurse, he's got two clippings of those.

And it's very Jeffrey, you know, he likes to keep memorabilia of his scrapbook. And I've seen that movie, I mean, a lot. I never caught that until watching it. That's cool. But I I'm in love with those movies, man. Back to back, I thought they were great.

I need to revisit those because it's been a minute since I watched those. And uh I I I remember enjoying them quite a bit, especially because you know I'm not a big remakes guy, but I do remember thinking that it was fresh and different enough and brutal. And that's what I liked about those.

I wanna I'm gonna ask you to do something next time you watch at least the 2007 version and come back to me. What year do you think those take place? Because it's got a time jump from the beginning and then it's 15 years later. So, and this is a big debate I've read on Reddit. Let and I won't tell you what I think because I want to get your honest opinion. What year do you think they take place? Okay. Okay. All right, what'd you watch? I'll do that homework.

Um I watched the howling classic. Because you asked me a question not too long ago about uh the howling, and I said, Oh man, it's been so long that I I didn't think I had the I didn't think it was fresh enough on my mind to answer your question. So uh, and I was a little ashamed of that, if I'm being honest. Because I do claim that as my favorite werewolf movie, and I didn't have it like right off the top of my head. It stomp you. So I I think Marsha's the one who bit him. Okay. I think that she gave him the chance to kind of come willingly when she tried to seduce him, and then when he didn't come willingly, and he left the cabin, I think she transformed and attacked him out in the woods and got him to turn. That's probably what happened. She gave him a chance, and he chose, you know, he chose to try to be a good guy, and she was like, okay, I gave you the chance, but I'm gonna take you anyway. So that that was my take on it. That what a great watch, too. That's always a good one to watch. I just love that movie. And and as I watched it again, I remembered why I liked it. I think I liked it even more, and which is you know, it's all it was already my favorite. Now I I like it, I love it even more. And uh, you know, I got I got you your answer, and I now it's fresh on my mind again. I feel like uh I feel I don't feel so ashamed anymore. I feel like I redeemed myself. You redeemed yourself? You did, you did. The other one I watched was uh Hellraiser. Because we're about to go see Miss Alfrey Lawrence, and so uh I had to just kind of prime myself for the con here. And I I know that that one kind of makes your skin crawl a little bit. Yeah, and uh bites. I just love that movie. That's I think that is one your favorite? Oh yeah. Better than two? I love part two. I love two also, but I thought it was scarier. One is the best for me anyway. Okay. I I feel like um if we're if we're talking about like late 80s, early 90s horror, the two that do it for me in that era is Hellraiser and Candy Man.

Oh, why does Hellraiser so underlooked?

I think maybe because of like what you said, it it makes you feel things. It does, don't you? It's it's um well, and that's just it. It's it's um not that horror and sex don't go hand in hand in a lot of movies, but Hellraiser combines horror and sex in a way that maybe hadn't been done before. And I I guess like you said, it does kind of make you feel dirty. It's yeah, it's very um it's very like taboo. Yeah. It's a very especially at that time, too. Yeah, exactly. And I don't know what that says about me. I do. But yeah, uh well, I mean, I just think like you were younger when that movie came out than I was, you know. So I was I think I was 10, 11, 12, somewhere around there when that movie came out. And you know, when you're that age and you have a certain curiosity about sexy things, and you don't really know anything. You think you know stuff, but you don't really, and then you're already a horror guy. Those kind of things all just added up to be greater than the sum of their parts, and it just intrigued me, I guess, at the time.

And I think I was seven or eight when I first watched Subracer, and none of that got me. You know what I'll never forget it. I believe his name's Frank. Yep. It's when he goes and gets that nail and he gets stuck by the nail. Oh, that was Larry. Larry, yeah. I'm saying, and it disturbed me. I knew at that moment, I was like, this movie's gonna mess me up. Even as a little kid, I was like, this movie. The nail rip in the back of his hands is what messed you up? It did. That's funny. That's funny. But I had to watch the rest of it. And I remember going, I don't want to watch this movie for a while.

Yeah. I want to do I do love it though. I want to do a little uh deep dive into how they did the practical effects of Frank kind of coming back to life. You know, he kind of comes up out of the floorboards, yeah. And at first he's just like an arm. And then, you know, he kind of slowly generates. Yeah, I can tell that it was you know uh played back in reverse. Like you can tell that it's that it's in reverse. But I would like to see just like the the X's and O's of how they did that practical effect. You may have to get that on the DVD, huh? Yeah. That's a cool effect. It is. That's a very cool effect. For my first time ever going to a horror con. It was more than what I thought. Everyone we met, and I'm gonna get into the one that really blew me away, the one I was looking towards, but so nice. I can't believe how down to earth these people were, and just overall, it was a plus experience. I loved every minute of it. I agree.

It was a total A-plus uh quality vendors, but uh and and great attendees, all the other people who were there just just like us, just for the same reasons as us. They're all super friendly and super nice, but man, we got a chance to interact with some of the celebrities, and they couldn't have been nicer. Yeah, they were so cool, so cool, super cool.

It's just awesome to be in a place that you really and I I'm gonna speak for you too because I know you feel the same way. You felt at home, you felt like all these people you belong with. Yeah, they're kind of our our uh it's our tribe. Yeah, exactly. And it was it's really cool. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, and I I really appreciate you hooking this up.

Well, I uh I knew that if anyone was gonna get you to the convention, it was your boy Derek Mears.

Yeah, and he uh I'm gonna say meet him. He was the nicest person you could ask for. Yeah. So down to earth, great dude. And I I got to ask him some questions. I've been wanting to ask him since I've watched Friday the 13th, the 2009 remake, and he was happy to answer him. And he I think he might have been one of the only actors there that he you didn't have to pay anything to take a picture with him. And I thought that was unbelievable.

Yeah, we waited in line and we were fully prepared to spend some doll some dollars uh on the opportunity to to get to talk to him and just shake his hand and maybe snap a picture. And he did way more than that. And it was uh yeah, he didn't charge us anything for if we wanted his autograph, I think there was a charge, but it was for just some of his time and uh a quick and he asked if we wanted the photo we did.

He's like, Do you guys want a photo?

And we're like, Well, heck yeah. Yeah, and I was gonna kind of just let it be your moment because I know he's your guy, and uh Pete wanted to he wanted my name and told me that his mom would be ashamed of him if he didn't smack him. He didn't properly introduce himself and get my name. Was he talking about Pam Borges? And he wanted to pull me in on into the picture as well. I mean, just uh and I've always heard what a nice guy he is, but now I can't. That's true.

Yeah, we can confirm it.

He is super, super down to earth, super jolly and joyful.

And he really it was it was amazing. Real generous with his time and stories, and and I told you, and I mean it, uh, it'll change the way. I mean, I already love the remake of Friday the 13th, but it'll even make it ten times more better. I couldn't imagine if we would have gone today and I walked away going, Derek Mears is a dick. Like, I don't think I want to, you know what I mean? It would have ruined the movie for me. So this is just man, it was awesome. Now, me saying Derek, I want you to tell the other side of your story on the person you were really dying to see what happened. I want you to tell the world.

So in a previous episode, when we talked about the possibility of going to this horror con OKC, um, I did mention that Ashley Lawrence was going to be there. And I did mention that I had a huge crush on her when I was a kid. Still does. And I even joked that if I had the opportunity, I would ask her to marry me, even though I'm already married, and I was probably guessing that she's married too. Um, so I kind of wandered off, and Cody and I were separated at first, and I stumbled upon her little table, and there was literally nobody there at first. So I just took my chances and I walked up to her and I said, Can I tell you that you were my like first crush when I was a kid? And she said, Yes, you can tell me that. And then I did say, uh, I'm married, and I'm sure you're married too, but I would be remiss. I owe it to my you know 10-year-old, 12-year-old self to uh ask you if you'd marry me. And she said, actually, I'm not taken. And I said, Uh-oh. I said, Well, I got bingo. I got a wife at home, so and she said, Maybe I can be your sister, your wife's sister wife.

Uh, so and I'm gonna pause. I want you guys, so I wasn't with Paul when this happened, but he comes around the corner. I turn around, and here comes Paul. He's giddy as a school girl. He is bright red, going, You're never gonna believe what happened. You're never gonna believe what happened. And he was so worried I wouldn't believe him. He got her to come over to me while we're waiting for Derek, and she confirmed that she would be his sister wife, and I just died laughing. Well, she seemed like the sweetest lady.

And I will say, to her credit, I didn't get her to come over. No, you you kind of were giving me a hard time about I don't think you didn't actually believe me, but you were joking, like, right? I don't think uh I don't know if I believe you. Right. Well, Derek Mears was right next to Ashley Lawrence, and yeah, we're waiting in line for Derek Mears, and there she is again with a moment of downtime. I went over to her and I said, My buddy over there doesn't believe me. I didn't I didn't ask her to do anything, I just said, My buddy over there doesn't believe me. She stood straight up and didn't say a word. She just stood up, walked over to Cody, and said, Yes, I told him she did that I would be uh his wife's sister wife. So Cody's my witness.

And I just uh I just left it at that.

I said Yeah, it made his whole day, guys. Like he was after that, it could all went down the hill and Paul was still in heaven.

Yeah, there was, and the people selling it were so awesome too.

Well, the guy I so one of the things I got was a uh part three hockey mask, of course. But the guy who sold it to me is had like a horror show. He said he didn't really call it a podcast. Remember? Yeah and he said he loved horror with the metal. I would love having that guy on for an episode. And he was really, really cool.

Yeah, he said he used to do like interviews with uh heavy metal musicians. So that's right up our alley. But what else did you get besides the mask?

I got what would you call that? It's not really a is it a not a painting.

Like a lithograph?

Yeah, but it's 3D and it's a Jason, and it comes with the 3D glasses, and those guys, he had some awesome, awesome Jason masks. He had a a really sweet uh Final Friday mask that I was really thinking about getting. But he gave us some cool stickers, and they were just two awesome dudes who loved. I mean, of course, everyone loved horror there, but just really down-to-earth guys.

Well, and he said he made his own masks.

Yes, he made all that.

And he's I think he said he was a tattoo artist.

Right. And his friend there was the mechanic.

And they both said that they might be interested in coming on the podcast and talking about uh you know how he makes his masks. That'd be neat, wouldn't it? Especially for me on the little behind the scenes.

I wonder if I could get him to make me some specialized stuff.

Yeah, we've had the episode of our favorite and scariest, but it would be really neat the the behind the scenes and make it. Yeah, absolutely.

What's the process to these things getting made? Uh we picked the the best and our favorites, but let's talk about the nuts and bolts of it. That'd be that would be super cool. Was that it? Did you grab anything else? I can't remember.

No, I got that, and he put in those awesome Texas Chainsaw Massacre stickers that I'm gonna put on the Jeep and Bronco. Nice, nice.

I picked up a uh Funko Pop. For those of y'all that don't know my main horror collection is Funko Pop villains. I only like the villain. I don't like uh if I'm gonna be collecting a Funko pop, it can't just be like from a scary movie. I want the villain of the movie. Right. And I want that to be the pop that I have. And I got a decent collection of of horror villain pops, but um one of the ones that I well, I only bought one today, but it's one that I have been searching for because it's I don't think they made a lot of them and they're they're not real easy to find. And I found it and it was a good price, so I got it. And it's a Funko pop of Otis Driftwood from House of a Thousand Corpses. And I'm a big uh Rob Zombie fan like Cody. I'm a big House of a Thousand Corpses fan specifically. And of everybody in the Firefly family, Otis is my favorite. And so they had an Otis Funko Pop, and I snatched it. And it was a good find. It was, yeah, and the seller said I got the last one.

So I said they were going quick with those.

I don't know if that was a tactic to get me to buy it or what, but it worked. It worked.

That was good. I want to mention I in I feel bad because she is awesome. It's the uh main actress from Terrifier. Lauren Livera. Thank you. She is uh gorgeous. Like she's pretty in the films, but up like in person, she's a bombshell. And I hope she's listening to this. But Paul's like, man, you should go talk to her and um just ask her something. Ask her if her brother's still alive in the in the movies. And I was like, okay, so we went up there and I was like, I just gotta know, is your brother still alive? And she's like, I don't know. So yeah, that was pretty fun. She was really nice too.

We got to have a conversation with Lauren Livera. Uh, another one of those things where you know, we just chanced it, and it wasn't a transaction, it was just a genuine fan interaction. She was super sweet, super gracious with her time. And um and you had that with a couple other actors, didn't you? Just thanked us for, you know, just thanked us for uh coming up and talking to her and uh for watching her movies. And she uh yeah, she said that uh she can neither confirm or deny if Jonathan is still alive. She said Damien's still right in the movie.

She did say she thinks he's dead, though.

She said he's asked her if he's dead. So but I said, well, I really hope that he's alive. And she said, I hope he's alive. But for all intents and purposes right now, he's a goner. But if you know, if y'all don't know what we're talking about, we're talking about Terrifier 3. Um art shows up with just a human skull, and he insinuates that it belonged to Jonathan, which of course uh breaks the heart of Lauren Levera's character. Uh I don't think Jonathan's dead. I think he's too important of a character to have been killed off-screen, and I think it was one of art's games, but we'll find out. I think it's a good one.

Sam, on the other hand, I think he is dead, but he'll come back in another way.

All right. Well, if she knew she was playing it close to the vest, which is her job. So she did her job. She did her good job. Tell the audience about a Mr. One, Mr. Atkins. Right next to her was Tom Atkins from uh Halloween 3 Season of the Witch, among other things. And uh I'm wearing a t-shirt right now that has uh Michael Myers on it, next, standing next to Freddie Krueger, and it says, Myers in the streets, Kruger in the Sheets. And my buddy Cody here got this shirt for me for my birthday, and I wore it to the Khan today. And I was just trying to tell Mr. Tom Atkins that uh I think Halloween three is very underrated, and that I love it. That's one of one of those 80s movies that I think is just a classic, and I think that if it didn't have the Halloween three thing in front of it, it would get way more love than it does. And I'm trying to say that to Tom, and he's just staring at my shirt. What's your shirt say? He goes, What does your shirt say? And so I you know, kind of showed it to him, and he just cracked up. He thought it was hilarious.

Yeah, that was funny.

So that was that was our little interaction with Tom. And then I had a quick, very brief moment with uh Ron Pearlman. Ron Pearlman walks by and I said, Hey there, Mr. Pearlman, and he said, How's it going?

And out of all of them, Ron Pearlman was I was most shocked, and I don't know why. I thought Ron Pearlman was seven foot tall, 300 pounds, and you see him and he might be 5'7, and he's just this little old man now.

Yeah, I mean, he's still the man, but he is, he's the man. He's definitely uh not as tall as I think he looms in our imaginations for sure. Yeah, but yeah, just man, just a nice bunch of people. Uh gracious and grateful and humble. And that was our experience all across the board with everybody that we interacted with. Really, really fun. And uh, if y'all have never been to a con, I highly recommend that you go. I mean, there's cons for every hobby.

Right. You said there's even one for tattoos, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's tattoo conventions and all kinds of stuff, but uh but you know, you find like we were talking about being with our tribe, you find your tribe and then you you plug in and you spend time, and yeah, you bond over these things.

I don't regret it. I would do it again if you found one in another couple of months and you're like, hey, you want to go on a road trip? Let's do it.

Yeah, we're gonna have a good old time, you know, doing cons. And there was an empty table at this con, and we said, Man, we could be sitting at this table right here, right, uh promoting our podcast, and that's that's kind of my dream, is that we would just sit at the con all day long and talk to fans, not necessarily fans of ours, but just horror fans.

Yeah, but I think it's good that we keep getting this under our belts when we can go, man, we've we've talked to Derek, we've talked to Ash, you know, the big names, and and we can have that too.

Yeah, I agree. So it's gonna be it's soon coming that we will be the ones sitting behind the table, and hopefully people will be coming to us and well, what's this all about? Oh, okay, yeah, I'll I'll definitely give it a listen. And this time I I was uh I had enough foresight to make a QR code that takes people straight to our podcast. So as we were handing out stickers, handed out a bunch, uh I was having people scan the QR code, and so we got a lot of people who not only did we tell them about the podcast, but uh we got them to go straight to it on their phones. And so hopefully they go home tonight and they open up their phones and remember, oh yeah, I scanned that and now I can listen to those episodes that those guys were talking about. So hopefully, you know, we're doing this in a very grassroots manner and it's it's all happening very organically, and I'm glad for that because it's been a lot of fun.

And uh I'm just we're just doing what we love, talking about or man. Exactly, exactly. I'm just eager to keep it going. It's gonna be a good, good, good time. Uh on a semi-related note, uh if y'all have been listening to the podcast for a while now, y'all will remember that um around Halloween time last year I got a part-time job at Spear Spirit Halloween. And this week I got the call to return to Spirit. So here in about three weeks to a month, uh I'll be going back to Spirit for part-time work. It's already that time again, it's almost that time again, and uh again, this is not something I'm doing for any other reason other than just for the love of the game. It's fun to be around the horror stuff. It's being it's fun to be around all the people who love the horror stuff. And spirit is cool because it has become part of the Halloween tradition. People who aren't even necessarily horror fans, uh, they make a point of making their trek, their annual trek to Spirit around Halloween time. So when I worked there last year, man, people came in with huge smiles on their faces. They would come through the door and they'd start dancing and pumping their fists and even shouting out loud because they've been waiting a year for this place to reopen. And uh it was just a blast, and I'm so excited to be going back um and just being surrounded by the things I love and the people that love the things I love, and it's gonna be really fun. It's gonna be really, really fun. I'm excited to I'm excited for year two at Spirit, it's gonna be great, especially with that new location. Yes, big shop. So last year uh Spirit was in the mall and it was a fairly small uh operation, and this year I guess they're not in the mall, and they got a big old huge storefront, and they're gonna have a full in-store experience, almost like a flagship kind of a layout. So that's gonna be awesome. That will be fun. And I'm trying to convince Cody to come work there with me.

Yeah, I mean, I'd have too much fun. They'd be Cody, you can't be putting on on everything. Oh, yes, you can. Can you? Oh yes, yeah.

They encouraged us to wear this stuff around while while we were out on the floor. Did you? Uh I personally did not Why not? You you know I'm just not much of a costume guy. I love I'm a fan of the costumes.

I don't get into them. But anyway, a lot of our a lot of my coworkers did. They'd they'd show up either in full costume or they'd show up and get in full costume. And yeah, we're they they encourage you to wear all that stuff and play with it and kind of just parade it around. It's you know, you're showing the customer that it's fun and that it can be fun. And you know, it should be. It should be 100%. It should be that's the whole point of this, you know, is just have some joy. Yeah. No, it was it's it's great. I'm I'm excited, looking forward to that. So we're gonna let y'all in on a little behind the scenes uh uh conversation because we haven't picked our next topic yet. And we need to fill a little bit of time, so let's let's just talk about it with our audience. What do you want our next topic to be? Yeah, you still put me on the spot. This morning I was getting ready to leave the house, and I uh went to put this shirt on, and I saw a little spot on the shirt. So I got a little towel and I got a little wet, and I was kind of rubbing the spot off, and my wife was kind of like, What are you doing? I was like, There's a little spot on my shirt. She's like, You're worried about a spot on your t-shirt as you get ready to go to a horror convention. And I was like, Absolutely, this is a work trip.

This is a yeah, this is a work trip. This is our job. We take it seriously, we don't get paid for it. Yeah, this is our job, and uh I mean, I'm kidding, but at the same time, I'm not kidding. Like we're joking nutrition. We're so passionate about this, you guys we love it, and I really do think of this as a job and a responsibility and an honor. And uh I really do put the work in, and I know Cody does too. And yeah, oh shucks, we gotta put in some more work by watching all the Friday the 13th movies.

I have to I have to shamefully admit to y'all that for 25 years I've been calling her Linda Cardanelli. Right. And I just learned that her name is Linda Cardalini. But she's gonna be playing Pamela. Pamela Foamies. If y'all haven't seen the teaser trailer, uh definitely check it out. It's it's looking good. It's looking like it comes out in October. That's gonna be awesome. And what is that on? Do you remember? Peacock. It's Peacock, okay. It's a Peacock original.

There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, nothing wrong with some Christmas horror. Well, I don't know what else we would uh say other than the Oklahoma area, Oklahoma City area for the Horror Con OKC. Check it out. It was great fun. Uh great event, put on well, and it really was. Yeah, no complaints, just uh everything went great. Nothing but praise for those folks over there who are doing what they're doing.

Oh, I want to mention one thing. There was a lot of costumes. Yeah, and out of all of it, it wasn't a horror one that was my favorite, it was a Ghostbuster, and he was covered in uh the marshmallow. That's right.

And it looks so cool, man. There was an awesome Ghostbusters costume, and he uh he's got the marshmallow on him, and that was I had not seen that before. Neither or not. I've seen a lot of people in Ghostbuster costumes, but I had never seen one with the marshmallow on. And you got a picture with uh the kind of spider crab the head, yeah, from the thing.

This young lady had made it herself, and she was gracious enough to say, Hey, do you want to take a picture with it? And it is really awesome.

I thought she was gonna be like, You can look, but don't touch her. Tip bucks for a picture. Yeah, no, she was like, You want to hold it? Yeah, it was very good work. She was impressive. I I don't know what her background is, but we gave her a card, didn't we? Yeah, yeah. She's obviously an artist. Yeah, she's obviously an artist and a and a talented artist, and that was that was cool. What are some of the other costumes that that you saw that you liked?

The one that really creeped me out, Puppet Master.

I can know about Puppet Master. Puppet Master, and it was awesome. And I pulled her aside and I said, uh, Puppet Master, right? And she's like, Yeah. She's like, I love Puppet Master, and I said, My buddy over here is always giving me crap for liking Puppet Master. And she was like, What's not to like about Puppet Master? Well, I could name a couple things, but we won't get into it. Well, she's she's on team Puppet Master, like me. That's okay. She likes it. Teach her own. She was dressed up like Blade, and it was pretty cool. It was pretty cool for sure.

There was one other I'm trying to I that I know it kind of took me back, and she she had that mask on, so I don't know how old she was. You asked her because it was uh Hotel Hell. She had the pig, and you're like, are you a uh Vincent from Motel Hell?

She was talking looking at you like you were crazy.

Yeah, she I mean she had the chainsaw and the pig head on, and so I guess she was going for something else, but she sure looked like Vincent from Motel Hell to me.

But uh she looked at me like I was speaking Greek. So sorry that I didn't know what you were, but uh Motel Hell is fantastic. Y'all should check that one out if you haven't already checked it out. Yeah, maybe they'll say, like, we'll fly you out first class and put you up in the penthouse suite. Yeah. No, I I don't I don't see that happening, but how cool would that be? How cool would that be? No, but I would I would love to you know just have a table and have people come up to our table just wanting to talk horror. That's that would be awesome. That would be awesome. Yeah, I mean that's what we do on a daily basis. Uh we just need people to come up and engage us. Absolutely. We would love it. We would love it. And I try to make it a point, everyone we talked to. I didn't do it with Derek because I was kind of starstruck. I tried to ask everyone, what's your favorite horror movie? And people would be like, Oh, that's a great question. Like, so I really like that.

Now we are wearing these little clip-on mics right now as we record this. And I tried to have Cody clip the mic on before we went and talked to Derek Mears, and Derek Mears' assistant said, That doesn't record, does it? And we said, uh, we'll put that away.

So we put it away. So we didn't get any audio of talking with Derek Mears, but we had a great idea, and hopefully one day we'll be able to make this happen.
