Man. Thank you. And so as we dive in today to Exodus 6, we are looking at how the what is it, the the Bible turns or as the Bible turns. But in in Exodus um chapter 6, we see that God's promises are not concealed by present conditions, but we're going to take a look at how they are confirmed by his identity. Okay. So think of it this way: have you ever prayed or have you ever believed or obeyed? And then still things actually seem to have gotten worse. Yeah. Okay, live feedback today. Um well that's where we pretty much find Moses and the Israelites when we're looking at uh how it was in Exodus 5, Pharaoh increased their workload. Um, but when he did that, it was like the pressure went up, and it was like a lot of their what it seems like is the morale or the hope itself went down. And when we look now in Exodus 6, God actually responds. And it's not by changing Pharaoh it instantly or immediately, but instead he responds by reminding him, his people, who he is. So when we look at verse 1 where it says, Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, and this is out of the NKJV, even that statement alone, as we're just walking through parts uh that stick up that sticks out. Um God doesn't explain everything, and he doesn't make like a full-on decoration like you're about to see my power or anything like that. But when we look at um Exodus 6, 2 through 3, there's certain things that he mentions, like I am the Lord, and it mentions I appeared, but it was as God Almighty, but my name, Lord, I was not known to them, is what it says. And so it's God's introducing himself as Yahweh, not just the God who can do things, um, but the God who keeps covenantal promises. And so it becomes personal now. And when we look at verses four through five, almost lost my place, and notice where he mentions I have established my covenant. So I made a promise is what God is saying. How he also says, I have heard the groaning, he's saying, Well, God is saying that I hear your pain, I have not forgotten you. So simply put, before I say that, um, even when we look at how heaven could feel silent, but God is still attentive, because one thing we know is that as we progress to verses six through eight, we'll see certain highlighting statements and we'll bring it to like the core of the chapter. And again, this is all out of the NKJV. Okay, so I'm gonna back up actually to five, then go through eight. So, moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites whom the Egyptians are enslaving, which we already touched on, and I have remembered my covenant. Therefore, say to the Israelites, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians, I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians, and I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord. So, highlighting the I wills in the statements, the I will bring you out, the rescue you, redeem you, and all I will take you as my people. Uh, I will be your God, I will bring you into the land. This is the core of the chapter. God stacks his promises on top of promises, not based on Israel's performances or based on um what they can do, but it's based on his character. Because remember, we were saying that God's promises are not canceled by just the present conditions or whatever's going on, but they are confirmed by his identity. So when we go further to uh verse nine, where it says, But they did not heed Moses because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage. So that may seem exactly like real life that some of us have been through or maybe gone through, but God speaks clearly at this, and he says, Well, but the pain can make it hard to receive. So, um, where it says, Because of anguish of spirit and cruel bondage, there you um God speaks clearly by saying the pain can be hard to make you receive. But when we say, when we see that um verse 10 and 13, we'll see that their situation didn't change yet. So their belief is the reason why they struggled a bit. But uh, where he mentions um 10 through 13 with Moses, go tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the Israelites go out of his country. But Moses said to the Lord, If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me? Since I speak with flattering lips. Perfect. So, because we know uh the way that uh, or some, you know, the way that Moses was has spoken, whether it was through the stuttering effect, the lack of confidence into it, he's like, Hey, why would Pharaoh listen to me? Pharaoh, the one with the power, listen to me. Um, but remember when uh Moses is basically feeling that Pharaoh won't listen, it's like God doesn't just sit there and argues with him, he just reaffirms the assignment. Like, what did I tell you to do? Um, but when we look through the whole genealogy section, when it goes a little towards um 6, 8 uh 14 through 27, and this part um it to me kind of seemed random, but realize it's still intentional. Um, as we're walking through the chapter six of Exodus, uh God pauses to show us like the lineage um and legacy, which is always important, and the structure. But I'm like, well, why is this? And when we look deeper, it's because deliverance isn't just about the moment, it's about generational promise. And so to be able to see the legacy in it all is key. When we look at Exodus 28 through 30, we're able to see something specific where he says to end the verse or to end the chapter, shall I say? Now, when the Lord spoke to Moses in Egypt, he said to him, I am the Lord. Tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything I tell you. But Moses said to the Lord, Since I speak with faltering lips, got it right that time, why would Pharaoh listen to me yet again? In other words, he was saying, I'm not qualified, but God already chose him. Times we say we're not qualified, but God has did what to you, he has chosen you. Um, it's it's like imagine ordering something online like that you find valuable. You know, for some people it may be shoes, some people may be your purse, some people it may be a nice gadget. Um, but you place the order, you got the confirmation, but the package hasn't arrived yet. And you got Amazon Prime, you're wondering where it at now. Um, but now imagine like just canceling the order, and just because it hasn't shown up yet, that's pretty much what the Israel was or the Israelites, uh Israel as a whole was feeling. But the underlying um saying inside that um the illustration is like just because you don't see it arriving yet or happening yet, doesn't mean it didn't send, right? So in that same sense, um, we have to make sure we're still knowing exactly what God said he'll do, he'll do. When we look at, and that goes to the end of the chapter, but when we look at certain key points as we get ready to wrap it up as a little, I guess, take home. Uh we see that trusting God's identity over your situation is important because God didn't start with fixing Pharaoh, he started with revealing himself, and sometimes the breakthrough you need isn't external, it's a deeper understanding of who God is. And when we look at let's see, with three more points, and then I'll wrap it. Uh, we're looking at how we don't let emotion exhaust us or silence our faith. So when it mentions anguish of spirit, it calls them not to listen, but to be real, even though pain can make you shut down spiritually, don't confuse it with a denied promise or delayed manifestation. Because we know that um, as Pastor Kerrick would always say, he said, delay is not denial. Uh, number three, uh, God's promise, they are I will, not you might. Notice we went through all the I wills, it's not you might, so it hits because your confidence isn't in your consistency, it's in him. And then lastly, part four. When we're looking at um, when we're looking at this, it's something bigger, even with the genealogy. Um, as I mentioned, it reminds us that God isn't just working for you, he's working through you for generations, so it's bigger than you. And I'll close it with this even when nothing around you changes, God hasn't changed. And if He said, I will, then it's already in motion. So don't lose faith in the middle because God is still writing the fulfillment, just like that package. Hey, it's still on its way. All right, with that, we can go to breakout.
