Syd is taking over the tea stand today! They are awesome. Sounds include Jose meeting his first Hasidic Jew, an Australian man named Noll and, of course, ants.

Let me know what you think of this episode.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Day twenty-seven.

SPEAKER_03

Free tea.

SPEAKER_00

Thirty days of free tea in Mary Hernandez Park.

SPEAKER_06

Nice to see you. How are you feeling? Um nervous, but good. I don't know. And I'm adjusting to the rhythm. How's the rhythm feeling so far?

SPEAKER_05

It's brand new.

SPEAKER_07

It's it's a communal thing. Like if you it it creates community, people open up, talk to each other. Like this is what it is. Oh, where? I see immediately. Yeah, right? The connection. So man. Right now.

SPEAKER_04

I just met my first ascetic Jew, man.

SPEAKER_07

I saw that. What do you think?

SPEAKER_04

That was awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Tea is a present to attract um, you know, social kindness and to bring community together and just enjoy life and enjoy the day. I think it's very impactful what the what a tea stand is doing.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, you got to meet Jose over here. Of course.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, man. I got to meet Jacob. He's the he's he's awesome, man. He's talking to me about Bone Broth and all the different cultural uh traditions that they do, which is beautiful.

SPEAKER_02

We exchange values in our conversation, which I'm grateful for. Yes, I'm gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_00

It's so simple and so fundamental and so profoundly connected.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, let's do it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Do you like ants?

SPEAKER_01

Love them.

SPEAKER_04

The ants work as a family. There's no ant left behind.

SPEAKER_06

There's an entirely different world happening for ants.

SPEAKER_04

They have their own universe.

SPEAKER_06

Gotta look at the dirt on the ground, and half the time I won't even really notice it.

SPEAKER_04

They might get crushed out of nowhere by one of us. I gotta watch your backback because Jose might sta kill one of us, man.

SPEAKER_06

Like this patch of dirt that we're sitting on is like a desert for them, dude. And then like the grass becomes this rich forest. It's like a whole a whole other city. And so many things happen on the ground and they find things and they build and they dig and there's probably tunnels right now.

SPEAKER_04

They're probably humans. Oh these loud ass humans right now.

SPEAKER_06

And they can be crushed. They're so fragile. And yet they're really resilient where they can like fall from a tree and not even just keep crawling.

SPEAKER_04

This guy keeps coming back, man. We might we might have to just like invite him over to our house. To our little ant tunnel, man.

SPEAKER_06

But sing with like everything that's happening in the earth right now and like in the world that we're aware of. I don't know, like, there's just so much life happening on so many different levels. The beauty of life is just as fragile and temporary as the things that are also really difficult right now.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I get a lot of pain. I'd love to get rid of that. I mean, pain electro, I'm gonna hide it. The bad people that judge me, they're horrible.

SPEAKER_06

And they're also kind of happening simultaneously.

SPEAKER_01

My family, they're the good in my life.

SPEAKER_06

The perspective of insanity that is right now, there is also this other side that is happening. It just might be a little bit more quiet.

SPEAKER_05

So last night when you were crying with your son, it was beautiful.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

The tea stand is put up, it's taken down every day. There's things that happen in between. Potentially difficult interactions, like nothing is over until it's over, and even then that's an ending is like the start of something else. There is so much destruction that we're seeing, and being able to hold that is hold isn't the word I want to use, but observe it and be a part of it and interact with it. The desire for a beautiful world is so powerful amongst us right now. I hear about that all the time.

SPEAKER_05

I imagine a world where there's a lot of fruit trees everywhere, and we climb them, and we ask each other questions, like real questions that we're scared to ask.

SPEAKER_07

I first met him, like he had like a tiny little table outside on uh Ocklandic Avenue years ago and he was by himself, and now like look at it. He's seen the evolution of the community, and so to me, I'm like it's happening because that's the desire.

SPEAKER_06

That's I don't know, it's like the death of this empire is happening literally amongst our very eyes, and it looks like people grabbing for power as much as they can because they s potentially sense it falling away.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like we can't fully get rid of the bad stuff, but we could do things to kind of transmute the bad stuff into uh the good uh good things.

SPEAKER_05

How do we transmute it?

SPEAKER_04

By drinking tea.

SPEAKER_06

That's simple is simple. And the stronger desire for people to have a world that they really believe in, I suspect it could be the closer that we're coming to it.

SPEAKER_07

It's my how about my stuff is gonna go into the god every day.

SPEAKER_00

You know what else is it?
