Warning: this is an intense three and a half minutes of audio. Kids should not listen. As we were packing up the equipment, we looked over to see an unconscious man to our left. What followed was about 20 minutes of attempts to revive him. It was serious and heartbreaking. We'll update this description box when we know more about the situation.

Let me know what you think of this episode.

SPEAKER_02

That was one of the most intense things I've ever seen in my life.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, they got yellowed paint while. Yeah, they've got it all.

SPEAKER_03

Right as we were closing up the tea stand, there was a middle-aged man, maybe 30, 40 meters away from the tea stand who was lying on the ground.

SPEAKER_02

And these police officers were crouched over him.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, there were a few police officers attempting to give him CPR.

SPEAKER_02

There was like different people doing it each time, and they were just pressing really quickly onto his chest. It was just like popping up and up and up and up and up and up and nothing's happening.

SPEAKER_03

And like people stopped and were were kind of watching and everyone was moving around and other people were still. Then the fire department arrived and I think resumed CPR.

SPEAKER_02

It's like it felt like, yeah, it was so long without any EMS.

SPEAKER_03

And then put him on a stretcher and brought him out of the park, but it didn't seem like he was responding.

SPEAKER_02

Like an emptiness in people watching someone be at the edge of their life. I mean, I don't know if he died, I don't know if he's still breathing.

SPEAKER_01

Like it felt like nobody knew what to do.

SPEAKER_03

You know, you want you want to believe that like the public authorities are well trained and well equipped to handle these types of things, and that trust is not there.

SPEAKER_01

Came in barked orders, just no sense of like compassion for the fact that we just saw someone like go through that. Just like straight on to the next task.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, of course it's difficult, but with this job, unfortunately, you've seen stuff like this quite frequently, so unfortunately it becomes normal.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's like while we're watching someone maybe lose their humanity, like there's no humanity in the first place.
