Unconditional Love

I wrote this song for those whose loved one is going through the battle of cognitive decline.

When the sun sets low and shadows grow,
 I find myself lost in a world I don’t know.
 Please don’t ask me to remember our days,
 As the memories fade in a foggy haze.
 Don’t try to explain all the turmoil inside,
 Just kiss my cheek, hold my hand, be my guide.
 Forgive me, dear, for the things I can’t say,
 I’m more confused than I can convey.
