Good morning, good morning. Welcome back to the front porch. It's another beautiful Sunday morning. The air is fresh, the birds are already up doing their thing, chirping like they've got somewhere important to be. The sun is just beginning to rise, stretching its light across the sky like a quiet reminder that today is a brand new day. Out here on the porch, it's peaceful, hardly any cars going by yet. Most folks are still inside, still sleeping, still waking up slowly. But right now, in this moment, it's calm, it's quiet, and it's the perfect time just to sit, breathe, and thank God for another day. Sometimes we move so fast in life that we forget how much of a blessing it is just to wake up and see the sunrise again. This morning reminds me that every day we open our eyes is a blessing. Some people didn't get the chance to see the sun rise. Some people are going through things that make mornings feel heavy. But if you're here today, if you're breathing, if you can hear the birds and feel the cool air of the morning, then that means God still has something for you. Every sunrise is like God saying, I'm not finished with you yet. You might have had a hard week. You might have had some stress, some disappointment, some moments where you didn't know how things were going to work out. But this new day is proof that blessings are still possible. Sometimes blessings don't come in big flashy packages. Sometimes the blessing is simply peace. Sometimes the blessing is another chance, another morning, another opportunity to try again, to do better, to love better, to think better. So while we're sitting here together on this quiet Sunday morning, let's take a moment and pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for waking us up this morning. Thank you for this rising sun, the fresh air, and the simple beauty of this day. Thank you for the birds singing for the calm of this morning and for the reminder that your mercy is new every single day. Lord, we ask that you guide us today, protect us as we move through this Sunday. Give us peace in our hearts, wisdom in our decisions, and kindness in the way we treat others. For those who are struggling this morning, bring them comfort. For those who feel lost, show them direction. For those who feel tired, renew their strength. Help us to appreciate the small blessings we often overlook. Help us to walk in gratitude, patience, and love. And most of all, Lord, thank you for giving us another day to get it right. In your name we pray. Amen. Well, that's the Sunday morning word from the front porch today. The sun is climbing a little higher now, and before long the neighborhood will wake up. Cars will start passing by, people will start moving around, and the quiet of the morning will slowly fade. But before the world gets busy, take a moment today to appreciate the blessing of simply being here. Another sunrise, another chance, another day. And if you're listening to this, I'm glad you stopped by the porch this morning. Until next time, this is Ask Velvet reminding you to slow down, breathe deep, and don't forget to count your blessings. Have a beautiful Sunday.
