Welcome to the Ask Velvet Podcast. From the porch to the couch, come on in and stay. Real talk real life. Just telling it my way. Good morning everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Ask Velvet Podcast. Whether you're listening while you're getting ready for work, driving to your destination, enjoying your morning coffee, or simply sitting quietly as the sun rises. Thank you for allowing me to spend a few moments with you. Today's episode is simply about gratitude. It's about opening our eyes each morning and remembering that waking up is a blessing that should never be taken for granted. Life moves so fast that sometimes we rush into our day before we ever stop to say thank you. So today, let's slow down together and reflect on the incredible gift of another sunrise. This morning, before you worry about your bills, before you think about your problems, before you scroll through social media, before you rush out the door, take just a moment to thank God. Thank him because you woke up. Thank him because you're breathing. Thank him because your heart is still beating. Thank him because you have another opportunity to laugh, to love, to forgive, to grow, and to become a better version of yourself. One of the greatest blessings we often overlook is simply opening our eyes. Every single morning is a gift. Every sunrise is another chance. Every breath is another reminder that God is not finished with your story. Sometimes we become so focused on what we don't have that we forget to appreciate what we do have. You may not have everything you want, you may still be praying for answers. You may be carrying burdens that nobody else knows about. You may be struggling financially. You may be grieving someone you love. You may be dealing with sickness, disappointment, loneliness or uncertainty. But even in those difficult seasons, there is still something to be thankful for. You woke up today. That means your purpose isn't over. God has given you another page to write in the story of your life. Don't waste it wishing it away. Live it. One thought that always humbles me is this. As we are opening our eyes this morning, somewhere in the world, someone else is closing theirs for the very last time. Families are receiving heartbreaking phone calls. Someone is saying goodbye to someone they love. Someone would give anything for just one more sunrise, just one more hug, just one more conversation, just one more chance. That reminder isn't meant to make us fearful. It's meant to make us grateful. Life is precious. Time is precious. The people around us are precious. So tell someone you love them, forgive when you can. Smile a little more. Show kindness, offer encouragement. You never know what someone else is carrying. And while life may not always go the way we planned, remember this. God is still with you. When you're celebrating, he's there. When you're crying, he's there. When you're confused, he's there. When you're exhausted, he's there. When you feel like giving up, he's there. Sometimes God doesn't remove the storm immediately. Sometimes he walks beside us through it. And somehow, even when we don't understand how, he gives us the strength to keep going. If you're listening today and life feels heavy, I want to encourage you. Don't lose hope, keep praying, keep believing, keep putting one foot in front of the other. There may be days when your faith feels small. There may be mornings when getting out of bed feels difficult. That's okay. Even on those mornings, God still hears your prayers. He still sees your tears. He still knows your heart. And he is still working in ways you may not yet be able to see. So start your day with gratitude instead of fear. Choose hope over worry. Choose faith over doubt. And remember that blessings don't always come wrapped in perfection. Sometimes the greatest blessing is simply another chance, another sunrise, another morning, another opportunity to keep moving forward. As we come to the end of today's episode, I want to leave you with this thought. Don't measure your blessings only by what you own. Measure them by the people you love, the breath in your lungs, the lessons you've learned, the strength you've gained, and the simple fact that God woke you up this morning, that's a blessing that money can never buy. So today, walk with gratitude, speak with kindness, love a little deeper, forgive a little quicker, and never forget that every sunrise is a reminder that God has given you another opportunity to make a difference. Thank you so much for spending part of your morning with me here on the Ask Velvet Podcast. If today's episode encouraged you, please share it with someone who may need a little hope today. Your support, your shares, and your kindness help this podcast continue to reach listeners around the world. Until next time, keep God first, keep hope alive, keep believing in better days, and remember every morning you wake up is another chance to live with purpose, to love with your whole heart, and to thank God for the beautiful gift of another day. Have a blessed morning, everyone, and I'll see you in the next episode.
