Fees and Fines Guidelines
Fees and fines can entrap people in the criminal justice system based on their ability to pay. On this episode we discuss the Malia Brink from the American Bar Association’s Working Group on Building Public Trust, who developed ten guidelines to instruct courts actors about how to ensure that fines and fees do not punish people disproportionately for their poverty.
