Connecting
Abiding, not Striving
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Jesus offers us a gentle yet powerful invitation in John 15:4: “Abide in me as I abide in you.” These words remind us that the Christian life is not sustained by effort, but by connection.
So many of us are weary—not because we don’t love God, but because we’ve been trying to produce fruit apart from the Vine. Jesus never asked us to strive our way into significance. He invites us to remain, to stay close, and to trust that His life is already flowing within us.
When we abide in Christ, something shifts. Pressure gives way to peace. Anxiety loosens its grip. Fruit grows naturally, not because we force it, but because we are connected to the source of life.
As you listen to Episode 27 of Our Identity in Christ, I encourage you to slow down and reflect. Where might God be inviting you to rest more deeply in Him? You are not disconnected. You are not striving alone. Christ lives in you.
I pray that this episode helps you rediscover the freedom and confidence that come from abiding.
