Welcome and welcome back.

Lately I’ve been seeing the same conversations about manifestation everywhere, especially in the comments. What’s interesting is how strongly people defend certain ideas because they’ve heard them repeated so many times that they just sound true.

Then people follow those ideas, nothing changes, and they start thinking something’s wrong with them.

The thing is a lot of these “rules” around manifestation were never really rules to begin with.

So today, I want to talk through five of the biggest myths I keep seeing, especially the ones people stand by the hardest and separate the noise from the things that actually work.

Let’s cue the real.

I’m going to cover 5 myths counting down to number 1, the biggest myth I see people get tripped up on.

#5: Only certain people can manifest or are manifesting.

This is absolutely false. Let me ask you a question: are you made of atoms that are always in motion? The answer is yes. That means we are all energetic beings, constantly influencing our reality every single second of every single day, even if we don’t realize it. The difference between one person and another, is that one person may be intentionally manifesting their life while another person is completely oblivious to it. Or the person could know about but not believe it.

Either way, we’re all doing it. It’s just up to you whether you want to be intentional in your life or not. And I have talked about this a few times, the “being intentional” aspect. If you really would like to be in control of your life and manifest your desires, it’s important to set intentions. All the time. When you walk in the gym, when you walk into work, when you call someone, when you meditate. Always set an intention to pave the way for your desires and keep in mind that you are manifesting all the time whether you’re paying attention to it or not. Setting those intentions keep it top of mind.

Alright, #4. You have to completely “fix” or heal all of your limiting beliefs and trauma before you can manifest anything good. You can manifest while you’re still a work in progress.

Most people get trapped in endless inner-child work or shadow integration, thinking they need to be 100% clear before they can manifest anything positive for themselves. In reality, the momentum of a strong new assumption or identity can start shifting your reality long before all your trauma or wounds are healed.

The key here is gentle persistence in the new story, not waiting for emotional perfection. Truthfully, there are many of us who may never heal from certain wounds, that doesn’t mean we need to hold ourselves back from what we’re able to create despite the experiences that are affecting our emotions.

Taking action while in the process of healing still moves mountains.

#3: Any doubt or negative emotion will ruin or cancel your manifestation. Man, if this were true, nothing good would ever happen. What actually derails you here is identifying with the doubts and letting them become the dominant narrative.

Everyone has doubts. Everyone. Even the best of the best will tell you at some point in their life or in many points, they doubted themselves. Here’s how I like to explain doubt: Doubt is like a big bug on the windshield. It may obstruct your view for a second, but once you turn the wiper blades on and hit that thing with a little windshield juice, it’s gone and you can still see the road the whole time. The important thing is to not stare at the bug on the windshield and let it sit there, distracting you from the road. You acknowledge it, get rid of it and continue on your way.

Doubts are only dream killers if you start believing in them more than your dreams.

Your brain is wired to notice threats and doubts more than positive outcomes. So having negative thoughts is just your brain doing its job. What matters is what you repeatedly return to. That’s what builds your dominant neural pathways.

Okay #2: You have to “let go” of the desire completely or you’ll block it.

There are so few times this has happened to me. Where I let go of the desire completely to the point where I forgot about it and then it happened and it made me remember. Most of the time, this isn’t how things go. And it isn’t how things need to go for something to manifest. What really needs to happen is you need to release the attachment and desperation surrounding the desire, not the desire itself. 

Forcing fake detachment kills the emotional charge that powers this whole process. The real move is to hold the vision with a calm knowing  of“this or something better is on its way” while dropping the needy “I must have this to be okay” energy.

This explains why some people who still really want something still succeed at getting it, they just stop making the desire mean something about their worth.

Attachment activates stress responses in the body. When you’re in that “I need this or I’m not okay” state, your nervous system is in fight or flight mode, which narrows your perception and decision making. Calm certainty, on the other hand, keeps your system regulated and open, which is when you make the best moves.

Alright time for #1: If it hasn’t shown up yet, it’s taking “too long” or isn’t working.

The universe runs on energetic alignment. The second you become a true vibrational match, reality starts shifting.

What looks like a “delay” is the universe rearranging people, circumstances, and your own subconscious blocks so the manifestation can show up. Chasing the timeline creates resistance and pushes it further away. This is a refinement phase that makes the end result even better than you imagined.

Your manifestation will take as long as you reasonably believe it'll take. For me, I believed I could land my dream job in two weeks. I believed it would take a month for my dream home to be on the market. That’s when those things showed up for me. Now if I thought, my dream home feels so far away and it wouldn’t be likely for it to show up so soon, maybe I don’t know, 3 months from now, then that’s when it would come. Because thats’s how long I reasonably believe it would take.

If you wake up and believe that your special person could show up at any moment, if you truly believe that, you could run into them later that day. It’s all up to you and what you believe is possible.

Your brain is always trying to predict what happens next based on what you believe is realistic. So when you shift what feels believable you’re changing what your brain expects to experience, which directly influences your actions, reactions, and results.

So, what I want you to take away from this episode is that no matter what state you are in, you are manifesting. It’s up to you to choose if you want to keep staring at what’s bothering you or doubt that pops up or keep your eyes on the road moving towards what you want.

It’s all up to you.

What you want to manifest, how long you think it will take, if you fully believe in your capabilities.

I know it can be a little frightening to have that kind of power and understand that you do. Believe me sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and freak out a little bit about it all. But I have always said that I would rather be an adult with responsibilities that can choose their life than be a child who has no responsibilities and everything chosen for them.

You have the power to do anything you want when you want. You just have to believe it and I hope debunking these myths helps you get closer to doing just that.

Remember: What you accept as true becomes what you experience.
