Welcome to Q the Real, the podcast to get unstuck and manifest the life that's calling you. I'm your host, Lindsay Brand, a military veteran who built success in the private sector until the universe guided me to something deeper, helping people move from stuck to fully aligned through manifestation. I blend neuroscience, personal stories, and the most practical tools to shine a light on what's holding you back so you can manifest the life you truly want. Hey friends, change within yourself, who you are at your core, doesn't show up the same way external change does. A new job is obvious, a new relationship is obvious. What's not obvious is how you've changed internally, because you've been living as yourself this whole time and changes happened incrementally, meaning it's easy to miss. So today I'm going to give you a way to see it, a way to look at your past and recognize who you've already become. Let's cue the real. Those internal shifts exist, but they don't always register right away in your perception of yourself. And without something to compare it to, your experience can feel unchanged, even when something inside you has already changed. That's why growth can be happening internally while still feeling like nothing is different externally. The way to show your brain contrast and give it proof that something has changed in you is to go back to an old environment. Old environments are like identity time capsules. So I want you to go back somewhere, a place you used to go when you were a different version of yourself. Your old gym, your old neighborhood, somewhere you used to walk or shop. A place where you were manifesting who and where you are now in your life. Go back and observe. Because something happens when you step into an environment from the past. Your brain doesn't just recognize the place, it starts to reach for the version of you that existed when you were there. I want you to feel just how far back your brain is reaching for that old version of you sitting in this existence you are in now. Look at the gap. Feel it. Feeling this place gives you the perspective that shows you that you have indeed changed. You are no longer the person you used to be when you were at this place. This is something I love to do from time to time. I find myself in my old neighborhood, just passing through or visiting a friend, and I feel the change, just driving through it, looking at where I used to live. I feel like an entirely new person. I see myself walking the sidewalks, doing my mantras and keeping myself in a good place mentally to manifest where I live now. And I feel the gap. I honor it. I feel how far I've come, and it shows me how change can happen to you without any real notification of it. Sometimes you just need the right vantage point to see what's really happening. It's like standing at the base of a mountain and not being able to see the full shape of the landscape. Then you climb a little higher and suddenly everything makes sense from that view. You can see it all. Going back isn't always empowering, but it does give you clarity that you can't get from where you're standing right now. And you don't need a perfect moment for that to be real. You don't need everything in your life to look different, to know you've changed. Sometimes the evidence is there. You just haven't had the right angle to see it yet. So if things have felt steady lately, if you've been questioning whether anything is changing for you, this is your reminder that change in who you are is not obvious. Sometimes it shows up as you standing in the same place and realizing you are no longer the same person. Thank you for showing up for yourself today. And when you're ready, take the time to travel back to a place from the past to see yourself with new eyes. Remember, a strong measure of change is meeting yourself as a stranger in the places you once called home. Until next time.
