Hi Michele, how you doing? I'm good. I'm good too. It's been a uh a powerful day. Oh yeah, absolutely a powerful day. So we're gonna go ahead to our usual routine, we're gonna roll our opening, we're gonna do some prayer, and then we're gonna get into talking about God's words. Because we have a guest today! Yes, we have a guest today! We'll introduce them after the prayer.

Speaker

Thanks for joining us for this week's episode of the show.

Speaker 5

For another occasion to record the Truth Be Told Podcast. Father, we just ask you to bless this space. Father, we ask you to bless our guests that are joining us today. We're just blessed to have their presence here and to have them be here today. And our special guest being here today. Oh, Lord, just thank you for the technology, as we always thank you for. Thank you for the wonderful space we have here in Reverend Love's Home to do this. Father, we raise it all up to you because it's all about you and your word and reaching your people. In Jesus' name.

Speaker 2

Yes, Lord, and empty us out, Father God. We are your vessels. This is your podcast. That's right. This is your ministry. We are not our own. That's right. We belong to you. Yes. So we only want your voice to come out of our mouth. So give us those ears to hear and use us and let this be a powerful word of hope, help, healing, and encouragement. Yes in Jesus' name. So today we have some guests. And I think that we should let our guests introduce themselves. There you go. So you're up, Miss Linda.

Speaker 1

Alright. Hi everyone. My name is Linda Aluoch, or you can call me "Lovely Linda". I'm the founder of HopeWorks Global, uh a non-profit. We do human trafficking prevention and Africa Tour. We sell African items a clothing, jewelry, home decor. And all this is made by communities that have been impacted by human trafficking in one way or another. We'll get into that a little bit more later.

Speaker 2

Yes, very good. Welcome. Thank you for being with us today.

Speaker 1

Thank you, Linda.

Speaker 2

And to the right of me, we have Ray!

Speaker 3

Hello, hello, hello. My name is Raymond Messick, and I'm joining for the first time today. And human trafficking is a definitely, you know, a very vital subject that needs to be addressed. And I'm happy to be part of that.

Speaker 2

Yes. Well, we're happy you're here. Yes. I'm happy to be here. And Steve, you want to say anything before we get jumping into Isaiah 61?

Speaker 5

Well, everyone pretty much knows who I am, but I'm Pastor Steve Huffmeister. I'm the associate pastor of Voice of Truth Ministries and work along with Reverend Love here. And um, we do the Truth Be Told Podcast. So, most of all, welcome to you all. Thank you for joining us today. And Michelle, I hand it over to you. Where are we going today in God's word?

Speaker 2

Well, we've had a powerful day, and the Lord just keeps sending me back to Isaiah 61. And according to my notations in my Bible, I have been hearing this word for a very, very long time. Um, so we're gonna jump in and we're all gonna kind of see where the spirit of God leads us. Um, I feel like he's having me read verses one through maybe five, but we will see where he goes. We're gonna start with verse one. The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified, and they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations. And the Lord said, We are to stop there. The Spirit's prompting me to stop there. So when I read this, are we all in understanding that this is the Great Commission? Yes, yes, Jesus read this in the book of Luke in the synagogue, because this was uh his mission and commission when he's here that he passed on to us. Are we all in agreement of that? Yes, absolutely. And I feel like when you read, and I want to get your feedback on this, verse one, which is long, but the spirit of the Lord God is upon me. Like when I when you read that, the first thing I think of is professing it. You're professing that the spirit of the Lord God is upon me, on me, in me. When something comes upon you, it overtakes you. So believing that the Holy Spirit, the helper that God promised when Jesus ascended back up to heaven after the resurrection, we have that spirit now. Yes. How many people don't know that? A lot, a lot, they don't even understand it. That's true. It in the Voice of Truth Center, we teach it on the regular because everyone has a purpose.

Speaker 4

That's right.

Speaker 2

God, God, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible is all for us to be able to build that relationship with God and be in alignment with him for a purpose. Hence the rest of the scriptures. He says in this verse one, the Lord has anointed me. Anointed when a king was anointed, do you remember when Mary anointed Jesus? She poured a whole bottle on him, on his feet. She was anointing him for burial. Yeah. It it we are anointed by the hand of God. We are. You can't be anointed without the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 4

That's true. Very true. That's true.

Speaker 2

So why aren't the terror why aren't the churches teaching it? I've asked that question many times. Why aren't the people that are sitting in the in these big churches anointing and appointing as the Lord leads them, the people in the congregation, to rise up, go out, and do what they've been called to do.

Speaker 5

Right.

Speaker 2

Why are they restraining them?

Speaker 5

You know where I'm going with this. Why are they restraining them, or why are they not putting a deeper focus on discipleship as a whole?

Speaker 2

They're holding them down.

Speaker 5

Right, right.

Speaker 2

They're literally holding them down, restraining them.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 2

Keeping them in their congregation.

Speaker 3

Right, it's clear that why looking for something.

Speaker 2

Why?

Speaker 3

That is that's the question. It's like, why would you not want a teacher to solve it? Oh, yeah, well, here we go. I mean you're going to be pride, pride, greed, greed, growth, yeah.

Speaker 2

Let me have another building.

Speaker 1

Yep. Is it about growth or is it about the money? Well, money brings the growth. Look, I got another building. Is it is it is it really growth though? Like when you talk about growth, I think of something. When you talk about growth, I think of something that's fertile, something that's healthy, growing.

Speaker 5

Wow, okay.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 2

I'm talking about growth, tangible things. So I think we're both I like where you're going. Yeah. Right. And I like where I'm going. Well, not me, it's the spirit. It's the spirit in both of us, all of us. But the true Christian, it's growth, which you said. Yeah. Growth in the mind, body, and spirit. Yes.

Speaker 6

Yes.

Speaker 2

You don't grow to do what God's called you to do if the mind, body, and spirit are not aligned with the Father.

Speaker 5

Right. And you're talking growth in the material sense.

Speaker 2

That's the non-true. That's just that's a Christian that's not true.

Speaker 4

Right, right.

Speaker 2

Which is such a thing.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

A true Christian is in Christ, in God, in the Spirit.

unknown

Right.

Speaker 2

Boom, boom, boom. I'm in God.

unknown

Yes.

Speaker 2

I'm in Christ. He lives in me. Yeah. I'm in the Spirit. That's a true Christian. Yeah. A true Christian understands this when they read it. They can see what God is literally showing them in the Word. So the very beginning of the scripture is about truth that's supposed to be taught in the churches. The leaders are supposed to be teaching about the Holy Spirit. The leaders are supposed to be teaching about anointing to preach good tidings to the poor. Who's called to the poor? All of us. Jesus says help help the poor and needy. It's all over the Bible. They did it in the Old Testament.

Speaker 6

Right.

Speaker 2

So all of these things you're supposed to be training people up to do. Train up, release. Train up, release. But they're holding on. They're holding on to.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

I know people who've been in churches for 20, 30, 40 years. I'm like, oh dear God, why? Why? Why are you so my friends?

Speaker 5

My friends. My friends get.

Speaker 2

Your friends? You don't go to church for social benefits? You got a church to grow.

Speaker 5

Yeah. My friends train up. Right. My friends are here. My family's here. My grandparents went here. Oh, my kid, my kid, like my child was baptized here. So what?

Speaker 3

Exactly. I'm just I'm just listing off of it. But I think it goes to the down to the situation where do people realize they're not growing? And some of them are not going to be able to do that. That's the question. Exactly. Right. And all the kids that are missing.

Speaker 2

Why are all the kids missing?

Speaker 3

Right?

Speaker 2

It's a big connection. Right? Lyndon S, it's a big connection. So if we're just in verse one of the Great Commission and we're tearing it apart, let's keep going. So he sent us to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted. This is everything Jesus did on the cross. Jesus did all this on the cross.

Speaker 4

He did.

Speaker 2

To proclaim liberty to the captives. Liberty. And open and the opening of the prison to those who are. That's all in verse. This is given hopes. Understanding you need the spirit to do the ministry. The Lord anointed you. Preach good tidings to the poor. Go and heal the brokenhearted. Free the slaves.

Speaker 4

Free the slaves.

Speaker 2

Verse one! Just one verse.

Speaker 1

One verse! All that meat.

Speaker 4

Very powerful.

Speaker 1

But you see, we live in a society where people have been taught that um only the select few, the chosen, the chosen, can receive the word of God. People don't have the confidence to pick up their own Bibles because they don't trust God to speak to them. I mean, I hate to go back to verse one, but when you when you think about the Spirit of the Lord has anointed me, that's very personal. Um, I think sometime back we were talking, and I told you, you know, for me, my calling is very personal. It was in a conference call. So until we get to that point where we understand it's a personal calling, it's a personal relationship. I don't consider the church institutions, I call them institutions because of the names or organizations because of the names. But the church, the church is a living organ. Yes, the church is I am doing everything I can. This morning, I had to wake up and read my Bible. I did not expect to come in here and wait for you to tell me what God told you about you that I can apply to myself. It's like going into a restaurant and watch somebody order food, and then you say, I'm just gonna watch them eat, and I'll be full.

Speaker 3

Wow, I like that. That's good. Yeah, that's that's great.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you gotta do it for yourself. You have to do it for yourself. You do, but not but and we need spiritual leaders who are called to that position to train us up so that they we don't you never hand you don't hold somebody's hand like this. Here, hold my hand, hold, hold the Bible, hold my hand, you'll get it. It's like what you just said. You'll get it. No. I think the biggest issue right now is discernment and the Holy Spirit, yeah, baptism, and really having someone explain the word in a way that it comes alive to you so that when you leave church on Sunday, you want to understand the Bible. Yeah, you want to discern it. Holy Spirit helps you read it, and you want to grow closer to God. A church leader has a high calling and responsibility to preach this, yeah, teach this, not walk away from this and not give their perception of this. If you're filled, if you're you have the Holy Spirit in you, yeah, it ain't you. If a pastor or a reverend or a priest or what evangelist gets up and is not holding this, I don't know where that word's coming from.

Speaker 4

Right, Mary, I got you.

Speaker 2

They can tell you on Sunday, on Bible study, in classes, this never leaves my hand. Yes, when this leaves my hand, I'm about to pray. Not that I'm anything, but the spirit flows. I have to watch it on Sunday nights when Sunday, because I don't even know everything that was said. The spirit flows when the spirit's done, he's done. You know it. You feel that check in your spirit. We're done. The Lord said, the spirit stopping here. We're gonna pray. There is no disortation or this is what I think. It's straight word, dissection of word, so that people can understand it and get encouraged and feel the torquing of the flame inside their belly, and they're like, I want more of that. I want to, I want to get close to God like that. I want to feel God's presence right here with me. I want to feel him. You will feel him when you read this. Speak out. Sometimes it hurts. Yeah. Because we get disciplined, disciplined by God, but the bottom line is when you read this, do you believe it for yourself? That's true. This is personal. Linda said it, she nailed it. This is between me and God. Yeah.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Now, because of my call, it's a little bit deeper than that. But I learn from Sunday service. Every time that I preach and evangelize, I learn. I'm like, wow, that was wild. Yeah. But I think people don't understand how to read the Bible. I think.

Speaker 3

Agreed.

Speaker 1

Yeah. In line with what you've just said, let me give you. Um, so I grew up not in an American culture, um, but in some African context, um when the when it got to a time where the a child was being weaned, like, you know, from liquids to solid foods, um, this will kind of sound very scripture, right? You know this is scripture, what I'm saying. And the the mother would actually chew the food and then give it to the baby. And when you think about it, all the nutrients were left in the mother's body.

unknown

Yeah.

Speaker 1

The child would end up with whatever the mother exactly scraps. Wow. And okay. Now we now we live in. I don't discredit, I please don't get me wrong. I don't discredit devotionals if you love reading devotionals. But how different are you from that child who's received the food that has been chewed by this mother? Wow. Because given a choice, the child could have said, No, I don't want to eat your saliva. Like some of this stuff, it sounds gross right now as we're talking about it, but until we get to that point where we realize this Bible is my daily bread. Lifeline. Yeah, it's my lifeline where I realize when I go to church, yes, I'm coming to celebrate God in community, in communion with other people. But Monday through Saturday, I'm in my word. It's him and me. It's personal, it's personal because there's things that this whole week God has been speaking to me about certain things that probably tomorrow the service will be about it, will be about it, and that will just be a confirmation of what God has been talking to me about. So until we get to that point where we're um hungry and stop treating God's word like fast food, I can just do a drive-by quick quick order. Give me word! Yeah, give me word! I'm hungry for the word, real quick, real quick. That's how we real quick! That's how we end up with TikTok scriptures.

Speaker 5

Give me an order of remnants on a side of songs.

Speaker 2

How many words did you want?

Speaker 5

Can I get the family size to go?

Speaker 2

I got an extra 10 seconds. We have become a microwave minute world. Yeah. I mean, we joked, we joked, but we were doing the reels, and the reels reach thousands and thousands of people. We put them out every day. I put them out when I I mean, like I didn't do one this morning because I was busy. Yeah, kind of a busy day. We kind of did this little statistical thing with these reels that we put out, and it's always scripture, it's always worders or prayer. And Steve and I'm like, Steve, I looked at the statistics. They're only watching some of these things for like seven seconds. Yeah. Then they're like, oh, that's too long. And and so I started making like 10-second reels, and I'm like, really? I'm a preacher. I don't even know what to say to 10-second reels, Lord. I I don't even know how to do that. How does an evangelist preach for 10 seconds?

Speaker 5

I can say that actually was causing her pain.

Speaker 2

I would do that. It was like this. This is me on the fence. Uh, uh, uh, uh, retake, retake. Oh my god, I got done. And then I said, I can do all things to Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things. You're asking me something I don't think I can do. He's like, just let the spirit do it. I'm like, what? And I finally, on the hundredth try, got it. Yeah. I mean, it was like minimize, minimize, minimize, simplify, simplify. And I was like, oh, I can't. But then it then now it's like oh, I did that in six seconds.

Speaker 3

But just stayed with it.

Speaker 2

Yeah. That's consistent. And now I'm doing it.

Speaker 5

You let him refine it.

Speaker 2

And people are receiving from it. Like people are like, oh my God, I needed to hear that word. I'm like, really? It was seven seconds worth of word. But that's the that's the society we live in.

Speaker 1

How long does it take you to say Jesus worked? Oh, probably three seconds. Yeah. Yeah. But that's a whole summon in itself. Oh God.

Speaker 2

That's why that's why for an event. It was like, oh, I could really expand on that, Lord. Today you're not. You're not today. And I'm like, but you know, I got it. I got it. And now I'm doing it and I love it. And I I I I I love that God asked me to do something that seemed impossible for me.

Speaker 6

Uh-huh.

Speaker 2

But I did it because He called me to do it. And I was like, it's not my ministry. Yeah. It's not my anything. It's yours. So you know. So if we exp, I do feel like we need to expand on the last part of this, guys, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. He is impressed on my heart, and I know Linda's gonna, I know the Lord's giving her something to plug in, but he's expressed he's put on my heart for a long time now, interceding for the children and those who are caught up and not even caught up, they have no choice, they're bound in human trafficking. And he kept saying to me over again and over again in my prayer time, if the Christians aren't praying for them, no one else is. Because the Christians understand that scripture, and that scripture we pray, Lord, we proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. We pray that up, but we also have a part in it. Because remember, if you go before that, we have a spirit, we are anointed, we are called to preach good tidings to the poor, heal the sick, and we're called to do this. Yeah, and so I'm finding, and Linda knows because she's gonna talk about it, there is a blinders on your eyes and ears. This isn't happening here, yeah.

Speaker 6

Right.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna let Linda talk. It's it's one of those things that breaks my heart just to hear people. I've had conversations with people and they ask me, is it really happening in our county? Is it really happening um in this country? Um, sometimes I tell my story. Well, um, let's say my sister's story, my experience. My sister actually died as a result of being trafficked. And people, there's people who've told me, well, that happened out of this country. That happened, you know, in Kenya, not in the US. So it's not something we need to be talking about. And going back to just the question you asked, why aren't we as believers or why aren't we as leaders, spiritual leaders, discipling our congregation to go out? So people don't want to be involved because they are not equipped, right? Yeah, you got the lack of awareness, yeah, definitely. Knowledge. The knowledge. And sometimes when you when you go back to Hosea, when he says, my people perish for lack of knowledge, and it's not just the lack of knowledge because they have rejected the knowledge. So right now, people assume there is no human trafficking, and so I do not want to get involved with it. I do not know it's happening. I am comfortable within my church institution. I am comfortable within my saved friend, you know, circle of friends. I am comfortable within my saved workmates. I am comfortable because I work in this non-profit, and it's we are missing the mark because we are not responding to the calling that God has given us. And to just to add on to what you've said, this morning I was reading um Jeremiah 7, and the Lord of hosts, actually, I'll just read from verse 1 to 10 really quickly. The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, Stand in the gate of the Lord's house and proclaim there this word and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah, who enter in at the at these gates to worship the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Do not trust in these lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord are these. For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place or walk after other gods to your heart, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I give to your fathers forever and ever. Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. That's verse 8. Verse 9, will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, and then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations. And when you think about it, this is the current state we are in right now. Yes, absolutely. Because we've veered so far from the Great Commission in Isaiah 61, we've actually gone to what God is calling us out on right now. And I sat there this morning just thinking, okay, Lord, where are we going with this scripture? What are you saying about this? God's heart is broken for the oppressed. God's heart is broken for the marginalized. God's heart is broken for that child who has nobody to speak up for them. Actually, it's in the Bible. The orphan. That child is not defended by anyone. No, rarely has an advocate.

Speaker 6

Right. We are it.

Speaker 1

We are it. We have to get in the ring, guys. Like there's nobody else. There's like seriously, there's nobody else that God is going to, and if we miss out on that call, guess what? I'd hate to sit here and find out that God had given me an assignment and I dilly-dallied and he gave it to somebody else.

Speaker 2

That's the reverential fear of God. There you go. Right there is that reverential fear of God that we're we're not doing what he's called us to do. That's beautiful. Yes. Yeah.

Speaker 3

Yes, indeed.

Speaker 2

Wow. It is imperative in the in the times we're in, which I think is the last of the last days right now. People are living in a delusional world of not happening, not happening, not happening. And um, when you were reading, he took me to Proverbs 6. These six things the Lord hates. Yes, seven are an abomination to him. A proud look. Think of the people when I'm saying this. A lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift and running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. He doesn't say he hates the sinner, he hates the sin. Right. Okay, these six things the Lord hates, seven are an abomination to him. All of these things are what's happening. This is what's happening in our world right now. We are gonna be the tyrant. That was a prophetic word given. The Christians are gonna be the tyrant because the enemy has twisted the seed.

Speaker 3

Yes, yeah, yes.

Speaker 2

It's a seed to sow discord, it's it's all of this. Yeah, right. This is the twisted seed.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I mean, pick a topic, and we can we can this scoops far beyond political, but look at the division that is happening just here in America alone. Just the various divisions that are happening between people.

Speaker 2

It isn't political anymore. No, it's not political, it's spiritual. It's very spiritual. I agree with you guys on that one, and and that's why our government decided to read the entire word of God, word of truth, holy scriptures over the airwaves for the past seven days. Yep. The entire word of God went out and did not go out void. It is gonna touch hearts. Yeah. Hopefully, it'll prick the evil one.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

Hopefully it will, it I'm not saying hopefully it did. Right. Let's call it forth as though it weren't showing us. It did go out and do what it was supposed to do. Like I always say, if it impacted one person, it was successful. Yeah. Imagine the whole world, because you know they were watching this in other nations. Oh, yes. So the whole world, when in the history of the United States has this ever happened.

Speaker 5

Not that I can recall in my lifetime.

Speaker 2

It is out of the box God. Yes. Yes. And he's going out of the box even more. And he's showing that right now. Right on. Don't underestimate the power of God and what he can do when we're in this book.

Speaker 3

Yes.

Speaker 2

And praying.

Speaker 3

To the four corners of the earth.

Speaker 2

Over and over again, he says, if my people will pray, turn from their wicked ways. Yes. And I think now more than ever, I don't know about you all, you can speak for yourselves, but I am more revved up than ever.

Speaker 4

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2

To go out.

Speaker 4

Yes.

Speaker 2

I have no fear. I know y'all don't either. I do not underestimate the power of God. I am not a negative person. Anybody who knows me knows there ain't no negative coming out of this girl's mouth. I believe that God can send everything needed for us to do everything he called us to do. Yes. Because the Bible is very clear. The Abraham taking his son to the mountain. Remember that? Yeah. The sacrifice, the obedience, the test, the divine direction, the faith that Abraham had. He didn't understand it all. It didn't matter. He said, God said, go. Abraham said, okay. Isaac said one thing in that whole thing. Lord, where's the where's the sacrificial lamb? That's all Isaac said.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

Isaac was obedient. Yeah on the altar.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

And here's Abraham. Yeah. And God, the Lord says, Abraham, Abraham, stop. Whoa, brother, whoa. That is the picture of obedience, if there ever was.

Speaker 6

That's true.

Speaker 2

If there ever was. I mean, if you and he was the father of all nations. Yeah. Right. And he was the example. You know, just like Moses was and Joseph was, but but Abraham left everything about his life with God is what we're supposed to do. If I say go, go, like when he said to you, go to America. You said, God said, I'm out. I'm out. You don't even, you don't, you don't sit there and go, oh, I gotta do this. Oh, I gotta do that. That's what people do. He said, You the dead will take care of the dead. Come on. Jesus said, You don't need anything. Just get up and let's go.

Speaker 4

Let's get it. Let's go.

Speaker 2

And and and the one thing about Abraham with his son, that's where we get. The Lord will provide. Yeah. The Lord will provide. The Lord will provide over and over and over. No matter what comes our way. Okay, you want us to have a housing facility for yeah, you'll provide. Yeah. Where do we go? Lead us. We're listening. We're listening. We're listening.

Speaker 1

You know, this past winter when we had the snowstorm, um, the Lord was just speaking to me about, you know, how just his greatness. And I opened my blinds and looked outside, and the whole ground was covered. Like it was all, I mean, we were all shut in, like nobody was going anywhere, right? And all I had was a few birds chopping, and God asked me, Are they dead? Wow.

Speaker 2

Wow. And they're still life. Yeah. When the world shuts down, yeah, they're still alive. They're still alive. Wow. The Lord with us. Yeah. The Lord will provide. The Lord will provide. That's what he says in Matthew chapter 5.

Speaker 1

And the fear that people have of going out when we go back to Isaiah 61. Just get out. Trust God. If you do not know the Lord, get into a relationship with him. Know him as your personal savior. Lord and savior. And you move and groove and walk and go and walk with him.

Speaker 2

Absolutely.

Speaker 1

Absolutely.

Speaker 2

I'm thinking of the vision of when he walked on the beach and saw Peter and Andrew in the boat, and they had been out and they hadn't caught anything. And the Lord said, you know, follow me. But that but hold on. Throw the throw the net over because I know you got to take care of your family. And I know they have to have income. And I know you're going to be with me for the next couple years. Throw the net over. But Lord, but just throw the net over. And they had abundant overflow. Their family was taken care of. They had income to go. They had, they were, the Lord will provide. And that's exactly what he did. Before they started on this journey of teacher student growing, learning, understanding the Great Commission. Before they did that, the Lord knew their heart that they were thinking, I want to go. I gotta take care of my family. I got a wife. I got my parents. And the Lord said, throw your man out again. I know what you're thinking. I got this. I got you. Just follow me. Yeah. And that's really hard for most people.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

To just say, okay, drop everything. That's like with me having mama missions and not having mama misses and no income because we had decent income from the business. And I have not had, you know, the and my husband and I have been applying to jobs. God shut every door, shut, every door, shut, every door, shut. And then he would say, I know you're supposed to preach. And I'd be like, well, then why are you bugging me to get a job? You know, what do you want me to do? Yeah. But the bottom line was he wasn't bugging me. He knew what God was calling me to do, but he was constantly in fear of our finances. And the Lord would bless us and bless us, and He made He's made it last all these years that I've since I've closed the business. I don't walk like that. I'm like, God's got us, God got, you know, and I don't buy things and I'm very cautious. I'm very frugal. The Lord sends me a blessing. I put it back in the ministry. Yeah. Or I bless somebody else. Yeah. It's that faith. Yeah. Yeah. Mustard seed. Yeah. Where you can just say, I'm just going to keep walking with you and I'm going to keep learning.

Speaker 3

Yeah. Yes, indeed.

Speaker 2

And you're going to keep showing me what to do. And the Holy Spirit's going to lead me through this. And that's pure, innocent, unadulterated faith. Where you can just say, I'm getting out of the boat. Like Peter. Yep. I'm going to get out of the boat, Lord. I'm going to get out of the boat. And I'm going to trust you when I get out of the boat, then I'm going to walk on the water. But I'm going to get out of the boat. Some of us need to get out of the boat.

Speaker 5

Too many of us look down at the water and start sinking, too. But you know.

Speaker 3

But you see, if you might lose your bounce on a wave or something.

Speaker 2

Right. Yeah, but if you keep your eyes on the trying to keep your eyes on Jesus, that's right. I ain't looking at the waves. That's what we're going to have to do walking into everything we're walking into. I ain't looking at the storms. I'm not looking at the naysayers. Because they're going to be nipping and nipping and nipping at your heels. And they're going to be saying, Who cares?

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

Hear one voice.

Speaker 4

That's right. Care about his voice. The Lord's voice. That's it. That's right.

Speaker 1

The Lord's voice. That's it. You know, uh, one of the things I've really desired to see um is let me call it a transformation in the church of God today. And when I say the church, now I mean the body, not the organization or institution, the body of Christ. Because um we've Americanized God. Yes, good way to put that. Yes.

Speaker 3

That is a good way to put that.

Speaker 1

Yes. We've Americanized God in the sense that um, and I'm not against America, so please don't misquote me. We know what you mean.

Speaker 3

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

If you don't know what she means, she means ask God.

Speaker 5

Americanized, westernized, westernized, yeah. But yeah, we follow you. We follow you.

Speaker 2

I know what you're doing with this.

Speaker 1

I like it. The thing is, we want God on our terms, the same way we sign our mortgages on our terms, the same way we sign our credit cards on our terms. Powerful. Truth. The same way we sign everything. We put our signatures on things that we agree to based on our terms, right? And now we want God on our terms. And then the word is he owns us, we don't own him. But that's that's a difficult thing to say to someone. You're what do you mean you're owned me? He does, but they don't realize it.

Speaker 2

And we just didn't we just preach about this?

Speaker 5

We had a preacher.

Speaker 2

That was actually just our message. Yeah. Or no, in the lamb class. It was the lamb class, yeah. You don't belong to yourself, you belong to him. They forget they surrendered their life the day they said yes to Jesus.

Speaker 5

I'm sure we've meant.

Speaker 2

I don't think they actually, I don't even think they forget. I don't think people who get saved understand the full depth of salvation. No. And why is that they don't understand the full depth of the depth of the gospel.

Speaker 3

And why is that?

Speaker 2

Because I don't think they're taught that.

Speaker 3

Churches aren't doing their job. Especially with a new Christian.

Speaker 1

And also, at this point, it's time for us to be responsible for the four of us. We cannot we cannot point fingers at the church because we are the church. So the question for me is when was the last time I discipled someone? Amen.

Speaker 5

Oh, yeah. Powerful question. The elders, the elders of the church. Very good response. It's a very good subject.

Speaker 1

It's truth. Yeah. When was the last time I went to someone?

Speaker 2

What fruit exactly is coming from the people that are calling themselves a Christian. Yeah.

Speaker 5

Right. Right.

Speaker 2

Fruit comes from a true Christian. And it isn't about works. Yeah. It isn't about good deeds. It isn't about today I made the choice to give somebody 10 bucks in Walmart. That's not what we're talking about. No. We're talking about teaching people the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yeah. Which broken down is his life, his death, his burial, his resurrection, and his ascension. His ascension's about the second coming. But that's what the gospel is. That's what people are. People think the gospel is only the resurrection, the death and the resurrection. No, it's not. The gospels, that's why there's four of them. That's right. What are the gospels in the Bible? Jesus, life, and death. And resurrection. But it's not, it's you have to to be able to die to self, take up your cross and follow Jesus, you have to understand the depth of the gospel. You can't follow something if you don't understand what you're following. Yeah. And salvation is step one. Yes.

Speaker 3

Yes.

Speaker 2

The seeds were planted, the seeds were watered. God chose you. You said yes. Now you're a disciple. You're in training from now till you're in heaven.

Speaker 4

That's right.

Speaker 2

Sanctification. You're sanctifying the rest of your earthly life. People think, oh, I'm sanctified. Well then you must be Jesus. And that's right. Because Jesus was the only perfect one.

Speaker 3

And that is the main misunderstanding.

Speaker 2

There's so much deeper truth that is missed.

Speaker 5

Yes.

Speaker 2

That is never discussed. You know, when someone gets saved, they have to heal, be delivered, and and walk through a process of where did I just come from? Some of these people have rap sheets. Like I I got saved 28 years ago. How old was I? I don't know. 60 minus 20. I don't know. How old is that? I don't know. I don't know. But however many rap. I had a rap sheet. I had a rap sheet. I was in my 30s. And I had a rap sheet. So you gotta deal with the rap sheet. Your past. Yeah. You gotta go back because your past is your ministry. Yeah. Where you came from is why where you're going.

Speaker 5

Your blood expunges your record, but you gotta deal with the charges. Yeah.

Speaker 2

You have to heal and be delivered. You have to be free from your old self. That doesn't people think, oh yeah, my slate is wet clean. It is. It is due debt. But you've got to go back to come out of it. You don't just come out of it.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 2

You accept that it's on the cross. Yeah. Oh, you're sin and your muck and mire because God knows I have enough ton of it, just like everybody's sitting here. But how can I preach something if I don't understand what God actually did for me to come out of it?

Speaker 4

Right on. There you go.

Speaker 2

You gotta talk about it. I told you the story about the abortion in the jail, and they all were asking me, Am I free road? And I'm like, I can't talk about this because I haven't forgiven myself from this.

Speaker 4

Right.

Speaker 2

And God dealt with me in the basement of the jail and said, get back up there. And I and I told the girls what happened to me, and then they all got free. Yeah. He said, We're not waiting. Get back up there. I'm like, but it's like 11:30. And he said, I don't care. You got you got favor in that jail. They let me right in. Yeah. Go, go, go. We can't help others be free from the chains.

Speaker 3

If we're not free.

Speaker 2

If we're not free. You're a hypocrite if you're trying to preach that. That's fine.

Speaker 5

We don't unlock that lock like you were talking about in your presentation earlier.

Speaker 2

That's right. That's great. That I can begin with. I know we need to do a wrap-up.

Speaker 5

You know what? We're getting getting there.

Speaker 2

Anybody have any final words on I don't even know what the topic is here, other than truth. We're talking and walking truth.

Speaker 5

That's how it usually starts to come into this thing. You haven't said a whole lot. Do you got anything you want to add?

Speaker 3

Well, I mean, I I guess if I'm going to add anything, um, you know, to the folks listening, when it when it comes to our children, please protect your children. Please protect others' children. If you see something, say something. Go to the authorities. If something looks like that child doesn't belong with that person, there's a there's a contention or an issue, make sure you help them deal with that. Because they could be saving a child's life. And that that's my message like for today. That's good. I like sitting here listening. Thank you, Ray. That's good. You're very welcome.

Speaker 2

And we're gonna be going out more praying in the parks and around the schools, and and and we encourage people to join us. We encourage Linda teaches an amazing class about human trafficking awareness. It's it's not even it's truth class. It's truth, truth, and nothing but truth. And and we're gonna put her, we'll have her sponsor this show tonight. Oh, yeah, oh yeah. We're gonna we're gonna touch the channel. Yeah, we're gonna put all your information on the podcast and get it out all over the world. We'll get it to you so you can share it absolutely because I think this is only the beginning of where God's going with this. There's there's no coincidences. This is this is was set for this day, for this time, for us to be sharing all these things because these are things that are super important because anyone involved in human trafficking, and especially all the missing and exploited children, have us, but there's got to be more than the four of us.

Speaker 4

Yeah, that's right. That's right.

Speaker 2

And there's the scripture about if if a if what what was this? What's the scripture about if 10,000 are praying? Imagine if there were double that or something like that, how many people praying for the same thing. You know what scripture I'm talking about? One can chess a thousand, two can chess ten thousand. Yes, yeah, there you go. And so we need to join forces, and we're gonna have another class. I think we need to have another class with Linda too. Oh, yeah. And because I think we need to um just people need to be having this knowledge, wisdom, and understanding and awareness so they can protect their children. Because uh, if you really look at what's happening now, they're getting bold and brazen. Yeah, the traffickers are, and they're taking children from playgrounds and from baseball games and and soccer games, and you need to know who your children are hanging around because they're groomers and what they're doing online it's it's so broad and army from God, yeah.

Speaker 3

God's army trained up.

Speaker 2

All right, you want to sh anything you want to say to end us out?

Speaker 1

I think one of the things, and um uh sorry, I forgot to share this uh during the class, but one of the things that I always tell people we have um traffickers will come and say, Your mom told me to come and pick you up. Get a code one with your children, right? A word that nobody can guess. There you go. Good idea. A word, a phrase, something that no one's something, something that nobody will ever imagine. When that child, when that person comes to your child and says, Hey, I know your mom, she, you know, um, right, public records, they know all our phone numbers. They can't they know where you live, they know where you live and everything, right? They can just come and say, But you guys live on this street, and this is your mom's phone number, right? Just to play psychological games with the child, get a cord word with your kids. They have to say that code. They have to say the cord word, and that cord word is only given. And teach your child never to share the cord word. That's right.

Speaker 5

Never, never and don't say and then don't say that your kid won't remember it, your kid won't do it. I had it with my son, my son has memory issues. Yeah, my son remembered the phrase, he knew what it was, and we've used it a couple times just so he knew that I did indeed send that person to get it. Yeah, so it does work, so don't underestimate your children.

Speaker 2

One other thing I'm gonna say before we, and I know you probably have something else to say.

Speaker 4

Stop putting pictures of your kids on social media. Yes.

Speaker 2

I know you're a proud parent. Put them on your phone, show them to people you trust. Right. If you're if you have an uneasy feeling about somebody, don't show them pictures of your kid. But stop putting pictures of your kids and where they go to school, right, and where they play soccer, and where they do ballet. Stop.

Speaker 5

It's dangerous.

Speaker 2

It is there are so many that the devil rolls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to kill, steal, and destroy. That's right. He will take that picture and God only knows where that picture will end up. Because y'all know you can pull any pictures off of social media and do whatever you want to do with them. And how would you like it if your child was 20 years old and found out her little picture when she was cute little Sally playing the main character in a preschool play slaughtered on dark websites for God only knows what kind of exploitation?

Speaker 5

They're superimposed into something graphic that it shouldn't be. It happens, people. This is real deal. It happens.

Speaker 2

Yep, yep. So anybody else before we I'll pray us out, Steve. Do you want to say anything else?

Speaker 5

Well, the only thing I was gonna add is um, you know, like with the the human trafficking um education class and everything else, keep an eye on the voice of truthusa.org website or votc.us if you want the simpler version. Keep an eye on our website. There's a lot of stuff going on. We've got the hope on wheels, blessings on board bus that'll be getting on the road, praise God, sometime this summer. Um, you got it. Can you think anything else I might be missing?

Speaker 2

Our new space, we're gonna talk about that soon. Yep, we're gonna get a good one. Uh spiritual warfare class begins in uh, I believe two or three weeks. We're gonna be starting that class at the new pl at our new center. We'll give you guys specifics on that. Teamed up with Hope Works Global. Um, thank God we have Linda with us today. Um, we'll be hosting another class so that you guys can attend. And uh as we roll and go, we'll be sharing more stuff with you guys. And uh we are eternally grateful to God for this opportunity to go live or to go do this podcast and be able to get it out all over the place. Hello and all the podcasts is word, truth, prayer, all of us coming together as true Christians, understanding the call that God has on our life and sharing with you truth, truth, and nothing but truth. So, anybody else before I pray us out? All right, are you want to pray us out? Pray us out, Linda. All right, please.

unknown

Thank you, Jesus.

Speaker 1

Abba Father, we come before you once again this day, oh God. Yes, Jehovah, you're the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. Great is your name and greatly to be exalted, Lord. You are the great I am. There's never been, there's never going to be, there never will be any other God who can be compared to you, oh God. Aber Father, you knew that the world would be where it is today because your Alpha and Omega, the all-knowing God, you know the end from the beginning, oh God. That's right. For the discussions that we've had today, for the moments that we've had today, oh God. You knew those moments would happen and you ordained for them to happen today. What can we say except all glory to you, our God, who's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever ask, think, or even imagine. Lord, we pray that the words that we've spoken on this podcast today, the moments that we've had together, oh God, will be words that will bring you glory, will be words that will bring freedom to the person listening to this podcast right now. Lord, we pray for that person who does not know you as their Lord and Savior. May they have an encounter with you, oh God. Yes, Lord. And if you're that person, please repeat this prayer. Yes, dear God, I come before you come before you. I acknowledge my sin. I'm in need of a savior. I know you died on the cross for my sin. And I know you died on the cross for my sin. And today I say, And today I say, Welcome into my life. Welcome into my life. Come and take your rightful place in my life. Come and take your rightful place in my life. I repent for my fleshly desires. I repent for my fleshly desires. I repent for the times that I rejected you. I repent for the times that I rejected you. And I just want to say thank you for welcoming me home. And I just say thank you for welcoming me home. Thank you, Jesus, for calling me your own. Thank you, Jesus, for calling me your own and reminding me that you love me. And reminding me that you love me, and that I am saved by faith and not by works. And I am saved by faith and not by works. So today, I call you my Lord, I call you my Lord and my Savior and my Savior in Jesus' name. Thank you, Father, for this soul that has come to you, oh God.

Speaker 4

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker 1

Thank you for this new child. We know the angels rejoice for this one soul and we celebrate and say welcome to the family. We celebrate and rejoice for heaven has gained.

Speaker 2

Praise be to you.

Speaker 1

So, Lord, we pray that this child, spiritual child, will get to know you. Plug them into a community where they'll be discipled in truth for them to grow, to worship you in spirit and in truth, to seek you in spirit and in truth, oh God. Thank you for this ministry, our father. Provide all that is needed in this ministry because you own the cattle on a thousand hills.

Speaker 4

Thank you for the children.

Speaker 1

Thank you. Jehovah, when the enemy comes in like a flood, raise up a standard for this ministry, Lord. King of glory. Go before us, go behind us, go beside us, surround us, oh God, and give us wisdom above everything else. And we trust you to direct our paths, oh God. And may we hear your still small voice in such an audible way to know that you're the one speaking to us to the glory and honor of your name. We thank you, we bless you in Jesus' name. Amen. And if you give your life to the Lord this afternoon, still we'll give you the details. Reach out.

Speaker 6

Yes.

Speaker 1

Call. We have resources to give you for you to grow as a child of the kingdom. Absolutely.
