All right, so good afternoon, Michelle.
SPEAKER_03Here we are again. Hello. Yes, we're excited. We are back again doing a podcast.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes. Just the two of us again this week. It was great having guests last week, and we'd love to have more guests on. So if you're really if you're interested in being on one of our recording sessions for truth be told, we'd love to have you reach out to us.
SPEAKER_03Um gosh, we could do them on the RV.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and we're gonna be having our the Voice of Truth Center is gonna be having our Hope on Wheels.
SPEAKER_03Um Blessings on board.
SPEAKER_01Blessings on board. Heck, we call it an RV, we call it a boss, we we call it everything but you know, the vehicle that it is.
SPEAKER_03How bob. Hope on wheels, blessing on board. How bob!
SPEAKER_01How bob we just need to call it Bob.
SPEAKER_03Blessings on board.
SPEAKER_01We're showing up with Bob. Blessings on board. But yeah, we'll be able to do the podcast on the bus, which would be really awesome.
SPEAKER_03That would be fun.
SPEAKER_01So uh we're gonna be doing a lot in the community with that. But before we get in, we can talk more about that. Um, let's go ahead and um get to roll in the opening and uh and we'll get started.
SPEAKER_00Thanks for joining us for this week's episode.
SPEAKER_01We just thank you for this gorgeous day that you've given us today, Lord. We just thank you for, as always, for the technology and the ability to reach the people through the this awesome technology. Father, we just ask that you empty us out, Lord, just empty us out and use us as your vessels, fill us up with the Holy Spirit and cover us in a blood covenant, Father, and just prepare us to listen to what you want from this episode and to speak with you in mind and to reach those who need to hear your voice through this this vessel of a show. Yes, Father. We just we raised this to you in Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_03Thank you so much. I want to bring up that we did start the spiritual warfare podcast before the podcast last time because we had guests, and we want to just kind of let you know that we are turning that into a class, and the class will actually be live streamed. So we're gonna get all the details together. We were gonna start the class on March 14th. We may extend it so we can get all these details put together, right? Um, but we'll let you guys know. But um it'll be live streamed or in person. Yeah, we understand that not all of you live in Maryland, right?
SPEAKER_01It's probably be on Facebook, be on our Facebook page and probably through our TikTok uh would probably be the methods that they would be going out.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. We'll we'll definitely it it's important for people to have this knowledge. Absolutely. And spiritual warfare is not a one and done, it's way more than that. So um stay tuned for that. We'll get everybody the information and um hope you'll join us.
SPEAKER_01Um, but today we could do we could do a whole podcast just on spiritual warfare. It's a lot, it's sad.
SPEAKER_03So but speaking of one and done, um, I think this is I'm saved, I'm good. How many people may say that? I'm saved, I'm good. Um, and it that's that couldn't be further from the truth. And I actually have scripture to back that up, right? Um, so that's kind of where we're going today. Um understanding that once you accept Jesus Christ as your savior, there is the new life begins. There is a whole whirlwind of amazement from God. And it's the rest of your life is paying attention to God, focusing, training up, growing, learning, understanding, gaining wisdom, knowledge, discernment. It's it's like we could probably be speaking for this whole 30 minutes of all the things that happen after you get saved.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. What just came under my spirit is it's not a stamp of approval, it's a ticket for the ride.
SPEAKER_03Okay. You know, we have different viewpoints of things, but I like the way you see things. Um, and I agree. Yeah, it's it's not it's not the end all of anything, it's the new beginning. And I think a lot of people just kind of ride it out that I accepted Jesus Christ and I'm saved and I'm going to heaven and I'm forgiven for my sins. Right. And you go right back to your old life. And that truly, truly, truly could not be further from the truth.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03You now have a new identity, you now have a new, you are a new creation, a renewed creation in Christ, through Christ in God. So um, let's jump into Colossians three. Um and kind of we're gonna kind of read and stop and talk. So it says in Colossians three, verse one. Um, I think we're going through verse 11, but we'll see how far we get. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. There's a lot of meat in that verse. If then do you notice God does that all the time? If then in this particular scripture, they're literally right after each other. If then you were raised. So what it's saying is you've already received Christ, right? So now you're you were raised with Christ, meaning your big brother is your savior, because you're in the same family now, right? So you're raised with Christ, meaning you follow the same thing he did, you do what he did. Yeah, you're raised with him, not raised alongside of him, not raised behind him, right, not raised in front of him, you're raised, scripture says it, with Christ. That's the first line, all that meat.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03If then, so what's God saying is it's already done.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03If you accept, then you did you were raised with Christ.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03I mean, there's so much meat to that. There is, there's no questioning who we follow when we're saved.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You follow who you're raised with, right? Christ. And you're raised with Christ the minute you are saved.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03It also gives me the vision of what we talked about in Bible study when Jesus was raised up after he died, because when they found his burial clothes, it was like he just lifted right up out of them.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03That's being raised from the dead self to the new life, because he rose from the dead, he resurrected, he was alive.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_03We read this in the Bible study the other night. Alive in Christ, and this backs it up. And I'm pretty sure we were in Ephesians. If then you were raised with Christ, yes, we're saved, we follow Jesus, we were raised from our dead life, we are now alive in Christ. All that's scripture, all that is scripture. Then it says, comma, after Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Okay. So now the first sentence, we're with Christ, raised with him. The second, we are seeking, which is what do you think of seeking? What do you think of when you hear that word?
SPEAKER_01Oh gosh, what did I read this morning? Because I read something specifically in the the commentaries and whatnot in my Bible about seeking. Seeking isn't just looking for, it's it's being it's how did that word die? It was about reaching for, it was about actually searching, not just looking, but searching for something.
SPEAKER_03Right. Yeah. So we this scripture, I'm looking up a scripture. This scripture is telling us look up, look for, right, don't stop seeking those things which are above. God is above.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03All good things come from above. I'm gonna read a couple scriptures to you about that. So seeking those things which are above where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. So this is twofold. Think when you think about it. Raised with Christ, Christ was raised from the dead and went back, and and he's with God at the right hand of God right now, he's there now. That's where we're gonna be.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03But you have to do the word we have to follow Christ and always look above. And that takes me to Psalm 121. I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. So God helps those who seek Him. What do you seek with? We seek with our eyes, right?
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03So paralleling that with verse one, then you will, you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Psalm 121. I will lift my eyes to the hills, which is heaven.
unknownThat's right.
SPEAKER_01Up.
SPEAKER_03You want your eyes up. When you look at hills, you're going up.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03Where from whence my help comes from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Why would you seek God for help, for answers, for guidance, for provision, for healing, for deliverance. I could go on and on and on.
SPEAKER_01Right, right.
SPEAKER_03Seeking God is praying.
SPEAKER_01It is.
SPEAKER_03When you seek, you pray. Prayer is talking to God. With that reverential fear, taking God seriously. George mentioned that to me yesterday. It's taking God seriously.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03And so all this scripture wrapped up into one leads you to understanding Matthew 6.33.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_03For I seek first the kingdom of God where up and his righteousness, and all these things shall be provided to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Everything we need, we are to seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. That is one verse.
SPEAKER_01One verse.
SPEAKER_03And all of that that comes out of it. Now couple that with salvation.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03That's what salvation is.
SPEAKER_01It is. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03You have been raised from the dead when you accepted Christ. You are now alive in Christ. So you need to be looking up, praying, seeking, asking all things from above. Right. You're praying to God where your help comes from. That's right. Your help comes from the Lord. My eyes look up to the hills because that's where my help comes from.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03And then Matthew 6 33, go to God first.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03He's got the answers. Christ is right there next to him. Christ had all the answers when he was here.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03Because he sought the Lord. Right. About everything.
SPEAKER_01And you take that and then you get into the word. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03I mean, if people just, if folks just took the time to allow people who discern this the Bible, the scriptures, they could really change their life. But I'll be honest with you, it doesn't even go that far. One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit is to help us discern the word.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yes.
SPEAKER_03It's clear that He helps us discern the Word. He also helps us pray when we don't know how to pray. So if you open the Bible and you seek those things above, you go to God first and say, I really want to open the Bible and understand what you're saying to me. I want clarity and discernment when I read this. And most importantly, I want to apply it to my life.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03Or my situation.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Or these people I'm worried about, or these missing children.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Because all of the scripture that we've had, correct me if I'm wrong, praying for the missing children has come straight from the Bible. So God already knew this was going to happen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, exactly. There's nothing you're going to encounter in life that is not accounted for in that Bible. Nothing.
SPEAKER_03And Jesus encountered everything.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. And a very short period of time.
SPEAKER_03So understanding the importance of the Bible, of the word of God after you're saved.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And doing what it says. But being but asking the Holy Spirit, help me understand it. Help me see what God's trying to say to me. Because God does God speak to us through the Bible?
SPEAKER_01Oh gosh, yes.
SPEAKER_03How many times do we get promptings and ideas and creativity?
SPEAKER_01Constantly. Constantly.
SPEAKER_03When we're stuck, where do we go first?
SPEAKER_01We go to prayer and we go to word.
SPEAKER_03Seek things in everything above.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. That's a promise.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03Christ already knew what we were going to go through. Right now, Steve, let's let's just be real. It is hell out there in the world.
SPEAKER_01So much so.
SPEAKER_03I don't even know how people do it, Steve, not being a Christian.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm with you. I mean, when I think I think back to the person that I was, I'm gonna say 20 years ago. In comparison to now, I don't understand how I how I made it that far. I really don't. I really don't. If I had to go back, which I never would, I don't know. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it.
SPEAKER_03By the grace of God through salvation in Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03God's grace officially began when Jesus died on the cross and rose. That's when God's grace. Now, yes, I know that the some of the old prophets and some of the old testament folks had the grace of God upon them. Moses and Joseph and David and a lot of them, Eli and Samuel and Elijah and Elisha.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03But God's grace truly shines when we receive Christ as our Savior.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03God's grace shows up immediately and it doesn't leave.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03So verse two, let's go there. Let's just dive in a little bit ther a little bit further. So if you're just joining us, we're in Colossians chapter three. We've only gotten through verse one, and I think we've been talking about verse one for the last 15 minutes. Now we're jumping into verse two.
SPEAKER_01A little more, actually, I believe.
SPEAKER_03Set your mind on things above. So we're seeking things the first verse, remember?
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03We're seeking things which are above. Now he's saying, set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03They're spiritual things. What are the things above? Spiritual.
SPEAKER_01Yes, all spiritual.
SPEAKER_03There are things from God that we don't that we can't even comprehend.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03When we have a need, do we go to God first? We should be sometimes we forget.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Sometimes we try to just take over and do it ourselves.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, we can go backtracking through this ministry the last year. Because it's been a year.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. It has. Wow.
SPEAKER_03The things that we were unsure of, the things that we thought we were supposed to do, the things that we were waiting for God to open the door, we were waiting for funding, we were waiting for people, we were waiting for this, this, this, and that. And there were times when we had to regroup and understand, not did we miss it, but are we supposed to wait?
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Because if you start with God in the beginning and seeking him for things, spiritual things, well, then you have to stay with him and set your mind on what you just sought him for.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03You have to believe that he heard you, he knows what's best for you, and you just have to keep praying, right? Praising, reading the word, and he'll tell you exactly what to do.
SPEAKER_01Follow the leader. Yep.
SPEAKER_03He's that awesome.
SPEAKER_01Indeed.
SPEAKER_03We are never to set our mind on things that are on the earth, right? Which are non-spiritual things.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03All that we ask God for starts in the spiritual realm. Whether it's a physical need, whether it's a tangible need, whatever, whether it's spiritually, spiritual need, mental need, financial need, material need, whatever the need is, right? You have to see it in a spiritual realm first.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03If you don't see it, then you have to wait. And God will make it clear that is from me, that isn't from me. Do you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Oh yeah, we've encountered. I mean, how many times have we encountered that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You know, with the buildings, with different things, we thought he was opening the door and he didn't open the door. But remember everything we went through, we did everything he said.
SPEAKER_01Indeed.
SPEAKER_03But if if hearts weren't changed, or we did what he said, and that was all we're supposed to do.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Because our our hearts and our minds were set on things above.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Lord, you're in control. We're just doing what you tell us to do.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03You know, when he said march around the building seven times and anoint it, we did that. We did that. We might see down the road what the greater purpose is of that.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03And maybe that's all we were supposed to do. Usher in the spirit.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Pull out whatever was in there.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03It doesn't matter. He moved us on.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_03And and now we have other things birthing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh gosh, yes.
SPEAKER_03So, but one thing, Steve, he has said to me for years and years. You're going out with word.
SPEAKER_01Indeed.
SPEAKER_03You are the word of truth. It is in you. Christ is in you. Take the word and Now go to my people.
SPEAKER_01That's right. That's exactly what we're getting ready to do.
SPEAKER_03And the last part of this, for you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. I love that. It's your identification with Christ.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03For you died. I mean, this is a powerful verse. Your life, and he's not talking about when you're dead and you're gone from the earth. He's talking about when you died, when you accepted Christ. You died to yourself. And now your life is hidden with Christ in God.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Your identification is now with Christ in God. Because Jesus is in God. God is in Jesus. Jesus is in us. God is in us. So our identification is with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Who are you? His.
SPEAKER_02That's it.
SPEAKER_03He is our whole entire life.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03And I like that it's our life is hidden within Christ and God that's identifying exactly who we are after death of ourself.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03After and that and death to self comes and salvation.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03That's the only time it can come. There's no other religion that you die to yourself.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03There's no other religion that you identify now in the life of Christ. There's no other religion that you're alive in Christ. I'm not dissing any other religions, but it literally is the only religion that has a physical transformation that happens to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The old man passes away. Your new identity is now in Christ. That's why we always say you're in or you're out.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Out is the dead, the death and sin, and you and self-righteousness.
SPEAKER_01Walk in the worldly road.
SPEAKER_03In is God righteousness. God righteousness is being made right with God through the Savior.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03And you don't do anything to be God righteous.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03And if you're self-righteous, that means it's about you, and you're the one who dictates whatever your life is, and you do whatever you want to do.
SPEAKER_01Right. Which is not in alignment with God.
SPEAKER_03So you're either self-righteous out, or you're God righteous. God righteous in. Right. And that's why this identity thing is so important.
SPEAKER_01Which is where your whole the whole fence rider thing comes in.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Which I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm gonna take a moment.
SPEAKER_03That's right, you just read it.
SPEAKER_01You yeah, exactly. I just read Fence Rider, so I'm gonna plug Fence Rider for Michelle. Excellent book. Everybody needs to read Fence Rider. It is amazing. You can get it on Amazon, you can get it on our website. An absolutely important book for anybody who's dealing with those moments of, well, okay, I'm gonna go this way, I'm gonna go do this with my friends because that's what we always did. Or no, I'm gonna go over here because that's what Christ would do. You need to read this book because it it just cuts it right down the middle and gets you to understand what a fence rider is. It's that person who teeters back and forth between walking with Christ and walking in the world. Absolute excellent book.
SPEAKER_03Now, can you use the book as a reference in life?
SPEAKER_01Oh, for sure.
SPEAKER_03That's why I was thinking too.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_03It's it's we should tell too what's happening in Nigeria with it, but we'll tell in a minute. But the book is$7.77.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's a very, very cheap priced book, but and it you can we'll give it more right.
SPEAKER_03We'll just give it to you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if you you can't.
SPEAKER_03We have about 25-30 copies. No, I don't think we have that many now. I think I have about 15 copies. We'll just give it to you. Yeah, just because it's such that important. Yeah, just so important. Nigeria, we've hooked up with praying for human trafficking and the kids.
SPEAKER_01We have a pastor friend in Nigeria now, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And we just sent them the book, they're printing it actually in Nigeria, hundreds of copies. Yep, and they're using it as an evangelistic tool.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03Because the pastor that we have been talking with asked for it and we gave it to them.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03And there is that's pretty cool. The book we know for sure now is international.
SPEAKER_01That's wow, praise God.
SPEAKER_03Because we sent it yesterday, and what a God blessing that it will be a tool that's halfway across the world that people are using. Thank you for that. And Steve, I think, did a review on uh Amazon too.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I did do a review on the Amazon. Yes, I did.
SPEAKER_03I don't write these books, the Holy Spirit writes them. I am the one that's sitting there listening, just like this beautiful youth devotion, kids that are probably 10 and up. Yeah, it is the forum, the format for this devotion book. I've never ever seen. Jesus calling might be close, but for the kids, it's really, really cool.
SPEAKER_01That's called Turn the Page, right?
SPEAKER_03Turn the page for the youth. Yeah, turn the page 365 days. You ready for this? It is a 60-second devotional. Yes, that the kids can go back to. It makes them think, it makes them it not makes them, I don't want to use that word. It it allows them to take the word and a conversation with God and a prayer at their own pace.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And it catches them at their speed because things with these kids today just move so fast. A minute is like everything to them. Things go that fast. So having them being able to do a one-minute devotional is like right in line with their speed today.
SPEAKER_03And we're gonna have in the front of the book, this is what he just has been showing me over this past week. There'll be like, I don't know if it's really a table of contents, but I think it's more um things you might be dealing with. And it'll have each it'll have 365.
SPEAKER_01A topical guide.
SPEAKER_03They'll be able to, they'll be able to refer to those pages if they want to specifically go to it's gonna take a little bit of time for us to do this because we're actually gonna publish this ourselves. Steve and I are gonna give it a shot and publish this ourselves. Um, but it's actually gonna be very easy to navigate this book. It's not a big book, it's still gonna be a short book, right? It's gonna be a thicker book, but um not really because it's the devotions are gonna be on both sides.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, on both sides.
SPEAKER_03So, and they're just a one-page devotion, right? So um it'll be 365 divided by two, whatever that is. Yeah, whatever that works at the back.
SPEAKER_01So anyway, but we're thinking they're taking we're taking pre-orders for that on our website, VOTC.us.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's gonna be a hard copy.
SPEAKER_01It's something you're interested in.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's gonna be a hard copy just so that people the kids can stuff it into their backpacks.
SPEAKER_01So moving on from the commercial!
SPEAKER_03All right, the last scripture that I think that God's taken us to, when Christ, who is our life, appears. Wow, then you also will appear with him in glory.
SPEAKER_02I have a note here that says, Focus and attention. What does that say?
SPEAKER_03I'm sorry, give me a second, guys. Focus. Oh, here it is. This is cool. Fulfill the command daily to display your attention and affection towards spiritual things because of their identification with Christ by death to the past and their empowerment for the present by the resurrection of Jesus. Can we read it again?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, please.
SPEAKER_03This is cool. I like this because it's talking about the Colossians are able to fulfill the command daily to display their attention, their focus, okay, and affection. Affection is cool. I like that towards spiritual things. What are the spiritual things that are above? God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03And he's saying because of their identification with Christ, by death to their past, the past, our old self, and their empowerment for the present by the resurrection of Jesus. That's why we live in the present. I love that. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. That's when he comes back.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03I like that. Christ, who is our life. There's a couple pieces of really good word in here. Your life is hidden with Christ in God. That's a one to take to heart. Put it up here in that mind. My life is hidden with Christ in God. I died. For you died. For you, for I you can say this as a prayer. Lord, I died, and your life, and no, it's my life. I died, and my life is now hidden with Christ in God.
SPEAKER_01Yes. So you hear a lot of people say that the slate's been wiped clean. That's the same thing. It's been that you have to live that way. Exactly. You have to live that way, of course.
SPEAKER_03And that's where I think we're gonna be heading somewhere, someplace, somewhere, maybe Sunday service.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03When Christ, who is our life, because our life is hidden in him, he is our life. We were raised with him. Yes, we seek things that are above where he is with his father. We put our mind on things above up there where he is with our father. It's it's really encompassing the presence. We have the present to live in Christ because of the resurrection.
SPEAKER_02That's right.
SPEAKER_03We live in the present. I think folks need to understand what happened in the past is dead.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03People need to forgive.
SPEAKER_01It's past, it's gone, it's a past, it's behind, it's gone. You're in the present now. Why is it a present? It's a present from God because it is a new beginning every day.
SPEAKER_03And the past, when Christ died on the cross, died on him.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Death was on him with all sin. So when he rose from the dead, when he rose up, it was done.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03We have to live it in that same way. Yes. It is finished.
SPEAKER_01It is finished.
SPEAKER_03Your past is gone. That's right. Now, in salvation is sanctification. That's your whole journey till you're in heaven.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03It's the second part of being saved.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03In sanctification, you have to forgive people, places, and things from your past.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You have to heal.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03And sometimes God has to take you back there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because let's face it, we forget things we did.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03We forget things people did to us because sometimes people black them out.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03God doesn't want that. That's the part of the past.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03God only walks in the present. Jesus only walks in the present. We are only living in the present. Because that's where the life is.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03In the past is where our dead life is. It's pretty powerful.
SPEAKER_01It is.
SPEAKER_03I know this is going to be a continuation.
SPEAKER_01It's uh a lot of the scriptures that he seems to point us to, especially in this podcast, they're very complex. There's a lot of meat to them. Yeah. I mean, we could go on and on and on. We could literally sit here for hours doing podcasts. Do a 24-hour podcast marathon.
SPEAKER_03Probably just like six scriptures.
SPEAKER_01That's what you call that. That's what you hear when you hear people talk about uh expository study and expository preaching. It's digging into those that meat of those scriptures and bringing it to the surface. Yes.
SPEAKER_03I like this before we go, because I'll pray us out in a minute. I like this because there's a little word in here that's highlighted in verse 4 in Colossians 3 and appears is highlighted. Now remember the scripture was when Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Listen what the broken down word appears means.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_03In the I guess this is Greek or it might be Hebrew. Um it's called Phanera. Phanera O. Phanera O. Appears, that's how you say it. To lay bare. Wow. To reveal, to uncover.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03To make visible. To make known what has been hidden or unknown. To make it clear. Because appears, we think, show up.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03That's not even one word here.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_03To lay bare, to reveal, to uncover, to make visible, Jesus coming back. This is Jesus coming back.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03He he's coming back to make known what has been hidden. Remember the Bible says the mysteries of the gospel all over?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03To what has been hidden or unknown to make clear funerio tells us of Christ's appearing when we see him in the full expression of his glorious character.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Wow.
SPEAKER_03God's glory was on his son when he rose from the dead.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_03We inherit everything that Christ that is Christ. The Bible says that. We have the same inheritance. That same glory that is on his son when he rose and went back up, because that glory was all the shekana glory of God was all over him. Yes. We will have that same glory because it says when Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Yes. We will have the shekana glory of God on us. When we are raptured up, and when he comes back and everything is said and done, and then he goes back to be the king of the new heaven. Yes, that same shekana glory will be on us with him. That's pretty powerful to grasp and understand who we are in Christ. Our full that's our full identity, because you know the third part of salvation is glorification.
SPEAKER_01Glorification.
SPEAKER_03That's when we go up.
SPEAKER_01That's when we go.
SPEAKER_03Yep. So salvation is not just one and done.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03I'm good, I'm saved, I'm going to heaven, I'm forgiven. Living for God in Christ, seeking God for everything, knowing Christ already went through it, overcame it, conquered everything that we go through. And everything Jesus needed. I'm thinking of the the two fish and five loaves.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03He just held it up to the Lord.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03Where do your eyes go? Up to the hills.
SPEAKER_01That's right.
SPEAKER_03I can't, but you can, God. So let's what let's roll into prayer. Wow. Salvation is for life.
SPEAKER_01It is.
SPEAKER_03But salvation is life.
SPEAKER_01Indeed.
SPEAKER_03Life in Christ. We are alive only in Christ. We are not alive in ourselves. Ourself died when we received Jesus Christ as our Savior. And I pray today, if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, let's say this prayer together. Because that is where it all begins. And that is when God's grace falls down upon your entire mind, body, and spirit. So, Father God, thank you for sending Jesus.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_03We need Jesus in our heart, Lord. I need Jesus in my heart. Speak it with us, friends. I need Jesus in my heart. Jesus in my heart. I need a savior.
SPEAKER_01I need a savior.
SPEAKER_03Lord, I know I have sinned against you.
SPEAKER_01I know I have sinned against you.
SPEAKER_03And only Jesus made the way.
SPEAKER_01And only Jesus made the way.
SPEAKER_03I am forgiven. I am forgiven. I am reconciled back to you, God.
SPEAKER_01I am reconciled back to you, God.
SPEAKER_03I will have eternal life in heaven.
SPEAKER_01I will have eternal life in heaven.
SPEAKER_03And I will learn how to do this, Jesus way.
SPEAKER_01And I will learn how to do this, Jesus.
SPEAKER_03I am now in Christ. I am now in Christ. Who is in God? Who is in God? I am a new creation.
SPEAKER_01I am a new creation. Woo!
SPEAKER_03Old things pass away.
SPEAKER_01Old things pass away.
SPEAKER_03Behold God.
SPEAKER_01Behold God.
SPEAKER_03You are doing a new thing in me.
SPEAKER_01You are doing a new thing in me.
SPEAKER_03Recreated.
SPEAKER_01Recreated. Renewed. Renewed. Redeemed. Redeemed. By the blood of Jesus Christ. By the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you, God. Thank you, God. For saving a wretch like me. For saving a wretch like me. I am in your family. I am in your family. In your fold. In your fold. Use me, God, and train me up. Use me, God, and train me up. In the name of Jesus, amen.
