New York Fishing Podcast
Bluefin Tuna History Lesson from One of the greats! Don Sproul aka Old Mud
I have done 23 episodes of this podcast and this is my favorite to date. I have always enjoyed learning the history of our fisheries. All have the same theme "You shoulda been here yesterday . . ." There isn't a single fishery that hasn't seen drastic declines over recent decades and we get a close-up look at what it was, what it should be, and what the future holds for the commercial sector. And not just in the US but around the world.
Don, aka Old Mud, has seen the drastic effect that various fisheries regulations and trends have made it tough nowadays to make a living on the water. The insight and knowledge of this captain cannot be understated. Nor can his vision of what the issues are and if it's possible to fix them.
This truly is a must listen to podcast from a great fisherman and an even better person. You really don't want to miss this one!
