No, I'm gonna be a good friend and tell you right now, you are not going. I hate to break this to you, but normally I would tell you yes.
SPEAKER_02Hey, it's Deb. It's Happy Hour with Deb in special edition. I got some of my favorite humans in the planet with me today. Charlie Reynolds is in the house. Great to see you, my beautiful friend. And this your face. Oh, you too. It's so good to see you. It's so good to see you. We got Mr. Holden Barter. Yeah. Independent artists out of Philly. Check his stuff out. And my my rock star badass Timmy McKeever on the end. And this is a great, this is a great shoot shoot for me. This is a great show. Like I love having you all together. I know. Same. Tell me about your life. I haven't like I'm following you so hard, but I've you've been everywhere. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Like, where haven't you been, girl? I I don't even know. I've been yeah, I know. I've been all over Vegas two days ago and the Netherlands all October. I know. I was in the Netherlands. It was so fun. Yeah, good. The Dutch people are so nice and so just like excited about country music because it's kind of new over there. Yeah, so they're like all about it. And we're taking English, which is amazing because I was a little nervous about that. Um, but yeah, it was just really fun. It was a good day. Who went with you? Jordan Mallory. That's right. Okay. And we had a great time together, and then we went to Vegas together. You guys were in Vegas last week. Yeah. Wow. How much was it? Was that fun? It was fun. It was like very fast because we were there for two days and played.
SPEAKER_02And Vegas is like the long flight out and the long flight back, and 24, 48 hours is not enough to do it. It is not enough.
SPEAKER_03Because we were up basically since 1 a.m. Nashville time on all day Thursday. So we were exhausted. And then I played the next day, she played that day, and then we headed out the next morning. So it was just like I feel like we didn't even go. I mean, I got home, I put all my stuff away and made it look like I never even left. You're back. I'm kind of psycho like that. I I cannot have a suitcase. I want to be that girl.
SPEAKER_02Like, not to that extreme, but I really would like to get myself a little more organized. Yeah, it's I get my suitcase is gonna be sitting there until January 15th. I mean, I get it.
SPEAKER_03But the thing is, is like I just hate living out of a suitcase. And I think now I do so much that I like get home and I'm like, nope, it needs to be put away.
SPEAKER_04I need to put it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it kind of like to me, I think so important. This is where the ADHD kicks in. Like, I can't start working until my desk is clear. So every night with my house. Yeah, yeah. I'm like that too. So I I clean the whole house and vacuum my way out of it and we're leaving. And then I'm like, oh my dog's here and Rusty's here. So like what am I doing? I'm killing myself to but I everybody that knows me knows I don't travel until the house is clean. So when I come back, I'm not overwhelmed. Yeah, because it's too much. It's too much. I can't like crazy, you know, plane tags, and I just can't do it. I'm just and given the opportunity, like to just put it aside, I will. I know, I I agree. I'm gonna need you to coach me into putting it aside. I don't know. I will try my best. Tell me what's going on. I haven't seen you since the CRS. You know, I follow you because I love you so much. I was describing you. I'm like, she's a sunshine. Oh, thanks. You're you're just a sunshine. You really are.
SPEAKER_03And you're just one of my favorite artists. What's been going on? Well, I've been just playing a lot of shows over the years since I've seen you, um, kind of through the summer and whatnot, and then put out my first single, new single, going into like new music um in November. How was it? How's it doing? It's good, it's very different for me, the song. Um, it's called House to Come Home To, and it's a very vulnerable, very raw song about just being the child of divorce and how that's really tough. And um, it was very scary for me to put that song out because I don't I'm a people pleaser and I love both my parents so much and don't ever rock stars. Yes, they are. And I'm like, I have wonderful things. Yes, they're great, cutie. She is, she is, and I didn't want to hurt their feelings with it, and but the songwriters I wrote it with were like, you cannot let feelings get in the way of a great song. You can and I was like, They must be so crazy.
SPEAKER_02You did uh you did a little song about that, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Actually, we got lunch and I showed her that song like it's a really yeah, it's a great song, but it's hard to like be that raw sometimes, like with the people you're saying. And they were like, like, it wasn't like that at all, like because we did a whole music video. And then they're like, we didn't fight like that. I'm like, we kind of have to play it a little bit.
SPEAKER_03And by the way, you did now. Like my dad said the same thing when he when I said it to him. I was literally shaking, I was crying, and I was like so scared to send it to them. And um, but I did, and he had like the best response. My mom loves it too, and but he was just like, you know, we don't hate each other because it said in the song, like, why they hate each other. But as a kid it felt that way because why else would we not all be together then? Right, you know, so it was kind of like hard, and so yeah, so that song came out. Love that song. Um it's out now. I've heard it's amazing. Thank you, um, and then I've just been kind of getting ready for new music for next year. I'm gonna do an EP in the fall. And I'm trying to decide which songs I want to be singles, which is like the hardest thing ever for me to do. Yeah, it's tough, it's difficult. Um, because I don't know which direction I really want to go, like starting off, but I have an idea. So doing that, and then I'm really just trying to write for some other artists now and get more into songwriting a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Happy December, happy home. Yes. You look like you need a much needed like Charlie Day. I'm so turn on Hallmark and just literally elf on replay. Exactly. That's my favorite. Me too. I love it so much. I watch it all year because it just makes me happy.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's hilarious. It's hilarious. Santa Claus is also. Santa Claus is very funny.
SPEAKER_04I love Christmas vacation. That's a good one. They're just all so good.
SPEAKER_03Like, this is why Christmas is the best. It's so magical.
SPEAKER_04Are you going back to Florida? Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Going home for Christmas. Next week, yeah. How's your mom? She's good. She's good. She's looking forward to a break too from school with kids. She's a teacher, so she's like ready to mean we're we're our minds are built to know that the break is coming.
SPEAKER_02Like we're like Christmas is playtime, right? Yes, totally. You know, so I'm glad I'm so glad you're getting some time off. I really am. Where have you been performing?
SPEAKER_03So I did the Vegas thing, I did the Netherlands. I was just in the world. You looked beautiful, by the way. Thank you. You look so beautiful. You killed it on the wardrobe. I'm so proud of you. I tried. I was like, NFR is like a fashion show for the girls. It totally is a fashion show. I didn't know I was going to like the week before, and I was like, I am not buying anything for this. I have so much stuff. I just need to pick something. You got the dolly dreams together. I do. You do. I do. The boot closet is hilarious. It's amazing. That's every girl's dream in a boot closet. Yes, and uh, it's the perfect way to store them too. That's really the only reason it started was absolutely to store the boots.
SPEAKER_02And there's no good way to store them, and there's no good way to pack them.
SPEAKER_03No, there's not.
SPEAKER_02It's you know it's so hard. Yeah, between Texas and Nashville and Philly, I've they've been everywhere.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it's they've seen a lot of stuff and they take up a lot of room. They take up a lot and they're heavy. Yep, yep. I know I brought two good boots to Vegas and then one Amazon cheap, like light pair, because well, they were the first only ones that matched, and also because they're light. So I was like, okay, my suitcase will not be overweight. And you don't care, right?
SPEAKER_02I know there's nothing worse. There's not.
SPEAKER_03In the Netherlands, both my bags were overweight, so that was really fun.
SPEAKER_02Um I love how it goes from$40 to immediately to$100. I'm like, there's not a grace period. I know. Like there's no wiggle room at like$51. I mean, it's like bang, it's a hundred. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And also, like, why do I not just pay$50 more dollars so it's a hundred? Like, or it's a hundred plus what you pay. Yes, because when I went to the Netherlands, one of my bags was overweight at like 80 pounds. And then the other one wasn't. Thank you for getting that on the game. Yeah, I mean, it was like judgment free zones. Judgment free zones. I mean, I do it again. But you were there for like three or four weeks. I was there for, yeah. I was gone for a month total. So it's like obviously, I mean, I went to Mexico and took two suitcases. So obviously, I'm gone for a month. Absolutely. I'm gonna have two suitcases.
SPEAKER_02And girls have stuff, like we're product people.
SPEAKER_03The makeup, the hair stuff. Totally.
SPEAKER_02There's and then we all have this one thing. Like, Aleia's traveling with me this week, but I'm like, she has her stuff. And I have if you could see our bathroom, it's like like or a throw up in it.
SPEAKER_03It is, we just have a lot of things. We do, it takes a lot, it does.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've always been a product girl though. Like, I literally my husband's like, You have something for every I'm like, Yeah, man. Amen. I do. Because you know, that's right. Because I'm worth it.
SPEAKER_03You are and you gotta deserve it. That is the thing I learned like now, next year, when I go. I didn't know what the Netherlands was like or if they had the same brands or like it was like and they do have a lot of the same. Yeah, I am going bad. Yeah, yeah. Can we go with you? Can we be your greatest? Can we be your fun?
SPEAKER_02That would be so good. Oh my gosh, that would be all right. Timmy, hold on, we're taking a month off, we're going to try to be able to be able to be able to be so fun. That would be ridiculous.
SPEAKER_03That's a big like country fan base, or yes, so but it's growing, so it's like very niche. So they a lot of the shows were sold out though, so like it is. You gotta warm it. It is a thing, you know? Like, but a lot, some half were in theaters, half were in clubs, so like half the so the clubs were like more younger people, and then the theaters were more older people, and so but the difference of the shows were crazy because the theater they're sitting and like watching, yeah, right, which was really awkward for me and not my normal, and then the clubs were really fun, same kind of Nashville energy. Um, but yeah, it was very interesting, just like, and I don't know, just presenting music to them that is still kind of new, but knowing that they love it and want to get to know it as well. Yeah, you had such an amazing reception.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, people it was rare. What a great experience.
SPEAKER_03The originals too. We did covers and originals, and um, they loved the stories behind the songs and just kind of knowing a little bit about songwriting because I think everyone loves that. If they don't know anything about it at all, they're interested to hear you know how it works and how the songs are. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's a whole other holy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so that was yeah, it was cool. That's are you taking a little break now that we're I don't think a lot of people know, the viewers know that Nashville and country music gets a little quiet. Like shuts down, like shuts down, right?
SPEAKER_04And not today.
SPEAKER_02Not today. Not yet, maybe next week. You know, it's next week, yes. Kind of season that happens, and um, it's really funny too, because I didn't know that there were actual seasonal restaurants in Nashville. Really? Yeah, like the pop-ups? No, that like close you know, mid-December till mid-March. Wow, yeah. Do you know what? I don't know. I have a list I'll send it to. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I was reading this article one time and how it really is. Well, Nashville shuts down. I mean, not only the country music industry, but like the Nashville, because like I when I used to play on Broadway in the winters, that's when it would just suck because that no one didn't.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I know, right? That's like you might as well stay at home and arrange that. Yeah. You know, I think it's I tell people like this actually last week that early December is a really good time to come. Yeah. Because you're still getting empty. You know, it's empty, you still get the vibe of the Christmas, you still get but you're not waiting in line with 50 bachelorettes. Right, absolutely. Oh, yeah, that's like a good time. Or late November is always a good time. You can get in any restaurant you want to, and it's just he's and it's not blazing hot. It's not blazing hot. There's not a lot of bachelorettes throwing up in your shoes. It's probably okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, that's so you're going to Florida. Yes. How are we? Um, I'm going till January. So like beginning of January, kind of. Um, but yeah, I'm going home a little early because my grandma's birthday is next week. So I want to be home for that. Yes, her 89th birthday. Wow. And then my granddaddy's 90th is in January. So I'll be going back at the end of January for that. But um, yeah, so just going a little early and then going to Dallas for New Year's with some friends and coming back to Orlando. And once my mom goes back to school, then I'll go. Yeah. I'll go back.
SPEAKER_02You feel like normal. Like that's like, I don't know. I think when even if you're not a student or a teacher, I think like I remember school opening, like, you know, at home. Holden and I are from the same city. Yeah. Um literally same. Oh my gosh, no way. That's we were destined to be friends. Yeah, and it's so funny because I like I remember like the first day of school, the buses were coming down the street, whenever I'm like, I gotta get my shit together. Like summer's over. Like I literally felt like summer is over. I'm like, put away the flip-flops, where's the pumpkins?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like you morph, it's like a mindset thing.
SPEAKER_03It is. I I always wonder if people think like that because I literally think of my year as school year still, and I don't know if it's because my mom is a teacher, so I'm just always like on her calendar. I think we're all like that. I think that is. I love that. Okay, good. You're not the only few girl. Because then summer comes and like, oh, cool, summer break. Then I'm like, oh wait, no, there's not summer break anymore. Yeah, literally, literally.
SPEAKER_02And this is another thing I do that I'm really guilty of, like coming here, like I'm like, I'm not working Friday, I'm pre-gaming for my show. Right? Yeah. Right? And I'm like, I'm sucking the whole weekend. I'm like, I'm going to Nashville. And it was just like, I literally was in vacation mode, even though this is my job. I was in vacation mode before long before I got here.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it's hard to get out of that vacation mode too. Like in Vegas, like the moment I landed there, it's all every time I go there, I land my voicing right too.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Vegas gives me like a headache though sometimes. Like it's just like it's a it's extra. It's a lot of screen. It's a lot of hair. It's a lot dry. It just feels heavy. It's definitely very like overwhelmed. We won't go there, but like it's just feels like like heavy. I don't know. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's uh Sin City, right? Yeah, well, yeah, exactly. At first I was like, if I say that, it's not, that's really embarrassing.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, no, it's like I've called different artists' name wrong names today. I've reps I know. I know. I went to an industry party last night and I was like it was fun. Yeah, it's really fun. I'm like, if they're gonna open a bar, who am I to tell them they can't pour drinks? Right? Yeah, you know, I don't want to somebody be like, that woman's not gonna tip me. Like, so you know, it was just it was really fun. And then we had to like rush back because we had an early start this morning, and you know, you know, you've done the CRS and you know like you're doing 75 interviews.
SPEAKER_03It's insane at a time, yeah. Yeah, and so when we landed, like my voice immediately is dry, and I'm like, cool, great, love that because I don't play till tomorrow, so it's probably gonna be worse, you know. Right. And so, but like it's not, even though Vegas is so fun and it's NFR, so we're like, you know, trying to shop and see all the things and do everything. Like, I still am working, so like I can't at my voice is dry, so I don't need drinks because my voice will get dry. Worse, right, and then so now you're just doubling the dehydration. So I'm like, I mean, every ID thing is to get a hydration. I'm actually getting one after this. Are you? Uh-huh. Let's go with Charlie. Yes, I'm going to get one because they're going to be a little bit more.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I can do the needle thing. I don't know. You don't like needles? I used to do like every two months. So and it's so easy. Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_03It really does. I just don't look. Yeah, I can look on other people when they do it to other people, but if it's me, I'm like, mm-mm. Can't see it. I don't want to. Can you feel the difference?
SPEAKER_04Totally. Oh, totally.
SPEAKER_03Especially my voice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I've done it a bunch, especially if I'm like sick right before a show. Yes. Like I you do an IV and they put like like vitamins and stuff in there. Yeah, yeah, they do.
SPEAKER_03They'll see special concoction just for you. Yeah. But I didn't have like we didn't have time like in Vegas. So the night that I went to bed, we like had an event to go to. Dylan Carmichael, a friend of mine, was playing, so I was like, we have to go see him, but it wasn't till 10. So I was like, oh gosh, I probably don't need to be out till 10 since we've been up since one. Right. And um, so anyway, you give your like soft spot where you're like, I can't be at this and I got it. So I chugged five bottles of water before bed, which worked, but also I was up going to the bathroom. Right, exactly. And so, but it worked. I woke up and was like so hydrated. That's so good. That's just fine dehydrates the death out of you. Yes, it does. It totally does.
SPEAKER_02It's a wreck, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But once I played, then I was like, all right, it's a vacation now for the next six hours that we're here because it can't be vacation until my work is done. Absolutely. I just even in the Netherlands, same thing. It's the cleaning house thing.
SPEAKER_02It's what it's got, you know, I don't feel right coming back. No. Because I can't be unorganized and late and messy. Yeah, like you, we get to be.
SPEAKER_03Like being late today uh like stresses me out so much. I'm always on time. I'm like, girl, oh I hate it. I hate it. It's ridiculous. I'm always on time, but that's just an another weird quirk or whatever that is called that I have.
SPEAKER_02I know. Um I'm I I try to be on time a lot, but I am easily strayed. Yeah. Like, you know, squirrel, squirrel. And I'm like, okay. And then I'll put God forbid we throw a TV on, or yeah. Somebody wants to tell me something. I'm like, I just need 10 minutes. And my husband goes, This you don't you don't know what 10 minutes is. Yeah. You have no idea. You have no idea what actual time is 10 minutes because you're like an why and then I get like, why are you rushing me? Yeah. Kind of thing. You know, 10 minutes is 30. 10 minutes in girls world. It's it's girl math. Yes, girl math. That's a good thing. Totally. Somebody said that to me on the plane. I forget who it was. Um, they were doing girl math. They're like, you know how if you have$50 in your checking account in our mind, we can spend$49. Like, and we have that our Amazon subscriptions coming out that month.
SPEAKER_03Yep. That's a total girl math. Yeah, my friend, we were looking last year at Kelsey Ballerini tickets, and she was like, Okay, if you can find some for like 45, I have 46 in my account. So if you can get it for 45, I was like, No, I'm gonna be a good friend and tell you right now, you are not going. I hate to break this to you, but you're like normally I would tell you, yes, but we already went, so you do not need to spend that money on this. Starbucks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right, one wanted Starbucks and sick. You know, it's so true though, when you want something bad enough, you're like, we'll figure it out. Like I'm at my age, your friends are like, I'll just cover you this time, you cover me. You know what I mean? Like you can figure it out. Yeah. Like, because you gotta go to life. We start to figure it out that way. Totally. When you're an adult, you're like, I got it this time. You just don't want to think about it as money, it just becomes part of your life. Yeah, totally what you do. So, what else is going on? Oh, I have to tell you, I'm a grandma. No, yeah. Oh my god, guess what her name is? What? Lainey. Oh, Lainey, thanks. She's so fabulous. Uh, she just turned. I don't want somebody to come at me with a knife. Uh seven, eight months old. Oh. Eight months old. So we're like super excited for this video. Is it your first one? It is. It totally is. Timmy is an uncle of two now. Oh my gosh, no way.
SPEAKER_00Just had the second one on last Tuesday. Last Tuesday, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know. I shot your dad text and I see him holding this baby. I'm like, Where's your wife? No. Oh that is so cute, though. How fun. It's amazing. It's it's literally it's I say a lot of things are life-changing. In my life, a lot of things are life-changing, but it's life-changing. Yeah. You know, and when she sees me, she does this. I'm like, all of you back off. Yeah. You're like, she's my Laney now. We're gonna have some alone. Yes. Yeah, it's it's amazing. And just this holiday season, I I love this time of year. Thanksgiving's my favorite day, and that stretch we do. And it was so late. Like, Thanksgiving was so late, they was like bang, get the Christmas decorations up, or you just don't have your shit together. I know. And I live in a neighborhood, it's like like Bob and Mary have their stuff. Bob and Mary are placed as Homer Simpson, and now they have SpongeBob in their front line. But yeah, it's kind of crazy. So I instantly, you know, started freaking out. Oh, yeah. I have to tell you guys all a story because you guys all may know me pretty well. I don't I'm not crafty, um, the last guest that poured candles, like I light the house on fire. Um I stick to what I'm good at, right? So we're trying to decorate, and you know, we had moved last year and had stuff from my Dallas house, and everything's going on. So my neighbor, who I love, I love her, and I know she's watching. Allie, you rock sister. Um she's just fabulous. She's just like you. She's got this bright sunshine, beautiful. She loves country music, she comes down here all the time. I gotta, she's gotta meet you. Yeah, she's so fantastic. And um, she's so funny. She's like, she had these beautiful greens, like just hanging in the perfect clothes and whatever. And she's like, I go, okay, I am pick up the William Sonoma catalog and be like, just that on page 11, just send it. Just send that on page 11. And she's like, I want you to go to Hobby Lobby. And I'm like, I don't think I can do it. Oh my gosh. I'm like, one of my friends finds out I am in Hobby Lobby. So it's okay, Princeton, New Jersey is very close to where we live in Philadelphia. And um my husband's a rock star, he is the best. And he we go to Saturday, the most insane day. Oh my god. I didn't even like Tampa. This is what he said. He goes, I'll take you to a steakhouse if you go to Hobby Lobby. I'm like, okay. This is persuasion. I'm like, which one? Why not? Yeah, exactly. And we go into Hobby Lobby, and I immediately started having like a breaking out in high like a panic attack.
SPEAKER_03Oh, no way.
SPEAKER_02I don't do in Texas, you don't go to the food. Store the food store comes to you because if you get it in H E B, there's a very good chance you're not getting out.
SPEAKER_03They're insane.
SPEAKER_02It's insane. And at Costco's and Sandy.
SPEAKER_03I can't do Costco.
SPEAKER_04That's intense. I can't.
SPEAKER_03Well, let me re rewind. I can't do Costco on a weekend. No. I did it one time and I was doing Instacart for people, and I almost had an anxiety attack. Actually, I did have an anxiety attack. If you can find the stuff even like they don't have signs on the you just have to use your intuition.
SPEAKER_02It is so it is, and every like I don't understand. And for the my you know parents that watch and whatever, like, leave your damn kids at home with some babysitter.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Don't be taking your sister, your mother, 14 kids, the soccer team. It's a one-man operation. You don't need to take everybody. So speaking of Instacart, and it's please reach out to us. We'd all love you to sponsor us. But um I it's 75 bucks a year. They deliver for free. You never have to walk in any of these places. Last time I was here when I was speaking here back in September or October, and I woke up and I had like SpongeBob eyes like stuck out. A little like CVS, and they like they're there in like five minutes. 75 bucks a year for me to maintain my sanity. I mean, yeah. I mean, honestly. That's not bad at all. You can't even so we get to the car and then we're like, we're going. Do you guys know what At Home is? Yeah. Yeah, they're big in the south. I think there's one in Princeton, I don't know where else there are my husband.
SPEAKER_03Those are also pretty intense. Very cool, very intense, right?
SPEAKER_02And I walked in. First I walked in and there's all the blow up, and I'm like, and it was really funny. And my husband, so he's like, girl, you've got this. Yeah, you're like, so everybody left Hobby Lobby with a panic attack, got to at home, and they didn't have the stuff I needed. Who goes back? What are you looking for? Greens to get to look like alleys. I was having an alley moment. I literally have to text her. I'm like, I think she's like, you it's fine. She was like, we're gonna get you a bunch of everything's gonna be okay. But it was that was my first, yeah, you know, we had merged several houses into one, and all of a sudden there's like you know, pictures my daughter made when she was in kindergarten, you know, and like a random every city I go to I bring home an ornament or something. And it was just like the tree is it's got a lot of good memories, but there's not a lot of structure to it. Yeah, you know, but I felt so pressured to get it up. We hosted Thanksgiving, yeah. So I was like, we need a tree up, it needs to look a certain way. And then I'm like, not one person, you know, what came in and said a damn word about it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you know, a Charlie Brown tree, then you're a Charlie.
SPEAKER_02I love a good Grinch tree hanging over with the one, you know. But it's so true. We put so many, so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves. It's like ridiculous.
SPEAKER_03I told my mom because I was like, hey, we literally don't have any other time than before Thanksgiving to put up the tree because she came home with me the day after Thanksgiving up here. So I was like, so we're doing it.
SPEAKER_02Like, I don't care what I think a tree should be up all year. It's for New Year's Valentine's Day, you get some shamrocks on it.
SPEAKER_04Just change the colors. Amen.
SPEAKER_03Just change it this season and I think it's fun. I totally I didn't put mine up this year, which is so depressing because I'm such a Christmas person, but I just moved.
SPEAKER_04Well, my mom did. My mom didn't. Oh, wish you was here. No, when went back home in Philly, but I mean, I I'm like not here in December, really. So I just like I I see all these trees in the windows of my building, and then I'm like the only one without the tree.
SPEAKER_02I think it's such a calming, like I love to take my morning diapoke or coffee or whatever and sit by the tree.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I love to pick up my dog and sit by the tree at night and but I'll put like the screen on the TV with like yeah, yeah, the YOLO, yeah. It like does it.
SPEAKER_03I know everybody is. But I just moved and it's all in a storage unit in the apartment, and I still don't have everything like put away. Like I do because I'm crazy, but I have one box of pictures that I need to hang up, and just that one box, it's not a very big place. So I'm like, I don't have room to like do my whole tree, and also it's in the very back of my storage stuff, so I'm gonna have to move everything out. Right. And I'm like, I'm only here for like eight more days. Right. Usually I want to chip a nail in that.
SPEAKER_04What's the point?
SPEAKER_03But like you want to do it, I want to do it, but there's no reason to do it. And like I normally keep it up till February. I'm one of those people I like it to have it. It's the vibe. Maybe I'll get bored and put it up when I get back just to have it, but you know Or you put it up like first week in November and then like you didn't at home.
SPEAKER_02You know, that's what I always did, is we were sitting here all day with all you guys. We should have made a paper chain.
SPEAKER_03Shh, we could have sent it home and strung it up, have some little decoration and then I've got my Christmas bath and body works candle, so that's all I've got. That's what I got right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we I didn't put one up in Texas last year. I knew I was leaving in in March, and literally I was there for like you know, three weeks wrapping stuff up, and and I was like, I feel empty. Yeah, it just felt so bad. So every all my Texas people, I'm like, can I come over to buy your tree? They're like, shut and watch. I know, just watch the tree. It does, it's but it's a very cool time of year.
SPEAKER_03It is, I know, I love it.
SPEAKER_02I know. So when are you back to playing?
SPEAKER_03Um, the end of January. End of January. Where are you gonna be playing? In Florida at Boca Raton, I think. Boca Ratone's an amazing place. Yes, yes. So I've got that, and then um in February, I guess. I've got actually a lot going on with just personal life stuff in February and March. My best friend's getting married and her bachelorette party and the bridal shower, and um, my cousin's getting married the week before her, so I've just got an all out of town. So I've got like a bunch of random. Right. You're gonna be the chicken game, just live in life. So, like for a month, I'm probably just gonna be like doing my personal life and then come back and I love that though.
SPEAKER_04Like Michael was talking earlier, like you have to make time to just be and like I think we as artists, like like you and I and Timmy too, like we put so much pressure on ourselves to like gotta post, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. But it's like at the end of the day, it's almost counterproductive. It's like you want to live life to fill up.
SPEAKER_02But you have to be in the game of life to live it, you know? And I do I call it a dev day.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, I'm so bad at resting though. Like, me too.
SPEAKER_03Because I feel guilty for resting.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I feel like I feel worthless if I'm like not doing something, so I have to like force myself to like relax.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yeah, it is that.
SPEAKER_04Like, why do you think I'll go home and then I'm like, wait, why am I not like doing something? I'm like sitting on the couch watching a Christmas movie with my mom. I'm like, I gotta be posting, I gotta be, and I'm like, I don't like we're not meant to be like that.
SPEAKER_02You're a therapist and life coach, and I work with a lot of people, and I'm like, yeah, you're not meant to grind out life. Yeah, you're not. I'm sorry, but if anybody ever told you that, they were wrong. Yeah, we're not supposed to. We're supposed to stop and enjoy moments. We're humans, we need connection. We're supposed to be enjoying that. Totally. And in a season like this, and celebrate your year. You kicked ass this year, you did beautiful, you had something great, you're moving in. What's 2026 look like for my favorite blonde?
SPEAKER_03Oh, whoa. Um, I don't know. I would just say I'm gonna stay bit stay busy in a healthy way, not stay busy to stay busy, but right um, and also just not get distracted. I'm really gonna try to like, because even though I stay motivated, I still get very distracted on like what's actually important and what I need to get done. And if I'm and the imposter syndrome stuff, I'm done with that crap. Please don't. I gotta be a good one.
SPEAKER_02I want you to dial me up and be like, I need you for 10 minutes. Yeah, because it is ridiculous. It is so ridiculous.
SPEAKER_04You're a star already.
SPEAKER_02You are, and you're an amazing star. Don't let anybody ever dim your case.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. I think we were talking about in my right earlier. It's just like we all, you don't, I think a lot of artists and people feel like you can't say, like, I'm proud of myself this year. I've done because then it sounds like I'm great. Yeah, like I did great. I'm so proud of myself. But it really is like, no, why can I be proud for everyone else who's working very hard? I'm so proud of them, but not for me. Be your own biggest cheerleader. Be your own biggest cheerleader. So I'm gonna work on that a lot this year. Please do. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Exactly. Amen.
SPEAKER_02And no one will ever fully get you like you will get you. And even your closest peeps, you know, the people that are totally on your in your team and in your tribe, they don't get they nobody knows what it's like to be Charlie, you know, and it's just you really have to take that time to just and like I want you to pick, and I we talked about this on an earlier podcast. I tell my clients who I get this at seven, I'm gonna be like, and I don't even have time to brush. I'm like, get out your calendar, we're gonna schedule some joy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, get the joy. I love that.
SPEAKER_02Figure what it is. I don't care if it's taking a walk with your dog and looking at Christmas lights or trying a new restaurant or whatever it is on Saturday, I'm sleeping until 11, whatever, and put it in your phone, and that is it. That is the time that is blocked, and don't give it away for anybody. Because if we're no good to ourselves, you're not good to your fans. You're only the best Charlie when you're arrested, Charlie. Definitely. And when I what I do for work, I'm I'm the only I'm the best version of me is the rested, healthy, functioning Deb. You know? So I want you to do it and then tell me what it is. I'll come join you. I will, yes.
SPEAKER_03I know my joy depends. I mean, I love taking Dolly. I do want to see take Dolly, my dog, to see Christmas lights because she loves Oh, she would love it. I think she loves it every time that we take her.
SPEAKER_04I always remember like her little booties. Oh, yeah. She's just Dolly. She was wearing a cowboy hat yesterday.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, she's like diva. She's a diva. She's hilarious. Um, but yeah, she I like to take her to do things, and I want to change my like you said, like you just always have to be doing something, and then by the night, I'm like, okay, time to watch my show. It's like 10 p.m., which is Real Housewives of New York. And so then I can't. You and I would be the best remates. Oh, I know. Give me all the bra. We'd be like binging on candy and we'd watch and we'd be like, they broke up. Yes, I'd love it. But yeah, so just yeah, I'm just looking forward to the family time because that's yeah, it's just like joyful the whole time. Absolutely. Basically, I love that.
SPEAKER_04You know, the other thing I learned too, like, and my mom says this all the time, but it's like like you don't have to chase what's meant for you. Yeah, it's gonna come. Like you already are it, like you don't have to be anywhere else. Like, just enjoy it. Yeah, yeah. It's if you're meant to be a star and you are, but it's like just you're fine.
SPEAKER_03You just yeah, just keep working, but don't stress on it. Don't die. God's gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, guys, you're gonna be put in the rugged if you're infinitely protected. Yeah, I have a friendship with Holden's mom. Um, one morning, I'm I can't even tell the story because we would just we'd be here all night. But um I had I literally had one morning I had a caller. I'm yeah, can't you? Before I started seeing patients, I'm like, Can I talk to you? She's like, absolutely. She's like, give me five minutes. She's the words of wisdom of this woman. I can tell you.
SPEAKER_04I think they DM all of them. Yeah, she rocks. She DMs everybody. She'll start DMing Timmy now.
SPEAKER_02I know. She's just such a positive. What kind of cheese would you like cheese to have? Yeah, your mom rocks. She totally loves you, Tim. We love you. Yes. Yeah, it's amazing. But take please take the time to honor yourself. You know, and do what's good for you. And when you do what I do for a living, like when I shut I shut the door to my office, I shut the computer down, and like I'm not going back in there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because it can't start dribbling into the rest of my life. Totally. You know, because then I'm then I'm not being the best version of Deb to the people who need the best version of Deb. Yeah. You know? For sure.
SPEAKER_04But I think you are do already doing an awesome job at that, though. Oh, thank you. You like us. You work hard and like like I feel like we we don't give ourselves enough credit. Like as artists, like we're like, we're like, oh like I didn't do this, but you did all the things A, B, C, D, E, F, G, you know, to like pat yourself up.
SPEAKER_03So checking off the bottom. Shaker artists like probably like Carrie and Miranda, those people too feel the same way because it's a constant race like to the top in the industry mind. But it's really not. It's it's not like which boxes did you know? And you're the only Charlie there is. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04No one like it's meant to happen. Like, and you're the best Charlie.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. You're the best.
SPEAKER_02Where can the listeners find your music? Everything, Charlie.
SPEAKER_03Yes, you can find me Charlie Reynolds Music um on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok. I'm like, what are all the things? Um, and then my music is just Charlie Reynolds, and it's C-H-A-R-L-Y. There's no E. Website where they can keep up where you're at. Yeah, CharlieReynolds.com. I'll be doing a lot of dates probably all over the place this year. So you can check out the tour dates on charliereynolds.com slash tour. And Timmy, where where we can we find everything, Timmy?
SPEAKER_00You can find me at Timmy McKeever Music on all social media platforms and Timmy McKeever on all DSPs.
unknownNice.
SPEAKER_02Mr. Barter, where can we find you?
SPEAKER_04Holden Barter Music at all the things and uh Holden Barter on Spotify and Apple and Awesome. The whole all the streaming platforms.
SPEAKER_02I feel very honored to be sitting amongst the three of you. Same thing, I really would say that. I feel really feel very honored, inspired by all of you. I really do. Thank you. I want you to get on fire in 2027. Thank you. I'm gonna go to the show. I want you to like start taking your shows. East Coast. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I want to do more of all of it, but I want to just be be playing a lot this year. So we'll see. We'll see what happens.
SPEAKER_02Well, your music, your your entire being is far. I I fell in love with you that day that I'll thank you. I'm like, I love her, she's fantastic. So you're killing it. I'm super duper proud of you. And I want you to know that I love the outfits like every day. I'm like, Charlie is wearing it. Oh, thank you. But you're killing it, and I'm so proud of you, and I know we're only going up from here. Oh, yes. So if you have a bar on Broadway, what are we gonna name it?
SPEAKER_03Oh, I've been asked this question before. I shoot. Um I don't know. It'll probably be called something with char in it because it's a big one.
SPEAKER_02If I get a bar on Broadway, it's gonna be called Deb's World.
SPEAKER_03I love that.
SPEAKER_02Deb's World. Make it an upscale steakhouse. Totally. Deb's World. Charred with the Charlie collabs. There we go. I love that. That would be so we would have stupid fun. We would have ridiculous. Thank you for coming in, my sunshir. I couldn't be more happy to see you than I am.
SPEAKER_03I know, you too. It's good to see you both too. It's so fun. Yeah. Happy holidays, and I know we're gonna rock it out in 2020. You're gonna come back. Oh, you always know I'm here. I know. I love to come and see you.
SPEAKER_02It's so funny when people are like, Did you go through their publicists? I'm like, they're in the phone. It's like no, just come through. Yeah, just text me. So funny. That's how you know you make the real connections. From the bottom of my heart, I'm so happy here. Thanks for being part of Happy How.
SPEAKER_03Yes, thank you for having me. Of course.
