We don't care if you're here because you want to be here because you lost a bet with one of your buddies. We just wanted to start it start over with no sound effects. Fuck it. You are listening to the OK show on the internet the hometown podcast. And we don't own the right to do this music. And we don't really care if you like that bag or not either. No. We'll delete it. We don't care. Send us to CD and we'll just delete it. You win. Right? You win. Whatever.
SPEAKER_01Whatever. This is just the kind of weakest thing. I mean, I love I love these people. They tend to send it one of those things. I'd love to do it. Even if they are from Southgate, I'd love to hang out with them. Uh Send Dog. Pretty cool, dude. We've used this one before. Yeah, it's funny because when you said what song should we play? I'm like, well, we've already played that song. Yeah, I didn't care. And then all of a sudden you hit go. Yeah. I don't care. What up again?
SPEAKER_02What up, uh, bitches? Motherfucker. So we were 15 minutes in and had a right air. Right air, not left. Third, third SD card. Guess we've got to do a firmware update and see if that works.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. I don't know. Does that thing actually have uh like you can hook it up to the computer and fucking do all kinds of shit? Okay. Maybe it does. Maybe we need to update it. It's probably still got the 2020 fucking three software. Whatever. Anyway. Um that's what always drove me nuts about fucking stuff like uh electronics. Yeah. Like all of a sudden, hey, we you've got an update. Well, what was the wrong with the one before? And now why is my phone running slower? Like I don't understand. Hey, we fixed the bugs. What bugs?
SPEAKER_02What bugs? I didn't know I had any bugs.
SPEAKER_01I did my phone was working just fine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Hey, we need you to fix this. Uh you need to do this update, and if you keep ignoring it, it just slows your shit down.
SPEAKER_01Which makes no fucking sense. They do it on purpose. I know they do. And then all of a sudden your battery doesn't last longer. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's a whole thing.
SPEAKER_02Um well, I guess we'll start over because it was actually important shit.
SPEAKER_01Was it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was.
SPEAKER_02So uh, real quick for everybody that listens, if you know our staff here at the shop at Hometown Hot Rodder Garage, um, not our not our podcast group, but our our shop staff. Um, if you guys know Sean Cox, um, I haven't posted anything about it this week because it wasn't my place. Um but his wife Shannon finally posted it. Um so figured it was time for us to say something publicly. Uh Sean was involved in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon. And uh he's fine. He's alive. Well, I say fine. Yeah. He's alive. He's alive. He's he's gonna make it. He's gonna be fine. Um he will walk and do have to do all that stuff again. He's got a long road of physical therapy ahead, probably. Um pain. Couple of uh spinal fractures, shattered arm, shattered wrist, broken thumb, apparently. Um, you know, motorcycle wreck shit. Like um, but he's gonna make it, he's gonna be fine, he's been through a couple of surgery or one surgery already, maybe about to do another one. Damn it. Um, but they said he might could possibly get released as early as Friday.
SPEAKER_01So he should be back to work Monday. Yeah, I doubt it. Dude. Just to lighten it up a little bit, and I don't wish any harm on people and motorcycle racks. I've known plenty of people in them and all that, but can they put him in that one cast where his where his arm is like straight out like this with the little pole? Super shun? Yeah. Like all of a sudden, you're like, we're like, how tall are you? And he's like, shut up. Yeah. All right, all of a sudden, are you a white supremacist?
SPEAKER_02They take that that cast off, and his arm was numb for six weeks. Oh, you've had casts like that. Yeah, it's horrible. But yeah, uh, you know, thank God he's okay. Yes, you know, uh, could have been a lot worse, but it was pretty bad.
SPEAKER_01It was bad. Pay attention to what the fuck you're doing when you're driving. Yeah, not and you resort back to, and I don't think you said it, someone pulled out in front of him. I did, I didn't say that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um Sean was paying attention, it was last minute. I'm not an accident investigator or anything, but I did go up on the scene uh because Les had called and so I ran up there. Um, but uh I'm no accident investigator, but I can pretty well tell what happened. Yeah. I had seen the damage on the car and the direction of travel uh tells me pretty plainly what happened. Right. So um and it was not Sean's fault, in my opinion. I'm not a cop, I'm not an investigator, but I'm also not stupid.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02So y'all be careful and pay attention to motorcycles, man, especially with all this construction we got going on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, it's it's tough to see them. It's tough to see around all these jersey walls. It's you know, there's nowhere for them to go if you do pull out.
SPEAKER_01No. And TechSot don't give a fuck. They just shut everything fucking down. Could care less. Oh, it fucking kills me. Dude, you just to get to my house, you know how many fucking uh detours? Yeah. And fucking gravel roads and fucking mud pits, or my favorite one is when you're waiting for the the little commuter car to take you. The follow-me car. The follow-me car, and you're sitting there waiting, and you're like, okay, this isn't too bad. You're looking at the ground and all that, and you're like, yeah, it's a little dirty and muddy, or not muddy, but like dirty and all that. All of a sudden you hear boo, and you're like, what the fuck is that? You look in your side mirror, you're like, uh, the must be the dump truck, and then all of a sudden it gets past you, and you realize it's the goddamn water truck, yeah. And he's watering the whole thing, and then all of a sudden you go through it and fucking mud. Yep. Dude, I haven't washed my car in I don't know how long. Yeah. Just because I can't avoid the fucking the shit. Yep. Yep.
SPEAKER_02But so yeah, y'all say y'all say a prayer for Sean. Please. Um, and for Shannon for his whole family, his kids. Yeah. Uh he's got a long road ahead of him. He does. Um I had to bet money he will ride a motorcycle again one day.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, you know, he is the president of the Southern Smoke Riding Club um motorcycle group. So I'm sure he, you know, his his club brothers are on top of it. So but anyway, yeah. Um Shannon does have a uh Venmo up. Oh, you did give him a hand. Yeah. Okay. Um we'll uh we'll look at put setting something up for him as well. Um so talk about the worst timing ever. On the right error? Well that too. Oh. We had a meeting today. Okay. Um we got everybody set up on uh Affleck. Oh, I saw that. Yeah, it would have been cool if we could have done it that last month, so it would have helped Sean.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it'll help him with anything after September 1st, like therapy time or whatever, you know. It'll help him out with all that. Uh except for pre-existing doesn't usually care if nope, Affleck doesn't care about pre-existing. Really? It just has to be something that happens after it takes effect. Gotcha. As far as like uh like I said, like physical therapy and all that. If he has to miss work for all that. Gotcha. Anything after September 1st they'll help out. Um we're doing it something we decided to do for the guys here in the shop. Uh hospitalization, accident, injury, um it's not medical insurance, but it's uh it's like a teledoc thing. Right. For all the stuff that most of us guys would go to the doctor for. Right. 95% of what we would go to the doctor for, we can call teledoc for like a $17 copay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then they don't tell you you have high blood pressure and that you need to take this medicine. You're like, well, outside this door, I don't have high blood pressure. Only when I come in this motherfucker. Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have no idea what you're talking about. Just burn the fuck out of my hand. Um whatever. But uh grandpa used to say, if you don't burn the fuck out of your hand, he goes, You shouldn't be a fucking smoker. Right. Because he used to cup. Like he he taught me to like completely enclose my hand to light my cigarette. Yeah. And people would be like, Your flames on your hand. I'm like, Yeah, grandpa said if you don't burn yourself, fucking you shouldn't be smoking.
SPEAKER_02Um like 90% off prescriptions. Oh wow. Yeah, it's a good deal, it's a good deal. That is cool. So it's something we're doing for the guys, and they were able to add some things above what we're covering for 'em. Gotcha. Life insurance, cancer insurance, like Wow. There's a lot of stuff they were able to add. Gender change. No, I don't think that's on there. No, there wasn't any uh training sheets, training folders.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_02Um, you know, no boob jobs, nothing like that. Damn. Sucks. Um, but uh yeah, you're like, damn, wish we'd have done this a month earlier. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? But we didn't uh but live and learn. It's something good for uh hiring in the future. You know, we do have we've got a benefit now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And most people, man, you have full blown medical insurance and shit. Most guys don't use all that shit. No. You know? But anyhow. I sure could use real insurance. Um yeah, uh I didn't I didn't post anything about that on social media. And as you were putting it earlier before we had the right error, uh, I haven't been posting much at all on social media. No, because you don't give a fuck. I just it's not even really and I don't mean that in a shitty way either. I just I have spent the last couple years and definitely the last year really, really, really pushing myself to do things that I didn't normally I didn't used to do. Right. You know what I'm saying? Um before the shop, everybody can attest, like I wasn't at car shows every weekend. You know what I'm saying? Right. Uh you could bet your ass I'd be out driving. Yeah. Uh meeting up with my buddies, um cruising wherever I wanted to go, you know, or if I was going to car show, it was somewhere that I could drive for a while. Um and then with the shop, we needed to be at shows all the time. We kind of don't know. Um that's not to s not to say that we're, you know, the greatest thing since fucking whatever, but we're pretty busy. Yeah. Um, but also social media kind of falls in that too. I pushed myself really hard to make a social media presence, and man, honestly, I think I just want to find somebody that can do that for me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um I it's just not me, man.
SPEAKER_01Oh, this is about where right air. Yeah. Yeah. So like I've uh maybe AI can do, maybe it can do something like that. I mean, because I've been nerding out hard. Like, I've got all kinds of sheets to make my job fucking easier. I don't have to do anything anymore. I've got so many programs going through AI on top of my phone and all that, that whatever I do as far as work ends up hitting a spreadsheet and going to an email and doing all the shit for me, and I'd just have to submit a sheet now. But I've been nerding out all week, fucking doing that. Like literally like three or four hours of sleep. Yeah. Oh, it's yeah, I'm damn sure not doing that for nobody. No, I'll get on there and see if we can add our Facebook and see what it can do.
SPEAKER_02I have gotten to where I don't really care what's going on in the world. Oh, I don't care about that. I'm gonna be in bed by 10 or 10.30. Oh, yeah. It's happening. By by 9 30, I'm taking a melatonin gummy, and with by 10 or 10 30, I'm going to bed.
SPEAKER_01No, you're not.
SPEAKER_02Well, no, I got more.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you got more? Like, yeah, last night. Oh. Oh. Fucking Emma. Oh, so so you're mad that she took the last two. Well, because I But then you said screw this and door dash them to you. I I no, I went and got them. Was it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So well, I didn't want to wait that long. I didn't I didn't want to screw my schedule up that bad. So it would have taken an hour to get them that way. Uh huh. But instead, I could get to the store in ten minutes and eat one in the parking lot and be sleepy shortly after getting home. Like a handful. So I only went to bed 20 minutes later than I normally would have. Damn. But it was 9 30 and I was ready. Like I was excited I'm gonna get sleepy. Yeah. Like I'm ready, I'm gonna get tired. Grab that bottle. Open it bottle. And she left the bottle on the fucking counter. That's what I was about to ask.
SPEAKER_01Same shit. You know what my grandpa used to do? Huh? Like literally, he would get to the end of the bottle. He would flip that bitch upside down. When grandma opened up the damn deal, it was, oh, he needs some of that. And it would just flip it over. Dude, I tried to do that one day.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Someone said, What the fuck is this? And I'm like, Yeah, grandma used to just replace it. It was like magic. Yeah. Like, like he flipped it over, and like by the end of the day, there was a new one there with the seal off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like, what the fuck's the disconnect?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I flipped it upside down. It didn't magically have a new one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But yeah. I tried to broke two make her stand on her head. Nobody replaced her. Nobody gave me a new one.
SPEAKER_04Oh shit.
SPEAKER_01Like, I guess I'll knock the dust off this one. Yeah.
unknownWhatever. Whatever.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, um, I don't know. Nothing, nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with me. I'm fine. I promise I am.
SPEAKER_01No, if I noticed that you weren't on social media whatsoever, I know there's plenty of people that have. I'm just tired of social media. I get it. I get it.
SPEAKER_02Um it's it's the it's I don't know, man. I feel like it it gets people in more trouble than it helps. Right. I feel like it it makes people depict a version of you. They they decide that they know a version of you that isn't you. Yeah. Um, because you gotta be all check out what we're doing, bruh.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? Like see, and that's where my disconnect always was. Like if you ever like if you watched the stupid videos that we were doing, mine had to be that fucking retarded one for me to be able to do it. When I would do the hey, welcome to Hometown Hot Roder, come on in. I feel like okay, I'm not doing fucking MTV cribs, go fuck yourself. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, it just that that that just never it's just not me. I couldn't do it.
SPEAKER_02It's just not me. I I'm I tried really I've tried really hard. No, I get it. Um and it's not like I'm not I'm gonna delete social media and fuck all this and blah blah blah.
SPEAKER_01We just need to flip it over, and when we think of something stupid, just go fucking do it. Like we need to get like a fucking Vespa scooter and we need to write it together.
SPEAKER_02And there's a real good chance if you text me, I'm gonna I'm calling you. Yeah, I'm done with this whole technology thing. Yeah, I get it. I'm cool with using the cell phone to call you, but it's a cell phone. It's not a cell telegraph. I I just you spend so much time staring at that fucking thing and typing on it for all these things, whether it's social media or it's texting or it's emailing. And somebody's like, Did you get my email? I'm like, no. And they're like, I sent you an email Friday, and I went, we're closed on the weekend. They're like, you can't check your fucking email on the weekend. I'm like, no, I don't have it on my phone. No, I don't have I don't have HHR unplugged on my phone. Um I see it Monday when I come to work. I'm done with I I don't I've it's time to turn that shit off. It's it we have to. Yeah. Like we have become this society of people that hate each other, and it's because of those.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. 100%. Nobody, nobody can nobody can uh uh like have their own thought process. No. Everybody's like sheep. We were just talking about that people being sheep before we write air, you know, like like uh Google reviews and all that. You don't give a fuck about Google reviews. I could care less about a Google review, but at the same time, those those people that there's so many fucking sheep out there that Google reviews mean something to fucking a little more than three-quarters of the world or more, and it might keep us from getting some business if because we only have a 4.4 star.
SPEAKER_02But I don't care.
SPEAKER_01I it's but that that's okay. But that doesn't mat I don't think that matters as far as you because the people that are Googling fucking shops are looking for shops, they're not looking for a fucking hot rod shop. Those hot rod shop guys don't look at reviews.
SPEAKER_02Because I can tell you that every hot rod build has problems. Oh, yeah. Every hot rod customer is going to not be happy with us at some point.
SPEAKER_01Or there might be a situation where you reach out and it's like, hey, you know, that's not what we do here, and then you make a shitty review because we figure we didn't see you message again. Yeah. You know, it's like sorry, bro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, fuck you, homie. Yeah. Um, but I I don't know, man. I just I'm I'm I love doing the podcast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I love people listening to the podcast, and I love I I love every bit of that. And I'll I use social media to announce that one's out. I do that. Yeah. I don't even know that we need to do that. In fact, I don't know that I'm gonna do that on this one, and I want to see what the numbers do.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_01No, I get it. Just to see.
SPEAKER_02We're downloading really well right now. K Wiz is it? 160 something every five or six days. K Wiz is doing well. Nice. Um I just want to see what happens. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Why not do an experiment? I mean, everybody getting a notification on their phone that everybody that's already following.
SPEAKER_02Right. But I want to see how it does in the pot of shows in a category. Okay. Somebody's like, hey, I want to listen to a comedy podcast and see how it does. Oh, we're in comedy, huh? Yeah, comedy and improv.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02We're not even an automotive podcast. Whatever. It's just in the name. Yeah. It says Hometown Hot Rodder, not Hometown Hot Rods. Duh. Right? Yeah. Right. I mean they're going vroom vroom. Um went to Canton this past weekend. How was that? Uh the um hot as fuck. Boy. Boy. Um the build-off. Um, and the swap meet was going, and uh East Texas heroes thing was going on. Okay. Military whatnot. Um it was good. How'd the chips go? Uh people's choice tokens? Yeah. Well, we didn't take anything. Oh, I thought you took the bird. Didn't take the bird or Dewey. Oh. Or the T bucket.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_02I drove Wynn Nordstrom's 53 Ford truck.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Clayton drove his truck because he just got it deleted the night before anyway. Oh yeah. He wanted to drive his truck. Um should have drove his tea bucket. Well, it's funny you mentioned that. The tea bucket only went down one spot in standings. Okay. Dewey fell six, I think. Oh. No, four. Four. Dewey went from fifth to ninth. Um I'm actually driving Dewey home tonight for the first time. Yeah. In a long time. I haven't driven that truck home in three weeks. Does it start?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No. Oh, okay. No. I got we we got everything. Just gotta find some time. Right. Um get away from the phones for a little while and might be able to be a little more productive. Um it's just beyond me, man. Like you shouldn't go home every day and have to plug your phone in on the way home because it's dead. Oh. You know what I'm saying? No, I get it. We're just on these fucking things too much.
SPEAKER_01You know, the same people that sit there and they say, one day, robots are gonna take over the world.
SPEAKER_02They already have.
SPEAKER_01Or are the same people that are staring at the robots that have taken over. Yeah. I mean, everything. Yeah. They already have. They have. We just haven't made them smart enough to take us over. We've become and you guys are on your way. We've become robotic.
SPEAKER_02We've become robotic. Um there's certain things that even I like to still do on my phone routinely. Snake. Well, like, that'd be cool. But no, like, uh I read the Bible every morning on my phone. Oh, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? Um I check real quick just to make sure nobody stole everything I owned overnight.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Um, and I used to sit on Facebook for a while before I got in the shower. I don't do that shit no more. No. I don't. I don't. I read started reading an extra verse or two.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02And go to bed. Or I mean go to get a shower.
SPEAKER_01No, I just sit there in Doom Scroll. Um I just I'm lying like a motherfucker. I've been on this fucking kick of making t-shirts and all that shit. Yeah. Um I turned out one t-shirt, the Rock Lat Demon Child shirt.
SPEAKER_02Nice. Uh says cook uh on the front. Hell yeah. Uh I don't think we've sold any whatever whatever. It is what it is. A little preppy white kid in a truck with a bunch of rock lots on it. Look like Clayton's truck.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and if anybody keeps hearing me talk about t shirts and all that, just message me and I'll send it to you and we'll figure out how to do that because it's fucking complicated, so it's easier if I just order it and figure out I can put it in your address.
SPEAKER_02You know, shirts with boobs on them called Jimmy.
SPEAKER_01Boobs? Yeah. Yeah. Lots of boobs. Lots of boobs. Yeah, it's in the you know, I had This whole epiphany when I was making these fucking shirts. All of a sudden I'm looking at the ones I was making with all the blue-collar jobs and all that, and I'm like, what blue-collar fucking male is gonna wear another fucking dude sitting there doing fucking job? You know what I mean? Like, maybe maybe you're older men that are just so great at their jobs and all that. I'm like, hmm, let me make women do the same thing. I like the idea. Like, I have one, she's the blue-collar babe, she's a little thicker blonde and all that, but everything that I create has to do with uh welding or roofing or ditch digging or fucking all of it. You should make an apartment maintenance chip. I have an apartment management, but I'm gonna do them I'd be that's a good one, the maintenance one. I've got so many different fucking versions and all that stuff, and then of course I have a rag that says it's the cum rag and then a towel that says because yes, she makes a mess. Uh you know, I just got all the Crocs with titties on them. I love it. Yeah. I love it. So just message me and I'll let you know.
SPEAKER_02You know, I'd rather just communicate through the podcast and the occasional post here and there.
SPEAKER_01I like how you say I I want to communicate through the podcast. Ha ha jokes on you, motherfuckers, because you ain't here to communicate. I'm just kidding. Yeah. Well, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't know, man. Just it is what it is. You open it up, and every page has got 30 something notifications, and you're like, most of it's people invited you to like something or Yes.
SPEAKER_01You know what I mean? I hate when I'm scrolling because I don't have it separated. So I'm scrolling, I ask, I'm like, oh, what did they say to me? I click it and it's trying to jump over into yours. I'm like, fuck. Or jump over to hometown, and I'm like, Motherfuck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I don't know. I just need to find somebody to do the social media for me because I know it's a necessary thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I just don't want to be the one doing it. Uh we've had this talk before.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_02But I've tried really hard, dude. I really have. I know you have. Um and I become obsessed with the numbers because I'm very, very, very, very success driven. Not and I don't mean that by like how much money's in the bank. I mean that I did something good or did it right. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Hell yeah. Uh sorry, I just got a text.
SPEAKER_04You just hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01Did I? Yeah. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Anyway. Uh Austin Austin just texted me. He got my he was the first one to buy a shirt and he got it, he got it in. Oh, nice. Yeah. Yeah. I don't even know what they look like. Um I mean, I know what they look like because I designed them. I don't know if the quality was good, but I'm sure it's fun. Bro.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, that's dope.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And it's Austin sitting there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's rad. Yeah, that's rad.
SPEAKER_01Um I forgot what I was even talking about. Yeah, social media and all that bullshit. Yeah, whatever. Yeah, it don't matter. It really doesn't. I don't think it does. Like, don't get me wrong, the shit I'm doing right now, all of a sudden it's like, hey, you want a TikTok shop? And I'm like, yeah, then if I really don't like the way it works, but it's what it is. But all of a sudden it's like, you need to make 10 videos about your product.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, who the fuck's got time for that? Like, I win. Do I have a deadline? Yeah, I just I don't know, man. I feel like it's counterproductive. I feel like we we unless it is your job, it is keeping you from doing your job.
SPEAKER_01I just think the more we post, the more somehow the fucking Bitcoin coins fucking get bigger and bigger and bigger with their company. You know what I mean? Like the more we think that we're making money, I think they're making bigger money off of us thinking that somehow, somehow, even though it's a free platform. Hmm.
SPEAKER_02Like, I got a message from ATT today. Hang on. Um, I have to keep it real far away from my uh phone, apparently. Does it say pod track fucking hates us? Let's see here. Uh that ain't the one. Hold on. Here it is. Hi, it's ATT. You've reached an ATT next up anytime milestone on your wireless line. You've paid off at least one third of your phone and have more options when you're upgrade or when you upgrade early. Log into your account or visit an ATT store to learn more. Can I downgrade? It'd be really cool if I could go on here and I could be like, hey, look, I don't Can I put my old razor on here? I don't have a smartphone no more. I'm not texting y'all. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, can you imagine?
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna have to call. I'm not doing click, click, click, zero, click, click, click, click, zero, click, click, zero, click one, zero, click, click. Yeah, I'm not doing that shit on.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Um.
SPEAKER_01So, you know, it it's just, I don't, I just I And how do you do okay? So when you have to call ATT, yeah. And you're calling in, not like you're trying to fix something. Do you go through the prompts? To figure out where you need to go? I try not to. Like you know what my automatic thing is, right? What? Zero. Oh, yeah. Zero, zero, zero, zero. And then all of a sudden it'll be I'll transfer you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's all I do. I I don't even I don't like talking to it. I don't like punching shit in. I confuse the fuck out of it. So it sends me to a real person. Yeah. And usually in the Philippines. A real short person. Yeah. Hello? Mike. Uh yeah, who's this? Uh, this is uh Lucy.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, man. I just I understand how important the social media thing is and how important all this is, and yada dae de d do. But I feel like the people that are really, really, really successful and are really big on social media, A, they have somebody else doing it for them. Or yeah, or they do it, or that's all they do.
SPEAKER_01But that that that leads me back to I maybe it was before it right aired, but that leads me back to they they they create this where it's no longer a side hustle. Yeah. Like when the when social media was around and you started making money, it was like, oh man, like I was able to make like $200 this month. Yeah. Or I was able to make fucking, you know, a couple grand this month and all that stuff. Now it's like you have to quit your fucking job. Yeah, otherwise you made twelve like seven dollars and twelve cents.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this year. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like uh whatever. So yeah, they either have somebody doing it for 'em so that they can be out doing the actual public shit. Right. You know what I'm saying? Uh, or it's all they do. That's all they do. You know, and whatever. That's fine. I there I don't have anything against it. Um, I know it's important. I just don't want to take up I don't want to take up my time doing social media and uh and running a shop and trying to keep merchandise made and do the podcast and do the car shows. I just don't wanna. I want somebody to be able to make a post and go, hey, Brian and Jimmy are gonna be at blah blah blah this weekend. Brian. Go see Brian at MC Yada Diddy car show. Yes. Um because Brian is doing other shit as this is being typed. You know what I mean? Right. So I don't know. You got you got a conf confusled look on your face.
SPEAKER_01Well, like, all of a sudden I saw this thing and it said me it's it's in chat, chat GPT. Okay, it says medical medical for social media at the bottom it says review analytics plan posts. But that's just like doing what you said Chuck does. Yeah, he schedules schedule posts. Yeah, you schedule him. Yeah. But it sometimes you gotta sit there and make those posts. Yeah. There's a lot of social shit on here, but nothing for Facebook. Just do the shit for me. Unfortunately, I have I have this motherfucker being my bitch.
SPEAKER_02And I don't want to try to remember my Facebook, my passwords and all that shit. I just want to have I want to hire somebody and go, hey, pretend we don't have a single fucking page. Yeah. Start over.
SPEAKER_05Hmm.
SPEAKER_02Hmm. Because you know, people be like, well, what's your password to get into the blah blah blah? I'm like, I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we couldn't do that. Well, well, I'm just saying, like, all of a sudden this person would be like, hey, so like I don't have any content. Okay, so make some content. Yeah, cool. All of a sudden they're like, Jimmy, Brian, you guys gotta get a picture like next to each other or something. Be like, ugh, when? Why? Like in the whole entire fucking podcast thing, there's always somebody between us, or we're never in the same picture together. Yeah, so fucking weird. It is weird. It is we should do some pictures together. Like, like literally, the only two pictures that I can ever find are the ones from back in the day where we're acting stupid. But yeah, nothing with just the two of us. Like we may have to selfie tonight. Well, I fucking just use AI and like like uh there was one with uh Kelly Bromajan when when they came in town. Yeah, and I just said, hey, just subtract the guy in the middle. And it kind of threw us together and then gave you like this really like hey, where'd Kelly go? Like bald Fred Durst look. Yeah, yeah, like like no, no, like you didn't even have fa hardly any facial hair. It was weird. Thank God it's finally starting to go back out about that. It is, I saw that, dude. Yeah, saw that. I'm proud of you.
unknownFuck.
SPEAKER_01Never again. It's okay. I almost walked across the way because I'm trying to get another position at work. I almost walked across the way and said, Will you make me look presentable? Yeah. I think I'm gonna do it. Cool. Well, not today, obviously. Not no more. Not now.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, whatever. Uh Spencer starts school tomorrow. Nice. Sixth grade. Yeah. Wow. And that big ass new middle school.
SPEAKER_01When's his birthday?
SPEAKER_02June.
SPEAKER_01June.
SPEAKER_02July.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. So he was before the bo uh before the cutoff. Yeah, seven seven. See, and then like Lizzie, she's going to fifth grade because she's December. But I guess. I don't know. Bro. I I knew that is his birthday obviously. Bro. Danielle's going uh Danielle's a senior. Yeah. That's fucking weird. Welcome. No, I mean it's only five percent. Yeah. Yeah. Like I can't even buy a cart and a cigarette. Emma starts tomorrow. Junior junior year. Wow. Damn.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. Um Clayton starts college on the 24th. Fuck.
SPEAKER_01What's wrong with the world? Uh my granddaughter started kindergarten yesterday. I was about to ask one of the grandbabies yet. Uh both the grandbabies are starting. Uh one's starting first grade? Yeah. No. Yeah, it have to be. He's seven or just six. But anyway, he's starting, and then the youngest, he's uh he's going into preschool. He just turned five. Nice. And all that, and of course the baby can't do nothing. The baby's a baby. She's only seven months old. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um it's weird. I don't know. I think I'm just getting old. Uh it's getting to that. I don't I don't, but I don't feel like I'm aging out of doing this. No, this is different. I feel like this is different.
SPEAKER_01The whole radio thing I don't think has a and I say radio because that's kind of like with what it is. But but the whole radio thing I don't think has an age limit.
SPEAKER_02So someone did ask me a question. Someone did ask me a question the other day about the podcast, and I was like, I didn't think about it. Do you feel like in some way our um uh the premise of the show has gotten older? What do you mean? So before, like we used to be absolutely fucking off the wall, grungy, dirty, ab offensive. We like we tried, like we were we didn't give a shit. I already know the answer to that one though.
SPEAKER_01I feel like we've changed. I feel like it's matured. Well, I don't I wouldn't necessarily say it's a full maturity thing. Honestly. What do you think it is? Well, we fucking you named a business after the the podcast.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I don't think that changed anything. You don't think so?
SPEAKER_01No, because I don't associate the two. No, I know that, but it's the same name, you know. I don't know. I think maybe subconsciously we kind of idled back. I mean, look at social platforms, we idled back. I think I just think we're getting older. I mean, we are getting old.
SPEAKER_02And I think kids, grandkids. Yeah. You know what I mean? Somebody was like, Do you think you guys will ever like see like a um like a program a psychiatrist? Yeah. Call it like a radio station, like a programming change. And I'm like, I can't say no anymore. It used to, I'd say hell no, fuck everybody.
SPEAKER_01But I mean, I would say that I think that I think that where we're at these days, and even Kelly said it too. Like, she don't listen, but she's like, I think if you guys had to, you guys could actually do radio these days. And I'm like, I kind of think we could too.
SPEAKER_02I just um like I'm almost to a point of like we we aren't as dirty as we used to be. No, we really aren't. And I don't know if maybe it's because we know that now our kids are old enough to listen.
SPEAKER_01Bro, come on. Nobody has any like late at night. You know one station nobody listens to? The possum. Because it's dead air. Yeah. Let's get it. Yeah. All night.
SPEAKER_02But this is sore shit. It could it could be because we know that now our kids are old enough and our kids' friends are listening. That could be part of it, because I know my kids' friends listen.
SPEAKER_01Um, so I I don't know. I don't know. I mean, Danielle Danielle came up to me and literally said, What do you know about these people? This car show that's coming in, talking about the one at the OC. Yeah. Uh Dragon Just. And they're like, She's like, What do you mean? Like, you have a tie to these to this, like that's why you've got the flyer or whatever. And she's like, Yeah, like I know the podcast. And they're like, what do you mean? And this this guy's like, What do you mean? You know the podcast. And she's like, What do you mean? She's like, he's like, Well, I mean, I listened to it, and she's like, My dad's on it. Your dad? Yeah. Who's your dad? Jimmy. No. So I guess there's a bunch of kids coming to the show, too. So kind of that's kind of my point.
SPEAKER_02Like, that person was someone that I wouldn't have even thought would listen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I mean, I in all honesty, I mean, the only thing I do bad anymore right now, they all do in high school anyway.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, the one thing I do bad is never is no longer cool smoking cigarettes.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, bro, no, it does not smell like fucking apple cider fucking gelato. Yeah. Did you feel the burn of that fucking vape that I just said? Apple cider? Yeah. Gelato.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and all of a sudden it's got a creamy egg pale.
SPEAKER_01And a burn on the inside, like a burnt coil.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh uh. Um, like I could literally feel my lungs rusting. Yeah. Um, so I don't know. I maybe we are going through a little bit of a programming change. It's getting there. And I'm okay with it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't, I mean, have we ever gave a fuck what people thought? No. So if we do change a little bit and people are like, yeah, I'm not listening to them now, they don't say the fuck word as much. They don't say fuck no more. Somebody was like, you don't ever break out the characters anymore. And I'm like, oh fuck, that's true. Yeah, you really don't. I don't know why for that one. I didn't mean to start fucking laying them out. Motherfuckers don't ever show up on time. Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03It's too goddamn hot for me to work.
SPEAKER_01I mean, we could always do the I show up early and like I do, and all that. We just lock that door, lock that door, lock that door, and we just record and put it on the fucking deal. So those guys have to listen to us. Yeah. And we'll talk shit to them. Yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. It's uh to me, it's got nothing to do. There is something, and I talked to Brooke. Well, here it is. Brooke had told me to get fucked. I was like, You asked for two nights a week. I was like, I can tell you what I think the problem is. It's not a problem. There's nothing wrong with us. I said, but I can tell you what I think's changed us. She was like, what? And I went, We don't record at the house anymore. We were different when we recorded at the racetrack. Yeah. I I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I don't know. Maybe we're maybe we're a one studio wonder. I don't know. Maybe we have too many fucking people come on. No. Uh I don't know. We've kind of I think we just our values have changed. Or we're just old. Maybe it's I don't know. Maybe we're in a slump.
SPEAKER_02I don't feel like it's bad. No, I don't think so either. Because I feel like our numbers are better than they've ever been.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. I mean, we don't have to be all fucking inappropriate and fucking racist all the time.
SPEAKER_02We don't have to try. Yeah. Yeah. We don't have to always talk about the yard crew.
SPEAKER_01I don't have to always be a fucking, what was it, a bootlegging Nazi.
SPEAKER_02Nazi. Fuck. Yeah. Sometimes I like to go down to the bottom of the boat.
SPEAKER_03There they are.
SPEAKER_00To the back of the bus.
SPEAKER_03Oh fuck. There they are.
SPEAKER_00They're back. What up, Rosa? What up, motherfuckers?
SPEAKER_02It's like everything's changed. It is. I don't know. I I I don't know. You know, like I I guess for one, I gotta find somebody to run social media. Yeah. Uh, and I'm gonna have a hundred fucking messages about it. I I'll do it. I'll do it. I'll do it. I'll do it. I'll do it. Well, maybe.
SPEAKER_01Maybe how old are you? Yeah. I don't have a lot of money. Yeah. No. It's like, how old are you? And they're like, oh, I'm 52. No, go fuck yourself.
SPEAKER_02I know what uh I know what we could do. What's that? Stand by.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna make a phone call, Jimmy. I I like how you say standby. You didn't even hit mute. I was waiting for you to hit me. No, no, no. That's funny.
SPEAKER_02Call Emma Thompson.
SPEAKER_03Calling Emma Thompson.
SPEAKER_01Hey, what are you doing? Oh yeah? What are you driving?
SPEAKER_02Hey, welcome to my daughter Emma on the Hometown Hot Rodder Podcast. Hi, Emma. Hey, you're on the podcast.
SPEAKER_05Oh, hi.
SPEAKER_02Hi. Don't go home and take all my melatonin for one.
SPEAKER_05Dude, I did it.
SPEAKER_02You did. You took the last two. That's all of them.
SPEAKER_05I couldn't sleep.
SPEAKER_02I know. What I only take one and I weigh like two and a half times what you weigh. So in his big toe. Yeah, so anyway, that's not why I'm calling you. You know, we've what's what's the one thing we've been talking about a lot lately that you're probably really sick of, other than the thermostat on the house? What have we been talking about a lot that you're probably really tired of talking about? Yeah, you do. What's the answer every time you ask for money?
SPEAKER_05Get a job.
SPEAKER_02Get a job. Well, we've also been sitting here talking about this on the podcast. Not about you getting a job. This is brand new. We have I don't think I mentioned that yet this episode. Um but we've been talking lately about or today how about how tired I am of doing social media. Okay. I'm sick of having to post. I'm tired of trying to keep up with it, all that stuff, right? And I said that I need to just hire somebody to run our social media for us. Everything. Do all the posts, take all the pictures. Right?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02And I needed to be somebody young enough to do good stuff on social media, but also young enough to not be overly expensive. Okay. So you're doing it for free. So if if a couple of your job applications don't turn up, what would you think about doing our social media for us?
SPEAKER_05Sure.
SPEAKER_02For real?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Can you even social media? She can social media. Sweet. Um, but that would also stupid ATT phone, stupid static with a fucking Zoom contract. Um, anyway. Um that would also mean that every now and then you might have to go to a show with us or something to get content. Or I guess we could just text you pictures and you could go from there.
unknownUh-huh.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you have to take pictures of me and your dad, but they don't have to be dirty.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, not anymore. You could take normal pictures of us. Yeah, I'll keep my pants on. Well, as on as they used to be. What do you think? I think that's a great idea, Jimmy. Oh, yeah. Emma, what do you think?
SPEAKER_05Sure.
SPEAKER_02Sure.
SPEAKER_05Sure. Sure.
SPEAKER_02But that would mean like you have to actually come to work.
SPEAKER_05Gosh, this car's on my butt.
SPEAKER_02Well, don't go fast as a trick.
SPEAKER_05Why brake check?
SPEAKER_01Don't brake check them either, Emma. No, no, because that could that can come around bite you now. I've already had it happen.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, don't do that. Um, just slow down without hitting your brakes. That makes them even matter. Or hit the windshield washers.
SPEAKER_05I already did uh I'm slow on wiper washer.
SPEAKER_01Okay. She said, I already did that. So yeah, I don't have a you know wiper in the back anymore. Yeah. And I'm gonna take the little hose and I'm gonna take and aim it straight out. That way I can hit it and fucking hits their window. Remember the magnum when we made the bump squirter? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was so awesome. Anyway. Um okay, cool. We'll talk later. I love you. Have a good drive home.
SPEAKER_01Bye.
unknownBye.
SPEAKER_01I love her enthusiasm. Yeah. You're like, hey, so do you want to do it? Sure. Sure. Why not? I know her mom. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was her excited face.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like she's jumping for joy. She's like, sure. Yeah, she ain't. No. I said, but you'd have to come to work. And did you hear nothing but car noise?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, you have to come to work. This stupid car's on my ass. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was pretty much what we got. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Whatever. Yeah, whatever. But that's not a bad idea. No, it's not. Because she actually is pretty good at it. Yeah, hey, if she can do it, let's do it. Yeah. Let her social media for us. Hey, and she's a she's a clothes builder. Building, she makes clothes. She made dresses. She she's making another dress this year. She could make our clothes for us. Think we could get her to make us some man skirts? I'm good. They call those kilts?
SPEAKER_01No, I don't want kilts. I want a man skirt. This is it like if Clayton fucking bought the skirt? Is it not long? No, I'm maybe. Tell her to make us some skirt. A mini man skirt? A mini man skirt.
SPEAKER_02It's got like a built-in banana hammock. You just take your junk up and set it in. Yeah, we just flushed that maturity shit right out the window. We just dumped it on the bum walking by.
SPEAKER_01Fuck that shit. Dude, beat his ass. Oh fuck. Oh. Did you ever watch bum fights in the early 90s? Yeah. You did? Okay. Yeah. Dude, I have fucking all those things. Yeah. Faces of death. Uh I yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I think that's not a bad idea.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a good idea.
SPEAKER_02I'm just tired of it. I bet her and some friends of hers could figure out how to film us and make it YouTubeable too. All off their phones. Yep.
SPEAKER_01And perfect. Yep.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I think I like this idea. Like have a whole like little girl party. Have have all of them come in here while we record and just take videos. It's really weird that we'd have like four or five 16-year-old girls in the show. Yeah, never mind. That's creepy. No, it's not. Yeah, it is. It's our kids. Yeah. Their parents better be here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, yeah. I don't know. Her friend's parents listen to the show. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, so they're so not going. Well, it's like when we go to County Line Pizza, like for our Monday night hangouts. Yeah. Um, shameless plug there. Um, there's families of people that are not like car people, so to speak, right. They know of the show. Oh, that's cool. That's weird. That is weird. But also cool. Yeah. Um, they seem to actually really like truck me, so they like Val. That's good. Yeah. Um, I don't think Joe was expecting Carpenter and a Barber to do as well as it's done on K Wiz. It's doing pretty well. Hell yeah. Yeah. The the people, the people like it. Fans like it. Fuck yeah. They're fucking good, dude. Dude. They're good. Um, and their stories. Like the stuff that they talk about. It's like you feel like he's like Uncle Joe. Yeah. Because he's got like these stories from, you know, when they were younger and and working all these bars and running bars and all that stuff and doing all this crazy shit in St. Louis. And you're like, tell me another story, Uncle Joe. You know what I mean? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Sit on my lap.
SPEAKER_02Um, what else? I don't really have much else.
SPEAKER_01You no, I just had my Jimmy's cell phone in standby. No, I just had my my cameras go off, and there's a guy standing in my side yard taking a picture. Can you talk to him? Uh maybe.
SPEAKER_03Get off my lawn.
SPEAKER_01Hello? Yeah, right. You know what really sucks is I don't have my glasses on, so I'm like sitting here squinting at it. Huh. Anyway. Anyway, sorry guys. Do we need to pause? No, you're good. Okay. Whoa.
SPEAKER_02He just barked at your dogs. Taking pictures of your house? Uh yeah, uh hold on. Do you have somebody coming over for something? I have no idea. On your wife? Yeah. I mean, we're at fifty minutes. We can get this pitch off. Maybe that's the pictures he's taking. But anyway. Alright then. Yeah. You should just did you hear my throat?
SPEAKER_01That was mine. Oh, is that yours? Yeah, that was mine. It's what's weird as it mine bubbled too. Did it? Yeah. I I was stuck, or as soon as it did it, and you're like, Did you hear that? We are getting old. We are. We're really old. What the fuck is this guy doing? You're taking pictures of your house for real? Like, this is between my truck and my house. That's like my garage door. And then he just walked to your backyard. No, no, no. My backyard, you can't get it this way, but watch. Who is that dude?
SPEAKER_02Say something to him. Is he trying to lo trying to sell your roof? Hello. Everything good? Who are you? He said, Yeah, brother. I don't know. Who are you?
SPEAKER_01Sorry for the delay, guys, but Yeah, sorry, there's some dude, but at least my wife's talking to him and Yeah, what the fuck? Well, frankly, not gonna lie, but my wife would kick beat his ass. Is that her calling you back? We'll be right back. Hold on, babe. They're doing what?
SPEAKER_00Solar panels.
SPEAKER_01By the way, woo, we're back. Yeah, solar panels. Okay. Well, I see a guy that's walking around holding his phone in the air, doing all kinds of shit. I'm flipping out. I mean, we're recording right now, and you're actually on the podcast right now.
SPEAKER_03Hi, Kelly.
SPEAKER_00What up, fam?
SPEAKER_01Sexy hoe.
SPEAKER_00Did he just call me a hoe?
SPEAKER_01He did. I called her a sexy hoe. A sexy hoe is what he said.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. Tred Lily.
SPEAKER_01All right, babe. Well, I've kind of freaked out for a minute there.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I'm safe. I'm fine.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'll be home a little bit. Alright, love you. Love you. We were we were like, fuck. Do we need to leave? I did like literally, you see a guy holding a fucking phone up in the air, walking like you see a shadow walking away from my house. Yeah. And he's holding a cup. Yeah, I'm looking trying to see. And a phone.
SPEAKER_02Now I gotta figure out how to cancel the Uber helicopter. Uber helicopter.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Would you? What? If you could Uber helicopter.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Would you?
SPEAKER_02A hundred percent. Except for if it showed up and it had like LED rope lights everywhere.
SPEAKER_01Hello. What if it showed up and there's nobody in it?
SPEAKER_02Get in my chopper.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. All of a sudden you're fucking flying and all of a sudden all of them kick on it to like a game show. Yeah. Like, what was that? Taxi. Oh, yeah. Remember that? Dude, I love this shit. Cash cab. Dude, I wanted to fucking, I wanted to get one. Maybe like the check chopper.
SPEAKER_02Oh god. And we're back. And we're back. Maybe I need to make a shirt. Check chopper. Check chopper. It's colored like a cab. It's kind of wild.
SPEAKER_01You know what we should do? Oh. Just a slew of different shirts. Maybe people will buy it. Never know. Teshra? Yeah. I mean. Yeah. What else? We got mother trucker. Um ready? Front. What ambition? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. On the back. Right? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. On the front.
SPEAKER_02Right on the front. Right. The question on the back. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. That's all it says. No logo. No name.
SPEAKER_01Dude, where's my car? Dude, sweet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh I don't have anything else. We absolutely talked about nothing. This is gonna this episode's gonna tank. I'm definitely not putting this on social media. What do you mean? Probably be the best one ever.
SPEAKER_01It might we're gonna do the experiment and find out. Yeah, don't do anything. Yeah. And then you're not gonna drop it until tomorrow morning? Probably. Like you did last week? Probably. Didn't you say the numbers were good? Yeah. Yeah. But they kind of petered out, so it didn't really matter. Yeah, then drop it tonight. I don't know. I'm lazy. Yeah, fuck them. Drop it, drop it Friday. Saturday afternoon.
SPEAKER_02It actually seems to do better when I drop it on Thursday. They all get pissy though. They're like, I'll usually listen to it on the way to work.
SPEAKER_01You know, I always wondered if we just gauged it and all that stuff. So this is where my brain went is you guys started doing truck me on Sundays. Yeah. And originally I wanted to do Sundays because we'd release it Monday morning for the drive fucking to work. Like fuck this shit. At least I can listen to this. Right. And then maybe not a bad idea. Just do it all in one day. Do both of them. Yeah. We'll just do uh hometown hot rider, go truck yourself. Well, we'll just record one of them with all three of us, me, you and Val.
SPEAKER_02Hit pause and then or hit stop and then hit record and start the other one.
SPEAKER_01And start the other one? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um I'm I'm gonna have to come sit in one. I like her.
SPEAKER_02Um is it this weekend or next week? Well, we're gonna do one this weekend because we didn't do it last weekend. Okay.

And then all of a sudden it like kicked into the fucking overdrive as soon as it got hot. Today was like 18 minutes long. Bro. It was fucking hot.
SPEAKER_02It went by fast though. Yeah, it did. Um we managed to make it pretty much an hour. Did we? Yeah. Well, fucking congratulations. Good, good on us.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Good on us. We talked about being old. Old. Um, talked about program changes. Yeah. Everybody's been freaking out. Man, are y'all really fucking for real gonna change and be all serious and shit?
SPEAKER_01Nah. You know what's funny is I was listening to radio and they were talking about uh they were doing a spot for for like uh Hershey's. Yeah. Okay, and they're like, when I'm sitting here creating an or what is it producing an award-winning uh radio show, and I'm like, Bitch, you produce this shit? Yeah, like you guys think about this stuff all day, yeah. Sit in this motherfucker. Like, that's what gets me about the whole radio thing. Like, all of a sudden they're like, okay, so radio guys, you know, they go on about six o'clock, but they're there at like 2 a.m. For what? Yeah, they're gonna fucking sit around, shoot the shit. It will show up 30 minutes fucking beforehand and roll the beautiful bean foot.
SPEAKER_03Like, I'm coming!
SPEAKER_01I'm coming.
SPEAKER_03Hold on, I'm coming. Hold on, hit play.
SPEAKER_00Hip play.
SPEAKER_03Start the music. I'm on my way. Here I come.
SPEAKER_01Like, I honestly, it's kind of stupid that radio radio radio stations don't try to fucking come get us.
SPEAKER_03Just throw me my headphones!
SPEAKER_01I mean, can you imagine the fucking like the unorthodox? I mean, I mean, we could we could I'd have to pay a lot of fines.
SPEAKER_02We could not I I don't think so. I think we could be insultless offensive. I think that makes sense. Uh insultless immature.
SPEAKER_01I think we could be I I think it I think it just all has to do with the the actual cussing. Yeah, I think I can cut that out. I think I think we could. I we've cut it back a lot, but the thing is, is like we don't have to cuss consistently, but I mean uh our our content can stay the same too. Yeah. I mean, if you think about it, yeah. I mean, we might have to idle some things back that we maybe go, but maybe whatever.
SPEAKER_03Run an extra commercial!
SPEAKER_01Run an extra commercial Paul said you're like, hey, go to commercial. Why I have to be. Yeah. What happened to the last commercial?
SPEAKER_03I couldn't find my cigarettes.
SPEAKER_04Oh, we saved this whole episode to fucking act like idiots at the very end. And no one will fucking hear. Slow to start, baby, slow to start. And episode two.
SPEAKER_01Go. Holy shit.
SPEAKER_04Oh god.
SPEAKER_01Well, I almost beat myself laughing so hard. Oh god.
SPEAKER_03There's traffic in the hallway!
SPEAKER_01There's traffic in the hallway.
SPEAKER_03Holy shit, she's in her ass!
SPEAKER_04I don't know if it was funnier doing the bit or funnier that I knocked over literally fucking everything.
SPEAKER_01Everything everything. Fucking awesome. It's okay. I was sitting here, okay, during the whole entire show. I'm sitting here and I look over at your bottle and I'm like, why does it have the little deal on it for fucking like baseball cards? You see it? And I'm like, what the fuck? And then I look and you can peel it back, and there's a fucking soccer sticker in it. That's what I was doing. I I tripped out, I looked, and it's I looked and I grabbed it and flipped around and it said, collect one of 12 stickers. And then all of a sudden I look inside and it was in on the inside. There was a fucking sticker, so I took it off and put on my little fucking deal. Well, I'm gonna take that little queer off there, though. I'll be damned. Little fucking soccer bottle queer. Oh god.
SPEAKER_03Anybody wanted something from the machine?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. Uh can you imagine? Can you imagine the fucking or or even better, we're we're on the fucking air and all of a sudden it's hold on. I'm texting somebody. Yeah. Hang on one second. Hang on.
SPEAKER_02Fuck. Hold on, somebody's calling me. Somebody's calling. Oh man. Maybe we should just start applying radio stations. Fuck this hot rod shit.
SPEAKER_01I mean, whatever. I mean, I know one that doesn't have an afternoon show right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Which which is good though if you if you ask me. Yeah, it needs music. The the whole fucking that whole station, like literally, it's talk, it's music, it's talk, it's music, and then it's fucking sports.
SPEAKER_02And I I hate to say this, but I could I can't stand Ben and Skin.
SPEAKER_01No, that's why I think we could definitely jump in there. I can't stand because you could have waking up with the Woody in the fucking afternoon BJ with Brian Jimmy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm just saying. Yeah. Yeah, because yeah, I don't like Ben and Skin at all. Just don't.
SPEAKER_01Oh, and I I got him confused. So I always think that Ben and Skin are like fucking the coolest motherfuckers, and I'm like, why are they not fucking cool anymore? And then I remember it's scratch and sniff that were the cool motherfuckers. Yeah. You know, where they did the fucking different mix of music and shit. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, yeah, those aren't the people.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Ben and Skin to me is like listening to the ticket. And I know I pissed some people off because a lot of old dudes listen to the ticket. They came from the ticket. Yeah. And I if I'm not mistaken, I think they I think they did. I can't stand the ticket either. Yeah, I think they came from the ticket. I had homeboy from Affleck freaked out today that I didn't I wasn't a sports fan. Oh, people people freak out when You mean you're not a sports fan?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I I just I'm not a sports fan. I literally like like I I think this is a conversation yesterday or day before. But anyway, we're sitting at the break room. Someone said something about oh, it's football season. I'm like, if it ain't got wheels, I don't give a fuck, and I'm not talking about NASCAR. And I don't even care about that. Like No, I'm just done with any kind of sport.
SPEAKER_02I don't know that I'm a fan at all of anything.
SPEAKER_01No. I'm just bitter and bitchy. Like, like I want to watch But I'm not really. I'm really not. I want to watch the semifinals. Yeah, like the semifinals and finals of the last like drag race.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like I think I've I've I think I've just I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I think I've found some new peace within myself, and I'm cool with not you're cool with fucking having the hose and telling everybody get off your lawn.
SPEAKER_03Get off my lawn.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Um don't let your dog shit next to my dog's shit. Now I got two piles of shit I'm not gonna clean.
SPEAKER_01That I'm not gonna clean. Oh, all right. Well you know, I'm gonna invent the poop flinger. Okay. Yeah, it's not like a it's like a pooper scooper and all that stuff, but you get it and you can fucking bend it a little bit, and you go out to your lawn and you fucking grab it and you flick it like that, and it goes into the fucking neighbors or fucking cross the street. Far far enough to go across the street.
SPEAKER_02Dog turtle across. Bro. Try to aim at people walking by. Yeah, like paddle ball. Yeah. Instead of pickleball, it's fecal ball. It's fecal ball. Bro. Okay. Yeah, we're good. That's enough.
