Welcome to the Tailgate Connect podcast. This is our very first episode. So, first things first, thank you for being here. If you love Tailgating, you're in the right spot, and thanks for tuning in. For this episode, we want to keep it simple, tell you who we are, why we're doing it, and a bit about Tailgate Connect itself. First off, who am I? I'm your host, Luke Lorick, with Tailgating Challenge. I got started with tailgating at an early age. I went to Tailgates at Williams Bryce Stadium in South Carolina and fell in love at an early age. From then I took that passion, made Tailgating Challenge one of the largest tailgating sites in the world, founded National Tailgating Day, National Home Gating Day, National Yard Games Day. I've been on ESPN, SEC Network, and even had a short cameo in the Barbie movie. It's safe to say I love some tailgating, and I'm sure you do too if you're tuning in right now. So let's get into what is Tailgate Connect. Tailgate Connect is a veteran-owned company transforming tailgating by connecting fans in parking lots across America. Whether you're a visiting fan or just looking for a tailgate in your hometown, you'll be introduced to local hosts to share food, drink, traditions, and stories. We get to see it firsthand every week at over 50 locations that we currently have, but we think that communal spirit of celebration is starting to get lost in the big picture shuffle of NIL deals and the further commercialization of college sports. With the Tailgate Connect podcast, we want to shine a light on the stories and people that exemplify that sense of community week in and week out.
