SPEAKER_00:

welcome to the jesus michael and ashley's show uh this episode three so you excited yeah yeah excited it's been a little bit so little by little we're getting better at this so uh bear with us um i bought a very expensive microphone it was echoing it was picking up all the sounds of our little animals so now we're back on these but they actually sound pretty good it's actually fuzzy Yeah, that's best. You're so darn cute. You're so cute. All right, so today's episode, what we're going to talk about is the Holy Spirit, also known as the Helper. So we're going to discuss how he operates and how the Holy Spirit has brought us back to our journey with Christ. So I thought that'd be a good episode. So let's start off with the Bible verse.

UNKNOWN:

Okay.

SPEAKER_00:

John 14, 26, 27. Yeah, so that's kind of like a little bit there to kind of start us off with the Holy Spirit. Okay. I like it. Yeah. So going through my research and just things, one of the main things the Holy Spirit is, is the Holy Spirit is a

SPEAKER_01:

teacher.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. So any examples where he's taught you anything?

SPEAKER_01:

Come

SPEAKER_00:

on. I'm sharing the conviction. Here's the

SPEAKER_01:

conviction, folks. I mean, I'm sure there is, and I was trying to think of stuff before we did this. Yeah. Well, I mean, I guess teaching me what not to do in life. Put it on the spot. Yeah. Teaching me what not to do, I mean, as in like partying

SPEAKER_00:

and being

SPEAKER_01:

substances and things of that nature that we don't do anymore. And drinking and all that. I mean, that's a teaching moment. I had teaching moments during... doing those things. I would definitely say that.

SPEAKER_00:

Huge. Huge for us personally. Our lives... from here where there were like six months ago, excuse me, is so much better than what it used to be. And again, that's what Christ being in us and the Holy Spirit, Christ and the Holy Spirit living like within us and helping us. So he's a teacher. That was a good one.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't need to go. It's like put me on the spot now.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, exactly. Okay. All right. So another one is you can ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. So So this could be for all sorts of things. You can literally ask the Holy Spirit for anything. So for instance, you can ask him for guidance throughout the week. So what I like to do is pray in Jesus' name, like, Holy Spirit, please come into our hearts, guide us throughout the week, help us to make the right decisions. And it could even be like a purchase. So for instance, one of them was, you see this nice little shiny MacBook Pro we have here? So funny story about that one. So I wanted to purchase this MacBook Pro. Me and Ashley did not at the moment have the funds. So I was like, let's just swipe it on credit. You know what I mean? We'll pay for it. The Lord will provide. And he did. But she didn't feel right about us purchasing this very expensive MacBook.

SPEAKER_01:

Not even a little bit.

SPEAKER_00:

So she helped me. The Holy Spirit helped me. And I was like, okay, we shouldn't buy this. It's not the right time. So we prayed about it. And lo and behold, everything works out. I sold my vehicle. I didn't even get to put the first sell sign on the vehicle. It

SPEAKER_01:

just sold real quick in a very convenient way.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, yes. The easiest

SPEAKER_01:

possible way ever.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, exactly. So anyways, it paid for this MacBook. And the Holy Spirit was like, hey, just have patience. I got you. And this has been very helpful in what we're doing here. Thank you, Holy Spirit. It has

SPEAKER_01:

been nice. And I would say, and one that popped into my head, I don't know if this is guidance or not, but when you're driving in the car, and we live in Las Vegas, and the driving's terrible, and it's terrifying, and people are doing crazy things. And sometimes you're just like, Holy Spirit, please get me through this, and I don't want to have any road rage. So it's like, I feel like... The Holy Spirit's good for literally guiding you through your day and your everyday things. Absolutely. It's because he's in there, and he literally guides your body, I feel like. Like your soul and your body and your mind and everything. Because it's within you. The Holy Spirit's within

SPEAKER_00:

you. And the best part about that is that you can pray to the Holy Spirit because God the Father wants what's best for you. So when you're praying for things that are good for you, good for your spirit, the Holy Spirit, it's like the Holy Spirit, like he wants that. So God the Father, he makes that happen. So he helps you put you on the right path.

UNKNOWN:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Always praying for good things that are good for you. So another one is the Holy Spirit can also send you a certain task, talk to a person or prepare an event or even train you for something. So there's all sorts of different ways the Holy Spirit can help you. I've had instances where I felt the need to go and speak to that person. Or just the other day, I think there was we... um it was a in and out that we bought some in and out for a person um they were outside it was we were getting some in and out so why not buy them something enough so it felt like the right thing to do something was urging you know sometimes when you're gonna give money to somebody or something like that you kind of like i don't know if i should and then the holy spirit convicted you you're like let's just do it yeah

SPEAKER_01:

yeah i had that that was the thing is like i saw the guy and i was just like I was kind of fighting with myself, which is so silly, because I was like, we were in the car, and it popped into my head. I was like, oh, we should get that guy a burger. And he had a dog, and I was like, we should get the dog a few burger patties. And then in my head, I was fighting with myself. I was like, no, no. And I was like, no. Why are you fighting with yourself on this? It's a good thing to do. If you want to get the guy a burger, get the guy a burger. We have the funds to get ourselves a burger. We can get that guy a burger. And I was just like, Just tell your husband. Just tell him. Don't be nervous about it. Just say it. And so I was like, I want to get that guy a burger. And he's like, all right, cool. So it's silly, though, because you have to listen to it. If you really feel like you want to do that, and it's a good thing to do, I mean... You

SPEAKER_00:

know? Absolutely. You have to have like the courage to, when the Holy Spirit tells you to do something and it's something good, you want to do that, you know? And it's hard to, sometimes you want to, you don't want to leave your comfort zone. And so that's kind of like a thing. It's like, it's comforting to sit in our car and not have to like, you know, roll down the window and have this whole conversation. Or you can just go ahead and do it and you know it's going to be a good thing in the end. And so again, like you just, the Holy Spirit's always trying to guide you to do things that are good, righteous, and and especially feeding people, which is a good thing to have.

SPEAKER_01:

I feel like you'll get those nervous feelings or just those negative thoughts. That's not God. If you want to do it, then you've got to do the good thing. I was going to say really quick on that. You have a story that we're going to talk about later in another video about feeling that the pull to go talk to a person

SPEAKER_00:

yeah

SPEAKER_01:

which then brought on a whole story which is very interesting

SPEAKER_00:

yes uh we can't wait to share with you guys yeah we're

SPEAKER_01:

excited to share that story but it's just it's going to be a whole video in and of itself but that's what i thought of first immediately was that and it's it's it's going to be a good one

SPEAKER_00:

and that's what this this show is all about is kind of Showing our path with Christ, coming from electronic music festival kids, party goers, festivals, you know, all the sorts and our journey with Christ and how much he's changed our lives. And just the supernatural things we've experienced, our testimony that we want to share with you in case you've had a similar testimony or a similar experience. And also we want to shed the light on the biblical aspects of those things that happened. A lot of times these things happen to people in everyday things, and they write it off as just normal. But now that we're reading the Bible, we're seeing the biblical and the spiritual aspects of the spiritual warfare that's happening. There's also a very amazing story that she wants to bring up. It's actually a very good story dealing with God and the Holy Spirit, which we're going to share.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah.

UNKNOWN:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

um so the holy spirit brings reminders

SPEAKER_01:

okay

SPEAKER_00:

yeah so i would say okay so for instance um i have a i have a brother who is in prison and um i felt i can't tell you how many times the holy spirit has nudged me to to write a letter to him um and i was letting everyday life just get in the way and Um, over and over the nudge kept saying it, he would pop in my head. I'm like, you know, I got to do it. And then I would put it off over and over. I kept doing that. And to the point where like the Holy spirit's like grabbing me and shaking me like that. And this is like, and so I just had to sit down and I sat down and wrote a whole letter, um, It was good. It was really good. I sent that letter off to him. That's just one reminder. There's often times like that where I'm always just being reminded to do something, to send that text to that one friend. A name will pop into my head sometimes. It'll be

SPEAKER_01:

like,

SPEAKER_00:

call that person. Text that person. Have a conversation with them. I haven't had in a long time. If the opportunity arises, I'll bring up Christ and speak about it and how he He's been working in our lives and just how amazing He's been. So yeah, reminders and things like that, it happens all the time. So be a reminder for that. Listen to the Holy Spirit. So

SPEAKER_01:

I had a good reminder the past, today and yesterday, and I think this is an interesting one. And maybe even, I don't know, not silly, but a reminder to pray. And it's this... I like... It's like this burden in your chest, in your heart, in your soul that's just pulling you to sit down and pray. And I... Don't usually get that. I'm still working with God on that, and that's okay. I think sometimes we all got to work on that. But I have a prayer journal, and I prefer to pray and write in the journal, but I've been praying that I could just sit down with God with just my words. And I just felt the burden yesterday and today to do that. um not a burden but it just you know you feel it's like it it's it's a reminder it keeps it you can't forget about it yeah um until you go do it and so i finally today went and did that and it was it was great Um, and the, the burden of it was gone, you know? Yeah. It was like, I asked God to help and he's like, okay, well, I'm going to just set it right here until you do it. You could go think of something else, but it's going to come right back. And that's what kept happening.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

So I feel like that's a, that's a, that's my favorite reminder because that's what I need.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, for sure. Um, I like how you said you prayed for it and it happened. So that goes again, goes back to praying for things that are good for you because god's like our father he's like our father in heaven and we're like his son and children so when you're praying for things that are good for you like lord and this is such a good prayer if you're a beginning christian or whatever it might be praying like lord please help me to have more wisdom like lord please and pray for it again and again that's what i prayed for and the holy spirit convicted me and i was digging into this this bible i've three months or so, I've already read, I've read this entire book and I'm already on a couple more read throughs kind of thing. So, um, you pray for things like that that are good for you and you pray for Lord, uh, help me to know you better. Help me to love you more. You know, like if you don't like, if you're just like feeling so close to Lord, help me to be closer to you. Those things, he likes it when you pray for those things. It's loving to his heart. God is very personal. And so he wants what's best for his children. He's like, that's something I want my children to pray for. And

SPEAKER_01:

I think he knows that it can be hard

SPEAKER_00:

for

SPEAKER_01:

us because we live in the world.

UNKNOWN:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Distractions everywhere. Everything's a distraction from Jesus Christ. Everything is a distraction. It's

SPEAKER_01:

hard, so he knows that. And so when you're asking him for guidance and reminders and teachings to be closer to him, I mean, I feel like he's going to answer that.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, absolutely. Okay, so another one we have is the Holy Spirit gives nudges, sometimes a sign or a feeling or a call to do something. So that's almost kind of what we just spoke about, reminders. I did have a Bible verse. Do you have anything that you might bring to mind for nudging? No, I

SPEAKER_01:

feel like that kind of was going with reminders. Because that's kind of what it was for my... my prayer time was like nudging and like the nudging and the like burden you know that like feeling that you can't get rid of until you do the thing that's inside

SPEAKER_00:

okay perfect okay no no that's perfect i need you to say something because i had to pull this bible verse real quick so you did amazing i love you i knew what he was doing okay So I pulled up this Bible verse that has something to do with nudging, which I'm trying to do more because in the first two episodes, I didn't have enough. We were just talking about biblical stuff, but I want to have more Bible verses to bring into it and tie into things because I want to keep this as biblical as we can. So here's a verse in Acts. So the Holy Spirit said to Philip, go over and walk. Along beside the carriage, Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, Do you understand what you're reading? The man replied, How can I unless someone instructs me? And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him. The passage of scripture he had been reading was this, So basically, we'll just stop there before we read what the passage they read. It says, the Holy Spirit said to Philip, go over and walk along besides the carriage. So Philip was just... The Holy Spirit spoke to Spirit, and he was nudged. Or even, you know, the Holy Spirit spoke to him in his spirit. He said, hey, go walk beside that carriage. So he went over to walk beside him. He's like, I don't know what I'm doing. And that's happened to me. The Holy Spirit's convicting me to do something, and I don't know why I'm doing it. And then all of a sudden, it clicks. So all of a sudden, this guy's reading from the scroll of Isaiah. And he's like, oh, you're reading from the scroll of Isaiah. Like, I'm a Christian. This is why we're supposed to have this conversation. So Philip talks to him. And the guy's like, I'm reading the scroll and i don't know what i'm reading i don't know what this even means and so philip was there to help him find meaning to what this meant and so this is what the scroll said and it's and keep in mind what this scroll in isaiah it's speaking about jesus so it says the scroll said he was led like a sheep to the slaughter and as a lamb is silent before the shears he did not open his mouth He was humiliated and received no justice. We can speak of his descendants, for his life was taken from the earth. And so that's speaking of Jesus being taken as a lamb and slaughtered for us. So he was reading about a prophecy in Isaiah about Jesus Christ, and he didn't know what it meant. The eunuch asked Philip, Tell me, was the prophet talking about himself or someone else? So he began with this same scripture. Bill told him the good news about Jesus Christ. So he found him just in that moment when he was reading a prophecy about Jesus Christ. And Jesus is like, this is the good news. This is Jesus Christ. He died for you and me and you. And the good news is here. All you have to do is profess with your lips and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. And he he will and you'll be saved and he will change your heart like he changed our hearts but that's all you have to do is just profess it and that's what you do is you humble yourself you humble yourself and be like lord you know if you're out there you know but we know he's out there but you just you profess it with your lips you say you're my lord and savior and you believe what he he died for his sins and that was enough um so i thought that was really awesome and then um That was in Acts 8, 29 through 35. And so after that story, just real quick, Philip, the end of that story basically is that Philip finds some water nearby and he baptizes this eunuch. Nice. And he becomes a follower of Christ. And probably from there, that eunuch came in like a mustard seed. grew very small and he probably brought more people to Christ and so that's kind of like what we're trying to do right here is spread the good news and spread a little mustard seeds and hopefully bring more people to Christ because it's the most important thing to me and us and you know we feel you know we want to get the good word out there because a lot of people are being deceived by Satan and we're just very glad that we woke up from our path of destruction and we're glad that christ brought us back to him and it's just a beautiful thing

SPEAKER_01:

so yeah

SPEAKER_00:

yeah cool all right so

SPEAKER_01:

that was good

SPEAKER_00:

yeah that was good that was a good example yeah um so the holy spirit will convict you what do you think about that one

SPEAKER_01:

what

SPEAKER_00:

do you think about that one about with the macbook computer i'm trying to get it before i have the money yo uh But it can convict you. Okay, so for instance, I would say... Okay, the good one with this is he convicts you because... You know, you're doing something you're not supposed to do, right? Like there's something, you know, you got to let go. That's taking too much time. For instance, being on your phone, being on your phone a lot, something that the Holy Spirit convicted me. And this also goes with like idols, things that are idols in your heart. Jesus would be in your heart, not have these other idols. You want to put Jesus Christ first in your heart. So being on your phone and, you know, scrolling and scrolling and scrolling, the Holy Spirit was convicting me like, hey, it's like Jesus and the Holy Spirit is like knocking on me and saying like, yeah, you're putting me way last you're over here. Yeah. on your phone before you go to bed for an hour and a half. And what do I get? Do I get a five minute prayer? I get a five minute prayer and you're on your phone for an hour and a half scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. So the Holy Spirit convicted me to start putting Christ first. So my practice every day is what I like to do is before bed, I kneel down because I like to humbly get before my God and just pray for anything, pray for the world, pray for people who still need Christ in their lives and for, you know, of guidance from the Holy Spirit, things like that. And in the morning before I pick up my phone, I'll read a devotional, which is a devotional is kind of like a spiritual scripture just to kind of set your day kind of thing but also I'll before I start scrolling on YouTube or things like that I'll pray to God and just pray about the day and similar things like that praying for other people and it says in the Bible to never stop cease praying there's just there's so much power in prayer and I can't stress that enough I'm praying for all our friends all our family for just everyone and just praying that God would give them a heart to to just open up to him because he just needs an opening and when he finds and comes into your heart he will he like churns your heart it's this i can't explain it you it's like it's called being born again christian but um when it happens like you'll know you'll feel the conviction of the holy spirit and the conviction of the sin and all the things that we've done in our lives that we know we shouldn't have done but it's like i know i'm sorry i'm sorry god sorry and that's the conviction and that's where it comes from it's like he can't he needs to have that before you can let him in so conviction's a huge one

SPEAKER_01:

it's like one of my favorite things was instead of trying to gain things within yourself or in your life or anything like that I forget who said it was like what I think it was Pastor Gia. What can I get rid of to make room for more of God in my life, for God in general? And I always love that. It's not word for word, but that's the gist of it. Instead of more, more, more, what can I get rid of? What can I get rid of? And there's a lot of things that we've both gotten rid of. Things

SPEAKER_00:

that don't serve God. Yeah,

SPEAKER_01:

a lot of things. And it truly does make more room for God in your life.

SPEAKER_00:

And with that comes more peace.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh yeah, definitely.

SPEAKER_00:

We are living very peaceful lives. The Holy Spirit, that's another one I don't have on here. It actually is on here. The Holy Spirit brings peace. And actually, that's the next one. That's the next one. That's so funny. That's the next one. I had to switch pages. Yeah, the Holy Spirit brings peace. There's been instances where God's confirmed something with me, like in a prayer, and I feel like at peace. It's almost like he's saying yes to whatever that was. He's answering my question, and I feel peace, like there's peace upon me. And that's the Holy Spirit bringing peace into my heart. confirming with me that the answer was yes or no or whatever it might have been like it could be like letting go of something like you were saying

SPEAKER_01:

also about about peace I think I said this in one of our other videos so I'll just briefly say it again about anxiety and worry that's not from God because God brings peace so it's just another example of I have way less anxiety and worry in my life now that I have God, and it's truly so much more peaceful. It really is.

SPEAKER_00:

I feel like the thing that comes along with that is the hope, but also with our faith. We know with 100% certainty that this is the truth based on our testimonies and what we've gone through and how the Holy Spirit's convicted us. and how he's made us feel. And we're going to share some more stories with you. But we know this to be the truth. And if this is to be the truth, all we need to do is accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and try to live a more righteous, holy life, which we're trying to do. And when you try to do that, it's not worldly. And so when you're not doing something that's worldly, the world pushes back on that. But anyways, what I'm trying to say is that we have a... hope, and we know that the Lord is coming back. He's coming back and there's something after this life. There is something after this life. And it's not

SPEAKER_01:

coming back into the same world as something else. No, no. It's definitely not. It's none of those

SPEAKER_00:

weird things. We used to be new agey.

SPEAKER_01:

It's none of that stuff. It's the kingdom that has been created for us. And that's beautiful and it really does bring peace because I think there's something else. It's in some songs that we we sing at church and um death has no grip on us because there's nothing to be scared of

SPEAKER_00:

yeah

SPEAKER_01:

um and don't get me wrong i still feel fear every now and then i still fear feel scared sometimes um but really when you think about it when you're scared or when you're fearful if you really think about it just for a second you're like actually it it's gonna be fine because even if things go completely sideways i'm gonna be totally fine um because i know where i know what i have an idea of what's in store for us and i know it's something that we can't even imagine so it's gonna be that's why i say that because i don't really know because we could never even imagine what

SPEAKER_00:

it is it says that in the bible it's so

SPEAKER_01:

it's so peaceful to know that It really is because this world is scary. But just knowing that is beautiful.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay. So, all right. So here's a counterpoint. So what if you don't feel the Holy Spirit? You got one for that one? I have something. I have something.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay. If you don't feel the Holy Spirit, you should continue to pray. That's what I think. You should continue to pray to God. And you will feel him. I struggle with that. I really, truly do struggle with that. And sometimes it just comes in the form of just pure peace. But that's my recommendation is to keep praying and to be open and have your eyes open. Be focused on the Lord because anything could be a sign. And sometimes I laugh. I laugh about him. I'm like, you're taking this way too far. And he's like, no, I'm not. And I'm like, you're right.

SPEAKER_00:

Sometimes I'm wrong. Sometimes. But you got to filter it through Christ. Yes. You

SPEAKER_01:

got to think, is this taking me closer to God or pulling me away from God? That's a good way to discern, but. And

SPEAKER_00:

a good way to put it is you can ask God like, hey, this kind of felt like a sign. So you could pray like, Lord, was this just a sign or are you telling me to go this direction? And then you can do that. You can ask the Holy Spirit for a sign. You can be like, if this is okay, so I'm going to keep. So the reason, another reason why I got this MacBook and I'm continuing with these videos, I asked the Lord like, hey, Lord, I'm I'm putting a little bit of investment into this. If this is what you want me to do, I'm going to keep doing this because I want to glorify you and get the news out to the good news to people. And if it's not the right thing to do, put a stumbling block in my way. Don't let it happen. Before you know it, if you're trying to do something you're not supposed to be doing, all of a sudden you get a flat tire. You can't get to the destination. All of a sudden, the Holy Spirit and God puts roadblocks in your way. You can ask Him for a sign. If you're not 100% sure, ask about Him. Talk to Him. Pay attention. It will bring that to you. Real quick though, what if you don't feel anything? You don't feel anything at all. You're praying. You just don't feel like there's just nothing there.

SPEAKER_01:

so

SPEAKER_00:

that that's that's where we're going to that if you don't oh

SPEAKER_01:

oh oh i say it i was just i i didn't even i remember i read these notes before but i actually i forgot about this section is i was going to say well it could be because you haven't repented for any of the sins that you've committed and or you're still continuing for example to go to music festivals that you know are not what you should be doing because you've been shown

SPEAKER_00:

yeah

SPEAKER_01:

by god that is not

SPEAKER_00:

yeah personally showed us personally another

SPEAKER_01:

story for another day but oh i literally said it so repentance of your sins

SPEAKER_00:

i thought you read it you did that on your own i

SPEAKER_01:

read it but i forgot that was there

SPEAKER_00:

that's great no that's perfect you're you're on the you're on the same page then um so yeah if you're if you're not feeling the holy spirit um again you're a new christian and or even if you've been a Christian for a while, it doesn't matter. If you're praying, you're just not feeling the Holy Spirit. For one thing, you're not always going to feel God. You're not always going to feel like he's there. It's not always this warm little fuzzy feeling all the time. Let's just be real. God's busy. He's doing a lot in the world. He hears you, and you have the

SPEAKER_01:

Holy Spirit within you, but sometimes it's just not. You're not always going to feel it. Yeah, it's just the

SPEAKER_00:

way it is. But let's say you're not feeling it at all. And all the time, you're just wondering, like, what's going on? Like, I felt like the Holy Spirit was talking to me, but now he's not talking to me anymore. So it could be sin. So what happens with sin is that when you sin, like you said, going to music festivals, and it's not just going to music festivals. No, it's just

SPEAKER_01:

my example of what we've gone through.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, and it's going to, you know, all the substances, all the things, all the sinful nature of things. So sin brings you further away from God. And so the more you sin and sin and sin, it's like you're pulling yourself further and further away from God. And when you start living of the world, doing worldly things, you start forgetting about God, putting him last, things like that. So you're getting further and further and further away from him. It's like his voice is getting smaller and smaller and smaller. So sin keeps you away from God. So that's why you don't hear the Holy Spirit. So what you can do is you said repentance. So sometimes you got to just talk to God and pray and just like, Lord, I have not been doing what I'm supposed to be doing. And I'm sorry. And please make me new with you. Holy Spirit, come back into my life. I'm sorry. And really have that, you know, that kind of like, I'm sorry. Not don't just say it, but feel it. And when you pray and it kind of washes you clean again, and it like allows the Holy Spirit to come back into your spirit as well and dwell in you. And that flame of the Holy Spirit, it grows stronger and stronger back in you. So you can have this A little flame of the Holy Spirit is trying to tell you, but sin keeps you away from it. So repentance helps bring him back. That's

SPEAKER_01:

a good explanation there.

SPEAKER_00:

And other things, again, like holding on to idols. What are some examples of some idols you have? Is that too personal? I don't know if you want to share that.

SPEAKER_01:

Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, Instagram. The other ones, all the other ones. I don't know. All of

SPEAKER_00:

them. All the subscription-based

SPEAKER_01:

stuff. I'm working on that. I'm working on that. For me. It's a slow process.

SPEAKER_00:

For sure.

SPEAKER_01:

But I'm trying.

SPEAKER_00:

For me, you know, the phone one, that was one trying to give up for God. He's done really

SPEAKER_01:

good on that, actually. I'm doing better. I'm doing better. I would say that's not an idol of yours at this current time. Really? I believe

SPEAKER_00:

that. That's good. I

SPEAKER_01:

truly see the difference. I definitely see the difference.

SPEAKER_00:

Usually when I'm on my phone or on my laptop, it's like God-focused.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes. It was not before, and I would not categorize that as an idol for you anymore. It was, but it's not now.

SPEAKER_00:

That's good to hear from an outside perspective.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, you've been doing

SPEAKER_00:

great. I think it's great to, again, I think that's the reason why is like I'm, And it's exactly what we're talking about. I'm praying to the Holy Spirit coming to my life. When I'm doing things that I shouldn't be doing, we all do that. I'll ask for repentance. So I feel like the Holy Spirit is living within me, and I'm digging in my Bible. I'm doing the work for this, the background work for this. So my whole focus, my whole being now is– Bringing people to Christ. That's my purpose. This is my purpose. Are you watching this video? This is my purpose. This is what the Holy Spirit has convicted me to do. The thought came into my mind and it churned my heart. I've never felt anything like it. It was the most... I can't explain it. Well, it's just... I've seen the change. You have to feel it. You have to feel it.

SPEAKER_01:

I've seen the change in you. Yeah. I was going to say slowly, but it's been pretty quickly, actually. Oh, yeah. We've just gotten rid of things, like I mentioned before. Gotten rid of things, and...

SPEAKER_00:

Used to be a DJ. You

SPEAKER_01:

have so much more room for God. I mean, there's always more room for God, but you really do put God first. Yeah. In... almost every single thing. Pretty much everything. It's beautiful, and I look up to that.

SPEAKER_00:

The beautiful thing about that is if I put God first, he's going to put me on the right path to be a better leader for her.

SPEAKER_01:

That's so true. Like I said before in another podcast, that's why this is called the Jesus, Michael, and Ashley show. It's Jesus, Michael, and Ashley. We're being led by Jesus, and he's really... a huge leader to me god is the leader but i you you really do lead me and that's why i've made a lot of the changes of course because of god but i believe he works through you yeah for sure a lot to help me because that's just i really think that's part of the husband's role too is to work with god to lead your wife and if you have kids your kids yeah yeah and you do a great job thank you

SPEAKER_00:

yeah i love you very much my wife everybody lucky man okay so um yeah so not putting god first i have it on the list too but i think we kind of went over that

SPEAKER_01:

okay

SPEAKER_00:

All right, well, man, this has been a nice, big, huge topic to work on. That was good. It was good. Because, you know, sometimes I've been asked about the Holy Spirit and sometimes you just weren't prepared. Sometimes you're like, yeah, you're trying to explain it like, oh, you just have to know. But doing more research on it, I knew the answer, but in the moment, I just couldn't think of it. But after doing this research, I'm like, I already knew all these answers. I'm like, oh, yeah, of course. But now it's hardwired and stuck in me now. Just to tell how the Holy Spirit works. Some people call it your conscience, but that's kind of like your Holy

SPEAKER_01:

Spirit, too. Yeah. The Holy Spirit is always, always inside of you. Yeah. It never leaves you. It's impossible. But it's if you're listening and doing the things that you need to be doing for it to be at its full potential. It's always there. You can't get rid of it.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay, cool. Let me see. The Holy Spirit's helped us. Oh, okay. So... Yeah, again, the Holy Spirit has helped us, and we pray daily for it to fill our cup. Yeah. We'll probably pray for that tonight. But that's something we nonstop pray for, to keep filling us up. We've gone over the bits where if you're not hearing them, he will come back into your life. But, yeah, again, it's been a great topic.

SPEAKER_01:

It's been

SPEAKER_00:

good. It's been really good. So thanks for watching. Like and subscribe. And I think my nephew subscribed. He's like 10. So it'd be nice to have another subscriber that isn't 10. I'm just kidding. No, but y'all have a great night and God bless you and take care.
