Thank y'all for tuning in tonight. Hey, uh, been an exciting week here. Um, just uh, you know, USC girls basketball team advanced beat uh USC last night, so we showed them who the real USC was. Way to go, Lady Gamecox. Hey, um, tonight's show is gonna be really uh really kind of in-depth. I want to talk about some things uh looking at some of our emails and answering some phone calls I've had recently and messages. Um, you know, it's it's no big secret now with all the advertising that we've been doing on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok. Um, you'll see those of you who follow us will see uh some ads very soon in um local magazines, Lake Murray Magazine, uh Ermo, Chapin'L Life, Lexington Life magazine. So um you're wondering what's he talking about? Well, I had a phone call today from a very good friend of mine in Alabama, and uh I won't mention any names, but he's like, Wes, I see you on um on social media and you're talking about clean slate, and you're seeing these clean slate uh clutter removal ads uh that has um been circulating around, and certainly I've been talking about them, trying to promote our new business. And so uh Preston and my myself, which Preston is my son, for those of you who do not know, um, which I'm very proud of, 23-year-old young man. Uh, tongue tied again. 23-year-old young man graduated college last year from USC Aiken and uh took a bank uh job at a bank. Uh finance has always been his passion, and he's always had the interest of going into banking. Um, but um he and I decided we had some conversations about how we felt like um doing a c a clean slate or a junk removal business could be a good little side hustle. He's um, you know, graduated college now, uh planning his future, and it was certainly a way for us to do something together on Saturdays as a little side hustle, and it's turned into much more than that with the phone calls we get, and and uh I think when you do a good job for people, word of mouth starts to spread. And we have been very blessed uh with the um prayers and help from the good Lord above. So uh just wanted to talk a little bit about that. So, in answer to your question, Bubba, we are uh we are still uh doing Core Scope Enterprises. I'm still very much involved with that, very active in it, and that is what I do through the week. And so uh clean slate clutter removal, folks. Just wanted to talk to you a little bit about it tonight. This is what we do, Preston. Can they see that sign there? So clean slate clutter removal. My son and I started this business, as I said. We're doing uh commercial eviction cleanouts, apartment cleanouts, furniture removal, clutter removal, office cleanouts, uh storage cleanouts, basement cleanouts. We're doing a lot of work right now for some friends of ours who are real estate agents. Um we're also doing some work for uh construction sites. Uh got a couple of attorneys that are using us uh to do some work for them. So it's certainly word of mouth is spread, and the word's getting out that we do a great job, and we're very professional at what we do. So um that's who Clean Slate Clutter Removal is. So if you see the ad and you see me out uh with my son and we're working doing this together, uh the company is um starting to really uh move forward to where we're gonna have to get some employees to help us uh outside of us doing it just on the weekends. So very good problem to have though. Um, like I said, I feel blessed. And when your son wants to do something with you guys, I can tell you if he wanted to make candy apples, um, hey, I'd get involved in a candy apple factory. So uh it's always a pleasure working with him. Uh, my best buddy, my my my one and only son, and um I wouldn't want to do anything without him, and so it's just gives me an a great opportunity to be able to do things with him and to be able to see him grow as an individual and as a person, and um just take on a business opportunity that hopefully one day can be his alone when I'm too old to do it and step aside. So uh which isn't far, folks. All right, no, no laughing. I'm glad I can't hear anybody laughing out there because I know you're probably laughing at that. But no, uh clean slate clutter removal is a business that we started. Uh I still have Core Scope Enterprises, I'm still working with distributors, I'm still working uh with uh folks in the um HVAC industry, and that business is doing very well. So I just wanted to kind of clear the air out there, let folks know that uh that see me doing other things. Hey, it's okay to have other things to do. So uh I enjoy building a business, I enjoy uh the growth opportunities in it, and of course I enjoy doing it with my son, as I mentioned. So just wanted to put that out there. Um and here's a picture of my son and I uh in our clean slate uniforms. So uh put that up a little bit and then um a picture. This is a picture of our truck uh and what we've got running uh up and down the road taking care of our customers on the weekends and things. And um this is a picture of some before and uh after jobs that we've been doing as of late. So uh, but hey, I've always been one uh advocate for great customer service. Doing something right the first time, it goes back to my roots. I was born on a uh in North Carolina, Reidsville, North Carolina, for those of you who do not know. And uh it's a little small town. I grew up from the time I was knee-high uh working in tobacco with my family. Um, my grandfather, my uncles, uh we raised tobacco. And back then, you know, we were always turning the fields when it wasn't tobacco, it was soybean. When it wasn't soybean, it was strawberry. So um just uh my work ethic has always been work hard, um, you know, and it pays off. So at 55 years old, my son and I had the opportunity to start a business. So who wouldn't when you can work with your son and enjoy it? So that's a little bit about clean slate, but we still are doing the podcast. The podcast is going to continue. Had another uh email come in and ask someone to ask, is the podcast gonna continue after uh since you started this other business? Absolutely, of course. We continue to do this, it's something I enjoy, and it also gives me and my son an opportunity to do things together because he is the best editor-in-chief I've ever seen. So uh great job. Um, one of these that if you call me, text me, email me today, I'm gonna get back with you. And I felt like that uh we could take the same mentality with customer service that I have into a business that we can hopefully grow, nurture, and it's something that Preston can do going forward with clean slate clutter removal. So we're just trying to do business the uh the right way, show up looking professional, be on time, and um, you know, offer a service that many, many services out there, as we all know, um, you know, when's when's the last time you got somebody to come do work for you and they call you, you know, 15 minutes after they were supposed to show up and tell you you're they're running late. Well, duh. So we try to be on time. Um, so but other than that, uh just wanted through to throw that out there because uh I think some folks have been confused that maybe I didn't um you know wasn't doing core scope anymore, which isn't the case. I still enjoy that day to day up 5.30 in the morning, going at it until sometimes late in the evening, two o'clock in the morning. So uh that occupies 99.9% of my time. And what we're doing, my son and I is more of a hobby, and uh, you know, the um it's uh opportunity also that we have found, and just just some of the things that we have uh run across on a couple of the jobs already are exciting. We uh my wife and I did a job uh for a neighbor the other day, and we found actually a little Debbie doll baby, um, one of the first little baby Debbie ball dolls that was uh in the box, and we found all kinds of neat little toys that were still in the box, a singer um sewing machine for a kid back in the day. And so uh just neat items, crystal items we found. So uh found out just get getting into this and doing the work, getting paid for it's nice, but also finding some really neat gems out there and some some rare items, uh, a lot of numbered paintings we found. Um, so it's kind of becoming more of a hobby for us and something I look forward to. But um just wanted to put that out there, folks, let you know who we are and uh what we're doing. And so look up next time you have a clutter job or springtime's coming around and you don't want to get out there and clean out that garage. Uh, and that's just the way I like to do things. So we show up professional wearing, you know, clean cut shirts, clean truck. Um, and we really do have a desire to make sure the customers are happy on every job. So hope that kind of cleans the clears the air up a little bit about that. But um, tell us uh what you think about it. Um, you know, we'd love to hear uh some stories from any of you guys out there that do uh junk removal business or clutter removal business. Um, you know, the show we've in the past we talked about, hey, we're gonna talk about every industry uh out there. We're gonna talk about plumbing, we're gonna talk HVAC, we're gonna talk electrical, industrial.
