Let's get into it. So the SEC tournament bracket, it's available. We're gonna dive into it. So we're gonna pull it up and we're gonna get right to it. Let's go. But first and foremost, do you want to talk about kind of how things finished for the season? You go.

I mean, congratulations to South Carolina for sure. Um, I thought the SEC was in phenomenal this year. It was phenomenal basketball. It was so exciting to watch. Um, it was fun to cover it. Like, you know what I mean? I'm super excited to cover the tournament. Um, even the Big Ten and the ACC, like, I just feel like it's really just been good basketball, like all around. Yeah. Um, so I'm I'm excited to get into the tournaments. I'm excited to get into March Madness. And honestly, I'm a little bit sad that it's almost over.

Same, same. Like, I don't feel a way about it. But I will say, we talk about like this is some of the best basketball we've seen. I will tell you, I just really truly think that the transfer portal has been a great thing for it being spread out. And absolutely. I mean, you know what I'm saying? I know people hate it. I'm cool if people do say, like, hey, we need to change some type of rule as far as you know, maybe you get one free. I'm cool with that. You know what I'm saying? As far as building a program, but from the spectator side, it's been lit.

Like, I mean, especially with with women's basketball, it's helped so much with women's basketball and just kind of like spreading out the the talent, you know what I mean? Because when we were coming up, like the girls will go to the same schools, year after year after year after year. Literally, you know what I mean? Um, so it's it's nice to see that like spread out across the board, but even at the mid-major level too. You know what I mean? So um, I love that. And even I like seeing the girls that start at the mid-major and end up transferring up and just seeing like I love that. I love that transition and that growth to see them successful at the mid-major, but also being successful at that next level too.

Yeah, and we've seen vice versa too, because it's like some of the players that I've looked up, like as far as who's on the mid-major level now, they might have came from a bigger school. But and I I think that goes to show like what I have talked about as far as like, okay, cool, I got a chance to go to Alabama. It's the SEC. Where am I gonna line up in the SEC? Am I gonna come out of it? You know what I'm saying? Or versus, do I want to go to a team like Murray State? Because that one girl, the uh one of their top scorers came from Indiana. Right. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, hey, look, she's 26 and 3. Look what you look what you've done there at their program. Hey, I heard I heard a little T today. I heard some of them kids, and this is crazy. I don't know how true this is or not. I believe it though, with this program. I heard some of them kids at Murray State got 100,000. Oh. Yeah. I I I wouldn't surprise it, wouldn't surprise me if it's true. Because I know they men's program, how under the table they used to be when we was in school. Oh, yeah. Girls in my school too. Super under the table. Yeah. So exactly. So, I mean, if they're doing that, I mean they invest it somewhere, I'll tell you that. Right, right.

But uh you know what? I love to see it. Invest in your women's programs, especially at those men's major levels, because sometimes they go unnoticed.

Auburn, Texas AM. Texas AM. I'm going with Texas AM. Just because I like the way Mississippi State and Texas AM, I like the last few games I've watched with them. I felt like they was been kind of battling a little bit. You know what I'm saying? So I like that part of it. Um, then we got Alabama and Missouri. I like Alabama.

Yeah, let me hold on, I'm gonna pull that up real quick. But recent these these seasons be going by so fast, honey. They do. Uh but I will tell you though, if that one was one. No, Georgia beat Kentucky. I'm trying to, oh, 72 to 67. That was they first, I think that might have been Georgia's uh that might have been one of the first games Georgia won against the ranked team.

And that's crazy because they shot it, they shot it pretty well. Yeah, I don't know. I feel like UK is just playing really good right now.

Um I I'm gonna go with, I'm still going, I'm gonna stay with Kentucky. I'm still going with Kentucky too. But if that one is an upset, I wouldn't be shocked. Right. I mean it's eight and nine, so I mean like uh it could really go either way.

I feel like with right, but I feel like with Kentucky, like I feel like Kentucky's role players, like Hassett has turned it on the last few games. Oh, she can't. The shooter. She's turned it on, Boone has turned it on. I feel like if Tony Morgan can give more and play better basketball in this tournament, that's going to be beneficial for Kentucky.

I say earlier, like, I know I had mentioned Kentucky before, but like, you know, if Kentucky can shoot well throughout this tournament, I I tell you right now, they I feel like they got a chance of making it pretty far in this tournament. They have the ability to knock down those shots. I'm talking about all five of them on the floor. You get what I'm saying? They're staying, they're they're gonna be right there in the game. And yeah, yeah, I I don't know. I don't know. I'm I'm gonna go with Kentucky though, for sure. I like them too. I like them to get to Friday. To get to Friday. What's Friday? That's game what? Um, and by girls, I know it's another one hurt, but I think it was Silva. I think that's what that was her last name. But she was a huge contribution or a huge piece of this team.

I feel like if these girls don't come out, if they are capable just a little bit, even if they 75%, if they don't come out at 75%, that's kind of like giving up. You get what I'm saying? I feel like she's coaching up as far as, you know, you gotta find it. Like we say, you gotta find it. I think that she's in her head, she still thinks that she has a chance. You get what I'm saying? She may not. I don't know. But I'm saying, like, I think that she's a competitor at the end of the day. I think that she probably thinks she's a good thing.

Um, so I just think that old miss is gonna be a lot more prepared. Um, and for Texas, I mean you're playing uh you play depending on who plays, you played an injured Ole Miss team. That's true, you know what I'm saying? Um, so you you didn't even get them probably at their full best self or team. So um, like I said, I I guess I'm banking on them maybe being back, um, them getting some rest and getting healthy. Um so we'll see. We'll see.

But I so when you talk about you think that they're gonna be prepared, I don't think that they're never not prepared. Who always? Yeah, I think that preparation ain't never really been a problem, even the last few games. I think it's just you gotta find it. Like, I think it's injuries, I think it's you know what I'm saying? It's just unfortunately for them, it's been kind of like a little downward spiral. But I mean, it just depends on like, are you defeated? You get what I'm saying? Like, and that's probably what she's talking about in practice. Are you defeated? Are we defeated? Do you know, you know, the mind games. I mean, if y'all want to just go ahead and just forfeit the tournament and not and not show up.

Like taking candy from a baby from that steal on the last play. You get what I'm saying? Look at Jelani Cambridge, you know what I'm saying? Michaela, like a different level of ball comes out of you. So I think that she's capable of that, yes, but she needs help. Her being capable, she needs help. So I think she needs help. Absolutely. So there's that. Um, moving on. Uh Alabama, Tennessee.

They were a different team. Um, so just seeing how they're they're playing right now, they have spurts where they play well.

Um they play good basketball Sunday against Vanessa. They did. But they did. They it's the is they only got about three, two and a half quarters in them.

Um, and then also they just went on these spurts. Like they had one at the end of the second quarter where they didn't score the last three minutes of the game or of the second quarter. And then even the fourth quarter, it was a moment there where it was like they didn't score at all, like the first four minutes of the quarter.

You know what I'm saying? So you get them shooting well first and second half, it's gonna be a game regardless. And like you said, everybody having Claire Strap, on top of having like a seven foot wingspan combined with all of them out there. Like, yeah, you get what I'm saying? Like, they have the pieces. And I will say this too about Kentucky in the beginning of the season, I thought they were just soft.

I think they got good role players, but I think for them, they need everybody to do it. Now, if I want the accolades to go ahead and come out, because you said you like we said, your girl might try to go for Caitlin Clark's record. It's her first SEC championship. You know what I'm saying? I don't want her to come doing too much, get the ball to beers, and then there we go. Um, but on the other side, the big three, you got Lei. It's her first time coming back. You know what I'm saying? She should feel a way too. She should feel a certain type of, she should get a certain type of vibes too. I feel like she's playing good basketball from where she's at. You get what I'm saying? Like, yeah. She got a chip on her shoulder, being on the opposite side, you know, in Greenville. Her, you got Michaela Williams, who she's turning it, but turning it on. I won't, I won't fly. Fly, I want Big Foe to, I want her mindset to change as far as this is the time for me to it. Don't none of this other shit don't matter. The last few games, it's time for me to do it. No distractions. That's what I'm saying. None of this matters. It's time for me to lock in. Lock in. Yeah, for sure. I'm still gonna go with LSU. I'm gonna go with LSU too. Um close game.
