Hi there! My name is Star Jackson, and welcome back to my podcast. If you'd like to know more about me, please feel free to check out my website at www.starjacksonvo.com. In today's podcast, we will be yapping all about motivation. It can be hard to have a dream and to stick to it and to keep motivated. With everything that life throws at us, how could it not? In today's motivational yapping, we're gonna chat about dreams and some things I even tell myself to keep going. One of the hardest things about dreams is putting them into action. We think, we ponder, we dream, but truly acting on them can be so difficult. Time, money, passion, willpower? I know it's more easier said than done, but no more getting into your own head. Around here, we won't allow our dreams to just be dreams. Even on the days when they feel so out of reach. Cause why not? You deserve the best. You deserve to be happy and truly live, cause why not? You deserve the best. You deserve to be happy and to truly live, and to show the process to your friends, peers, family, and everyone around you to show that it is possible. Because it is, because you will make it happen. We take action, take risks, and take chances. If you keep trying again, again, and again, it's going to happen. Wipe the tears, reflect and push harder. Keep going. You're not alone, because I'm right there with you. No matter how long it takes, do what you love and live it authentically and have some fun. And I promise you, the results will pay you handsomely. Whether you've been chasing or achieving your dreams for days, months, or years, your journey is your journey. No one else's. Some may start off hot and ready, while other ones may have a cool simmer, like me. They are uniquely and beautifully you. Trust me, I get it. I've been there so many times. Sometimes still there. And it's so hard not to be able to do that. And not to be swamped by imposter syndrome because life gets tough. But I've realized we're tougher. Because guess what? We're human, and it's totally normal and it's totally okay to have bad days and really good days. And it can be hard to struggle and push through. But what I find so beautiful about life is that even though the bad times will come and they can really test our limits, it welcomes the good times. Whenever I feel like this, I usually tell myself things like this to snap my brain back out of that mindset. Because sometimes when you're in a negative standpoint, it can be hard to get out of that. So I talk to family, friends, and really write down how I feel, and it really helps. And I try not to stay and stick with that mindset and really down myself by thinking more negative thoughts. Positive thinking and things that make me happy really help too. Doing hobbies, hanging out with family, going out for a walk, even when you don't feel like it, honestly truly helps. So if you're listening to this and you're not feeling the best, try something different. Try something you wouldn't ever do. Or try something new. Try something that you've done, haven't done for a while and you really want to do. And I promise you, you'll feel so much better. And it may even give you a little bit more motivation. Every single day you push through, every single time you do something that you do to strive towards your dreams and hopes, they all add up. Each and every one. Whether it be as small as you practicing your your craft or your hobby or your dream or whatever it may be, to something as big as getting an award or a payment or a praise for landing a big gig. The fact is, you tried. You took the initiative and you did that. And you should be proud. Seriously, you're doing awesome, okay? Give yourself some credit. Give it time, try, learn, and have some freaking fun. Always be the best you you can be. Put your best foot forward and everything will fall into place. I promise you. You are strong, you are resilient, you are capable, you are unique, you are talented, and you are worthy. You can do this. Instill affirmations like this and more in yourself every day, especially when the negative thoughts start creeping in. There's nowhere to go but up, so you might as well give it a shot. This will probably be one of, if not one of, the most hardest experiences you will ever have to go through in your life. Juggling work, school, relationships, family, friends, finances, mental and physical health, and quite frankly, just trying to live. Life can be a lot for one person to handle, let alone going for something that you've literally dreamed of having your whole life. Or just started. The constant cycle of wash, rinse, and repeat can drive anyone up the walls, especially when it feels like you're not seeing progress. But progress is progress. Every time you get up and try is another step closer to your dream. Even if it feels like it's slipping through the cracks, snatch and grab hold of it again. Reset your mind and keep going. I know it's easier said than done, but that's why it is essential to not only switch this train of thought, but to make actions on how to prove it. Push past your limits and use them to create a better future for yourself. Surround yourself with your people, your community, and live each other throughout the good, the bad, and the brilliant. If something isn't working, try something else. Adapt, change, and move like the wind. Once you find what works, stick with it and expand on it. And if you find yourself not liking it or not having fun anymore, then try again. Rest when you feel burnt out and reset when you need it. Especially if you haven't been able to practice your craft in a while. Sometimes the spark may subside and you lose the motivation, maybe due to imposter syndrome, finances, time, or whatever the case may be. But I'm here to tell you you can do it. Even if it takes years or even decades. If you love it, never give up. Do whatever you have to to survive first. Then, when it's time, when you're able, jump back in like you never left and go hard. During these times where you have to take a break, always have that in the back of your head. Keep thinking about how amazing it's going to feel when you accomplish these things, small or large. Lift your head up high. Yeah, do it now. Lift it up high. Now, put a smile on that face. You got this. You are doing amazing. Now, I know it can get hard. Real hard to keep going. But no matter what what's going on in your life, whether that's struggling to find a balance, pushing through your schedules day in and day out, just to accomplish one thing or many, most, or even one of your goals. Or hell, even trying to figure out what your goals are. You are doing great. You got up today. You took it upon yourself to try. You are, am, and will accomplish whatever you put your mind to because you can do it. Don't give up. You will produce the results you desire in life. You will find your desire in life. Because your hard work is paying off. Even if you can't see or aren't happy with the results right this second, you are making progress. Give it time. As long as you try, you are doing great. Try hard, give it your all, and give it your very best. And good things are bound to flourish for you. I'm proud of you. Keep going. You got this.
