Coming from a family of florists — he grew up working in his father’s flower shop — Iversen reimagined floristry not as mere decoration but as design material.Under his direction, TABLEAU merges floral art with spatial design, object design, set design and curated exhibitions, blurring boundaries between art, design and nature. More than a florist, he sees himself as working in the “grey zone” between art and design — sourcing global collaborators, and curating talent. In this episode of our podcast, we speak with Julius Værnes Iversen, Founder & Creative Director of TABLEAU, about nature as a design language, the emotional impact of colour, and why community is key to creativity.
Thank you for listening! See you in Copenhagen for 3daysodesign 9 - 11 June 2027.
