Washed and Winning
Washed and Winning is the unapologetic voice of the people — raw, real, and rooted in Georgia pride. Hosted by Morehouse alums A.C. Lee and Parlay Pete, this podcast brings sharp takes, barbershop talk, and authentic conversation to the forefront. Whether we’re breaking down the highs and heartbreaks of the Atlanta Falcons, celebrating the dominance of the Georgia Bulldogs, or just meeting folks where they are — we’re speaking for the culture, not at it.
Tired? Maybe. Washed? Sure. But still winning.
Washed and Winning
Are the Falcons finally for real—or just lucky this time?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Two chili-slaw dogs and a field goal later, we ask the only question that matters in Atlanta: did the Falcons finally turn the corner, or did they leave the door cracked for old ghosts? We break down the Washington win with receipts—why the offense looked alive under Zach Robinson, how London and Pitts changed leverage, and where the late-game management still missed a two-score ceiling. Then we set the table for Bills-Atlanta on Monday night and call it what it is: a statement chance with extra prep against a defense you can move.
From there, we zoom out. Special teams swung games all weekend, and we lay out why that exposes head coaches who can scheme a script but can’t run a full program. We talk QB chess—when a team should pick up the red phone, what Cousins, bargain vets, or youth upside actually buy you, and why price matters as much as ceiling. College football gets a blunt review: Georgia’s loss to Alabama feels like a pattern, not a blip; coordinator dependence and fourth-down stubbornness don’t beat blue bloods. We spotlight the few QBs whose poise is outpacing the hype.
NBA media day brings its own storm—Kawhi’s creditor subplot, owners’ “donations,” and rankings that lowball two-way guards. We unpack the Warriors’ asset math, Embiid’s health cloud, and what real development vs. showcase looks like. And then the most urgent segment: the WNBA’s growth meeting its books. We parse the commissioner’s comments, her Deloitte pedigree, and why players are right to push back while the balance sheet still matters. Shorter TV deals, real revenue splits, and escalators tied to actual growth—this is how you scale without selling tomorrow. On-court, we spotlight Jackie Young’s surge, A’ja’s inevitability, and the role players who swing a five-game series by three possessions.
We close with our card: a targeted college six-pack and an NFL slate grounded in matchups, travel, and coaching—no fluff, just edges. If you’re here for clarity, not clichés, hit play and ride with us. Then tell us what we got wrong, what we nailed, and whether the Falcons are contenders or just better impostors. Subscribe, share, and drop your take in the replies.
Cold Open, Food, and Banter
SPEAKER_02I don't see it, Lee.
SPEAKER_06What don't you see?
SPEAKER_02Oh, never mind. Now he it came up and then he stopped it.
SPEAKER_06What? The countdown?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Nah, it went a whole 30 seconds.
SPEAKER_02Oh. Well, here we are, guys.
SPEAKER_06Welcome back. Bro, we got we gotta figure out like an intro. Um maybe I'll be drop the record. Are we gonna use the one that we got? I don't see why not. Okay. Uh yeah, next week we'll add that in there and we'll just allow that to lead into the song, into the show. Hey, Parli P, how you doing, man?
SPEAKER_02Just finding the Lord. Um, how about you?
SPEAKER_06You know, I'm chilling, man. Uh had a pretty good day. Um, fairly productive. Uh you know, went to one of my favorite local restaurants for lunch today. Had me uh two uh chili uh chili uh slaw dogs, spicy chili, a fry and a sweet tea. Just slap went crazy. Yeah, yeah, crazy on the glizsies, dose, dose, those glizzies.
SPEAKER_02I mean you might want to hit the kung fu kenny.
SPEAKER_06Oh, oh no, man. I'm talking about actual hot dogs. No kung fu kenny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I know, but you said you had two look. I I'm just telling you how it sounds. That's all. I I didn't mean nothing by it, you know. I just I don't know.
SPEAKER_06I mean, you know, pick your side and stay on it, you know.
SPEAKER_02I am, I am, you know. Nothing wrong with the good dog, though.
SPEAKER_06I mean, you know, uh our government's not open today, but I'm not gonna open with politics, guys. This isn't a political show.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. But still, nothing like two good dogs, you know. We didn't have any good dogs on Saturday, and we'll get into that a little bit later, but those guys. How we doing? We're doing good. Uh got a little bit of good news on my end, business wise, so that's always you know a plus. But um that's good to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think things are starting to finally uh the the pendulum is starting to swing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that's good. That's good. Uh what kind of pasta did I make today? I made a steak Alfredo with four cheese uh ravioli. Getting fancy over there, aren't we? Bro, I haven't made pasta in forever and I just needed it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So you're more of an Alfredo guy than a spaghetti person.
SPEAKER_06I did spaghetti last week, but I I didn't make my sauce myself. I used some sauce that I had here and it just didn't feel the same. And even though making Alfredo sauce is super easy, I still like to make my own sauces.
SPEAKER_02What about a little rigatoni? A rigatoni! What's your I tell you what, what's your favorite pasta?
SPEAKER_06Are you talking about like noodle?
SPEAKER_02No, just in general, it could be any any pasta. Like for me, it's lasagna. Like lasagna is my favorite. If it's gonna be one that I eat, I love lasagna.
SPEAKER_06So I don't know what it's called, but it's this restaurant in Pacific Grove, California, and they do this rabbit pasta. And it's one of the best pastas I've ever had in my life. Uh Cindy and I used to uh get carryout from there all the time during COVID. Yeah. And and like that was that was like our spot, bro. That like that shit's amazing.
SPEAKER_02And it was a rabbit pasta.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Sounds good. That sounds like something I'd eat.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, bro. Like that that's the one thing uh I miss about living in Monterey. Uh especially the there's just good food. I'm not even gonna say especially the Italian food. Uh there was just a lot of good food there because for those of you who don't know, it's a rich people tourist town in California. So the dining is A1. And when I lived there, I made a lot of money, so I could afford to eat the fine dining.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, especially if you're getting it. I get it this year, COVID, but take out.
SPEAKER_06I mean, the place was like a mile from my house, so I could like set I could set up the the in-home date night with the candles and all of that stuff.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, set the table, flowers, bottle of wine. Hey, exactly. Hey, hey, niggas doing the pour, but then giving it and like like letting it squish around, and then they she has to taste it first, right? Swish it in her mouth, and then she comes up and then you pour the rest. Like, that's how we're doing it.
SPEAKER_06Well, yeah, and we're really trying to finish the date night part so we can start drinking the whiskey.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then from there, you know, finish the date night. But um, let's just get into that. This is a PG 13 show. Um, anyways, uh, I guess let's go ahead and get into how was your weekend?
SPEAKER_06How was your week, dog? Like, let like we let's do something here before we just get in the Falcons first.
SPEAKER_02My God.
Weekend Recaps & Date-Night Stories
SPEAKER_02Well, that's kind of a part of the weekend. Uh, that's certainly on the tail end of it, but um, I had a good weekend. I mean, I was with my daughter. Um, I had not had her for two weeks, so because I went to the fight two weeks ago, and then last week was her mom's week. And so um, yeah, it was good to, you know, have her. We we hung out, um, watched a couple movies, made some pizza. Um swimming lessons. Oh, yeah, swimming lessons, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Nah, you were dadding it up, man.
SPEAKER_02Uh shout out to you, but uh just hey, just another, just another day.
SPEAKER_06Hey man, I had a uh I had a I had a good local village uh weekend, you know. Me and uh VJ, we stepped out, Village Vets. You know, record live on Mondays. We uh went to a birthday party, uh, had an after party after. It was it was man, let me tell you what.
SPEAKER_02Wasn't Todd's baby shower this weekend, or was that last week?
SPEAKER_06Uh that was that was last weekend.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and great baby shower. Shout out to Todd. We're looking forward to T3 getting here. Uh but Terminator.
SPEAKER_02I'm still that that's what they call it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I know. I remember going to Disney World actually when T3 Terminator was a thing and uh doing the whole little experience, you know, where they rock you around in the chair and all that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you see a robot, you know, with the it because they're they're basically bone robots, right? With red eyes, yeah.
SPEAKER_06I mean, and that's what we're dealing with now with AI, but that's a conversation for another day. But nah, man, we had a good time, dog. It was nice to uh to to to to to reach out and touch the community and be around some people, get some love for the show and the movement, and shout out to those people. Uh, yeah, some of y'all we're gonna book for the show, and honestly, some of y'all that we say we are, we ain't, but you know who you are when you don't get booked.
SPEAKER_02Right, it'll show up there. Then it all culminated this weekend with uh football on Sunday and a lot of questions that we had going into Sunday, kind of knowing what we we knew was gonna happen or should happen, but because this is the Atlanta Falcons, you just don't know.
SPEAKER_06Uh yeah, and when you have guys like uh Zach Robinson calling your plays, you just really never know. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02But hey, guys like Zach Robinson, and then you got a fan base where several my bad.
SPEAKER_06I didn't mean to cut you off, big dog. I apologize, OG.
SPEAKER_02No, you're good. Um, but then you got a fan base coming into town that's there's plenty of those transplants that do live here, yeah. Um and they're you know the commanders, the Redskins are command, yeah. The Redskins are you know, one of those original NFL franchises. So um you never know how that's gonna be, but according to you, because disclaimer, people, I did not go to the game because I wasn't swimming practice or swimming lessons first, and then I mean I had my daughter, and uh it's not gonna work, but she's not gonna want to go to the game. We're gonna have to wait until she's just a tad bit older. I mean, we we could, but like it's not gonna work. And so I get it. Yeah, and you said it was about 65, 35.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and you know, I think that there is a um there's a rivalry amongst the fan base. Like, I don't think the the teams actually have a rivalry, but it's a rivalry with the fans because we're talking about the two most popping black cities in America going a head-head against each other, and it's a place of uh uh uh some would say bougie bougie negroes. Uh, you know, you have your Howard there, you have your your your AUC here. It there's a little tension and rivalry there uh amongst the fans. Uh and I've noticed that in the Washington games because Washington's pretty much been on our schedule uh the last five years since I've yeah, we yeah, we put we play them a lot.
SPEAKER_02We play them a lot. We gone we go there a lot. Yeah, we pretty much play them every year.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, so it was um it was a good time.
SPEAKER_02A time was had, and I think that the idea of sticking it to Dan Quinn and Marcus Mariota, it made things a little bit sweeter. But the bit the but the biggest thing obviously was being two and two heading into your bye week, uh with not only a bye week, but then an extra day of prep for your next opponent, which is the Bills on Monday night football, which can be a statement game similar to us being one and one last year playing the Chiefs, and then we kind of fell short in that game. But um, but they should but but we showed promise, and everybody saw hey, you know, they're kind of right here. Like they're maybe next year, and next year is now upon us, and that's why that game is gonna be so important.
SPEAKER_06And and and let's let's focus on last week. It was also a tryout for Zach Robinson. You know, I I don't want you guys to think that because the Falcons won the offense had a bit more of a kick that we we still want Zach Robinson to be our offensive coordinator. You know, Tyreek is done Miami, so we know how that season's
Falcons-Washington Breakdown
SPEAKER_06going, okay. But uh Zach Robinson, if if he was trying out for the Oklahoma State head coaching job, he he did a hell of a job. The offense uh had life. We were throwing the ball down the field, we were running the piss out of the football, using a two-headed monster. Drake London looked like Drake London. Kyle Pitts was clutch. It was the Falcons' offense that we want to see every week, and that we wish Zach Robinson would show us every week, and uh that would make us want to keep him and not send his ass to Oklahoma State and still walk.
SPEAKER_02It it was everything that we knew that the Falcons' offense was capable of. I mean, again, you start talking about this is an offense that's got currently healthy seven first-rounders, eight, if Caleb McGarry didn't go out on it. You know, there's only 11 positions on the field, guys, at once. And the idea that you've got eight first-round picks on your team and you drafted all of them, yeah. I mean, we should start to see some sort of, you know, something that resembles a high octane offense, especially when those positions that are first round are your triplets, your quarterback, running back, wide receiver, not to mention non-first round picks that are on the team, like a Tyler Algier, who's a thousand-yard back in his own right, Darnell Mooney, a thousand-yard receiver in his own right. You expect to kind of see this type this type of stuff. And so I'm just glad that they didn't wet the bed. I don't like that they kind of it felt like they let up a little. You got to get that stop on that fourth down where Debo catches that ball, and then you got to stop the two-point conversion, too. They should have won that game by two touchdowns.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and that was the thing, man.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to be nitpicky, but you know what I'm saying? But that's really what this is. They they should have won that game by two touchdowns.
SPEAKER_06Well, I think it's okay to be nitpicky because we are looking at the Falcons as a playoff team, not a team just trying to make the playoffs. And the things that matter in the big picture is is closing the door early when you can, you know. Like, don't leave that door open because the not only is it just not smart from a football point of view, but we're a fra excuse me, we're a franchise that has demons. And I believe those demons will uh they they will show themselves because when it when they got the touchdown and then they got a two-point conversion, like yeah, yeah, yeah. So like I'm telling you, like in the in the building, buttholes get tight. It's like, are we actually gonna drive down and get points? Oh, yeah, we drove down, we got the field goal, okay. Like, game's over. But there was no confidence that we were gonna drive down because I've seen three and outs in these situations.
SPEAKER_02You gotta it in a weird way, you don't want to force it too much, but you gotta almost play it as if you're the team down in that situation. Not that it's tied and you need to try and score to win the game. No, no, no, no, no. You need to tie it like you're down, like you're down three at a minimum. You want seven because if you put you put up seven, it puts way more pressure on them and of course automatically ends the game. Because even in their defense, right? Let's say you know, we kick that field goal, let's say that they got down the field in 30 seconds and kicked the field goal and then got the onside kick. Now what? Or or a broad blown coverage, touchdown, now they're down three, getting the onside kick. And then, oh fuck it, because this is just the way the analytics work. Then they go for two, they get it, now it's a two-point game, and now you're at risk of losing the game.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you know, and you're still trying to bleed clock while moving the ball, and you get so caught up on bleeding clock that you don't move the ball, or you get so caught up on uh moving the ball that you don't bleed clock, and that's the scary thing about the Falcons and just our history as a franchise.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. But what what are we grading this performance overall? Not just the offense. I thought the defense also got some pressure on Mariota. Again, there's a couple times he made some plays. And I know that in a football game, you're not gonna be perfect. I don't expect the Minnesota performance every week, but and and let's and let's be honest.
SPEAKER_06Mariota is a pro. Mariota is a is a top-tier athlete at the quarterback position, and he has a live arm. He's not consistent, which is why he's not a starter, but his his his ceiling is a really good NFL player, so he's gonna make plays.
SPEAKER_02That that, and then, of course, with him, he's played a lot of football. You know what I mean? This is a dude that was a starter for about five years, you know. Then he became a backup and played a little in Oak, uh, not Oakland, Vegas, and then of course, obviously started for us here. He played a lot of football. He was in Philly two years ago, then in Washington the last two years, and has had to play in games with with both teams because guys got hurt.
SPEAKER_06And so look, let me tell you what I told the fans, though. I told the Washington fans, I'm like, look here, I've seen Marcus in this building. He likes to throw the ball to the other team. Trust me, Marcus, great guy from all accounts. I saw him on quarterback. Um, amazing. Loved him. But Marcus, he's a double agent. So I promise you, he's gonna give us a chance. And shout out to Xavier Watts. Rook already got two interceptions in four games. Uh pick him off. Because Marcus is gonna give us one, he can't help himself.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Marcus, Marcus Mariota is like the like the late great Dennis Graham said, they are who we thought they were, and that he is who we thought he was. But we a guy that's a backup in this league that you know he might jerk you off a little bit, but at the end of the day, you're not, he's not gonna let you, you're not gonna get the bust. It's true. You can't bust off the jerk off. He's gonna jerk you, but he's not gonna let you bust.
SPEAKER_06Ooh, we and and keeping his PG 13. Uh, did you see that we have the uh what's the best uh yards per play or yards per game in the NFC?
SPEAKER_02I'm like that. Yeah, yeah. It's it's and again, I mean, coming into this week, and let me tell you too, actually, before we get into that, what makes this even more upsetting is the fact that Carolina got their doors blown off by a New England team that at best is gonna be, you know, middle of the pack. And they, you know, got beat 42 to 6. And you just ask yourself, man, how come we didn't put 42 points on them? I know that the Patriots don't have the offense that we have, they don't have the running back that we have, they they don't have the receivers that we have. The only difference really up there, and I I don't think Drake May is better than Penix, but you know what? If you let somebody like Cal Hurt tell it he is, so let's just go with the national story. Let's say Drake May is slightly better than Mike Penix.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no. We're not let's just say let's just say he is.
SPEAKER_06Let's just say Cal Hurt said that Sam Darnold is elite.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then that's when we get up and um we do the Mike Tomlin when he just kind of turned his head and left GIF. We do the LeBron James picking up his briefcase with the shorts on suit, how he just picks up and gets out. That's what we do when we hear stuff like that. We have fine.
SPEAKER_06Don't forget one of the best ones, the Russell, the Russell Westbrook. What?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, he got that. He's like, What are you talking about, bro? He's like, he's like, bro, you're tripping. Like, yeah, that's another good one. Um there's a lot of gifts that we could use in this scenario, but um, yeah, you know, it just so it it's it's it's one of those things where we don't put too much stock into it. But my point is they scored 42, they beat them 42 to 6. 13 terrible football team. Carolina is 42 to 13. Carolina's the second worst team in the NFL. Oh, so the Titans are the worst. Oh, by far. You you heard the quarterback. Man, look, yeah, and he a but he's got to tell the truth. It's not a we, it's a you. I mean, it's all y'all. It's collective, but you're the you're the you're the leader of the ass.
SPEAKER_06You know what I mean? I mean, he said we, so he, you know, he took accountability. He part, he's part of the ass.
SPEAKER_02But he's a he's a big part of that ass, though. You know what I mean? He's he's one of the whole cheeks. The rest of the team can be the other cheek. He he's he's he's a big part of the ass. He is, it's true. They're terrible. But Carolina's next in line. I mean, I I think you said that to me earlier, they talked about how um an anonymous scout essentially said, like, he's just not a good football player. Like, Bryce Young is not a good football player.
SPEAKER_06Like, yeah, he just looks good against the Falcons where he where he's three and one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that those are half of his wins in this league. So, you know, and we we historically we make a lot of guys look good.
SPEAKER_06Hey, it's a new day. We got Coach Ra.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't have any. I tell you what, Ra didn't fuck it up. Uh, he didn't let Dan Quinn get the best of him because there was a picture of him hugging DQ, and I think this was after they like lost last year, and we got basically got eliminated from the playoffs, essentially. And he just embraced him, and it was just like, I get that that's your guy. Like, I get that. I really I understand it. Your friends first, competitors second. I understand that. But uh, not the time, Ra. Just like him, that picture of him smiling, dapping up whoever it was on Carolina. It's just not the time for all that. You just gotta shut out 30 to nothing. I I don't you know if you're the winner, if you're the winner, by all means go up and do that shit. But when you get blown out, nah, let's let's head, you know how in the NBA, and I know they play 82 games, but how in the NBA the coaches they don't even sometimes they won't even fucking they'll just do the wave and just head to the lock. Because that's what you should do when you're getting your ass blown out. You're getting beat like that. Because typically those games aren't close when they do that. So they just go to the locker room because it's time to talk about it and figure out well, what are we gonna do, guys? Because I don't know what the hell that I just saw.
SPEAKER_06It's not a player problem, it's a coaching problem, you know. Ain't that what Dabo
Falcons’ Offense, Zach Robinson Audit
SPEAKER_06said?
SPEAKER_02Well, we'll get to Dabo. Well, Dabo didn't even play this week, so they didn't lose, which is a plus for Clemson, but we'll get to college a little bit later. But uh, I mean, all in all, I'm giving it a B plus. I thought that there was still room for um and just in general, they should have beat a backup quarterback without their top receiver. They should beat them by two scores.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I mean, there was some some offensive stagnation through the middle part of the game uh that we've seen uh we've seen that week to week. But uh, hey, I mean, you know, Penix was airing it out, and and he and Zach like it better with uh Zach on the sideline. Yeah, been here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He had 300-yard passing yet day, two touchdowns. Uh Drake London obviously got activated. It was good to see him because I was starting to think maybe he's just still not healthy after whatever happened in week one. That's what it kind of appeared like. Uh because obviously on week two we knew he was hurt, and then week three, we just didn't see anything. So then it's like, all right, are these guys hurt? Darnell is still clearly hurt, yeah. Um, which could hopefully with this bye week and then the extra day, he's ready to pop his shit. Um that's a that and here's the best part about that Bills game. That's a defense we can move the ball. We can move the ball on the Bills.
SPEAKER_04Oh, absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Hell, the Saints were giving them a little bit of a scare until the fourth quarter. So we should be, and that was in Buffalo. We should be able to move that ball at home against that defense. Lamar, they put up 40. And I know we're not them, but I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_06The Saints are a well-ran organization.
SPEAKER_02This is where we do that TikTok where everybody shows to their mom or whatever, they're like, here's my friend, and then they're like, hey, and then the girls look and then they just bust out laughing. That's that's basically what I was gonna do to you there, because no, the Saints are not a well-ran organization, they have had their moments, certainly, with Drew Brees and Sean Payton. Without Drew Brees and Sean Payton, it doesn't look like a very well-ran organization.
SPEAKER_06I I mean, you know, Mickey Loomis was there. You know, maybe maybe it's the absence of Terry.
SPEAKER_02Maybe they immediately, I mean, they were already trending towards Cap Hill, but maybe he think about it. Is Terry the capologist at this point?
SPEAKER_06I mean, he got us out of Cap Hill.
SPEAKER_02He did, he did, and and now look, he's got roster. You know those bacon dog treats that smell good? Yeah. Now he's got a bag of those and he's waving it around to the Cincinnati Bengals. And he's like, he's like, I know you want this expensive treat, boy. So who knows? Kirk Cousins might be on his way out. We'll see. I think after what we've seen the last two games out of the Bengals, it they have to consider it. Like, there's no way that they just aren't considering it.
SPEAKER_06I mean, yeah, uh they invested way too much into that team to not take a flyer on Kirk Cousins, especially if we're willing to uh pay some of his money.
SPEAKER_02And maybe, and maybe they'll look at it and say, Well, Russ is way cheaper. We can bring him in instead. He's not good, but he might cost less in terms of draft capital as well. Or they could they could I wouldn't go for Jameis. I mean, they could. Both of those guys, think about it. That's the funny part. Both of those guys were in their division last year. And I I like Jameis. I think the fantasy owners want Jameis. Yeah, because you know that Jamar and T, they definitely gonna get the ball. But if you want to win football games, I think Kurt would be the best option for them. If because if Kurt's healthy, he's Burrow obviously has mobility, but like you know, but the Bengals got a really bad O line, too. That offensive line is bad. Yeah, yeah, it's terrible. And again, I know that that's the Vikings and um the Broncos defense that you face back to back weeks, but uh both on the road. But uh, yeah, I don't know. I I somebody's gotta pick up the red phone.
SPEAKER_06Hey man, come get Kurt. He's a small town guy. He doesn't care about the small town guy.
SPEAKER_02Cincinnati's not too far from Atlanta, it ain't that far. I mean, Cincinnati's right there at the Kentucky line and Atlanta to Kentucky. That's probably about a five and a half hour, maybe six hours tops drive. You know what? Let's look at it. And the flight's probably only an hour.
SPEAKER_06You know, I've made that drive to to um Cincinnati. A little bit past Cincinnati. I won't say which part of Ohio, but but close.
SPEAKER_02Uh it's not close to Toledo, is it? No, because Toledo's by water.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, no, no. I wasn't in Toledo.
SPEAKER_02You were a big fan of Toledo in your time when you went there, right?
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, no, we we got Lydia in Toledo. Shout out to Aaron Lady. So uh yeah, Cincinnati is six hours from Cartersville. So seven hours.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's not a that that's the drive from Atlanta to New Orleans. I mean, so it ain't that far. Hey man, you should take that drive to New Orleans. I've done it before. I don't want to do it again. I'll just fly there. I don't want to go through all those parishes and um uh the coast. What do you what do they call that coast again? Um the Gulf Coast? Yeah, the Gulf. Uh well, Gulf of America these days.
SPEAKER_06But um Yeah, it is the Gulf of America. I forgot about that. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_02We want to be politically correct here. Nobody talks about it anymore, you know, but yeah, it is. It's the it's the Gulf of America.
SPEAKER_06But um uh you want to like recap some more of the games from this past week?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because we kind of already have uh traveled our way into it.
SPEAKER_06Um I didn't watch the Monday night games. I was recording village vets and the games.
SPEAKER_02You didn't miss anything.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I know that that's kind of what I was that's what I was putting out there.
SPEAKER_02Our biggest uh games this week were obviously Rams, Colts. I thought that um obviously a fantastic ending to that game. The idea that the Rams were down, uh they tied the game up, uh, they got the ball back. Thankfully, on a uh they had the Colts had two mishaps in that game. They had A.D. Mitchell twice. AD Mitchell, yeah, and so he was the hold on the JT touchdown. Yeah. JT touchdown that could have sealed it for them to win the game, gets called back. They punt first play. Matt slings it to 2-2 at well, 88 yards. I think game over. Hey, hey, Matt, Matt, Matthew Stafford, he he's a problem. He is, but you know what? Here's another person we got to get props to. Daniel Jones is for real this year. He just is, he's for real. That's a team that we we we consider that game in Berlin a W automatically on our schedule. It's no longer an automatic W. I just I was already you know planning to go to the game, and like I um I'm like, yeah, this is gonna be a dub. And it's just like, no, I don't think it is. I don't think I'm not saying it's gonna be a loss, but that game will probably be a pick'em by the time we get there, in terms of who's you know, assuming that both rosters stay healthy, the game's probably gonna be like a pick'em. They might be and actually they might be a slight favorite, they'll probably be one and a half, two and a half, two, or something like that.
SPEAKER_06I mean, because shit, they're three and one, and they played the ram and and they played the rams to the wire, and some could say they. Had uh they outplayed the Rams and they just had crazy mistakes. Like, especially the AD uh touchdown that turned into a touchback.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like that's not even like a whole, that's not like something that just kind of could happen. That's something you don't prepare for at all. And that was like about to be his first touchdown, and and and the jitters got to him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he couldn't uh he couldn't believe it at that point, really, right? Like, um, because I like A.D. Mitchell. Obviously, his time with Georgia, and he went to Texas. I like A.D.
SPEAKER_06Mitchell, but but you know a great thing about him, uh, or for him is that uh Zaire Franklin, uh linebacker for the Colts, he's um he uh goes on Teague's podcast. Uh uh he goes on on 520 in the morning on Tuesdays.
SPEAKER_02Tiki like you said, oh, you said Teague. Yeah. I don't know why I thought you said Tiki.
SPEAKER_06I'm like, whoa. Well, I don't know what Tiki's doing. I don't even want to know a man personally named Tiki. He's a freak.
SPEAKER_02Tiki Tiki loves him some white women, man. Your words, not mine. He does. There's nothing wrong with loving white women. Do you I've had a white girlfriend? I like all women. I'm just saying he just he has a type. What's your type? I don't have a type. You know, a lot of people would say petite, maybe, but like uh, you know, certainly I'm uh more of an upper half
NFC Landscape, Titans & Panthers Rants
SPEAKER_02than bottom half, but I don't discriminate. I I'm fans of all women. I like beautiful. How about that?
SPEAKER_06Okay. I was just curious what your type was and if you wanted to put that out there for our audience, that's all.
SPEAKER_02Come on. If you're beautiful, come on.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so you got a little um what's that a little race shrimmer to you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't got no type. Bad bitches is the only thing that I like. Sure, why not?
SPEAKER_06What were you doing when this came out?
SPEAKER_02Uh watching Josh Holsey get drunk and singing it. Josh was a big Ray Shrimp fan in college. He was. The one where it's like lit, lit, lit. Josh, I mean, you know how Josh is. He's wearing either his uh three-fourths baseball shirt with some khaki shorts, or maybe some jeans. He might have on some jeans, or of course he'll have on like his polo t-shirt.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He might have on Ray Ban, he might have on some Ray Bans or something.
SPEAKER_06You know what I mean? Or you might have on jeans, the polo tee, some Yeezys, and then have the uh polo button up and have and have the the sleeves rolled up.
SPEAKER_02That's newer whole C. That's that's kind of more post-cop post-college whole. I'm talking freshman sophomore jeans.
SPEAKER_06Oh, you're talking you're talking Josh and uh and a polo tee, khakis and chucks, the blue chucks.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, yes, yes. Yeah, the the the the the light navy blue ones, mm-hmm. Because it they're like navy, but they're not like dark, but they're like kind of light, but they're like navy. Yeah, like yeah, yeah, they're not the crypchs.
SPEAKER_06Ray Ray Bans on, yeah, the whole nine. You know, I talked to Josh for about 45 minutes today. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02About what? How how's he doing?
SPEAKER_06Well, I guess I gotta disclose my conversations with my friend with you.
SPEAKER_02I 45 minutes, that's a good little bit of time. I mean, I guess nobody had to work today, but still.
SPEAKER_06Nigga, I talked. Now that's the thing though. Government shutdown, you still gotta go to work.
SPEAKER_02How so?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, no, so like military is expected to go to work. And I'll tell you, we had uh they didn't they didn't have a continuing resolution yet uh for like a day when I was in Albany. And I told my people, I said, hey man, y'all can show up if y'all want to. I ain't respond to no emails, I ain't responding to no phone calls, I ain't getting paid today, I ain't working. What was the post office shut down today? Nigga, I don't know. I ain't go to the post office.
SPEAKER_02There's no way they stopped that stuff delivering mail.
SPEAKER_06My nah, my aunt, her car, she worked at the post office. Her car was gone all day. Like when I left out this morning, she was gone. So I assume she went to work.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06But that's not what we were talking about. We were like recapping the games, and somehow you got to talking about Josh Holsey and and Razor.
SPEAKER_02You said you spoke to him for 45 minutes. All right, anyways, let's move on. Um, what were some other games that were pretty notable? Uh, the Raiders game and the Bears came down to the end, block kick.
SPEAKER_06Um John Gruden's pissed.
SPEAKER_02Why why do you think he's pissed?
SPEAKER_06They ain't practicing enough. It's obvious. All of these block kicks, that's just showing that the kicking teams aren't getting enough time on the field. Because, you know, in the NFL we don't want to practice, and the NBA we don't want to play games. These guys want to make all these millions of dollars, and I support them making millions of dollars, but can you practice and play?
SPEAKER_02Special teams has been a theme, though. It's been an issue, and it's been a theme so far.
SPEAKER_06But and it's also these these Wonder Boy G Wiz offensive play calling coaches that we're falling in love with. Yeah, they can call great plays, but they don't necessarily know how to put all three phases of football together. And we see it with the with the uh Kyle Shanahan teams. There's just a lack of emphasis on special teams. And good teams have good special teams. When the Chiefs are at their best, Harris Harrison Butker is kicking field goals. One of the reasons why Dallas is so scary is because they have a guy who can kick 60 yards comfortably. Yeah, that's scary. Like having good special teams matters with these new kicking rules, having kickers who can kick the ball in the proper zones. That's important. Having kickers who can do proper squid kicks to allow your your your coverage team time to get down there. That's important. Special teams is just as important as offensive and defense.
SPEAKER_02Yep. And speaking of that, you because you brought up Dallas, maybe uh I know that that Bills-Ravens game is so far game of the year, but boy, I mean, Packers Cowboys was can't miss TV. It lived up to the billing. I did hate how NBC kept trying to sell the whole Micah Parsons thing, but like the game itself lived up to the billing. It was back and forth, it was points, it was uh great for fantasy owners like myself because I had both running backs, and fortunately for me, Bo Knicks took some knees at the end of a game for me to win. Because if Bo Nicks didn't take any knees, I would have lost. And so And we really needed you to lose. We don't like three and one. Yeah, I know. And guess what? I get Josh Olsey this week. So, and you know, I'm gonna kick his ass. You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna whip his ass this week.
SPEAKER_06Like, I want to I want to talk some shit in the group text this week about about being the only 4-0 team in our fantasy league. But then I see you, I'm like, hold on, no. Pierce was supposed to get beat. He's supposed to be two and two. Because I really wanted to talk about the malpractice that Julian Turner is trying out here every week. It needs to be discussed.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna send him a deal for Lad McConkey.
SPEAKER_06I mean, what Julian Turner is doing right now is fantasy football malpractice, and he's not good at fantasy football, but this is bad for him. He got beat by Matt Flowers. He's looking like the Tennessee Titans.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I I don't know how else to put it. It's and you know, he never drafts well, but it's even worse when like he's got injuries. Like, think about Joe Burrow went down for him. Yeah, but he had Brock Purdy as his backup, who's also injured. He's just kind of in he's in a tough spot.
Bills Preview & League Storylines
SPEAKER_02So now this week he's gotta start Cartersville's own. Who does not look terrible?
SPEAKER_06I I sent him a deal for Jordan Love, and and you know, he just didn't want to bite. He's not a believer. I mean, I sent him some bullshit. Yeah, but he's saying no pack no. I mean, I sent him I sent him uh love for Jameer straight up. I'm like, dog, you need a quarterback.
SPEAKER_02Well, that would have been malpractice, and you know that that that trade would have actually been vetoed. Y'all would have vetoed that Jordan love for Jameer gives, yeah. Now it'd be one thing if you sent him Jay Love and who's your second running back? Um uh it's not A-chan, is it? He's your first.
SPEAKER_06Oh, uh Tennessee, Tony Pollard.
SPEAKER_02So, and even then, I'd still be like, Man, I don't know. I don't think that's a fair trade.
SPEAKER_06Hey man, look here.
SPEAKER_02Jordan Love you'd have to give him a like a flex player, too. Because Jameer Gibbs is a top five pick.
SPEAKER_06So yeah, but Jordan Love, week to week, is gonna get more points than Jameer Gibbs. Yeah, because he plays the quarterback position. Well, yeah, exactly. And he needs weapons, exactly, and he he needs points, so it's a fair trade. You can't win if you don't score.
SPEAKER_02That's that's true. That's I think you send him over.
SPEAKER_06I think I sent him over uh uh love, I you, and um and uh Kareem Hunt.
SPEAKER_02Wouldn't take it if you gave him love. See, but I you're not worth anything in reality. I cut him.
SPEAKER_06He's gone.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's not worth anything.
SPEAKER_06Um I'm gonna send him love and fucking Tony Pollard.
SPEAKER_02And I hope he'll he'll want he'll want like a flex receiver, but I think he would take that, honestly. I really he actually kind of should. Yeah, yeah, no, he it he should. Just like with Justice, if Justice loses this week, and here's the issue with Justice's team. He's one and three, and he scored 100 points every week. He's just getting bad luck. But if he loses this week, he probably has to trade B. John, like to save the season.
SPEAKER_06Look, Justice, Justice got so lucky that I put, I mean, he got so unlucky that I put Romeo Dobbs in the flex. If Mike Evans doesn't get hurt, he wins.
SPEAKER_02Then he starts Jameson Williams over uh Kenneth Gamewell, who who was who was RB1 for the game because you know Warren's out. He plays him. Kenneth Gainwell had like 28 points.
SPEAKER_06And Jameson Williams gave him like two. Romeo Dobbs had two tubs. He had three. Three, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he had a career day. In a big spot, too, on a Sunday night game. But but that was smart on your end because I'm sure you put him in because you were like, oh man, Cowboys secondary, like Cowboys defense. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_06I was like, Cowboys defense is Swiss cheese, and Romeo Dobbs, he gets open a lot. Like he he misses big plays, but like he makes big plays. He's he's a boomer bust type of guy. And if you pick him the right week, he if you draft Romeo Dobbs, you gotta play him in your flex every week to get the value for him, or you just draft him and you never play him.
SPEAKER_02Or you gotta use him as a hike up in a trade, like something to where somebody like like I'm sure if you tried to trade somebody, Romeo Dobbs, who really needs a receiver this week, they might give you something of value at running back, like a like a low-end flex running back play. If you need a running back, right? Like somebody that has potential to be a RB2.
SPEAKER_06You know, if the locker room watched the show, they would have a key into trying to fuck us on trades.
SPEAKER_02Nobody's fucking me on a deal. I I do the fucking when it comes to to fantasy trade. I'm gonna be the one doing the fucking. I don't get fucked in fantasy.
SPEAKER_06I I win our I I win our trades.
SPEAKER_02I think I won our trade last year because I went to the championship and I needed a quarterback. And that was that was the biggest reason I made the trade. I needed a quarterback. Well, and and I got I got who did you give me? I gave you Terry Jettis. Terry just so happened to have a career year, of course. I gave you I gave you Mike Evans. Yeah, so I still got a receiver in return that to me they he didn't have as good a year as those two, but it wasn't that far off.
SPEAKER_06Well, no, it it was actually, and we talk about this trade entirely too much, but it but it was it was a win-win trade because it it brought hope back to my season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you finished with a winning record, right? Uh damn near if I didn't. Or you were 500 at least, but you started with 0-4. Yeah, I was in the pits. Yeah, yeah, I was in the pits. Yeah, so and I got quarterback. Like, I knew quarterback was gonna be an issue, just like this year with Josh Holsey. Me trading uh whatever DeAndre Swift, a guy that I'm like, oh, he's not even a dude, like for real. And I needed a quarterback, and I got a tight end in the deal.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, when I saw him on your roster, I was like, oh, this nigga's tripping. Uh yeah, I bit off that DeAndre Swift tree last year, never again. But hey, carry us into another game or something because I've got to tinkle. You go tinkle.
SPEAKER_02Uh Aaron Judge just uh took the lead here for the Yankees, but um, we'll get to baseball a little bit later, guys. Yes, we will be talking baseball today. Um but nah, in terms of Sunday, we had a lot of good action that went on. Uh Lions smoked the Browns. Um I gotta pull it up, actually. I don't know why. I'm kind of drawing a blank here on some of those games that we did have on Sunday, just trying to figure out what were the really good ones that we did have. Uh during oh, well, of course, you had the Chiefs and the Ravens. Nobody really wants to talk about it because the game was uncompetitive, but you know, Lamar Jackson gets hurt. You got what two to three weeks now, they're saying with the hamstrings. Some people said he was checking himself out of that game, which is a little weird, but I don't obviously he wasn't now, he's out two to three weeks. Uh, could be a really big blow to the Ravens and probably their playoff folks. They're gonna be a team that, of course, nobody wants to face and they're gonna try and sneak into the wild card, but brings black back to Kansas City season, no doubt. They're two and two, especially with the Chargers getting beat by the Giants, which was a game that I think cost probably a lot of people money. I'm sure there were several people that bet in on the Chargers, and I know a few people personally, not me, I don't bet, uh on this stuff. And and I'm pretty sure that they, you know, they cost a lot of people money. Uh Justin Herbert had a terrible performance, fucked me over in fantasy. He's my quarterback. Jackson Darn comes out, you know, running the ball like Steve fucking young, you know, Cam Scataboo. I saw a uh picture on Twitter uh for those that watched the longest yard, and how they had that quarterback uh and the running back with Steve Austin being the running back and essentially compare those two to the longest yard.
SPEAKER_06Who we talking about?
SPEAKER_02I well, I transitioned from the Chiefs and Ravens and how the Ravens, you know, Lamar
Around the NFL: Upsets, Injuries, Special Teams
SPEAKER_02gets hurt, their season could be in doubt, but they'll certainly be a team no matter what, even if they drop one of their next two, to where they can make a run and become that wild card team and get in because playoffs. Yeah, but it also breathed life into the Chiefs season by winning that game, especially with the Chargers losing to the Giants. But then I correlated the Chargers-Giants game because Jackson Dart looked like fucking Steve Young out there, the way he was running the ball. Uh, and Cam Scattaboo, you know, those two combined were basically like the longest yard, where Steve Austin was the white running back and they had the dude at quarterback, the you know, the guards. Yeah, and there's a picture on Twitter I saw where they said Cam Scadaboo and Jackson Dart. So, you know, that's how the white man runs the football.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I didn't watch any of that game, so you have to tell me about it because during that window, I was at the Falcons game, obviously.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I was talking about how uh that game cost a lot of people money, and I said, not me. But it did cause a lot of people money. It did, it really did. Uh Justice was, I think he had a $38 parley. He would have won two grand if they had won that game. And so, you know, it's tough. It's tough though, because you go into it. The idea is that a West Coast team traveling to the East Coast is always tricky, but when it's the Giants starting a rookie quarterback and it's Jim Harbaugh, the expectation is they'll win this game. And then let alone the stuff that we find out in the in the game, right? Like Malik Neighbors gets hurt first, second quarter. So now you're down your best player, and they still found a way to not win the game because you know Justin Herbert had two really costly interceptions. Both of them were returned to the goal line, and so that's how they lost the game.
SPEAKER_06Hey man, uh shout out to uh Jackson Dark going out there getting a win and uh maybe solidifying that job for the year. Uh, speaking of some quarterback shakeups, what are your thoughts on uh Joe Burrow getting bitched, Dylan Gabriel being up next, and Shadur?
SPEAKER_02You said Joe Burrow. I know you meant Joe Flacco, but Joe Flacco, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_06Joe Flacco getting benched, uh Dylan Gabriel getting his shot. What does that mean for uh Cleveland Brown season and possibly Shadur Sanders? That's a first take topic.
SPEAKER_02It is. Well, that's literally what they did. As soon as they brought it up, nobody talked about Dylan Gabriel. They said, How long tell Shador? Like, isn't that amazing that like Joe Flacco gets benched? And instead of talking about Dylan Gabriel and what he can do for that team potentially, you're already moving on to the guy that is still entrenched at QB3.
SPEAKER_06But let's let's talk about let's talk about Dylan Gabriel first, and let's not be those guys.
SPEAKER_02Sure, let's talk about it. I I think it'll be fresh to see, right? Like, I mean, I don't really have much expectation for Dylan Gabriel because he wasn't somebody that in college, whether that be a UCF, Oklahoma, or uh Oregon, I never just sat up and thought, man, he's gonna be starting on Sundays one day. I'd never thought that about him. He's obviously kind of undersized, uh relatively accurate quarterback. Like he's pretty accurate at Oregon. He's accurate at Oklahoma too, but like I don't know. I mean, I just think that he's potentially just another guy. Obviously, he'll add some mobility to the position. You know, we'll see what happens, but that team just isn't talented enough on the offensive end to begin with, really to for me to justify him starting the rest of the season. I do think Shador ultimately will get his shot too. If he's able to make plays, maybe he buys enough time to where it's a quarterback competition next year. But, you know, depending on how the draft shakes out, and I I know we'll get to college here in a second, you know, there's no really front runner in college. I mean, I guess Lenore Sellers, although South Carolina is losing, he's playing well, but like nobody in college looks good. They don't want none of that scum. But no, nobody in college looks good anyways. Nuss Meyer kind of didn't look great against the old mess. Obviously, everybody continues to talk about art. Um, who are some of these other guys? Everybody keeps saying. I mean, is there some people that believe the guy at Indiana potentially may be separating himself from the pack? He's the lead to get the Heisman right now. Uh, people believe people believed in Kate Klubnik. He the latest, you know how people do the way too early after post-week four draft mock? Man, they don't even have him in the first round anymore.
SPEAKER_06Hey, shout out to Carson Beck, building back that equity.
SPEAKER_02He'll be a flyer guy just like Dylan Gabriel, he'll be a third round guy. Somehow give him a shot. He might start some games.
SPEAKER_06Like, I think Dylan Gabriel will will run the offense the way that Kevin Stefansky tells him to. And I think Kevin Stefansky is more comfortable with that because he feels like he can manage it. Uh mistake free football. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02And and here's the other thing: they've got a budding star in Quinshawn Jupins, who, despite you know, losing this last game and beating Green Bay the game before that, he's ran the ball really well. And I've been the beneficiary of that in fantasy, so I know.
SPEAKER_06Well, you know, if you ever want to get off of him, we're open.
SPEAKER_02Hey, look, I I talked, let's talk turkey. You know, you know, Harlem, not Harlem Knights, uh, life uh reference there, guys.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah. If if you didn't know, I'm disappointed. But no, um, yeah, Dylan Gabriel's gonna be able to run the offense the way Stefanski wants. Um but I'm more concerned where I am concerned about Shador is the Rex Ryan comments, and I probably should pull them up and play them just so that we don't miss anything.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I didn't I didn't hear these comments. Was it what was it on GitUp or something today?
SPEAKER_06Uh it was on Monday. Uh let me scroll up through one of my messages. It's uh it's in there somewhere because I thought Rex was on some on some wreck shit. Here it goes.
SPEAKER_01And with this, he runs his mouth like he's a something's missing with this kid. This kid toxic runs his mouth like he's a I could be a starting quarterback with his arms crossed like this. Get your ass in the front row and study and do all that. If I know the whole league knows, quit being an embarrassment that way. You got the talent to be the quarterback. You should be, you should be embarrassed that you're not the quarterback now.
SPEAKER_06So when I initially saw this, I thought this was just some some regs get off my lawn.
SPEAKER_02But he cleaned it up in the second half, yeah.
SPEAKER_06But with him with him pretty much saying, Hey, if I'm hearing this, then the whole league knows that's speaking to some of the problems that we heard about in the pre-draft process. And if you're not being a great student, like and I don't even care if Shadur actually knows what's going on. Bro, sit up front. Don't sit in the back. Like, don't be cool, be a nerd, sit up front because it shows these guys that you are going the extra mile to make sure that you get the knowledge and that you're focused. I'm focused, man. Yeah, so at me, man. Well, like, hey, uh if Rex is hearing that, uh what's going on, what's actually going on in the building? And I think that's very important when having these Shadur Sanders conversations. Again, we can't believe everything that we hear uh because we're not there to see it. But let's not just talk about talent. When you when you talk about a player who comes in with an inflated ego, who doesn't need football, that that's a difficult position for coaches. And I'm not saying that to to to stand up for coaches. You coach the guys who are there. But don't also don't do things that make yourself stick out even more if this is the field that you want to be successful in. Now, if you just want to be successful in life, do whatever the hell you want. But if you want to be a starting NFL quarterback, you see that the league already feels a certain way about you. So you got to get in line if this is what you want to do.
SPEAKER_02Well, you would think that even Prime himself is telling him, hey man, soak up that knowledge. Not that he should have to tell him this, but soak up that knowledge. At the end of the day, Flacco made over $300 million playing quarterback in the league. I'm sure Shador would like to be in that same realm, if not greater, especially with the money that quarterbacks are getting today. But on top of that, Joe Flacco's done it. He's won the Super Bowl, he's been the MVP of the Super Bowl. He's a guy, Brandon, he ain't been a pro bowl, but like um Joe, Joe, I'm really surprised he's never been one. But Joe's a guy also that was in the room, got benched for Lamar Jackson, right? And he's had to be a teacher at one point for him in his career. I would be soaking up knowledge from a guy like Joe because this is probably Joe's last rodeo, I have to imagine. You know, he he's probably gonna want to go home and play with play with his kids, you know. Um, I so I I I don't think yeah, like so. I don't I don't think that you know he'll be there that much longer. And you know, there's no telling if things do kind of go well or however it goes, it could still be you and Dylan basically having a quarterback battle next year, and maybe they do bring in a veteran, but you won't, it won't be Joe Flacco, it's not gonna be somebody like him. So it's just like soak in all that knowledge, man. Listen to Kevin Stefansky because he is a two-time coach of the year. You know, these are guys that have done things. Maybe Deshaun will be there. I don't know what Deshaun's role in all this is. Um, he might just be in the training room getting massages. I don't know. I don't know. But what I do know is that Shador's gonna get his opportunity. I wouldn't be surprised if that opportunity came sometime after week 10. Once they've seen enough with Dylan Gabriel, if Dylan Gabriel goes one and five or two and four, and he's turning the ball over, or just, you know, he's just not elevating the offense. Shador's gonna get his opportunity because they want to see what they have and then they'll be able to evaluate and figure out, you know, what direction they're gonna go in in the offseason.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and the unfortunate thing is that offense is so terrible that they they get no help in trying to showcase who they are. Uh, but another thing I want to throw out here, I I think the NFL is pretty close to a meritocracy. I'm not gonna call it a total meritocracy. Yeah, but um if Shadur was as good as as a lot of you think he is, he'd be playing. He wouldn't have been a fifth round pick.
SPEAKER_02He should be in New Orleans playing football right now, in reality.
SPEAKER_06He should be. You don't like you don't like 0-10 Spencer Rattler?
SPEAKER_02I think we'll get to the picks. I think that it won't be 0-10 after this weekend, but I'll leave that there.
SPEAKER_06Holy shit. Um, right. Any other games you want to hit? Because I've got like nothing else for football, to be perfectly honest.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, in terms of just that, I mean, obviously, just a quick preview of some notable games. Obviously, Lamar Jackson out. You got the Texans going to Baltimore. They're currently the favorite, the Texans, that is, to win that football game. Because who's the backup for the Ravens? It's uh Cooper Rush.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, Cooper Rush.
SPEAKER_02Underrated Cooper Rush won games for Dallas. I'll leave that at that. But um, Broncos
QB Carousel: Mariota, Cousins, Shadur Watch
SPEAKER_02Eagles is another interesting game next week. Um hey, what's up with the Eagles offense? Josh Holsey, he's not concerned. Uh, he should be 0 for 8 in the second half. I think that that's something to be concerned about, that you couldn't complete a pass and that your wide receiver is looking more and more like a diva every week.
SPEAKER_06I'm not even mad at him for looking like a diva.
SPEAKER_02I'm a diva. I'm I'm a diva. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. D.Va is the female version. Of a hustler. Uh, and then of course, which we'll we'll get to it once we get to the picks, of course. But the game I probably got circled that I'm most intrigued to see is Chiefs Jaguars, honestly. I want to see if Liam Cohen's for real. And final thing, since we are on the Jaguars, we didn't even talk about this. I didn't put this in pre-production, but Robert Saul and Liam Cohen, all because he says that he has a legal way of stealing signs turns into death threats. Why do you think that is?
SPEAKER_06Like uh fragile mill ego.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. It sounds a lot like that WNBA shit, and maybe that's how we seg into that. But that's a kind of back and forth I'm hearing.
SPEAKER_06But like I say fragile male ego because Lim Cohen didn't like uh uh Bob Sala uh dry snitching on him, right? Right, and almost questioning his methods and his ability to coach. So then Lim sees him and it's like hey yo, no, I gotta check this nigga.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he will sniff him. He said, keep my name out your fucking mouth.
SPEAKER_06And Bob Salah is like, who is this little fat ass nigga talking to?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Bob Bob Sala turned into a football player real quick. He's like, he's like, he's like, well, come over here and do something about it. Like, you know.
SPEAKER_06I I would I would end your life.
SPEAKER_02Bold bold statement to be making on a football field. What the Jacksonville media said they caught it on the hot mic.
SPEAKER_06Hey, I'm just gonna say allegedly to cover our asses.
SPEAKER_02I hope we don't get sued like uh like how Ray J is, but I don't know. We'll move on. He deserves it. Uh let's get into some college football though. Um no no no no no. We are still on the NFL, actually, real quick. Bad bunny in the Super Bowl. Thoughts.
SPEAKER_00Uh this is actually this is culturally inappropriate.
SPEAKER_02Uh apparently he's the most trained artist of the past three years internationally.
SPEAKER_06I understand what the NFL is doing and trying to expand his reach, especially when you talk about games in Brazil, you talk about games in Mexico City. That's a great way to bring uh those fan bases uh more into American football. So great marketing by uh yeah, you know, great marketing move by Hove and and and Raj.
SPEAKER_00But this is culturally inappropriate.
SPEAKER_06Hey McDonalds, football is still a red state sport. And uh we had your Kendrick Lamar's, your Rihanna's, your your P subs, A Town Downs. Yeah, yeah. We we know all of that music. But hey, this Big Dog, don't speak English. That's the interesting part about it all. AC Lee doesn't care because AC Lee never cares about the halftime show. If I get a good halftime show, honestly, I'm pissed off because I can't piss and reload all my food the way that I want to. But I enjoy it. But I'm I'm here for the football. So because I'm here for the football, I don't care. But in this politicized America that we live in, let's just talk about why do we have a Spanish-speaking artist who does not make songs in English performing at the largest uh uh TV event in America?
SPEAKER_02Uh you know, it's funny. I would say, in terms of the world, I could be wrong. I can get fact-checked on this. In terms of the world, I think Spanish is the leading language. And I I know everybody for the most part knows how to speak English, but in terms of nations real quick. In terms of nations um that speak that the official and first language is Spanish, I believe that Spanish would be the number one spoken language in the world. Um, and it makes a ton of sense too. I mean, obviously, we look at kind of how the world has played itself out in a lot of Spanish conquistadors and whatnot taking over, but uh early in time, earlier in time. But nonetheless, um, and I can get fact-checked because I could be wrong, and I don't want to spew out you know false information, but if I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure I'm right. Um, so it makes a ton of sense. Bad bunny's a huge pool. Uh, he's box office. Some people think that it's a political statement more than anything, and that there's gonna be stuff, you know, Jason Whitlocks of the world. It's a lot of different things that you could look at this and you could say, um, yeah, I feel like this is something more than just picking an artist. Uh I I don't really look too far into that because the Super Bowl is not about the halftime show, it's about the game. And that's what I'm pretty much really worried about. I'm excited for Bad Bunny. I don't really listen to any of the music. I've got a couple songs on my Spotify, but uh, he's not necessarily someone I just am locked in with or anything like that either. So um it should be interesting, though. I mean, I'm excited. Again, who doesn't love uh a little football, you know, and a little live entertainment to go with it? It should be really interesting. But uh while I've got everybody here, since Lee has got me uh he's got me kind of covering this. Uh, we did skip out on the NFL injuries, so many devastating injuries. Tyreek Hill, Joe Burrow, obviously Malik neighbors as well, just a lot of big time receiver, uh receivers mainly, but a lot of just big-time players in general. It's been a lot of quarterback injuries. Jaden Daniels missed two weeks. Um, you know, JJ McCarthy's out. It's just been a lot of injuries this year. It's kind of weird, you know. You you look at this stuff and you say, well, why? Why is this happening? Why why why are we getting more injuries? Some people want to blame the field conditions. I know MetLife gets a lot of the flack for that because of how they have that field set up and the fact that it's not grass and that it's the artificial turf. And I don't I'm not sure what makes theirs any different from anywhere else, but it seems like a lot of the gripe here is with the turf. And we just are seeing a ton more injuries, it seems like, and it's you know, it affects your fantasy football, affects teams' outlooks, affects teams' futures, um, and just the product on the field. But it should be pretty interesting um to see how everything continues on, even with that. And especially now that we've got Lee back, I think it's time to transition into our college football overview. Um Lee, what did you think of? We'll start off obviously with the dogs because we were both repping them last show. Uh, we had our red on, our black, our Georgia gear, and you know, something that we don't say very often, but same old Georgia?
SPEAKER_06Like, yeah, pretty much dropping games of Bama, you know, I just pretty much what it was. I mean, not showing up on the big stage, not making plays when they were necessary, both on offensively and defensively, uh, allowing Ty Simpson to look like a five-star recruit and not a guy who couldn't win the job uh uh from uh a guy who's not a quarterback, uh just a fast guy with an arm. Uh Cas Jones getting the ball on fourth and one, you know, the walk-on running back who uh does not really fit the mode of a Georgia running back, if we're being honest. Not taking the three points to tie up the game because Alabama's offense hadn't done shit the entire second half. You know, Mike Bobo still being on the staff, uh, you know, allowed to represent the University of Georgia. Uh Kirby's blind spot and and and not being able to uh have an offense that is tied to him as opposed to being tied to his coordinator and not hiring uh an appropriate coordinator to bring out the best in him, like his mentor Nick Saban had to learn to do as the game changed. Uh I wasn't shocked. I kind of thought we would lose. I wasn't gonna pick us to lose. I didn't want us to lose, but uh there there's just something there's the fear of Bama, and we we we saw it again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was uh you know, business as usual, it seemed like for Alabama. Play Georgia, beat Georgia, you know. Um it's it's it's amazing to me because you know, Frank de Boer or Calen De Boer, I said Frank, Frank De Boer actually used to be the Atlanta United coach. Caitlin de Boer was a dead man walking. He was he was Damar Hamlin um week one after the loss to Florida State, which that loss didn't look any better still because Florida State just lost uh to Virginia, but um
College Football: Georgia-Bama, Rankings, Coaching
SPEAKER_02yeah, um Charlottesville, Virginia.
SPEAKER_06But um, anyways, one of my least favorite cities in America, by the way. Personal experience.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I forgot you you did party there, but uh, you know, I think it's just known for more than well, party city.
SPEAKER_06Well, it was a good party city as far as what was going on, and and it I there was potential for good parties. I understand why people like to party there, but the same things you're talking about, I ran into the people who fit those same descriptions and treated me as such.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and that's why they treated Florida State that way. Uh, poor, poor Florida State wide receiver, too. Getting ran over like it was, you know, like he was fucking Mufasa or something. Um, when Mufasa fell trying to save Simba or when he asked Carr for help and then long live the king and he dropped it. He the antlers and shit were woofed.
SPEAKER_06I mean, bro, bro, bro, that's the antelope.
SPEAKER_02I said antlers.
SPEAKER_06That's a sensitive subject for me. That that that that scene has made me cry in that movie.
SPEAKER_02That's what it looked like though. If you saw it, the way that them kids rushed that field. That brother, let me tell you, as soon as the ref blew the whistle, those kids, you would have thought you would have thought that it was Armageddon, the way that these these people were running to storm that field. I mean, I I don't I'm hoping the guy's okay. I wonder if anyone got we need to see if we can hit up Florida State and see if we can get him on. Just to ask him, how was that? Even if it's just a five-minute segment, I'm sure he would take 50 bucks, a little NIL from the Washington winning pod. But um, nonetheless, Alabama beats Georgia, Calen De Boer. He's back in the good graces of Alabama fans. Um, you know, big dick Kif. Big Dick Kif, yeah. I mean, he he he whipped it out and he told BK that BK is still BK. It's really what he did. And now now they're ranked number four, which is interesting. I don't think I've ever can recall Ole Miss being ranked this high, like ever.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Lee.
SPEAKER_02You know they're they've always been like at tops, like seven or eight. I've never seen them in the top four.
SPEAKER_06They're going crazy over there in Gainesville right now, looking at Nape on the sideline every week and watching Ole Miss at number four.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and who's to say that who's to say that if they don't make a coaching change, that maybe um maybe there's a guy that's uh in Oxford that would be interested because he'll have more resources, that's for sure. Better recruit base, yeah. I if he can do it there, he can do it there, you know. You know, that wasn't the only thing that was the same old saying. Um Penn State. Much ado about nothing, right? Penn State drops a game against the top 10 opponent. Whoa.
SPEAKER_06Holy shit.
SPEAKER_02Whoa, shocker.
SPEAKER_06The microphone is recording our voices.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Franklin um not winning a big game is about as shocking as um Zach Robinson having his offense run out of a pistol. It just it's it's a known thing. Do you know what I mean? I it doesn't really change much. Um you know, it's almost as common as the 2016 Falcons all the way until last year blowing a lead. It just these are things that we know will happen every time. It's it's it's it's consistent, it's expected, it's known, it is life. Yeah. It is life. But Dante Moore looked pretty good considering that crowd did look insane. Uh, I know there are a couple people that feel like, man, you know, I know he's a I think he's a redshirt sophomore, but which I guess would make him eligible to come out. A lot of people think that his stock is the one that's rising and that he could be the guy that maybe would separate himself from the pack and be that next franchise quarterback in the NFL. He was very poised. I'll give him that. Like he never seemed rattled, he didn't make any mistakes. Um, he went out there, he did his job, and Dan Lanning looks even more like a wizard, obviously.
SPEAKER_06Quincy A both Quincy Avery and uh Todd McShay had high praise for him, and and some stuff I listened to them talking about him. So I I defer to those types because I I barely even watched that game because I was watching Georgia Bama. Um, but we were split, you know me.
SPEAKER_02I yeah, yeah, I know. I mean, I've watched obviously I was watching the Georgia game mainly, but commercial breaks, halftime, you know. You're if you got money on the line on the city.
SPEAKER_06I know you're just you're just going, you're just going from side to side. I guess.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just pterodactyl in my body. Yeah. Let's just throw it out there. I mean, that's what it was, right? Football has that type of a chokehold on me.
SPEAKER_03I guess you've got Joe hooks in me.
SPEAKER_02But trying to think, really, aside from that, we didn't have anything else that was too shocking in college football this week.
SPEAKER_06Um, we had a little bit of shocking news. Check that we weren't expecting.
SPEAKER_02All right, we are here on the Paul Feinbaum show. Uh, caller, who is it?
SPEAKER_06Hey, Paul. Adam from Athens again. You know.
SPEAKER_02Adam, Adam, real quick, before before you get into your spew. Are you doing okay over there? Is what's the pulse like in Athens?
SPEAKER_06You know, Paul, it's not great over here in Athens because uh we had another we had a big disappointment on Saturday, Paul. But I'll be honest with you, Paul. The bigger disappointment is the news we heard Sunday morning about you there, good Paul. And that's what I'm calling about. You know, I don't even want to talk about the Bulldogs, Paul. Are you planning to leave us to run for Senate? Run for Congress, excuse me.
SPEAKER_02Adam, I I have no comment on that. Um, I talk football on this program, I don't get into politics. Uh, if you want to talk politics, I'm sure Rush Limbaugh or um you know any of those types over at Fox will take your call.
SPEAKER_06But hey, hey, Paul, Paul, Paul, be sensitive right now. We're we're we're going through tough times. You know, we lost our voice.
SPEAKER_02Well, and I and I believe that you know that there does need to be a voice, and you know, maybe that'll get addressed, especially in uh the state of Alabama. Uh, I mean, I've heard rumors that Bruce Pearl would was potentially gonna be doing it. And, you know, I I have no further comment in regards to myself on this, but uh Paul continues. What I want to talk about is is is how the Alabama Crimson tide did it again. Kalen De Boer went into Georgia. He stopped the longest win streak, home win streak in college football, something that dated back to COVID. I I don't understand, Adam. Can you tell me just a little bit more about Kirby Smart and what type of game plan he had? Why was Cass Jones running the ball on fourth and one? Why didn't he kick a field goal? Why is Alabama sending out a left tackle to catch a screenplay and he's picking up 18 yards?
SPEAKER_06Paul, I'll answer your questions, but I just want to let you know whatever decision you make, we support you, Paul Feinbaum. We we we here in Athens, we love you, we listen to you every day. And if we can't hear you on the on the airwaves uh here anymore, we'll be happy to know that you're representing the good people uh of this great country, America, in the halls of Congress. So uh we'll we'll we'll keep it respectful. You don't have to respond, but I'll get back to football, Paul, because I know I'm taking up a lot of your time. Uh Paul, uh it's it's Mike Bobo. You know, it's the stench of Rick and Mike Bobo still has it all over his body. And and and Georgia won't be right until we get the stench of ricked out of the building. So until Kirby Smart decides to to to to actually put his nuts on the table, like like we know Coach Smart to do, and and get this son bitch out of here. Excuse my language, uh get this guy out of here. We're gonna continue to struggle in big games because this is this is just going taking us back to the rick years. We we we know this feeling before. We've seen it.
SPEAKER_02Well, and Adam, you know, and I I appreciate your call. We're about to go into a commercial break here shortly, but it sounds like to me, Mike Bobo is you know, if if I had to compare it to a situation, and it's the same thing going on in your your the your great state of Georgia with the Atlanta Falcons, it sounds like Mike Bobo is Rich McKay. Uh, these are just the things I've heard in the pro circles. Uh he's somebody that just remains and and everybody continues to see the same thing, and nobody seems to know where it's coming from, but they're the constants in why winning is not happening. Uh, if things get ugly in Baltimore, maybe there's a chance that Todd Munkin returns, but certainly Kirby has got to keep his eye out for a new offensive coordinator. Uh, I know that there was talks about Bobo getting tossed last year. Um, some saying it was a health concern. There were a lot of different rumors that kind of went out, but you know, I don't start rumors, I just talk about them.
SPEAKER_06And um, you know, Paul, this this this right here, you comparing you comparing Mike Bobo to Rich McKay is exactly why we need you in the halls of Congress because you get the big picture, you you understand things, Paul. You understand?
SPEAKER_02Thank you, Adam. We're gonna go to a commercial break.
SPEAKER_06Hey man, you think you think Fine Bob's really running for for office?
SPEAKER_02I think that that report wouldn't just come out if it didn't have some sort of there's smoke to it, you know. I don't know how serious he is because I'm curious as to what ESVN pays him because he still does his normal show, right? But then he does the ESVN. So what do you think uh Paul gets to do that? Plus, he does, you know, he he does the car wash sometimes himself. You think Paul Paul's breaking in half a mil, right? He's getting 500k from ABC.
SPEAKER_06I feel like he's probably getting a mil because his you know, his radio show is well, maybe not all from ABC, but yeah, it's yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I'm saying from ABC.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, but yeah, I'm saying his radio show is is syndicated on uh on the STC network, I believe, or ESPN 2 or 3. It's it's it's it's on the family of networks. Uh as and it's also you know, it's also a podcast radio show, and and he obviously does numbers on the actual radio show because niggas call.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he's the voice of the South.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh he's uh he's Jim Hart in wrestling. Jimmy Hart.
SPEAKER_06I honestly I hope I hope he's just trying to get a little pay raise, you know, get some of that
Media, Feinbaum Rumors, SEC Culture
SPEAKER_06cheese that Steve is stealing. I was about to say, that's actually literally what I was about to say. I said he said Steve's doing it, he said, fuck, I can do it too.
SPEAKER_02Shit.
SPEAKER_06Because uh what I don't want is I have an idea of what Paul Bob, Paul Feinbaum's politics are, but I don't want to know Paul Feinbaum to have to become a successful politician and take sides that I don't want him to take because of the way the way I want to continue to view him fondly.
SPEAKER_02And that's that's selfish. Well, selfishly on my end, I just would hate for his show to turn into the Marty Smith show. Because that's who they would probably get to replace him to do something like that.
SPEAKER_06Are you talking about are you talking about douchebag, slick back hair, faux hawk beard?
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, Marty Smith, the guy that does NASCAR in SEC football. I don't want to listen to him. I mean, they're not gonna get Will Kane, right? So I like but I'm just saying, when it comes to who's gonna be the voice of the South and somebody that talks exclusively Southern SEC football, like it's gonna be hard to replace him with somebody. I mean, maybe a guy like Pollock could do it, but we know where Pollock how he leans in.
SPEAKER_06I don't think that he would he's now he's done with ABC. I think they're gonna have to find somebody off the uh off the uh local circuit. Like they're gonna have to pull somebody from an Atlanta radio station, uh a Birmingham radio station, uh a Nashville radio station, you know what I mean? Like uh somebody in Tallahassee or or Gainesville. They gotta find one of those people, uh a real salt of the earth guy. Yeah, some grassroots. Yeah, we can't you can't bring in one of these national talking heads. Like, like for us, as as much as we are Georgia's uh uh a football, a sports fan, we could not do a college football show.
SPEAKER_02No, just don't follow it enough.
SPEAKER_06We're and we're far too national and NFLy and corporate and clean. Like we just can't, we just can't do we couldn't do that.
SPEAKER_02You want to know who would you when you say local circuit now, now I think about it, you want to know who would be good? Who locally here? Rusty manzell. Okay, tell me more. You listen to it, I don't. So he's on 92-9 the game, but Rusty has been he duh he started uh on three. Okay. Him and uh Josh Pate. He's he's very grassroots, he knows everything, certainly, about Georgia, I know, but I feel like he knows that, at least certainly in this this region, he knows a lot about that stuff. He's well connected. Uh like he had told a story about how Trevor Lawrence um, you know, basically was gonna commit to Georgia, and then you know, he went to Clemson and because he basically was telling like Kirby, like, I'm coming. And then apparently Dabo said, Well, then Dabo said, Well, he said, that's fine. He's like, if you want to commit to Georgia, but you should still just take the visit with us, you know. Basically, like come down here and and and and if you wanted to go to Georgia, he said, I I don't have any problem with that, but he said, you know, you gotta at least give us a visit, a second visit here, and and see what Clemson's all about. He said, you know, and he used that, you know, the fake stance and whatever on it. And essentially, that as soon as uh he went down there, he didn't let him leave without committing, and then he he committed to Clemson, and and that he called Rusty, apparently, and told him that yeah, I'm switching, that he was one of the first people he told.
SPEAKER_06Shout out to Clemson, man, having a great season. At least Gables taking accountability in front of the the tigers, saying it's a coaching problem.
SPEAKER_02Hey, look, if if they want to move off of him, Lee, I don't think anyone would have an issue with that.
SPEAKER_06I know Florida wouldn't.
SPEAKER_02You want to you want to know who would be an underrated school that would maybe go after him if they wanted to part ways mutually?
SPEAKER_05Who?
SPEAKER_02And I don't know if it would work because of the region, but let's say Penn State moved off James Franklin because they let's say that Penn State went three games this year.
SPEAKER_06Nah, he's not a Big Ten guy.
SPEAKER_02What, too much cat going on up there?
SPEAKER_06I don't know what it is. He's just not a Big Ten guy. He he if he if he leaves the ACC, it's to the SEC. He's not a Big Ten guy.
SPEAKER_02Well, it doesn't look like it'll be the Alabama job anymore.
SPEAKER_06I I don't think he has the personality for the donors.
SPEAKER_02Sure. Sure. Uh actually they're a 14-point favorite this week against Bill on the road.
SPEAKER_05Shocked?
SPEAKER_02Uh no. I mean, no, that's not shocking, but like, you know.
SPEAKER_06I mean, yeah, you watch Chapel Bill. I I I only watched a little bit of that first game, you know. I said, okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Chapel Bill. Um, yeah, no, I am I surprised, no, no, in short, no. Is it time to talk some hoops? It is. Let's get into the NBA Media Day, man, and the circus that has been. Like people asking Kawhi Leonard, hey, you know, did you uh what's going on with uh what's the name of the company, Aspire or whatever that shit was called? Yeah, they're asking him about it, and he's basically saying he still is old money. You know, he said, let's not talk about what I got, let's talk about what I'm owed. Because he's one of the creditors, yeah. Yeah, so you know, uh saw a lot of jokes on Twitter, like him doing the picture, and they had him turn aside. They like he's getting ready to do that mugshot.
SPEAKER_06I mean, and Pablo dropped another bomb. What did he say? Uh, pretty much uh Steve Ballmer had been donating to one of the uh Aspire uh or whatever the company's name is. Uh he had been donating to one of that guy's charities for for multiple years, although, like he said this guy scammed him. And it's like you continued paying it to his charity after the scam became public. So uh what you mean he scammed you? I mean, it sounds like the Clippers are dead to right, but I think one of my biggest takeaways from what Pablo said uh on Monday and dropping this was that um there are people who think who are won't go on the record even anonymously because they think the NBA is gonna do a sham investigation and find nothing so that this isn't exposed.
SPEAKER_02Well, and it gets back into the Mark Cuban aspect of it. He's defending it hard, he's going after Pablo, and he's telling him, hey man, basically buzz off. Like and think of
NBA Media Day: Kawhi, Lists, Warriors, Embiid
SPEAKER_02and Mark, what I think he still he still owns a little bit of it. He's obviously not the principal anymore, but like you know, he's obviously been kind of the face of the owners in the NBA for a long time. He certainly has been the most vocal and maybe the most famous of the group, and so his opinion still matters in league circles, and obviously he knows something that Pablo knows as well, and he doesn't want that exposed. And how can you blame him, honestly?
SPEAKER_06I mean, so you so you think there's some some some uh some tanky panky going on?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I do. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Uh I I I really wish we had time to go through that NBA 100. Did we go through that last week? No, or we just did it over the over the phone, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. Because uh I still actually haven't even seen the full list because you I saw that like first 50 when they showed Cooper, and then I just saw the top 10, and that was it.
SPEAKER_06And Derek White was 26, you know.
SPEAKER_02No, he wasn't. He's bullshitting.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, we didn't talk about that. Yeah, he he he was uh he was uh lower than Trey Young and Ja.
SPEAKER_02And I tell you what, in what world would Boston not accept the trade for Trey Young and him straight up? In what world would they not accept the trade for Ja Morant and him straight up?
SPEAKER_06Hey, uh uh Drew Holliday was like 91.
SPEAKER_02Drew shouldn't even be on the list.
SPEAKER_06Well, well, if Derek White is 26, Drew Holiday's not 91.
SPEAKER_02I agree. One's a younger version of the other. But not as good. But not as good, right. Not as good as his prime.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I mean Drew's Drew Drew's an all-star. Two-time. Yeah, it could have been a multi-time all-star had he been not been one of the best role players of our life.
SPEAKER_02He'll probably at least finish in the top three for DPOY at least once in his career, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like people who don't understand Drew Holiday, I I can't have a basketball conversation with you.
SPEAKER_02I understand it. I I think Drew. Gosh.
SPEAKER_06He's the right Olympic role player. He's the one where niggas don't go, what the fuck are you doing on the Olympic team?
SPEAKER_02He's he's good for for what he is in the league today.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, a 6'5 guard that can shoot, that can score, that can guard one through four.
SPEAKER_02Well, and and if everything turns out right, he'll be uh wingman, he'll be the wingman for uh Dame Willard come what March maybe?
SPEAKER_06I hope not probably not. I I hope Dame doesn't come back. You think he just just just sit out the whole year?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, man. He's my he's older than me. He enjoyed his media day. He said he should have never left.
SPEAKER_06I mean, yeah, sometimes, you know, you gotta leave home to rule out how much you love it. That's what you got. That's what I be trying to, you know, that's that's what I used to try to tell women back in the day. Baby, I gotta leave you just to make sure I love you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that sounds like a crock of shit to me, Lee. Um I I never said that. Nah, no, but I'm saying just in general, it just sounds like a bunch of BS.
SPEAKER_06I mean, you know, do you really know how much something matters to you until you don't have it?
SPEAKER_02I guess you never know what you got till it's gone, huh?
SPEAKER_06And you take paradise and you put it in a parking lot.
SPEAKER_02I was doing a Kanye verse there, but uh I know on gone.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, no, I was just stepping on your verse by like singing another song.
SPEAKER_02I know I got it. I don't know what y'all on. I'm gonna open up a store for inspiring MCs. Won't sell in the dreams, but the inspiration is free, and if they ever flip sides like Anakin, you would sell everything, including the mannequin. Got a new bitch now. You Jennifer Aniston.
SPEAKER_06What would you have said if you were Clay when they asked you about Meg Thee Stallion?
SPEAKER_02They were really asking him, he's like, Is the ass that insane? That's really what he was saying. You know what I mean? That's what that's what that question was about. But uh, you know, that's just the way everybody deflects at this point in general. They'd be like, I'm not gonna talk about my personal life because basically I'm at my job. I mean, I'm not wrong. It's an inappropriate question. This is culturally inappropriate.
SPEAKER_00This is culturally inappropriate.
SPEAKER_06Uh, let's see, what else? Do you care about LeBron being out for training camp and not playing in the preseason? I don't think he's hurt.
SPEAKER_02I think it's only funny because he was on Cost and not stream cutting his hair and like jumping around and shit. So, like, I don't think he's LeBron and it's year 23. Like, no, I give a fuck, bro. That he's not. Does he need to? I mean, like, let's be real. Nigga, does Luca need to? Do any of them do Luca's been playing ball all summer? Them niggas don't need to do it. They need to get Bronny's ass out there running the the the the the second and third unit, you know what I mean? That's who needs that, Todd. JJ needs it so he can see if he's gonna be installing some new.
SPEAKER_06I mean, we need Marcus Smart and dominating there.
SPEAKER_02Right. So I don't I don't I personally don't have an issue with it. Um I don't have an issue with it.
SPEAKER_06Uh any thoughts on Joel Embiid and Philly not knowing his return date.
SPEAKER_02Sad, sad story, man. I mean, again, he he's like he's following in the pantheon of all the other great players that were injured, you know. Grant Hill. You remember when Grant Hill got to the magic, and like it just seemed like every year we were like, man, can't wait to see Grant Hill team up with T Mag, and then it's just shit. The shit really just basically never happened. Yeah, we didn't see that nigga until he got to Phoenix. But I'm saying now they got Edge Cone, you know. Obviously, they're gonna get a healthy PG back, hopefully. Um, you're gonna get a healthy Tyrese Maxie back. McCain's already hurt. Yeah, he got hurt already. They're bringing back the black unis, which I love. I always loved that era. Now I wonder if they're only gonna do the black or if they will do the white and the blue ones.
SPEAKER_06What color do you think McCain's gonna paint his nails for the black unis?
SPEAKER_02Uh, that uh blue. So they can contrast really nicely, and everybody knows, like, oh, okay, I get it. Like, because they got the blue ones. Oh, he could do he could do red, or maybe he'll do that gold basketball color on there.
SPEAKER_06Uh thoughts on the Warriors, um, bringing in Al Horford, Seth Curry, the uh D'Anthony Melton, uh GP2, and uh Jonathan Kaminga pretty much fucking himself with his contract. Anything on that?
SPEAKER_02So in a weird way, I think that they made it a tradable contract, is really what that was all about. Like, to where they're not gonna be able to swap for in reality, like let's say they got Paul George, right? Let's say that they traded the negative Philly for Paul George straight up or something like that. I don't I I think that the that that they were in a tough spot one way or another, and clearly they just didn't think Malik Monk in the first round pick from the Kings was enough, which maybe it wasn't, but like I kind of like that more. You added a piece to a Kings team that is 1,000% gonna be fighting for a play-in spot no matter what, and he gets to kind of go thrive and see if he makes more money in a situation where you know DeMar DeRozan's really the only Zach Levine, but well, Levine though, he's a one-two, as opposed to Damar is really a two-three, but he would have been a steady three-four for them because you know he's gonna be playing Sabonis probably at the five, I guess. And I know they got Keegan Murray, but like Keegan Murray hasn't lived up to being a fourth pick. He's not a bad pro. He's just a hey, he hasn't lived up to being the fourth pick in the draft. And so I don't know. I I I would have liked the idea of Malik Monk, who was really kind of the front runner for six men of the year before he got hurt last year, and a first-round pick, especially if it was unprotected. I would have liked that. That would have been a good deal to get off of him. But at the same time, I like the idea of him coming back too with that, with Al Horford. Think about it this way. What's that starting lineup? We're talking Al Horford, Draymond, Jimmy, Kaminga, Steph.
SPEAKER_06Nah, I don't think Kaminga's starting. Who do you think gets his spot? Pods.
SPEAKER_02Fuck pods. Pods is coming off the bench, man. He's he's a I wouldn't be starting pods.
SPEAKER_06I I think I think this is gonna be here's what's gonna happen. Either Kaminga is gonna play really well, and then they're going to team option him, and then they're gonna bury him the next year so he doesn't get paid, and they can drop down, they can try to lower his value and and uh keep him for less. Or they're gonna bury his ass and try to trade him. Either way, uh I think he's fucked.
SPEAKER_02He probably is, but the thing is is that they want him to do well if they do want to trade him. That's the thing. That's that that would be the thought.
SPEAKER_06But it and all for all intents and purposes, it appears that they have no desire to want to see him do well. Right. Just watching the way that he was played. And I understood after the injury when Jimmy came with Jimmy was there and they were hot, you can't really play him. But even in the playoffs, when they were taking injuries, it took them forever to start playing him. And no, he was not efficient, but he was productive.
SPEAKER_02He was productive, and but the thing is that you have to use a guy like that with that type of size and athleticism. He should be a player that you want to kind of run your offense through a little. I la how Jalen Johnson kind of like you run your offense through Trey, but Jalen Johnson really is kind of who the Hawks run their offense through.
SPEAKER_06Hey, but you know, you know, Kaminga had like a similar deal to Jalen Johnson, the long-term deal that he didn't take and probably should have taken.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's a him problem, though.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he should fire his agent. Let's see. Let's get to the W though. Because I mean, we got about 25 minutes left.
SPEAKER_02I I think it'd be fitting to talk about, you know, the did you know, did you know that uh she was uh that the the C the commissioner of the WNBA was the former CEO of Deloitte?
SPEAKER_06I did not know that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I didn't just a little research on her because everybody's like talking about her, but and so that's why I'm so glad we're actually on this topic now. So she ended up making them like it was like a 15% increase in profits, not revenue, profits for Deloitte during her time. And I looked at it this way. I think that her comments were clearly insensitive for her to say, for one, that Caitlin Clark that she should be thanking the W. No, the W should be thanking Caitlin Clark in reality. She is the reason a lot of yeah, and Angel Reese, too. Like, but she is the main attraction for why the WNBA is taking off and more people are paying attention, more people are betting on it. Like, there are she's a big part of that. The W did not make her, she's making the W. And and and in turn, the great talent that is a Nafisa Collier, that is a uh Asia Wilson, that is uh Angel Reese,
WNBA Growth, Commissioner Clash, Finals Outlook
SPEAKER_02it is bringing more attention to them, and everybody can finally see damn, these girls got game. Like the quality of play has gone up in basketball.
SPEAKER_06Let's give Jackie Young a shout out. She's oh Jackie too, yeah.
SPEAKER_02She went crazy yesterday. Oh, shout out, shout outs to, and I think Jackie shot the last free throws. Shout outs to Jackie for covering that spread for a Knicks. You know, we love it. We love it. Hey man, hey, hey, hey, shout out to A too. She held you down. Well, shout outs to the shout outs to to the pace, uh, not the Pacers, the fever for running the cover play at the end there, fouling when they knew the game was over.
SPEAKER_06Uh hey, but speaking of which, uh the Vegas Aces beat the fever, uh, the Indiana fever in game five in the uh in the semifinals of the WNBA uh championship tournament uh in overtime. No Caitlin Clark, no Sophie Cunningham. Uh let's focus on the losers first, man. Did this show that Indiana had their mind right in the way that they built out that roster to be able to perform with or without Caitlin uh and trying to build a quick contender?
SPEAKER_02Yes, and no, I I think that that was something that that a lot of people didn't pay attention to even last year, was that the talent around that team was actually pretty good. And I mean, obviously, they added a couple more pieces. Think about Dwana Bonner was on the team too to start the year.
SPEAKER_06She had to go back home to mommy or daddy. I don't know who plays with.
SPEAKER_02You mean the HD?
SPEAKER_06Hey, hey, hey, hey, it's gonna be a competition. The lineup is set for for the top dog in the WNBA.
SPEAKER_02Uh look, uh I look, we'll see. We'll see how it goes. I can't wait till we get that encounter when um Kelsey Gray goes to the hole and they meet each other at the well, not at the rim, but you know, at the net? You said it, not me. You said it. You you said it. I didn't say it. You said it.
SPEAKER_06You set me up, man. You set me up.
SPEAKER_02I didn't set shit up.
SPEAKER_06Uh, but you do we want to talk about the WNBA or do we want to talk about their uh their mess?
SPEAKER_02No, we want to talk about the mess. All in all, I mean, I think Mercury, uh Vegas should be a decent series. I like the Mercury to honestly win in four games. I think they're gonna steal one in Vegas and then they won't lose at home. Like, that's what I think is gonna happen.
SPEAKER_06But um I got Vegas.
SPEAKER_02It's just gonna Age is gonna end it, right? She's got the best player on she's the best player on the floor, right? But like, and Jackie Young, again, another fantastic player. Chelsea Gray, fantastic player. Players like Jewel Lloyd have to show up for them to win that series. Like, Jewel Lloyd's gotta play well. Yeah. Like she's gotta contribute because for the most part, you're gonna get Alyssa Thomas, she's gonna bring it. You're gonna get Satusabu, who's gonna bring it. Uh Khalia Cooper is gonna bring it. Like, they're gonna play well. Uh Sammy, Sammy Whitcomb, the the rookie white chick from overseas. I don't know what country she's from.
SPEAKER_05She she's she's a shooter. She's a sniper. She's a sniper. She'd be out there kirking.
SPEAKER_02Nah, for real, though. For real. Like, she looks like, I mean, I hate to compare it to another white boy that can shoot that thing, but she's like Kyle Corver with the shit. I mean, she I mean, she she kept him in that last series. Yeah, she she, you know, you maybe don't get the instance where the coach is out there saying, fuck you to fans and fuck you to the rest, and making all this hey, if they don't blow that game, because they might sweep them in a weird way. You know what I mean? They might have swept them in reality. So, you know.
SPEAKER_06You know, I I've got to take I got I've got an issue with Wayne. I you know, I sent to group text with him. Uh, I don't know if I told you he's not available on Wednesdays.
SPEAKER_02If I didn't, I meant to I reached out at all, even if if even if it's a phone in. Uh, he said he could phone in. We'll take him on the phone. We got we have to get him for the next show okay to do because the WM the W is wrapping up anyway. So, and then I want to hear his thoughts on the collective bargaining agreement with how he thinks that this should be handled. I mean, I'm sure he's gonna say they need to get paid. I think we all agree they need to get paid more, but what does that look like?
SPEAKER_06I think he'll disagree with us.
SPEAKER_02But look, I thought I told him what are the odds on that minus 5,000 Lee? I mean, come on.
SPEAKER_06But I told him yesterday, I was like, I really like Jackie Young's game without Kelsey Plum on the on the floor. Yeah, and he didn't, and he did not believe that I was talking about basketball, and it really hurt my feelings because I actually watched the good teams in the W.
SPEAKER_02Well, we what do you expect? You're a pig. So so naturally his first sentence is pig shit. Come on now.
SPEAKER_06I'm offended. You should be. I'm the furthest thing from a pig. A pig. Uh but Nafisa call you. She came to work and said, fuck my boss, and my boss's boss. Yeah, I'm gonna tell all the shit that I was told. Uh, because I I'm I I'm an executive for the rival league, and we were having rival league conversations, but now I'm gonna disclose it as a player because you were talking too much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. I mean, look, at the end of the day, Fee had every right to say what she said. I think that she would have said it regardless of if it was the exit interview, because I didn't realize she's like the VP of the players' association, yeah. So she's like Chris Paul, yeah. And so she's I know I know CP was the he was the president at one point, but I think he's the VP now. I don't know. He's got a lot of influence in the league. This is his last year doing it anyway. Which media day, real quick on him, he looked old as hell in his media day. He's 40. I know he is, but like he looked it. I was like, whoa, he looks washed up. He is. He was not he was not bad last year.
SPEAKER_06Hey, hey, hey, can we can we get back to the ladies?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, how misogynistic of me to bring up men in a women's conversation. Yeah, I mean you're the pig, yeah. Sure, sure, sure. That's why Wayne said what he said, because I'm the pig. Smells like bacon over there, Lee. But um, but no, I mean, um, at the end of the day, I I just see it this way. I think that they will ultimately, I don't know. I'm curious as to what number they're bringing to the table and what they're saying now. My thought is with the with the commissioner, which is why I brought up her background with Deloitte, she knows something. She knows something, damn it. Like, I know that she does. It's not just the $40 million loss, because I get it. Everybody's like, stop talking about the profit, let's talk about the revenue. And it's just kind of like again, most people don't know what a balance sheet looks like and how you balance it out. And even more money doesn't necessarily balance that out, but then again, the amount of money that they're bringing in, I'm sure that they will make a profit. But the WNBA probably looks at it as we have to get back all the money we've lost. You guys are the straw that's gonna stir the drink to where that next generation of player is gonna be the one that reaps the benefits. You guys are gonna make a little bit more, but don't expect like Asia Wilson should not be expecting to sign a five-year, $25 million contract is the way I kind of look at it. Well, like that that doesn't need to be expected.
SPEAKER_06But let's get back to the commissioner real quick, Parlay Pete, because you talked about a balance sheet, and you know the quickest way to increase your profit is to cut it, it's cut cost. Correct. And if she created that 15% uh increase in profit in profit at Deloitte, she was gutting shit.
SPEAKER_02She had to have been.
SPEAKER_06And uh I can understand why uh the WNBA players don't want her to be leading the their the negotiations against them for the new collective bargaining agreement and trying to use information to get us out of there, get them uh out of there, get her out of there because she's trying to cut costs. And uh she's not wrong and she's not right in what she said about Caitlin Clark, right? Caitlin Clark has brought more money to the WNBA than Caitlin Clark has received from the WNBA. I I I I believe that uh wholesale. But Caitlin Clark does not have that earning ability if she once she leaves college. Yeah. So so this lady is just looking at business. It's like, you know what? You guys have to come here to make all of that other money. So I don't give a fuck about that popularity. This is the ex and the o's of it. And if we look at it and we take emotion out, she's probably right.
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm saying. And that's why I had to look up her background because I was curious. I'm like, who is this lady and how does she get in that position? I'm like, oh shit, she left Deloitte to take this job. And you gotta think that she was she's taking a pay cut to lead the WNBA over being the CEO of Deloitte. Yeah, I would imagine that she's taking a pay cut to a degree.
SPEAKER_06Probably. But hey, Pete, we got to think about this. And I want to make this very clear for the audience. When we're having a lot of these CBA conversations and we're having contract conversations, a lot of times the both of us sound like anti-player and pro-institution. But we're thinking as people who have dealt with balance sheets and had to make budgets, build budgets, and cut budgets and and and and and get more out of less money.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So we come from just running a business perspective. Because uh we don't care how the WNBA runs their business. If they want to give the WNBA players NBA max contracts and they continue to find funding for it, we're all for it. But we put ourselves in the decision makers' shoes. So then we take a motion out and we want to keep our job, and keeping our job is typically saying, hey, we want to always underpay labor and exploit labor because that's the best way to run a capitalist business business.
SPEAKER_02That's that's that's how most businesses are run, regardless of how anyone wants to view it. Like NBA players are paid handsomely, the owners make more than them. And yeah, you got people, they're not gonna do a deal where they're not at a minimum going 50-50 with these niggas. They are not taking the loss, they are gonna be the ones that come out on top no matter what. And that's how they got to the position where they are to where they cut the checks, anyways.
SPEAKER_06And they also but they also bear the burden of if this thing actually doesn't work, I go in the red. You get paid before I go in the red. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Exactly, exactly.
SPEAKER_06Hey, we got a few minutes left. Uh but what are your just thoughts on a star player calling out a commissioner? Like Patrick Mahomes calling out Roger or LeBron calling out Adam Silver. We've never seen this before.
SPEAKER_02No, you haven't. I think that it in their case, it's possibly necessary. One day we need Pablo Torre to find out for us, seriously, because if he can do an hour and 30-minute video of truly breaking this down, speaking to who he spoke to, tell us what the players are asking for, what
Culture Notes, Braves News
SPEAKER_02what management is essentially already telling them, hey, this is what the revenue split's gonna look like, this is how much money we believe the TV deal is gonna end up bringing, just you know, guesstimate type numbers. I would love to find out more because then I can make a much more educated decision on how I truly feel. But in terms of the player calling it out overall, it seems like it's necessary based on the way that the league feels.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and and and that's bad. That's bad. Uh dang, I had one thought. Also, why the hell would you sign an 11-year TV deal when your league is finally getting popular?
SPEAKER_02Stupid. You do five years.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you do four or five, dog. Like, what are we doing? Why would you block in for 11 years?
SPEAKER_02Well, look, like Caitlin would be, but then again, the TV networks might have been like, nah, take it or leave it.
SPEAKER_06Caitlin's in her prime. I would leave it. Like, I somebody's gonna offer the shorter deal because you're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_02Then do you want the women's games being on the USA network or something?
SPEAKER_06Like I mean, my thing is I I would want the out as the as a network. I don't want to be tied to the WNBA for 11 years. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02I thought you were talking from the W standpoint.
SPEAKER_06Bro, if I'm the network, no, I what I proposed it from the W standpoint, right? The W should should like want a shorter deal. But when you said like the networks, like get out or lay down, well, no, nigga, if I'm the network, I don't want 11 years of WNBA. I want to be able to have you because I get you I get first route of refusal in negotiations. So I can still keep you and and if and if you suck or this shit dies down, I can X you instead of having you for 11 years no matter what happens. Yeah I mean if it works, it's great for the network. But I mean, the I don't know why the W would take that. Uh, but do you want to touch Diddy real quick?
SPEAKER_02I come on, hit your keyboard. No, I mean, I tell you what, let's just quickly we could just what do you think he's gonna get sentenced?
SPEAKER_06Uh well the prosecutors asked him for 11 years. I'm thinking he'll be out uh by the summertime.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I do too. I think that he's not gonna be in Club Fed very much longer. Um, because these are fed, this is Fed, isn't it?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, it's fed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I don't think he's gonna be in there that much longer. Year tops is what I think is gonna end up with time, serve year tops.
SPEAKER_06Hey, real quick, uh AC Lee's got something to say.
SPEAKER_02Let's go for it.
SPEAKER_06I don't want to get into the Cardi B Nicki Minaj tweets back and forth uh because it went to a place that I think is disgusting and crazy and irresponsible. And them knowing wow, uh them knowing the large fan bases that they have and the way that their fan bases are, I just think it's irresponsible to even put that stuff out there. But we as black people have to do better. We don't we don't have to like each other, and I I'm okay with a little podcast beef interview, this and that, a little social media jab. Like that's cool, but like when we start to get personal and we're talking about people's loved ones and children and stuff like that, it's totally irresponsible. And then to weaponize your knowing that you can weaponize your fan base against these people and to do stuff like that, I think this is deplorable human behavior, and more reason why we should not look up to these people as idols, but simply ask the court gestures that they are.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and and and the craziest part of it, that's great, honestly. We gotta clip that. Um, but what's crazy about it overall is just the idea that you know Nicki Minaj is out here calling people's kids ugly and shit. Like, it's ridiculous, bro. And you know, she's already kind of been off the deep win. And I'm no I'm not on anybody's team, I'm not rushing cream, right? So I'm not choosing a side both and staying there. But so I think some of the stuff that Nicki Minaj has said has been super out of line. And I know that Cardi hasn't necessarily said the nicest things or so, but she ain't say shit like what she done said, and so it's just it is nasty, and they are court gestures, and that's where we leave them. That's why I don't I don't tune into the shade room or um spiritual word or any of that stuff. Now I did see this stuff on my Twitter timeline because you just don't have a choice, but like um, yeah, it's it's it's deplorable behavior, and it we it should be it shouldn't be in our culture, but I already told you who who's okay with it. So we'll do that at that. Um, probably's got something to say. Oh, to get to it. Um Brave's manager Brian Snicker, 49 years in the organization, has officially stepped down today uh to become a senior advisor for the team. Well done, Snitt. Well done, well done. Eight years as manager, seven playoff appearances, six titles, one World Series. Thank you, Snitt.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, thank you, and thank you for uh leaving gracefully when the time was right.
SPEAKER_02Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_06That's a big thing.
SPEAKER_02Gonna gonna be a hot job, too, by the way. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_06Come on over, come on over, baby. Are we ready for some picks?
SPEAKER_02I think we are ready for some picks.
SPEAKER_03All right, ladies and gentlemen, it is time for Parlay Ps college football six six six six.
SPEAKER_02All right, let's go ahead and bring it up. Hold on. That's what I was trying to do this entire time.
Picks: CFB Six-Pack & NFL Card
SPEAKER_02I was literally sitting here. I was like, damn, I gotta get these picks together. But uh, all right, let's start off with the first one. Uh, look at this, man. Your damn camera thing. All right, let's start off with the first one. We got Mississippi State at Texas AM. I like Texas AM, minus 13 and a half. 12th man shows up. Mississippi State, not that good of a team, and certainly not on the road. Next, we got Minnesota at Ohio State. Uh, Ohio State comes off a big cover against Washington a week ago at home against the Minnesota team that can't score. Yeah, we're gonna take all the points here. Let's get Michigan or Ohio State uh minus 23 and a half. Next, we got Tulsa at Memphis. Tulsa, they beat Oklahoma State. Memphis is not Oklahoma State. Games at Memphis. I like Memphis minus 19.5 here. Next, Penn State at UCLA. We all know how bad UCLA is. Penn State coming off of a tough loss at home. I think they exercise demons against a ship that's just fucking falling, you know, that's sinking right now in uh UCLA. So let's get Penn State minus 23 and a half. Next, we got Bandy at Alabama, maybe the most entertaining game of the week. I like the over here. I like over 54 and a half. I think that Diego Pavia puts up points, and I think that Alabama puts up points. I expect the high score and affair. And then finally, we got Kentucky at Georgia. We're gonna take under 49 and a half. Normally these games are always defensive, whether the game's in Athens or in Lexington. I think the 49 and a half in the under is a good play.
SPEAKER_06All right, Parlay P. I was doing so much. I didn't get to write all the picks down, but I did get my pick for uh my pick for at least three from your college football picks.
SPEAKER_02All right, let's get into that to the to the main pie here, huh?
SPEAKER_03Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for Parlay Peach ML 6.
SPEAKER_02666. So we got uh we'll start off with the Monday Nighter, crazy enough here. Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars. Love over 44 and a half. I expect there to be some points scored in this game because of the factor that it's two offensive coaches. And I think this is gonna be a big juice game for Jacksonville to where they're gonna be able to put up points and Kansas City's gonna have to chase them. Let's take over 44 and a half in the Monday Nighter. Next, we got the New England Patriots at the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. I like the Bills minus seven and a half. I think this is a weird spread. I don't think the Patriots are very good. I think that they just played the Carolina Panthers. We'll take the Bills minus seven and a half. Next, upset alert. We're gonna go ahead and take the Denver Broncos at the Philadelphia Eagles. I like the Broncos on the money line. I think it's time for Philly to lose the game. Uh for eight. The second half is very concerning. Jalen Hurts, that's a good defense you're playing against. Let me get Sean Payton. Next, we got the Miami Dolphins at the Carolina Panthers. I've been talking about my disdain for the Panthers this entire show. Give me the Dolphins on the money line, even without Tyree Kill. I think that they win this game. Next, we got the Raiders at the Colts. Another smelly team. The Raiders. I think the Colts are for real. Let's take the Colts minus six and a half. I expect them to cover this game at home. And then finally, we got the Dallas Cowboys at the New York Jets over 46 and a half. That Cowboys defense is atrocious. Jets defense isn't that much better. Jets have actually covered three out of the last four times. I like the over there.
SPEAKER_06Alrighty. So we've got Chiefs and Jags over 44 and a half.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_06Bills minus seven and a half. Yep. Broncos on the money line.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_06Upset of the week. Dolphins on the money line.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_06Colts minus six and a half.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_06Cowboys and Jets over 45 and a half. 46 and a half. Excuse me. Over 46 and a half.
SPEAKER_02Yep. You like it? I love it. And when you love it, that means it's time for Lee Three. Leeds.
SPEAKER_06All right. So for Leeds three this week, I'm going to take that uh Bam at Vandy over. I think we're going to get some points there. I like that one. You know what? That Bills Patriots line is funky. And I know that seven and a half may be the hook there, but give me the Bills minus seven and a half. And then finally, give me the Colts minus six and a half.
