SPEAKER_00

Greetings and salutations. Yes, ATN listeners. Welcome back to the All Things Demo Hall Podcast, a sophisticated version. A sophisticated version. Sophisticated version. Feeling pretty sophisticated, I will say. Salutations to you, Jake. Salutations. Salutations to our listeners. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Fantastic. Nothing wrong with that. Nope. We're closing in, I think, on episode 30. You know what I mean? Yeah, we're we're about to get out of our 20s here. Man. Yeah. We are getting older. Getting older. Getting older for sure in this world of uh podcasting. Yeah. But uh, my man, spring break is on the horizon.

SPEAKER_00

It is. I can taste it.

SPEAKER_01

Winter sports and activities uh officially all wrapped up. Yep. Uh kind of uh uh and not uh not an official dead week in the eyes of the KSHSAA and USD 115, but uh definitely a little bit more chill. Yeah. A little bit uh a little bit slower pace this week as we prep for spring break.

SPEAKER_00

Spring break 2026. Cannot wait. I really hope it's nice outside, man. You know it's gonna be. I really want it to be. At least at the moment. It's gonna be a mixed bag.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's gonna be a mixed bag. You can have some warm days, but guess what? The warm days are probably gonna be super windy. Yep. You can have some cool days, and they might be a little dreary. Yep. A little precipitation, but hey, it's still what? It's still a break. It's still a break. Still break. It's still a break. You get to take a second just to exhale. Yep. Soak it all in and get ready for the final stretch.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And that stretch is a slide, man. It goes down fast. Goes down way too fast. Yeah. That's how it's gonna feel.

SPEAKER_01

You know, be quick. Be quick, fast and furious. Speaking of fast and furious, let's go ahead and uh rip back through the was in the world of all things, Nimaha. So heading back to last a Wednesday. Wednesday. March 4th. Jay, the Thunder Girls basketball team, traveled to Silver Lake for the semifinals of substate play.

SPEAKER_00

How did they fare against the Lady Eagles? Yeah, it was a tough one. Uh tough loss. Uh 48 to 26 was the final score uh to Silver Lake. Really kind of a game that was uh pretty slow, uh, not really getting going until maybe the uh end of the you know third quarter, probably for the girls.

SPEAKER_01

Pretty methodical. Yeah. Pretty methodical. Uh defense was was solid, uh, just struggled to get the ball to go through the iron, unfortunately. Otherwise, uh heading into halftime, there was a little stretch there uh where if you know a couple shots fall, all of a sudden uh you know a double-digit deficit is cut down to single digits right before the half. Um, so some opportunities there to uh stay within striking distance weren't able to capitalize on some of those opportunities. Uh, but the girls continue to fight hard all the way to the finish, falling 48-26 and ultimately finishing 15-10 on the year, fourth place in the extremely challenging Big East League. Chub girls. Great crowd. Yeah, great crowd. Uh kind of trickled in there with that six o'clock start, you know. Uh, so some people getting off work and maybe not getting there until right at tip time. Uh, but solid crowd, uh, great degree of students, and of course a standard amount of uh friends and family um making a trip down to Silver Lake there to support the Kai. So um really good stuff though. Uh overall, um proud of again the fight, the effort. Um and it was there.

SPEAKER_00

And yeah, and you know, they I feel like it's uh lock and you know, kind of load and and reload uh for the girls because you know, like I mentioned um in my interview with uh Jordan and Emma, there's a lot of young girls right on the on the on the squad. And so there's a lot of uh good talent still coming up, and so excited for the uh future of girls basketball here at Neymar Central.

SPEAKER_01

It remains bright.

SPEAKER_00

It remains bright.

SPEAKER_01

Speaking of future, we had some student council elections that took place last Thursday. They did. So the annual gathering in a gymnasium and the uh individuals running for those executive office positions, providing speeches to the people. Yep. Right? Um who do we have ultimately claim some of these important student council executive positions for next school year, Jayden?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so uh starting uh with future leaders. I was tying it in there. Yeah, yeah. Future leaders, future leaders. Future remains bright, yes. Yes. Uh Carson Edelman uh is the at-large officer. Logan Uphouse uh will be the treasurer, and then the secretary will be Hannah Bergman, and then Maggie Jones will be the vice president president, and then Emma Hermish will be the president of Stuco. President elect Emma Hermish.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, president elect Emma Hermish. Perfect. Passing the torch on. Feel good about uh passing that torch, Jay.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I do. Good, very good about uh Emma. She's been part of Stuco Man for a while, probably since freshman year. Veteran's student council representative as a freshman, yes, yeah. So she's a veteran. Uh, you know, all the best wishes and good luck to her um and her present presidency. Um yeah, she'll she'll she'll be great. She'll be great.

SPEAKER_01

I like the uh dynamic that we have there. I can tell the listeners that uh many of those individuals have experience in leadership roles across several other groups, organizations, sports, etc. So uh great little cohort there of five aspiring leaders, um, getting ready to fill some really important positions in the world of student council. Again, that body that kind of represents it's our effort as a school to give you that opportunity to have something similar to um, you know, differing levels of governance, right? And out in the real world. Uh so really excited to see uh those guys and gals uh take those reins from a very successful student council executive body this year.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And our last meeting, I believe, is uh the Thursday after spring break. So that's it for me. And I'm out.

SPEAKER_01

Counting down the days, counting down the days, counting down the days before the transition of power around the peaceful transition of power within our student council. We'll see. Fantastic. Uh hey, we had the NC Thunderbash, uh, that fantastic uh PTO event that happens every single year. Love um after the conclusion of the uh regular season in the world of Thunder basketball, the NC Thunder Bash takes place and it had phenomenal energy. It was a phenomenal environment last Thursday at NC EMS, a lot of extra bells and whistles. It seems like something new is added every single year, and it doesn't detract from the other items uh that have historically been uh present for that event. It just, again, continues to enhance the experience. So there was a lot of like live uh uh sorry, silent and online auction items, uh some fantastic experiences like secretary for a day or janitor for a day. I tried to get Rowan the janitor for the day, uh, but I was not successful enough. Oh man. Um, you know, being able to do crosswalk duty or having lunch with uh uh principal cook, something along those lines. So a lot of great experiences. It's kind of cool to see those silent auction items. Of course, you got the little kids with the free throws, um, walking away with just, you know, armfuls of two liters of soda. Yep. Uh we officially passed the torch, though, in the world of MCing this event, because I think you have MC'd the Thunder Bash for the last several years, but you passed that torch off. I did. I believe to a Rowan Williams and a Graham Laker. Oh boy. I think those guys did a pretty solid job. Nice. Uh the contest itself was, again, wildly entertaining watching the eighth graders take on the NC EMS staffers. Um, it came down to a 27-27 tie at the end of regulation. Yes. The first legitimate tie I've witnessed, right? Wow. You know? Yeah. But then they always have the donation tally added to the final score. Uh, and I was I I thought for a second the NC staff was actually gonna claim victory this year because they were able to add something like$572 and some change to the 27 points they scored. And I was like, oh my goodness. You know, because usually it's like uh$100,$113, but you know, it's not a sizable amount, but yeah, and it all that you know usually goes to the eighth graders. So I was thinking, whoa, we're gonna see, you know, kind of like the Harlem Globe Trotter versus Washington General's upset here. It's like it's like the is the Stooge team gonna actually claim victory here? Oh man. Not to be deterred, the eighth graders did pull through. Yep, and I believe their donation tally was just north of$600. So a round of applause to wire, man. Yeah, to the eighth graders claiming a dub, continuing to hold that banner high for the students in the annual NC Thunder Bash. Do you have any specific bash memories as you reflect on your uh high school and overall educational career?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, uh, I remember it very uh fondly, actually. Um you mentioned kind of the um uh they add something new every year. Uh me and my mom, because my mom is obviously uh NCEMS staffer, uh, decided to play. Uh she got actually tripped up pretty dang bad by Allison Leaguer. Um and so she was a little banged up, but she said, you know what, let's let's continue to do it. We had a plan uh going into the game. Uh I was announcing and playing a little bit as well, so that was an interesting dynamic. Um but then uh yeah, during halftime, we had a little halftime show and showing some of our dance moves. Um and let me tell you, Jay Boogie was getting down and uh and then uh Brie Boogie, I don't know if that's what we're gonna call her, I don't know. Uh, but she wasn't obviously as good, and I got most of the crowd to uh to cheer for me and not for her. Um but yeah, man, that was that was pretty fun. Worthy bash. That's pretty fun.

SPEAKER_01

Worthy bash memory. Um I did play uh the year that Wrigley was in eighth grader, uh, and I still give Kenzie Money a hard time to this day about just absolutely abusing her in the post. So um it was one of those things where I had coached a little youth travel team with a few of her classmates for for a handful of years. So um Kinzie talking a little bit of trash, I just made sure uh I scored it on the interior. So and uh uh having worked with Lawson a little bit in uh this past winter's uh uh Saturday morning hoops, um, he was there uh Thursday night, and so was Kenzie. And I said, Hey Lawson, come over here. Make sure you ask Big Sis here about the time she played in it, and she got a little revved up. No, don't you put up so it was uh no uh good stuff there with the bash, and I know there were some really uh entertaining moments in this year's contest as well. Yep um nothing on the docket last Friday um in the world of uh all things Dima Hall. I will say there was something Thursday night besides the bash. Oh yeah, you've been you've been eager to discuss this for days.

SPEAKER_00

Days, dude. Do go on days. Yes, so uh speaking of dancing, um me and my mother and a few family friends went over to Kansas City to partake, to delight ourselves in dancing with the stars live. Yes, ATN listeners, we went to Dancing with the Stars live. Did not know what I was gonna get myself into, Mr. Williams. Not at all. Not at all. Very pleasantly surprised though.

SPEAKER_01

Live competition. I see I see this being like all of a sudden the movie Grease breaking out where it's the uh where it's the hand jive and they have the actual dance competition and you just you just steal the show. Is that what happened? Well, so it was just yeah, it was just a bunch of Was this an immersive experience, like you yourself can get up and start dancing, or was this just still a show?

SPEAKER_00

No, I was in the nosebleed, so I was just watching the whole thing happen. Um, but yeah, they would just come out, they would dance to a song. It would be like a you know a a crazy song where they get up and they jive and they have fun, and then they would just switch it up to a very like sad and almost like feeling all these emotions, and I got you know, two white girls next to me, they're screaming their heads off when they're taking their shirts off or they're you know doing what I mean. It was it was a lot, but I had a smile on my face the entire time. I was just so entertained, man. Oh gosh. So I recommend it. Uh, I think they're coming to Omaha a couple weeks from now.

SPEAKER_01

If if any of our listeners watch the show Dancing with the Stars, basically it was uh a successful, absolutely enthralling live recreation of that. Yes, you know, so the showmanship, because I I've I've seen clips, like I haven't watched Dancing with the Stars. Um but I've seen you know clips, commercials, etc. So yeah, you know, the classic uh when you say you know, shirt being ripped off, I think of the classic Michael Jackson where he throws the the bottom of the shirt behind him and kind of does the little heel turn action. So you're uh so that's that's what really had a lot of the crowd going crazy. Yes, crazy. So again, anything that I can imagine is on the television show you were able to partake in live. Yes. Um and obviously I can see this being your cup of tea, sir. Oh, dude.

SPEAKER_00

It was and I didn't expect I didn't expect, I didn't know what to uh to walk into. Like I didn't know what was going on. Uh I was just there for the vibes, and man, the vibes were delivering. Um like I said, the two the two ladies next to me were getting after it, and I was to a point where I was screaming, I was clapping, I was having a good time uh watching some some stars dance because they don't have the like the celebrities uh dance with them. It's just the stars, it's just the professional dancers dancing. Awesome. That's really what it was, and so man, it was entertaining.

SPEAKER_01

Riding that energy amazing wave of entertainment you rolled through Friday and into Saturday. Yep. All right, where um we had a very successful trip very forensics team down to Effingham, competed in the dominance ACCHS sweepstakes. Highlights included 18 events breaking into the finals with five new championship qualifiers. Uh first place finishes for uh King Boogie right here in the category of poetry. Sirius Solo, uh champion Olivia Ganstrom. Liam Felder took first place in humorous solo, Logan Upphouse, first place in informative speaking, and in IDA improvised duet acting. It looks like uh looks like Olivia and Jaden finally got the dub there.

SPEAKER_00

We finally got the dub. We reunited. Um and yeah, like like I said, uh riding that high from uh Thursday night, feeling pretty good about myself. Did you do any dancing in that ID? I was just about to say I did a little dancing, did a little this, a little that. Uh I didn't take my shirt off, unfortunately, but yeah, uh it was it was definitely a good time. Awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Uh rolling through the rest of the weekend, uh relatively chill Sunday, and nothing that necessarily took place here. I I say nothing that necessarily took place because we've had such a uh full slate of activities or events at USD 115 facilities through the month of February and early March. So, you know, kind of expecting something else to be going on. Right. Um we did gather uh and have our spring sports parent meeting on Sunday night. Uh so a quick little introduction between uh a lot of the spring sports uh parents and the respective coaches for softball, baseball, track, and boys golf. Uh so always nice to kind of have that review and refresher there. Uh rolled into Monday, we had a little bit of uh FCCLA burrito making. Burritos were made. Burritos were made. So made burritos. Burrito making night is always always fascinating. Like I said, if you didn't get up and just peek through the glass front doors just to see. Um, just you know, again, like uh how would you imagine a facility, a burrito making facility, to be, you know, organized and structured? Like that that's what I would envision, right? Of course, a lot of automation in today's world, but hey, uh thank you, SCCLA's, for uh the thousands of burritos that were ultimately produced uh and the deliciousness that I know that many Thunder patrons are going to be able to enjoy. Uh the convenience of just throwing one of them phenomenal SCCL burritos in the microwave. Yeah, and you know, get a little sustenance. Yeah. Get a little sustenance. Uh that kind of brings us to the present here, Jay. We haven't had a lot going on. Like I said, a little bit more of a chill week here as we lead into spring break. Um, but I think we do have a special visitor to join us after our first break here. It's a Danny update, correct? Little Danny update. Danny Childress is back, and we're gonna sit down with Danny, and Jay is going to visit with Mr. Childress and get a little bit of update on uh everything in his world when we get back right after this.

SPEAKER_03

And if you have not yet, please go order a yearbook at yearbookordercenter.com. The code is 17283. We have been working super hard as a staff making our ideas come to life and are excited for all of you to see them.

SPEAKER_04

Have a great rest of the year from the NCHS radar.

SPEAKER_00

I'm Jaden Seitz here with a little one-on-one sit-down with everybody's favorite. Danny Boy, welcome to the podcast.

SPEAKER_05

What's up?

SPEAKER_00

Again, my main.

SPEAKER_05

Good to be back.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, let's get you those applause real quick. Welcome back, sir. It's been a little bit, it's been a hot minute, as they say. A little bit of a hot minute. How are you how how are you doing? How are you feeling?

SPEAKER_05

Oh, it's almost as good as ever, honestly. Yeah, that's good. Better than expected.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, your hair is back. I know we don't have a uh camera here in the uh ATN headquarters, but your hair is growing back. And what'd you tell me that one time? I have no idea. It's a little bit blonder.

SPEAKER_05

It's blonder than last.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's a yeah, it's a bit blonder. Um, yeah, so just kind of uh reinform or uh uh let's dive back into kind of what's going on in your life and and the treatment. Um you said you went back to Memphis when again?

SPEAKER_05

Uh the last time I was there would have been the like first week of February. Okay. Um I had an MRI. We really didn't learn anything just because of the fact that everything that shows up on an MRI after radiation is all kind of messed up. There's not really any way to tell what it is. So effectively it was a pointless trip. Dang. Um they did the radiologists did recommend that they do a much more advanced MRI when I go back, and it'll be my next MRI will be in exactly two weeks from today. Okay. So that'll probably give us the answers, whether it's good or bad. Yeah. Yeah. So tired of waiting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, tired of waiting for sure. Um and it sucks that it was kind of a bit of a wasted trip. Did you do anything? At least fun in Memphis? I mean, you've been there, geez, for how long now? You gotta know that some of the ins and outs of the place.

SPEAKER_05

Um I mean, I never really have time to actually do anything other than kind of go out to dinner. And that's honestly what I find fun is go find knife restaurants that have good food, but other than that, it's kind of just sleep.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep. I feel that. Um just kind of reflecting back on um really it all uh, you know, through when you first got diagnosed, and that's been that's been a while ago. Right? No, and we've we've talked about it a bunch, but just kind of reflecting back, um what how do you feel like um maybe some of the lessons that you've learned through all this, uh just for yourself?

SPEAKER_05

Um you know, I I don't know if it's like as much of a lesson for myself, but it's like I'll use this as an example. I had to write a scholarship when I was I was writing a scholarship essay like a month ago.

SPEAKER_00

Because we have to do those a lot. Yes, we do.

SPEAKER_05

And what my prompt was and it was like this was a scholarship that I got just because I had cancer, so it's it became available to me. Gotcha. And one of my question, like the essay question was what advice would you give to other people in your s to my in my situation? And I just told them to do whatever you can to have fun. And that's I mean that's being nine away being nine hours away from home when I was in Memphis for almost just over three months for radiation was a long time. Not a lot of stuff to do because I'm always tired, always sick, it was like that kinda sucked. Yeah. So whenever you do I did whatever I go to my time where I didn't feel like crap to go do something fun. Right. And uh made it a lot easier to get through.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So finding the joy. Yeah, like, yeah, finding the joy.

SPEAKER_05

Joy. And the other big one was sleep.

SPEAKER_00

Sleep. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like we we um underestimate those those two things a lot. Um, you know, me and Mr. Williams often uh say on the podcast, you know, uh look around, smell the roses, right? Because this is our senior year, right? This is it. And so uh just kind of yeah, I agree with you, finding the joy and in those little things and also sleep is very important as well. Yeah. It's very important as well, yes. Um definitely have felt that over, you know, with all the sports and all the all the things, all the extra um activities that that are going on. It's definitely um important to have some good sleep there too. Um yeah, so you kind of touched a little bit on the scholarships. Um what does the future look like for you? Where you're going uh to college if at all?

SPEAKER_05

I am looking probably gonna go to Washburn Tech. I don't really know exactly I haven't actually got accepted yet, but my application's in and everything. Okay. Um but I mean I really that's the only place I really applied to because I didn't I didn't even know about didn't even know how to do a scholarship application a month ago.

SPEAKER_00

I mean they yeah, they're a little difficult sometimes. They're a little difficult. Yeah. Uh what what are you gonna do at Washington Tech? What's kind of the career field?

SPEAKER_05

I the career field I'll kind of go into is like working like in a plant like cooking company. But I'll like assembly line work, but knowing how to fix like conveyors. Okay. Um awesome, awesome.

SPEAKER_00

That sounds sounds pretty fun.

SPEAKER_05

Install and maintain, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Uh cool beans, cool beans for sure. Um kind of circling back to to reflecting, and and this has kind of you know been a r reflective um maybe interview, uh, this one. Um, but you know, we talk a lot about your resilience resiliency um throughout the whole season. Um but I didn't maybe I and I didn't maybe didn't ask enough questions, but I didn't maybe truly understand what kept you going um you know through those hard moments and whatnot.

SPEAKER_05

You know I don't even know. I there was never really a time where I like I never wanted to like just give up. And that still like never happened. But um I think it was just football was the main thing that kept me going because I I mean I I don't know what things would have been I feel like things would have been a lot more a lot different if we wouldn't have made it to the state championship and go to that game. Yeah. Because I mean if there was if there was a video of me during the regional or sectional and substate football games, it was not the same Danny you would know. Yeah. Let's just say in the Sebetta game, I I at the fourth quarter I ended up weighing in the corner in my room because I was scared.

SPEAKER_00

Gosh, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um man, you just you just kept fighting on, even though even though you really didn't know what was pushing you. Well, obviously the football and and I'm sure and we again we we've talked about this too, just the community support too. I I'm sure had to, you know, play a factor um in your your fight um against it. And so yeah, I just think Yeah, the the the the way the way the football season ended, man, it couldn't have been any better, right? Like just you hoisting up the trophy, right? Like we we could talk that that's something I will probably never forget. Like I'll never forget that, and you you probably won't, and the and the guys on the football team probably won't either, and that's just again, like uh looking back, man, what a what a time.

SPEAKER_05

Um again, props to you uh, Pokey would have been more fun if it was a closer game, just so I know, right? Like down to the line. We lucky knew it was over at like the third quarter.

SPEAKER_00

No, we did, which was honestly fun as a player being on the field.

SPEAKER_05

Like, we got this, but yes, it would have it was fun being on the sideline and just be like halfway through the third quarter, yeah, they gave up already.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, but uh man, uh the journey's still going. Yep. Right? The journey's still going. Uh definitely not done yet for you um in your fight, but uh just keep fighting on, like we always say on the podcast. And um thanks for sitting down with me, a little chit-chat. Oh yeah, no problem. Reflecting on uh, you know, kind of what was what what happened um in the past, what's going on in the future for you. So appreciate it, Danny, as always.

SPEAKER_05

Good to be on here.

SPEAKER_00

That that's all I got for you.

SPEAKER_05

All right.

SPEAKER_01

We might have to work salutations in every episode from here on out. Let's switch it up a bit. Um, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. Always great to sit down with our guy Daniel.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Always great to sit down with our guy Daniel.

SPEAKER_00

And he and he told me after the interview, he was like, you know, I I kind of enjoy this podcast thing. And he he kind of mentioned that a couple times too in terms of how comfortable he was with with talking. But he says, you know, I don't really like to speak to people, but man, when I get on the podcast and just talk with you, I just want to talk your leg off. Kind of thing. I'm like, all right, sweet. Anytime. Anytime. Anytime Danny wants to join us.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. Absolutely. Um, hey, looking ahead into the uh will be for the world of all things, Nimahaw. As we've already noted, spring break officially starts uh a few hours from now, Jay. We're recording here on Friday the 13th. Recording here Friday the 13th. Uh yeah, we could have. We could have. You know, missed the boat on that. Yeah, missed the boat on that. But I know you would have been distracted anyways because all you've been thinking about is dancing with the stars. Um Friday the 13th here, uh spring break officially starting at 3.05. Yep, P.M. this uh this afternoon. And I guess if you have qualified for early out, uh maybe a little bit sooner. Yeah. You know, around 2.30 or so. Um but looking forward to spring break. Uh we do have forensics traveling to Clay Center tomorrow. That's an 8 a.m. start. Uh so one more forensics meet before spring break officially gets going on. Of course, across spring break, we'll have some baseball practices, some softball practices. I know track and golf have not officially started yet, but I know some of our participants will be out on the links. Uh we'll be making some laps around the track. Yep. Um, we've got some play action going on as well as we get ready for the uh premiere of The Little Mermaid on uh March 27th. So that's just around the corner here. Yep. Uh so we've still got some activities going on between now and when we return to school on Monday the 23rd. Uh there's also a JV uh baseball tournament over at Sabetha on uh Saturday the 21st. Okay, baseball and after. But spring break's the big thing. So we'll kind of wrap up uh this week's ATN with um spring break plans. Jay, what do you got going on? Spring break plans and or memories.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay, well, all right. Uh well, plans include going to the Lake of the Ozarks. Oh my goodness, I cannot wait just to yeah, just to breathe, just to relax a little bit. Not that I'm not breathing here, but uh yeah, no, just to kind of get away and uh enjoy our own little oasis out there. Uh props to uh Pops and Nanny always um for the lake house and letting us stay. We got the whole family coming up, uh, Uncle coming up from St. Louis, so it's it's gonna be a wonderful time and a wonderful spring break. We're finally gonna crack I don't know if you watched the F1 movie at all, uh, but man, we we started getting into F1, so this is actually a spring break memory. Um last spring break, we started watching the F1 uh Drive to Survive series on Netflix as a family, and we were real we were getting into it.

SPEAKER_01

And for for our listeners, if you're if this is uh above your head right now, we're talking racing. Yes, we're gonna do that. We're talking racing, we're talking, we're talking like indie car racing, right? Indy car racing open wheel racing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. But European style um yeah, racing, because indie cars more like there's a lot of different things.

SPEAKER_01

Indy car is more than what you're referring to is is we're kind of like uh we're kind of like uh urban setting, right? Like like an actual metropolitan setting, you're rolling off the streets, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's it's intense. Um so yeah, we started watching that uh Netflix series, and man, we got hooked. Like we were just on it.

SPEAKER_01

Um I kind of treat this the the city streets of Seneca in my little Corolla like an F1 series, right? That's what I'm saying, man. Like something around that corner, yeah. Like I got that red duct tape holding the Sound Effects passage up on the front bumper. Yeah, well I still have yeah, uh let's get let's get the F1 series to visit Seneca. Let's look at the old brick streets of Seneca. Can you imagine some of them cars ripping down six streets? Seneca Grand Prix, man. Jeez. Oh yeah, that would be fun.

SPEAKER_00

All right, I hijacked the story. Keep on going. You're good. Um so yeah, we were we were we were watching that, enjoying it. Um, and so the F1 movie came out uh just recently, uh starring uh Brad Pitt, um, great actor.

SPEAKER_01

Christian Bale, is he in that one?

SPEAKER_00

Chris Yes, the old Batman Batman, one of the older Batman. Yep, and so uh it's it's a legit movie. We haven't watched it yet. We're finally gonna crack it open. All right. Um watching on um, believe Apple TV, which we gotta pay for, but uh we'll see how that goes. Um so yeah, can't wait for that. Can't wait for uh skirting around on the old jet ski as well. Because man, that is my uh that's my ultimate favorite. So jet ski guy. Awesome.

SPEAKER_01

So Lil Lake Trip. Fantastic. Sounds like a great little uh uh rejuvenating spring break on the horizon for you. Yep. Uh gonna jump in, uh jump in the old uh vehicle tomorrow morning and head head west. We're gonna go skiing. So we got a little family ski trip on the horizon. Uh my dad was an avid skier, uh, routinely would go out uh ski as a family as often as we could, at least once a year, um uh while he was still around. Uh so we still kind of uh do it a little bit in uh in in honor of him, uh kind of a little you know trip down memory lane. So uh be visiting uh Breckenridge, um, of course, taking my family, uh my brother and his son, his oldest son, will be joining us. My uncle and my uh cousin will also be joining us. Oh uh so looking to have a good time. Packed house, yeah. Yeah, packed house, and this is this is my uncle Carrie and my cousin Carrie and my brother Carrie. Uh and I've shared that with you students before. You know, you find my name unique is Kelly. Well, I I'm uh I'm uh it's Kelly and Carrie, super cute. Uh my dad and uncle were actually the first Kelly and Carrie. And then we've got uh, you know, I uh there was Kelly and Carrie, and then and I came around, and my dad was like, well, we'll go Kelly Jr. at the at the request of my great-grandma Roberta, who uh gave birth to uh my my grandpa Robert. So, you know, Roberta had Robert, and then uh Robert had Kelly, and then Kelly was like, Well, I think we'll go with Kelly Jr. And then um, you know, at the at the behest of my great grandma. Um, but then uh now what did my brother just do? They just had their third child. Oh well. A beautiful baby boy. Nice. And he went ahead and said, All right, let's keep this train rolling. So uh Carrie James Williams II. Oh wow. So now when we get together, it'll be uh when my dad was still around, it'd been Kelly, Kelly, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, and Carrie. But now it's just gonna be Kelly, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, and Carrie. But um real, yeah. Now, of course, some middle names and whatnot. Right, right. Um uh but uh yeah, we'll be gathering out in Breckenridge. Really looking forward to that. Skiing Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and then staying on Thursday. Staying at a cabin? Yeah, a little cabin action, a little house action up there on the slopes. So a little ski in, ski out. Yeah. Really looking forward to it though, because love skiing. You know, happy place for you. Sounds like it's jet ski on the lake. Yes, it is. Let me let me post up on the side of a slope and just kind of check out the scenery and enjoy the vibe and then and then and then just you know, shred the west rest of the way down, baby. Absolutely love it. And we've been doing it for years. Kids are kids are avid skiers as well, so uh um, yeah. Getting ready to have a good time. A little drive time, a little windshield time, but it's too bad. How how far is that? It's about eight hours to Denver, and then from Denver to Breckenridge is about another hour, but uh it'll be worth it. It'll be worth it. It better be.

SPEAKER_00
