Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Welcome back. Welcome back. Dayden. What is up? It's good to see you, sir, on this wonderful, wonderful Wednesday here in mid-April. Finally got on time. Finally on time, yeah. Yeah, able to sneak in here and sneaking it in, we are because I think we're less than 24 hours away from doing what, Jay? Going on a little senior trip. A little senior trip, and I have no interest in uh recording a podcast while we're on trip down in Branson. Yeah, that would be a lot. Although we could go live and get some phenomenal content on the Branson strip.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that would be pretty dope.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it would be pretty dope. Going live uh on the go-karts, live at the show. And just live on the strip. Yeah. I mean, it's not Vegas, which I've never been, but I've seen uh live action on the strip, big as big as a podcast and uh uh uh video recording. But uh hey, it's good to get this in.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. And I feel like Branson is like the you know Vegas of the Midwest or something like that. Really? I think so. I don't know about that. I mean, but I mean, yeah. In terms of entertainment, not everything else. Okay. Let's take everything else aside. Yeah, yeah, it's just like.
SPEAKER_04I understand that entertainment is an entertainment. I and hey, I got a good story about that when we get to talking about the will be, but you know, let's go ahead and let's refocus here. Yep. We got we dove right in. We dove right in. We dove right in. We dove way ahead, too. Yeah, we did. But welcome in, listeners. It's great to have you back here for another episode of the All Things Dema Hall comp podcast, uh, where we talk about the was, the is, and the will be in the world of all things Dimahal. And uh Jay, let's uh jump back into the was here. Dialing back to last Thursday, April 9th. Hello Varsity down in uh Centralia. They got some new facilities going on down there in Centralia. Great little softball diamond. Uh, they got some cages going up as well uh for a little warm-up and a little batting. Nice um really coming along down there uh in our uh uh local neighbor to the south. The ladies dispatched uh the Lady Panthers nine to zero in game one, but we shut out. Did no big time shutout, really solid performance as well. Um didn't get into too many jams, and anytime we did, we were able to get gals out on the base paths with some phenomenal defensive play. Uh did not get game two in, though, because of lightning. Hey, so the thunder was there already.
SPEAKER_03And surely the lightning would follow, you know.
SPEAKER_04On a multiple multiple fronts, the throne thunder was present. Um, but yeah, did not get game two in. Uh potential makeup date for that is TBD. We are to the point, though, where less than a month of school effectively remaining, chances of getting some of these um canceled or uh delayed contests in are pretty low. But great job to the gals getting uh one victory last Thursday down in Centralia against the Lady Panthers. And the World of Middle School track, the NCMS tracksters had to delay the start of their season to this past Monday. Last Thursday's meet that was scheduled for Sabetta was postponed because of the unfavorable weather forecast. But we did see the SPPS Middle School Trojans head down to Frankfurt and have some stellar performances. I think a several records fell. Boys, girls, seventh, and eighth. But I want to give a shout out to my guy Simon Strathman. I think he claimed three individual records. Wow. I'm not 100% sure on that. I heard it a couple of times between now and last week, but at the moment it's just escaping me. I believe the high jump record for sure, maybe triple jump for boys in seventh grade. Um, but yeah. Probably took down his uh brother's records too. If Caleb had some, he definitely would have overcome someone.
SPEAKER_03Potentially, potentially.
SPEAKER_04But not only is uh Simon uh teamed up with some of the other guys on the uh Kidwind team taking second place uh in their uh I think regional competition this past week as well. Shout out uh yeah, he's also uh uh dominating dominating the seventh grade track circuit there in the OTL. So keep it up, middle school tracksters, and hope to get some more of that information that we can share uh in the coming weeks from from both middle schools. Jaden, we had some stuff going on on Friday. One item, and we had a lot of other stuff that was cancelled slash postponed. Feel listen.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so JV Golf traveled to Sabetha, and although they did not log any top three finishes, we still had some solid performances. Some solid teams there. Um again, this was a two-man scramble. Um so Jacoby and Baxter teamed up with a shot of uh 49, with uh Landon and Kendrick notching a 57, and then in stroke play, Gus logged a 56 while Camden scored a score of 52.
SPEAKER_04And I believe uh all of those numbers kept us right out of placing. So right out of the top six or seven or so, and those JV uh standings. Baseball, we were slated to have the JV travel down to Topeka to take on the Hayden Wildcats in a single contest, and we were slated to host the Hayden Wildcats here in a doubleheader. But because of the rain, because of the moisture, it did not happen. And naturally, right after we cancel, make those decisions, what does the sky do? The clouds clear, the sun shines, the temperature warms up ten degrees, the wind blows. Now, we were not gonna be able to get those fields ready, unfortunately, for Friday night. Um, but uh still TBD on potential rescheduled dates for those contests. Uh hopefully uh some more information on that to come within the next few days. Uh Saturday, again, because of the moisture, uh the youth baseball clinic that was scheduled for 10 a.m. was postponed. Uh third through fifth grade, they're gonna finish up tonight from 5 30 to 7 o'clock. Nice. Uh and then the sixth through eighth graders are gonna finish up Friday night from 5 30 to 7 o'clock. So even though uh didn't get in on Saturday, still gonna be able to get those boys some cuts. Yep, some time in the cage, yeah, some practice in the batting box.
SPEAKER_03Some some must-needed time in there, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Some must-needed time. I'm putting bat on ball. There we go, baby. Looking forward to that. And uh it's quite an event to spectate. Those kids have an absolute blast. Absolute blast. So we appreciate the NCHS baseball team, Coach Mo Mayberry, Coach Mayberry, Coach Garrity, uh, and all the players uh putting that on for our uh Nima Hall youth. Um Saturday. I don't think anything else happened, so let's move on to Monday, right?
SPEAKER_03Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on now.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, prom, Jay, how's prom?
SPEAKER_03Oh, it was great. Oh, it was honestly, uh, you know, I have a crazy story to share, and I'll I'll try to share, I'll I'll try to share it as as quickly as possible. But basically, uh my communication skills beforehand were not maybe the best. Oh no. Did you put the date in a bind?
SPEAKER_04Well, here's what happened. So I Is this the last time she's she's uh going anywhere or indulging any experience with the city?
SPEAKER_03No, I just I just forgot to uh tell her where my you know where we're gonna meet, where my my house is for that matter. All the important things. But you gotta think, you know, I'm thinking, I'm I'm actually laying in my bed Friday night thinking, you know, I'll text her tomorrow, be like, hey, here's where I live, let's meet here, blah, blah, blah, at this time. You know, the whole nine yards. And we had already kind of talked about where, you know, what time she should come in Seneca. I just didn't tell her, you know, where at. Um, and so then I wake up and I don't know if you know, but I feel like the whole town went through the internet just shut off. No, it was not. I would take Saturdays like that every weekend for eternity. This specific Saturday was not the time to uh have that problem.
SPEAKER_04So a little bit on you, but also just circumstance. Yeah. Like that's a tough break.
SPEAKER_03And so that's is a huge tough break. And so she on the other side was like, I don't know if this kid's dead. Uh like they were gonna go check the hospital because they had came to town, thank the Lord that they had come to town, uh, but they didn't know like where to go. And so they were parked at Casey's. Oh my god, we were because it was getting around that time where it was like, okay, they should be here. So me and my mom, we drove out, we split, you know, divide and conquer, trying to find her all around town. We didn't look at Casey's, and then what finally when I looked at Casey's, she wasn't there, she moved to another gas station. And it's just like, oh my goodness. So eventually, I you know, I went out to Livia's place. I was like, you gotta call this girl because they're friends or whatever. I was like, you gotta call this girl because I have no service, I have not, I can't make any phone calls and I can't text. Um, and so eventually we got the call, we met, and so it all turned out well, but um my goodness. Wow, well, that's a great story.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that is a good story. Because yes, uh, yeah, all forms of digital communication were down in Seneca on Saturday. That's that's all. Yeah, so you're right. I didn't even think of that. If you had not established clear-cut plans prior to Saturday, yeah, which you know, due to the convenience of communication and how immediate it is, a lot of us, you know, adults, teens, probably do not, you know, um plan for meeting places and meeting times twenty-four hours in advance anymore. It's like, hey, I'll reach out to tomorrow. Right. You know, we'll meet up here or here, right? It's yeah, gizzu lean either or thing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I didn't even think of that, but wow, what a story. But it was like I said, it was all it all worked out, and and and she her her dress was beautiful, and you know, my text was I I feel like pretty good looking as well. Um pulled it off. You guys pulled it off. Yeah, I felt everybody looked great. Everybody looked great.
SPEAKER_04As much of a curmudgeon as I can be about prom, I mean, I I still do enjoy seeing everybody get all dolled up. Yep. Uh I enjoy a little bit of the a little bit of the poppin' circumstance. I you know, I don't get me wrong here. The meal was good. Love me a pork chop. I mean, you can't go wrong with a you know delicious old ham steak like that. Like give it to me, baby. That was absolutely awesome. Yeah, I could eat in three or four of those sitting in their secondary gym, enjoying the dinner. Um, I heard the Grand March was was stellar as well. We've had yeah, we've had less favorable weather uh conditions and environmental conditions for the Grand March. But um, and it's nice to see that there are some positive legacies from the COVID era. We were kind of talking about that. How Grand March used to take place in the gymnasium. Now down on Main Street, you get to take in that ambiance of small town, yeah, Ike's America, almost 1950s, 60s leveled Main Street there. So really great stuff.
SPEAKER_03Uh she said it was the best, she said it was the best prom she's been to. Whoa. Yeah, that's great. And that's goodly because of the dance. Let me tell you, the dance was rocking this year, J. I was just getting in, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_04I was just getting to the dance. I was gonna ask how the dance went. It looked like uh 8 30 to 10 30-ish. We had some some strong performance. You know, I I camp out in the commons just kind of monitoring uh uh movement in and out of the building, and uh there wasn't a ton of bathroom breaks. Usually it's you know a whole group of guys and girls every three minutes in and out of the commons. That wasn't the case on Saturdays, so King Boogie kept everybody on the dance floor, is what I'm gathering.
SPEAKER_03Pretty much, pretty much. Um, and yeah, I mean we were just getting after it, and then you know, there were some guys playing poker, you know, all the power to them, right? They brought a poker setting. Cormick Hike. Cormac Hike leased everybody, dude, like a hundred bucks. That's nice. I'm like, wow, good for Cormac. Should have been playing a little bit of poker on the side as well. But it was a it was a great time, you know. Last you know, prom dance for me, last dance, school dance here. Uh, you know, couldn't have gone out any better. So that's awesome.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's good to hear. And uh it sounds like everything was safe and entertaining at After Prom. Yep. Uh I always love talking about uh after prom activities and and the gifts. Uh do we still have random uh giveaways? Uh yeah, we have the the drawings or whatever. Um I still to this day have my orange uh igloo cooler. Ooh. Just like a little lunch or like six, you know, standard-sized cans fit in that bad boy, right? Like with maybe a few ice cubes. Yeah, all right. To this day, that cooler's now like 23 or 24 years old.
SPEAKER_03Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_04To this very day. And it's always a great little conversation piece because I'll I'll show up to a post-football gathering, or you know, we'll go on a field trip, or somebody's like, wow, where'd you get that little orange cooler? Oh, after prom 2002.
SPEAKER_03After promo two, baby. I wanted a mini fridge. Um walked away with the mini fridge. Couldn't get the mini fridge. Well, you know, uh Bryce Havercamp was picking, and he the first name he chooses is Jordan Haverkamp. I said, This is uh nepotism. Yeah, that's some rigged stuff. Oh so yeah, she she got the fridge, and I think Olivia got the fridge as well. Yeah, unbelievable. Look at that. Uh so were those the top gifts? Yeah, those were the top gifts for the most part. I mean, there was a speaker, um might have been some headphones too, but those those two items I was I was ironing.
SPEAKER_04I heard we had a mechanical bull who is the best at riding the mechanical bull.
SPEAKER_03Ooh. There's a couple times where the they had like a eight-second bell. So if you ask for the cowboy, is what they called it, and that's just crazy. Go until you're done. Yeah, go until you're done. And if you last eight seconds, you know, they ring the the bell or whatever. I think uh I want to say Emma Hermish. Yeah, shout out Emma Hermish on that. Yeah, hold on here. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Emma. There you go. It's that southern Nemahawk County coming out in Emma right there, baby. That's where the real cowboys and cowgirls reside.
SPEAKER_03That's for sure. And then the uh on the guy's side, I think it was Logan Richardson as well. He was getting after, I mean, he was on that bull, uh, he was practicing. I think he was on there for like five times because I kept seeing him on there and they're ringing, you know. So shout out to him as well.
SPEAKER_04Nice job. Nice job, our bull rider. So uh great. I was ready to rip right past Saturday, but uh we had some good reflection on your final prom here at NCHS and a big shout out to uh Mrs. Steiner and Mrs. Voard, all the junior uh class leadership that helped to uh organize and decorate and share all the information and get all the table setting put down and just communicate and schedule everything, uh except make sure that all forms of digital communication were available on Saturday. So they might have failed that we didn't get it back.
SPEAKER_03We didn't get it back till like nine o'clock, I feel like I think it rolled in at dinner.
SPEAKER_04I think all of a sudden, all of a sudden the the phone was 5G and uh I had you know like 73 emails all of a sudden arrive. So it was it was uh it was good stuff. But uh yeah, big shout out to the uh junior class uh leadership team along with their sponsors um for just uh putting on a phenomenal show, a uh black and white affair. Yep. And I think everybody had a good time. Yeah. Night and black and white. Night and black and white. Uh nothing taking place on Sunday except recuperating from pump prom. All right. Um and then Monday, we had a lot of action. And here, here's where it got interesting. Because of the weather, we were not able to host softball and baseball. Okay. Uh, there was a chance uh ultimately I just uh we weren't gonna be able to pull it off. Familiar enough now after uh doing this for a few years or trying to get these fields ready, uh, just wasn't gonna happen. However, over East, uh they were gonna be able to get those fields ready. And they were able to get one of the softball fields ready, not both. So JV Softball was postponed, looking at picking up some extra games on Friday, May 1st. More information on that will be shared at a later date. Uh, but we did have a lot of stuff going on earlier this week, Jay. And ironically, all of it. And I mean all of it was over at Sabetha. Wow. Middle school track check. Uh forensics check. Oh. Varsity golf check. Baseball and softball check and check. So let's dive in to the day that was events over at Sebetha with the little varsity golf.
SPEAKER_03Jay, how'd they do? Yeah, varsity golf, stellar showing, placing third as a team with Brady Cook taking 10th. Very standard. And get this LT Layton Thomas winning the Sabetha invitation. Got the dub with first place.
SPEAKER_04Nice job, LT. Great job. Uh and well, we got the round of applause rolling, not just because of those individual accolades, but a third place finish in that field at that course, really stellar for us. Something I don't think we've uh uh done, haven't finished that well over at Sabatha for for a few years at least. So uh good stuff going on with Thunder JV and a varsity golf. Sir. LT. Keep feeding us. Keep keep going. Not LT, J. Oh. Sorry. Wrong guy.
SPEAKER_03I was like, yeah, keep wrong guy.
SPEAKER_04Do we have LT? Where do you where is he? He's around. We could bring him in and talk about that golf. We can break down all 18 holes. Right. But for the sake of time, let's keep with the golf, though. JV, uh, they did not actually compete over in Sabatha, but they were just a little further east over at the Hiawatha Red Hawk JV Invite. Um, it was a stroke play event across the board, so there was no scramble, there was no teaming up. Gus, Ben, Luke, Ian, Isaac, and Camden as a team, collectively, second place overall. There you go. That yeah, that deserves a round of applause. Nice job, gentlemen, in that nine-hole event. JV and varsity. Sorry, I just said JB softball did not play. Let's get varsity softball and varsity baseball.
SPEAKER_03Tell us how things finished out. Jay. All right, so varsity softball um was able to get both games in, like we said, against the Lady J's. Um, each game day each game came down to the wire, though. They were close. With the gals ultimately falling by one run in each, five to four and eight to seven in game two.
SPEAKER_04And I tell you what, watching both games, it was one of those things where whoever whoever won was gonna feel like they escaped with two wins, and whoever lost was gonna feel like, oh my goodness, we gave things away. Um it was one of those uh nights where both teams who who who had the fewest amount of of mistakes at critical times, both squads were guilty of. And both squads were making good plays, too. Uh but there was some routine action um in the field uh for both Sebetha and us that you know usually you make them uh might be a little bit tighter because of the rivalry situation. Uh, but tip of the cap the Sabetha uh getting things done there um and ultimately went in five to four and eight to seven. On the varsity baseball side of things, though, game one went the way of the thunder. That was and it wasn't close, Jake. I don't know if we've done this to the Sebetta boys in baseball uh in our in our short history. I mean, we've not been playing against each other for more than eight or nine seasons, um, and it was a four-inning affair after Carter Hike sent one a moonshot over left field for a three-run three run three run home run. Yeah, uh, and that gave us a final score of 17 to zero. 17 to 0. I couldn't even believe 17 to 17.
SPEAKER_03Like, no way.
SPEAKER_04Yes, yeah, so it was uh it was a quick work of the Blue Jays in game one, but it was the opposite of game two, not in terms of dominating fashion uh and roles reversed. It was just a heck of a contest, a back and forth affair. Ultimately, Sabetta surviving and eking out the 10-9 win over the boys in purple.
SPEAKER_03Man, man. 10 to 9?
SPEAKER_04A lot of runs being scored.
SPEAKER_0327 runs in one. That's what I mean. Like that is that is a lot.
SPEAKER_0426 runs in one night. That's that's entertaining for the fans, which always good. Not too bad. Um, as we stated, uh, we had I think a couple of kids participating in forensics over at Sebetha. Not sure on those results yet. Yeah, really. Still waiting on those things to come through. And we also had some middle school track action, the little Sebetha Triangular, Sebetha Auburn, and Nimahaw Central. Happy to report that the Nimahaw Central seventh grade boys took third. Still out of three teams, but they took third. Hey. Uh the eighth grade boys took first. Uh one fourteen in the next closest school had 56. The eighth grade boys, we got some stellar track athletes in the eighth grade class, and we might get to one. I think you might remember a name from the fall, a cross country runner.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yes. By the name of Will Martin. Ah, yeah. Yeah, Will Martin. Yeah, Will. He's he's radiating some more. I'll tell you what.
SPEAKER_04And we've got a handful, those those guys that joined him in the cross-country circuit, uh, some stellar nights uh this past Monday over at Sabetha. Looking forward to seeing what they do this Thursday at Marysville. But uh yeah, 114, and I think uh I think I caught Will triple jumping 39, and I believe that would have been good enough to place fourth at last tight's high school meet. So we got some good stuff on the horizon, but good job to the uh NCMS boys is Sabetha on Monday night. Uh the seventh grade girls just missed out on taking first place, placing second by just a few points. And then the eighth grade girls took first, defeating Auburn and Sebetha by a score of 75 to 62 to 41. Nice. So keep it up. Yep. Middle school tracksters, and we're again hoping to get some more condensed results and some individual highlights that we'll keep sharing here over the next few weeks of the pod. Tuesday, Thunder Track, the high school version, returned to action here at home in the Nimahaw Central. I call it small school invitational. Omega, Centralia, Hanover, Axtel, Troy, Valley Heights, Pawnee City all joined us uh for some classic invitational action. We do not have final results for you because athletic.net crashed across the nation. Uh so we weren't able to log some of the parts. Yeah, we were not able to log. This was a website, right? So Kind of like kind of like communication going down locally on Saturday. Uh that kind of happened up in the press box. We were able to still get all the medals out, you know, recognize uh individual winners for those events, but we're just not able to log it yet and get you all the final results. But I can tell you, uh, in those eight competing schools, the boys were sitting second through 15 events or so, and the girls solidly in first place through about 15 or 16 events. So that's what we got for team results. I think we did have a uh local javelin champion, right? On the boys' side? Yeah, that is I wasn't I didn't know if we were gonna talk about that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Uncorked a 159? Yeah. Not bad, man. Yeah, trying to get to that 160 mark. So PR for me, and then yeah, first place. Um, yeah, just keep building each time, but it was it was a good step, definitely on the street. Keep climbing, baby. Keep climbing.
SPEAKER_04Uh JV baseball was able to get back into action. Um again, just feel feel for our JV teams as uh due to weather or other low roster circumstances, haven't been able to have consistent action every week.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's always around this time, I feel like, too. It's just it's yeah, you're at the mercy of Mother Nature, baby.
SPEAKER_04Uh but the JV boys were able to split at Sabetha last night, falling in game one four to two, and then winning by three runs after building the 10 or 11 run lead late in the contest in game two. They were able to hang on and get a three-run victory over the JVJs. And that does it for the Waz in the world of all things Emahol Jay. Yes, sir. Wow. Here we are.
SPEAKER_03Here we are. Here we are. April 15th.
SPEAKER_04We do have something going on again.
SPEAKER_03We do have something going on.
SPEAKER_04We got a little FFA Livestock judging right here outside of the world headquarters of the ATN. FFA's, we're gathering, getting ready to roll through that livestock judging event. Um, looking forward to seeing if we can get some results from that too. That hopefully we can share.
SPEAKER_03Love to share those results.
SPEAKER_04Anything in the world of all things, Neemhall, right, my man? Yes, sir. Hey, we are gonna take a quick little break. We'll be right back to share with you what's on the horizon here in the Greater Neemah community.
SPEAKER_02To every referee, umpire, and judge in high school sports, we wanna say, we see you.
SPEAKER_00We see everything you do for us that goes unnoticed.
SPEAKER_02We see the positive role models that you are.
SPEAKER_00We see the way you get unfairly criticized just for doing your job.
SPEAKER_02The truth is, we couldn't play without you.
SPEAKER_00So thank you for investing your time in us.
SPEAKER_02Thank you for protecting the integrity of the game, no matter what.
SPEAKER_00We hope you always know how much we appreciate you.
SPEAKER_02Because without you, this is just recess. It's not really a game.
SPEAKER_00Thank you for always making it possible for us to play the sports we love.

SPEAKER_03Jaden Seitz here along with Mr. Williams on the ATN podcast, all things Nemo Hall. Now talking about what is on the horizon.
SPEAKER_04Untapped baby, what's on deck?
SPEAKER_03This week and also the week to come. Got a little JV baseball tomorrow, Jay.
SPEAKER_04Yes, we do. Little JV baseball. I should I should say we do have the fifth through, sorry, third through fifth graders finishing the youth baseball club this evening. Okay. All right. Should probably sneak that in there. There you go. But we do have some JV baseball. We're able to make up one of those contests that got rained out from a couple Fridays ago against Silver Lake. That was supposed to be some breakfast ball. Well, it's gonna take place tomorrow at Swisherfield, a doubleheader starting at 4:30. The JB Boys will be taking on the Silver Lake Junior Varsity Eagles. Good luck, gentlemen. Uh, we're not gonna be around for that though, Jay. You're gonna be on a big charter bus. We're gonna be headed down to Branson. I'll be following you in the uh school's expedition. Um we got a full slate, full itinerary. I think we got a little top golf tomorrow, followed by a little paintball. Yep. Uh Friday, um, maybe a little snow flex, a little zip lining. Yep. Uh I can't remember. What do we got going on Friday afternoon? More more goat cart action? Uh yeah, the track. The track. So a little goat-kart, a little gaming, uh, little bumper boats, a little bumper cars. Saturday, I think we got Silver Dollar City and a show.
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_04I love Silver Dollar City.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm not sure. And again, I'm I'm high standards here, but they've they've established these. I don't know if there's a cleaner theme park in the United States of America.
SPEAKER_03You did say that. You did say that.
SPEAKER_04I love me some Silver Dollar City. It's brutal in the middle of the summer. Oh my God. Middle of the summer. Silver Dollar City is it's brutal because it's all fresh asphalt. Right. So it just absorbs all of that sunlight, that heat, and it's got a phenomenal degree of vegetation. Okay, so it's not like out wide in the open, right? You're down there in those rolling Ozarka hills. Yeah. Okay. Ozarka hills. Uh, and you're up and down the hills, you're sweating your tail off.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Like you might as well wear a swim trunk, maybe a tank top, some flip-flops. I mean, it's brutal in the summer. Awesome still. Yeah. But it can just be a sweltery death trap of heat and humidity. But I suppose we're 41.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's 81, so it's still springtime.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Really looking forward to meet some silver dollar city. Can't speak highly enough about that. And then we got a little uh illusionist, a little magician.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's a nine. I'm really looking forward to that uh escape room, though. Yeah, me and my friends did it one time. That was so much fun.
SPEAKER_04So and you guys are all well practiced now with no digital technology or communication after last Saturday. Yeah. So being able to just spend some time chilling with each other, yeah. Communicating face to face and solving problems. Exactly. You guys now have experience with that. We do, we do. So we're a little escape room, and then Sunday, I think um we've got some more go-kart action, the high-powered ones, the ones that go like 95 miles an hour. That's not that fast, but faster than some of the other smaller ones. So we got a little bit of that, and then I think we head back, right?
SPEAKER_03We head back. Um Yeah, it says eat at Point Royal golf course in Branson. Then we head back. So looking forward to things. That's it, yeah. Looking forward to a chill trip. It's a nice little drive.
SPEAKER_04And the spend time, one, one final uh hurrah with all of your classmates.
SPEAKER_03And we're not staying at a hotel. Ladies and gentlemen, get this. We are staying at a VRBO and it looks it looks it looks fun.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It looks fun. So if we have to, you know, let's say there's some there's some showers or whatnot, we have to stay inside, we are gladly gonna do that. Um, because I don't know if you know, but they're in the like the 12 beds or whatever, the 12 bedroom, um, there could be a pirate ship, a little kid's toy pirate ship right in the middle. We're thinking about bringing wooden swords, it's gonna be a great time. I already told Mr. Tackenhorst. Mr.
SPEAKER_04Tackenhorst and I, of course, are supervising the boys' lodging. I already told him come 10 p.m. every night I'm locking myself in my room. Yeah, you can't.
SPEAKER_03You just call me if there's like something of great distress. Honestly, you better, because we are gonna be playing pirates and just having a grand old time. Sir, baby.
SPEAKER_04Boy, yeah. Um, not putting anything past you guys, that's for sure. We'll be vigilant. I'll be vigilant. Yeah, yeah. All right, making sure there's no uh extreme tomfooler. But yeah, really looking forward to seeing your trip. Good luck to everybody. Um, I don't know about good luck, but it's like, well, good luck. I guess good luck to us sponsored, chaperones. For real. Good luck to sponsors and chaperones. Uh well wishes everybody else. And again, a big thanks to the senior leadership team with Mr. Thomas and Mr. Tackenhorse uh for pivoting and kind of uh scheduling this thing, not last minute, but a little bit later than desired. Yeah uh original destination, not super hot on going there after a couple of uh uh things transpired. So pivoted, made the plans to attend uh Branson for senior trip and really looking forward to uh a really festive and fun time with everybody. Uh Saturday, we've got some Thunder Forensics happening down in Tonga Noxie at 8 a.m. start. Good luck to those Thunder Forensics students. Monday, another full slate of events here. Varsity Boys Golf is competing at the pre-league meet down at St. Mary's. Uh, it's actually at Cypress Ridge, hosted by St. Mary's. That 18 whole stroke play event is gonna tee off at 1 p.m. Good luck, varsity boys golfers. Keep on rolling, right? Yeah, keep on rolling. Keep on rolling. And then we have some varsity and JV softball and varsity baseball traveling down to Perry LeCompton. And if you haven't been to Perry recently, go and enjoy those baseball and softball games. Phenomenal facilities. Phenomenal facilities down there. Uh looking forward to seeing how our teams fare against the cause on the road on Monday. Tuesday, another full straight of events, baby. Track, track, it's more track. Yep. You're gonna be headed out west to compete in the Lions Club Invitational at Bellville. That's Republic County High School. Uh 10 a.m. start time. Looking forward to that, young man. It's a full day. And if you think it was windy here recently, wait till you head just a little further west.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I can only imagine. Uh no, it's a it's a full day. Obviously, the start time 10 a.m. Uh so yeah, it's uh we we get up early and we uh come back a little a little late. So we'll see how it goes. But it's always a very competitive meet. Um, I feel like this is probably around the halfway point. It's like, all right, let's let's you know work it out. Yeah, let's start as well.
SPEAKER_04Let's see where we're at, let's start ascending. And uh again, competition that you typically won't see any other time except postseason, and it will be competition you could potentially see this postseason as our regional for track is taking us west out to Beloit. Nice okay. Um JV Track also in action, they're gonna make the short trip east over to Hiawatha for the Red Hawk Invitational. Um, again, another glorious facility right there. They don't have a pole vault pit, unfortunately, but every other um event that they host over at Hiawatha, just some great facilities. So looking forward to seeing uh how our junior varsity tracks fair over there at the Red Hawk Invitational. JV Baseball is gonna host Perry LeCompton's JV here at Swisherfield, 4:30 p.m. First pitch on Tuesday. JV Golfers are gonna get into action. They're traveling down to Ozaki. All right, uh Village Greens golf course. They're gonna have a nine-hole Big East Pre-League JV event. So good luck to the JV golfers. And finally, varsity golf. Lots of golf golf, a lot of track, a lot of golf, baby. A lot of golf. What do we got going on for the varsity golfers? They're gonna go back to back. They got 18 holes down at Cypress Ridge on Monday, and they're gonna play 18 holes where on Tuesday, J.
SPEAKER_03Right here, baby. Beautiful. The best. Beautiful, the best um Spring Creek golf course.
SPEAKER_04Shout out to our boys Brock, Tony, and the gang on just maintaining a phenomenal 18-hole facility. And we I beautiful too. That actually, that actually uh it's a it's a stacked meat too, man. It is I mean, we don't we we don't uh I I we get requests every year. Hey, can we get any meat? Can we get any meat? Can we get any meat? Small school, large school. All right, small school because it's not uncommon for Spring Creek to host some small school regionals. We haven't done a 3A regional here recently. Uh we've put in for some. Uh we have hosted state events at Spring Creek as well, 3A down all the way through 1A. Uh, but lots of areas schools always wanting to get into this meet competition, the course mainly. Uh, but tip of the cap to Coach Hilton, who organizes and kind of facilitates the entire meet. I just kind of gopher, if need be. Um, but uh yeah, tip of the cap to him because we don't turn anybody away. No, we find a way, and I think we've got 20 yeah. So this is about the size of a small state competition. So looking forward to that on Tuesday. And a big thanks to all the volunteers and again our professionals up at the course for making that happen. And that will do it, Jay. Boom. Fast and furious, the world of all things Nima Hall. The will be and what's on the horizon for us here in the greater Nima Hall community. So days keep on rolling, basically. Yeah, days are rolling. No rest for the weary.
SPEAKER_03Days are rolling, and they're counting down as I get out of here. That was bad. No, but seriously, I mean it starts to really matter weeks.
SPEAKER_04It starts to really roll, right? It's kind of like that sweater unraveling, you know, that one thread, and all that thread becomes the bottom quarter, and then all of a sudden half the sweater, like just you know, a little snowball, a little avalanche type thing. So make sure you, and we've talked about this off and on throughout the podcast this year, make sure you take a little time to smell those roses. Stop and smell those roses, and hey, fitting, because it is time for all them flowers to start coming into boom, right? Springtime, yeah. Springtime, baby. And we hope everybody has a wonderful finish to this week. Enjoy your weekend, enjoy the week that is on the horizon, the world of all things Nimaha, and we will see you back here next week to talk about the world that was, the world that is, and the world that will be all things Nimaha. Later, ladies and gentlemen,
