SPEAKER_00

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Yo! Welcome back for the second to last time, Jaden. We are welcoming our listeners into the All Things Nimahaw podcast. What a ride it's been. It has been a ride, and we're not gonna get sappy. We're not gonna get emotional yet. We're gonna save that for the finale. Yeah. So we're just gonna get right into it for our listeners. Right into it. Fast and furious, talking about the was, the is, and the will be in the world of all things Nimahaw here in our wonderful ATN World Headquarters. Jay, let's circle back. Circle it back. Last Thursday, and we're a little bit later in the week this week with our recording. Our apologies, listeners. Uh, it's a busy time of year. Busy time. The spring is absolutely insane. So we finally have found some time for us to sit down and walk through the world of all things, Dima Hall.

SPEAKER_01

And fittingly on my uh last full day of school school.

SPEAKER_00

Fittingly on your last full day of school. Your final Friday. But again, we're gonna hit pause on that. We're gonna get to all that next week. We got more time for that next week. Okay. So going back to last Thursday, the 30th, uh, the Pete and Paul Trojans traveled to Riverside for some middle school track action. Uh, we got some highlights uh from that track meet. Um boys and girls performed well. You know, I gotta tell you, overall, as a team. The eighth grade boys finished second, one of their highest finishes this season. Great stuff there. The seventh grade boys won another meet, 178 points. Second place was 79. Not bad. 99 point victory right there. The eighth grade girls finished first, just edging out uh the Everest Chargers by about 20 points. And then the Pete and Paul seventh grade gals missed out on first pace by one and a half points. Took seconds. So pretty close to one and a half. One and a half. Yeah. One and a half. And as you can imagine, it was kind of the uh same individuals that placed relatively high uh in the eighth and seventh grade divisions for both boys and girls. And unfortunately, just for sake of time, we're gonna share the team scores and we're gonna keep ripping. All right. So what else was happening in the world of all things Demon Hawk last Thursday, Jay?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, last Thursday was also senior night for Thunder baseball and softball. Uh the boys fell in both contests to the Rossville Bulldogs.

SPEAKER_00

Really good dogs team. Really good dogs team. Really good dogs team. They're gonna they're gonna raise some cane there in 2A1A for sure.

SPEAKER_01

Uh 2-0 and 14-4 were those two uh scores for those games. While the girls earn a split against the Lady Dogs, winning in thrilling fashion in game one, 14-13, and then falling in a high scoring affair in game two, 16-8. And let me tell you, there were a lot of home runs.

SPEAKER_00

I was you beat he beat me to it.

SPEAKER_01

I went to that game, so I I saw it.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, holy cow. You know, a lot of your professional organizations will light off fireworks when a home run gets hit. We would have ran out of fireworks.

SPEAKER_01

We would have.

SPEAKER_00

All right. I know a certain uh uh auto dealer in the area, Mr. Ryan Honeyman, it's uh big fan, big fan of fireworks. I don't know if he would have had enough for all the home runs that were getting hit by both teams. Uh I think we had five home runs ourselves across two games. Um, but uh yeah, a tremendous um uh awakening of the bats for our ladies last Thursday, and it kept them hot through the rest of last week and through this week as well, and more on that as varsity softball Friday, May 1st, uh hosted Holton for a couple of makeup contests. They grabbed two big East League wins, so they swept the Lady Cats. Exciting fashion in game one, two to one, so a pitchers duel in game one. But hey, those bats got hot again in game two. And we absolutely tattooed the Lady Cats, blew their doors off. Tattooed them. 17 to 1. 17 to 1. Yeah, that's hot. JV Softball traveled to Sebetha last Friday. Uh, a little bit of a quadrangular uh happening right there. Two contests they fell to the Holton JV Lady Cats 13-8 in game one. So high scoring affair. Uh, but it's okay. Tonight did finish off with a high note. Took it to our arch rival, Sabetha, five to three. Nice. Good job, JV Softballers. JV Baseball was originally scheduled to travel to Rossville, but due to some low roster numbers on our end, we were not able to make that trip. So no JV baseball this past Friday. Yeah, it was on our end. Yeah, just kind of arms pitching, uh, limitations to how many games can be played. It's just just kind of tough, especially here the last couple of weeks as we've jammed a lot of our contest in due to inclement weather earlier on in the season. Saturday, Jaden. Saturday, you and I were hanging out at Mays High. Yeah. Great high school up in there. Yeah, you got a great school. Awesome campus. Awesome. Everything's kind of right there. The grade school's on the north side, the intermediate school is on the west side, brand new building. The middle school's about a half a mile down the road to the east, but just a tremendous campus. Look it up on Google Maps. Like everything is there. Yeah. But it is a sizable school, six, eh? Yeah. Um, sizable population. Phenomenal facilities, though. Good stuff. You've been there many times now, and we are down there for what? State forensics.

SPEAKER_01

State forensics. And this is not, we're not cutting up anybody. So if you don't know what forensics is, I feel like we've already said it, but some people out there still don't know.

SPEAKER_00

This is not speech and yeah, not crime scene investigation. That was a show that was at when I was your age. Loved me some CSI. The original, the OG back in uh uh Vegas. Yeah, Gil Grissom. That was the uh main protagonist. Yeah, stellar stuff. Yeah loved it. But yeah, we also chopping up bodies. No, no. There was no cadavers, there was no medical investigations.

SPEAKER_01

We had some stellar finishes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, not in the world of performing medical investigations, but in the world of performing arts. Speech and drama is what it's formerly recognized as by the KSH SAA. Right. Okay, so it's speech, ha-drama. Uh, and we had several semifinalists, almost um all of the acts that uh we assumed would advance to the semifinals did, um, putting us in a phenomenal position as a school to place in the top five in sweepstakes, so the overall um uh scoring uh for every school there. Um we had a handful advance to the finals and tell us a little bit about how things finished out in terms of individual event medalist science.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so um individually, uh Fabrizio Kramer getting fourth place in impromptu. Congrats for Brizio, Sante, Kramer, way to go. Fourth place, really good.

SPEAKER_00

And really good too. Impromptu and individual IDA, right? Yeah. Like you're you're improvising, you're drawing a you're drawing a topic and drawing a topic and going. Drawing a topic and going. So he went and got fourth, so congrats there. Hey, I think somebody placed third in poetry. Somebody did, yeah. Poetry's topic. I always tell everybody that poetry and prose, I mean, you're splitting hairs. It almost comes down to just how well did you select your piece. That yeah, how well did you select the piece that you are performing? Because everybody performs at such a high level. And yes, as he just reported, Mr. Jaden Sites, third place in the state of Kansas, class three. Poetry. We then had a phenomenal phenomenal day in the world of improvised duet acting. Holy cow. Okay. Shout out to a Liam Felder and Wrigley Williams for second place in IDA. Second place. What about And they might have been they might have been champions, except unfortunately for them, but also great for this school. Yes. The champions were Olivia Gantström and Jaden Sides. Woo! First place. Now I thought you guys won it last year, but you told me you didn't. We lost to the group. Second place. Yeah. Second place. The the the performance that the group from Scott said he put together last year was absolutely amazing. They just didn't have that same vibe this year. It was the same, same pairing. Yeah, it was same pairing. They just but even the sophomore duo of Liam and Wrigley kind of took it to him right now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they did. They did. Overall, just a great one-two finish, man. I mean, that's uh I love watching F1. That's you know, they have two drivers. If you don't know about F1 and their team, you know, has two drivers, like I just said. But if you get a one-two, that's that's a great day, and we had a great day. It was a great day.

SPEAKER_00

Overall, placing fourth, placing fourth in sweepstakes. Yep. Um, some controversy maybe with an event here or there that we were entered in, and maybe how they were or were not scored. Otherwise, a top three finish probably would have been had, maybe even a state runner-up finish as a team. Yeah. Uh a lot to be proud of, though, uh, for every Thunder Forensics team member. Another stellar season, thinking back through the last several episodes as we just recapped another one. And another one, and another one. And uh definitely showed out there on the uh uh big stage down in the Greater Wichita area this past weekend with State Forensics. Speaking of state competitions, state FFA started on Sunday, rolled through Tuesday, and we got some results from State FFA. So we're gonna crank up the applause again, okay? I hope the crowd's hands are not sore, not stinging, all right, because we got some more stuff here in the world of horse judging. A 15th place finish in the state. It's statewide, right? So we don't do classifications here. All right, statewide, Katie. This is across the state of Kansas, all right? A state that values its agriculture enterprise. So you know the competition is stiff, right? It's fierce. It's fierce. 15th place overall in horse judging. Congrats to Zoe Lockhart, Cadence Boosting, Ella Sorg, and Carson Edelman there.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_00

In the world of livestock judging, how do we do, Jay? Yeah. 17th place. 17th place. Here we go.

SPEAKER_01

Cadence, Ella, Carson, and Danica.

SPEAKER_00

Danica was well done there. Hey, in the world of vet med, little veterinary science. Take care of them animals. Uh so kind of like forensics. Not that forensics though. Go, Jay, how do we finish? Uh, 12th place. Congrats to Bob, Harry, Corey, and Jade. All right, the brothers Land Jill with Corey Stukey and Jade Mackey. Fantastic. And I'm pretty sure it was Jade. Occasionally I'll misspell after I'm looking at it. Might be Jack, might be Jade. You know, I get to type in and get going fast, but I'm pretty sure it's Jade. Pretty sure it was Jade. All right. Shout out. World of ag business. It only gets better here. Oh. How do we finish an ag business?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, seventh place to Jack Mackey. Seventh place overall, and then Jack Mackey was the individual medalist placing 10th. 10th. Nice job, Jack.

SPEAKER_00

Nice job, Jack. Carrying carrying the ag business world right there. Hey, not surprising when you think this man is a licensed insurance agent now.

unknown

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Reading, reading him, reading his uh yeah, reading his stuff off a senior night. I felt like it was an advertisement for SBS Insurance. Like I need to send them a bill.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Great stuff, though. But yeah, Jack was teamed up with Corey Stuokie, Ben Sudbeck, and Cannon Sudbeck. Okay, and the ag business world. And then big old drum roll, please. They're gonna be heading to Indianapolis in October. Hey now. Because in the world of dairy judging. Come on. Nimahaw Central reign supreme. Woo! There's not a better dairy judging team in the state of Kansas than the likes of Harry Landjill, Bob Landjill, Cora Landjill, and Cadence Bussing. Congrats champs, baby. And that is a big deal. Again, you're competing against some phenomenal, phenomenal individuals and collections of individuals from across the state. You know, people that do this year-round. And again, our our Landrill trio definitely does it year-round as well. But uh carrying the weight there, Cadence teaming up with them, state champs. Harry himself was the individual state champion. So a lot to be proud of there in the world of the Thunder FFA. And hey, they were hard at it with greenhouse cells, too. Yeah, man. They're just working.

SPEAKER_01

Just working. Just working.

SPEAKER_00

Working the cells on the ground, baby. Thank goodness the daylight is extending. Yeah. So they can get more hours in. But well done there. Thank you to sponsor Matt Stahlbomber and everything he does with the Thunder FFA. And congratulations to all of our FFAers on just a really strong showing at the state convention this past week. Darn too, baby. Manhattan. Monday, varsity boys golf. Oof. I tell you what, man, the Demon Hall golf team is on fire and they stay on fire. Yes. Yeah, put it out. Put it out.

SPEAKER_01

Put it out. Yeah, put it out. But don't rain it out.

SPEAKER_00

Don't hit it in the water.

SPEAKER_01

No, don't hit it in the water either.

SPEAKER_00

Varsity golf team traveled down to Holton on Monday for the Wildcat invitational. They took second overall. Actually tied with Sabetha for first, but due to the tiebreakers, placed second. Congrats to Leighton Thomas taking second. This guy's been finishing top three, top four at the worst almost every single meeting. He's on fire. Looking to see how he finishes as we uh head into the uh postseason segment of the golf schedule.

SPEAKER_01

Sterling better be ready because this, I mean, he's the Warriors. The Warriors. Warriors better be ready. Swords up, baby.

SPEAKER_00

Swords up. Clubs up. Clubs up.

SPEAKER_01

Clubs up.

SPEAKER_00

Layton took second overall and Drew DeSormiers. There we go. Eighth place overall. And again, the team finished second in a stellar day on Monday. Also happening last Monday, varsity softball and baseball rolled east to take on the Hiawatha Redhawks, and both of them earned sweeps. There we go. Against the Redhawks and their respective doubleheaders. Baseball won 12-1 and 4-3, while Softball won 5-2 and 2-0. The bats cooled down a little bit, but really solid defensive play and great stuff on the mound from our Thunder pitchers. Nimaha Central Middle School had another track invitational, part du. All right. Duh. The second part. Okay. Part DOS. Results. Let's pull them up here, Jay. Let's do it. I got them linked. I didn't type them all out. Otherwise, we're reading through like 17 pages of results. But here I'm going to go, I'm going to click filter. I'm going to click email central on Saints, Peter and Paul. And again, it's the same individuals that have been finishing really high up there. Eli Leaguer in a hundred-meter dash. We got down a 12-10. We got down a 12-10 for Mr. Leaguer right there. That's soaring as a seventh grade boy. Great job there. Eli right on his heels. In third place was Dayton Hernandez from NC with a 12-5. Emerson Navotney finishing one. Ivy Heinen finishing two. Harley Schmitz finishing three in the 100-meter dash. And that's just the seventh grade girls. Again, going down the list. The Ella Bartkaskies, the Brentley Fannonsteels, the Dustin Knowles, the Graham Leaguers, the Glenn Strothmans, the Violet Regis, the Will Martins. He's back at it. He's back at it. Again, just congrats to all of those middle school athletes as they continue to show strong performances throughout this middle school track season. But again, just for the sake of time, we're going to kind of keep motoring on. Are you okay with that? I'm good with that if you're going to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_01

I was just going to give a shout out to Lillian Dieters, who got a personal best. She's been killing it in the discus, but again, got a personal best of 1057. Hey. So congrats, Lily, on the first place. That's really good.

SPEAKER_00

Because if I'm not mistaken, I think, you know, like if you're performing really well in the high school ranks, we're in the 130s, 140s. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So she's cranking it up. She's climbing up there, you know, only in eighth grade, so a lot to lot to keep improving on for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, and I have to give it up to Simon Strautman. I think he's going to catch Big Brother Caleb here before we know it. I think he I think he cleared 5'3, maybe 5'4. And what's Caleb getting?

SPEAKER_01

Well, he finally jumped over the bar a couple days ago. Oh, he's going to hate me for saying that. Sorry for throwing shade at you. Caleb. Sorry. Sorry for the shade, Caleb. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Getting into Tuesday. Varsity Boys Golf claimed another runner-up finish. This time over at the Marysville Country Club and the Bulldog Invitational. Layton took fourth. Brady Cook plays sixth. And Colton Corby got back up at the top 10, finishing 10th overall in the individual standings. Another strong showing from the varsity boys golf team. Really, really excited to see how we finish at the Big East League Championship on Monday. Regionals on the 18th. And then, yeah, you know this team's had to stay, baby.

SPEAKER_01

Just chipping the state, baby. Clubs up. Yep, clubs up.

SPEAKER_00

JV Baseball played a single game on Tuesday afternoon here at Swisher Field. They took on the Royal Valley Panthers and they scrapped their way to a 10-9 victory. Meanwhile, Thunder Varsity Baseball and Varsity Softball, along with JV Softball, headed down to St. Mary's for some makeup contest. How did everybody fare? Jayden, I'll a little uh little sneak peek here. Everybody won. Yeah. Everybody won. The six pack of victories on Tuesday down in St. Mary's. We love how did the teams fair overall, though?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, so baseball in their first game uh got the dub six to two. Then in the second game, 11-6. Good job. Baseball, then softball, varsity softball, uh 9-0 victory against the Lady Bears, and then a 13-6 victory in game two. And then JV Softball. Hot bats! 10-3, baby. 10-3, and then another uh double-digit uh win with a 16-1 victory in the second game.

SPEAKER_00

Solid stuff. We were here in Seneca trying to stay warm.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Beautiful day on Monday, right? Like mid-80s, light breeze.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, this is gonna be perfect for tomorrow.

SPEAKER_00

No, sir. No, sir. Mid upper 50s, uh, very, very limited. Very, very limited air movement, which was good. Thank goodness it wasn't super breezy. Otherwise, um I would have had the heavy coat on. Actually, I still had the heavy coat. I think I didn't get my mom a heavy coat. Yeah, I was I was chilly. It was chilly on Tuesday for the annual Nemo Hall Central dual meet. JV and varsity meet ran concurrently. Big thanks again to all of our event staff, all the individuals that carved time out of the day to help uh with the overall uh uh facilitation of that meet. It goes so smoothly and it could not be done without all the help that we received. So big, big thanks to everyone there, super appreciative of that. Shout out to the seniors. Hey, shout out to the seniors. You had ourselves a little senior night ceremony before the running events this year. Yep. Naturally, it was so cold though. It was a light crowd, just like it would be if we had it after the meet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it kind of felt like senior night at football, too.

SPEAKER_00

We always do it. Yeah, we're gonna have to time that out just a little bit better one of these years. It's all good. Uh, but the Thunder Tracksters did compete at the annual Nima Hall Central dual meet here Tuesday. Uh team highlights were the varsity girls finishing third and the JV Girls Clumbing the Meet Championship.

SPEAKER_01

Chubb.

SPEAKER_00

And again, for the sake of time, we're not gonna report all the individual accolades from Tuesday's meet, but we have some solid ones. Did you win a j uh, JV?

SPEAKER_01

Did you win a jab? No. Nope, I got third place. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, sorry. But I guess we make Caleb feel better. We're throwing shade at you just from across the table now, too.

SPEAKER_01

I'm fine with the shade all around. No, but it was it was actually a good day because you know the field events were not great uh for Caleb and myself. Um, but then in the running events, man, got a personal best and the 200, 210. 210. Yeah. Uh so that was awesome. 210 into 200? In the 800.

SPEAKER_00

So you say, wow, 210 and the 210. Did you did you crawl? Yeah, we could bear crawl faster than 210, 200 meters, I think, right? Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01

So this was the 800. My bad, my bad. And then the four by four, um, just a really had a great split. I think it was 54, so did Caleb. I think he had around a 55 or 56, but pretty, pretty light and fast. Uh, I think we finished up in fifth or sixth place. So not bad. And that's a fat. I mean, that it was some good four by fourteen.

SPEAKER_00

Like like top top in the state and the respected division four by four teams. Jeff. Jeff County North, Jackson Heights. Yeah, we actually had there was some speed at the meet, small school speed, and Rock Creek also has some speed along with Marysville. There was a lot of speed at our dual meet on Tuesday. A lot of speed. Speed kills, baby. Speed does kill. And speaking of killing it, your thunder vocalist and musicians at the annual spring band and vocal concert killed it Wednesday night. Jay. Great setting, man. About 45 minutes of performance there. Things got started around 7:30. Nice little intimate setting in the commons. Yeah. Still not as ideal as an auditorium. You know, hint hint. USD 105 community. Man, it'd be great to get one of them bad boys. Yeah. Um, but yes, uh, intimate setting, nice crowd, and good performances. Well uh uh, what was your favorite part of the uh band and vocal concert from this past Wednesday?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, um, you know, Miss Steiner said, Hey, really good job, Jaden. I really love the drums. She said the acoustics were amazing. So I just was like, oh, awesome. I'm glad you had a great time because I also had a great time as well. Um, some highlights, you know. We had Liam on the Cowbell for Wipeout, and I was getting after it, and that was super fun. You know, and you you texted me, hey, great job. I said, I I felt like I kept it a little tame, just a little tamer. But you need to you're in a concert, right?

SPEAKER_00

It's not a pet band setting.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. So uh it was it was I feel like it was the right amount, and that and that was the last one.

SPEAKER_00

Hey uh being a fellow uh fellow uh um uh splasher symbols and um you know uh the pounding of the toms, the beating of the The bass. Yep. Okay. Smacking of the snare. Yep. How we want to word them. All right. I love alliteration by the way. I was just a huge fan of that. Yeah, nice job. Very impressed. Proud of you and your fellow percussionists. Yes. And their efforts in the back. But yeah, really solid sounding stuff from the band. Big shout out to a lot of the seniors, individuals that have been in band for you know eight years. Yeah. Awesome stuff right there. Cause that that's tough. Eight-year commitment, you know. And then uh same thing with the vocalists. Nice little duo there from Logan Haug and Nia Holthouse. Uh Miley, I believe it was Miley Cyrus's The Climb, right? Um but yeah, really solid stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Did Drew get on the guitar at all or not?

SPEAKER_00

There was some strumming of the guitar. Okay, okay. I'm trying to think of what song that was now. Yeah, Island in the Sun. Okay. All right, nice. By Weezer. Yeah. Yes. Cool. Yeah. Good stuff. Awesome. Good stuff on Wednesday night here as our Thunder Fine Arts team in the world of uh vocals and musicians uh got after it here and uh serenaded. Serenaded our patrons with some phenomenal ocean slash beach themed music.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that boat was funny. The boat was the boat was a nice. I was like, someone's gonna move that boat, right? Nope, that's part of the uh the atmosphere and the scene.

SPEAKER_00

I mean it worked out all it was part of the vibe. It was part of the vibe. It was part of the vibe. It was all good. Vibing on Thursday, our Diamond Dogs. Diamond Dogs. Yeah. And our uh our our Diamond Queens were not. Unfortunately, in the world of baseball and softball yesterday for Nimaha Central, things did not go super well, and the win lost column. The Jefferson West Tigers were up, and again, strong baseball and softball culture historically in the world of Jeff West. They kind of were one of the few big seven teams to have baseball and softball early on in uh uh the existence of those sports. Okay, like we've had them at the state level for years, but just not a lot of teams in the big seven had baseball or softball. Jeff West has had it for nearly four decades. Okay, so strong culture there. Uh but baseball unfortunately fell on a heartbreaker in game one, 10 to 9, and then got beat soundly in game two, 12 to 2. Varsity softball uh suffered a 7-1 defeat in game one, and then made a valiant attempt to come back and try to tie it up in game two, fell short though, lost 7-5. So each team was swept, unfortunately, last night at the varsity level. And then the JV played a single contest 8-2. But we did have one really cool event. We hosted the 2016 State Championship Baseball Squad. It's the 10th anniversary of that baseball championship, and Coach Stevie, the coach of that 2016 squad, is also the coach of Jefferson West now. So he was up. We had 11 of the 16 rostered members in attendance represented. Um Coach May 1.0, Mr. Sism, they were our assistants on that staff, so they were present. Uh, but a great crowd, nice little ceremony. I know Pops, our AD at that time, Coach Seitz was also in attendance. Uh uh several parents or family members from those players. Uh again, been 10 years, uh, but uh that was a stellar season for those boys, and it was really great to have them back and kind of get them to take in uh double header at Swisher and you know, chat and catch up and uh recognize that team. And dang near got it done in game one on the varsity side, almost got it done in game two on the uh varsity softball side. But um we might see each of those teams again in the postseason. Looking forward to that.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I uh a little memory here, uh thinking about you know that that 2016 State Championship uh squad. Um, I remember watching that game a little bit. I believe it was at K-State. Um yeah. I remember before the game, I was like, I want to switch it up with the in the snack game. Because you know, we're sitting there, baseball, I don't superstitious at all. I don't love watching baseball. You know, it's it's it's definitely a lot of time goes into it. But anyways, I was like, you know what, grandma? Because I was I was with my grandma and nanny, shout out. Um, and I was like, you know what? I think I want some corn nuts, some ranch corn nuts. And ever since then I've loved corn nuts. Yeah, you really I'm learning something new about you.

SPEAKER_00

I'm a huge corn nut fanatic myself. And I don't, I can't I can't eat them like I used to. Yeah. I literally I get through half a bag and my teeth are aching.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I haven't ate them in a while, but I I really like I keep seeing them, you know, at Casey's and whatnot. I'm gonna I'm gonna do it. Barbecue, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Barbecue. I don't I'm not a huge fan of the of the ranch seasoning occasionally. Yeah. I I can't do a whole bag of that. Barbecue. I can knock out a bag of barbecue corn nuts. Lickety split. Yeah. Great. That's good to know. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

A little memory popped up. Yeah. Something uh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Something uh something small. If I need to get you something small, you know, corn. Yeah, graduation gift. I know what I'm getting. Oh, okay. Wow. He's a bag of corn nuts, buddy. Well done. Sweet. Good luck. Yes. Uh hey, uh, we had some thunder track over at Sebetha yesterday. That'd be Thursday, uh, May 7th. Um again, I think uh highlighted by a runner-up finish for the ladies and a third place finish for the boys. And I think yours truly uh won the jab, right? Yes, sir. Good throw in the jab, young man. SPPS finished out their track season at the OTL meet in Frankfurt. We're gonna share those results in next week's podcast, though kind of team that up with the seventh grade NCMS results and eighth grade NCMS results because they've got their big East League meet, eighth grade on Monday, seventh grade on Tuesday. So when we get together for the pod next week, our final one, we'll go ahead and knock those out. And uh speaking of some final things, let's go ahead and rip through a little bit of the is and the will be uh real fast here. Uh JV Baseball is traveling down the Ozaki today for a double header uh against the Jefferson West Tigers. Good luck, JV Baseballers. Uh it is a fine arts open house night at Castle Rock. Uh that's down kind of across from the Neemhall County Historical Museum. Um, North Ridge Church before the pointing right at North Ridge Church. Yeah, Tank's got it's in its sights. Okay. Uh but yeah, fine arts open house is taking place from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight. So be sure to uh sneak in and check out a uh plethora of genres in the world of fine arts, okay? A little performance art, a little bit of just uh art art, I guess production art. I I'm technically not sure what to call that. Yeah, uh just gonna be a great night of uh celebrating our Thunder uh fine arts students. Uh and good luck to all the fifth, sixth, and seventh and eighth grade band students. It's concert night for them. Concert night. Here we go. Let's do it. Yeah, exciting stuff right there. On the horizon, pretty chill weekend for everybody. Nothing uh specific to USG 105 taking place or on the schedule. But we do have a JV softball triangular here at Seneca West starting at 3:30 on Monday. Our gals will take on the St. Mary's Lady Bears, and then we'll have the Bears and the Holton Lady Cats take each other on, and then we'll take on the Holton uh Lady Cats in a nightcap at roughly 7 p.m. So, yes, a triangular right there. Three teams. Three teams. It's a triangular. The JV Baseball boys are gonna host the St. Mary's Bears at Swisher Field for a doubleheader. And our varsity boys golf team trail. Yeah we go, baby clubs up, clubs up, Lake Shawnee. And that's actually where the state meet is going to be held, too. Oh, so a little experience. Yeah, a little experience here. The Big East League Championship teeing off at 9 a.m. on Monday. Um, prepgolf.com, prep golf, type in just Kansas Prep Golf. You can follow those scores. I'll have the link posted through our social media sites as well. But whew, rubbing the hands together here. Excited to see how that uh Biggie's league tournament goes for the boys on Monday. Tuesday, what do we got going on, Jay?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, varsity and JV softball at home against Marysville. So get your corn nuts. Come watch that game against the Bulldogs.

SPEAKER_00

Let's go.

SPEAKER_01

All right. And then uh JV League Golf at Holton, 3 p.m. start. And then Wednesday, we have regional baseball in Seneca, in Seneca, um, and then senior awards night at NCHS.

SPEAKER_00

And that's Wednesday. And I can tell you, we're looking at probably a coin flip between Marinatha, Christian Academy, and Holton to determine the 12 seed. We will be the five seed. Our Thunder Boys will be at 13 and 9. We'll be hosting on Wednesday. Uh tentatively, a 3 p.m. start might be a little earlier. All of those details will be sorted out and posted later on this weekend. Uh yeah, and then Senior Awards night. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. A little recognition of the class of 2026 and all of their accomplishments this year. And that does it for kind of the sitcom version, right? Fast and Furious 20 to 30 minute version here of the All Things Demon Hall Podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for joining us for this second to last episode of the ATN. And Jay, we'll be back next week. Next week. Share with everybody for one final time the was, the is and the will be in the world of all things demon. Later, ladies and gents.
