I was never alone.

Later, I prayed to my cousin Sylvia for a sign. The next morning I remembered photos of tree sap my friend had sent me — and realized the sap was shaped like turtles. Tree sap becomes amber… so I thought, I’m supposed to wear amber.

My friend asked, “Do you know someone named Mae?”
 I did — Mae Mae Jewelry.

I emailed them… and two hours later, a woman called and said she felt called to make me something.

That same day she created a bracelet with 25 amber beads and a turtle charm.

I wore it every day, calling my daughter’s soul back to me.

And she came.

I got pregnant again — and I knew it was her. I knew she was a girl.

I named her Amber.

My dad still sends me signs. When Amber was little, she would suddenly say, “Grandpa’s here!” And every time, the clock would say 8:38 — my dad’s old phone number.

He’s still with me.

And your loved ones are still with you too.
