- Why Salisha built the Glow Up Society on Skool and what you can actually get from joining
- The 90-day Glow Up course coming in the new year and what accountability really looks like week to week
- What the High Vibe Tribe is and why it's different from mentorship
- Why you have to be very selective about who you share your dreams with

Hello, what's up? It's May Sally. It's so close to the new year, and I'm so excited. This is one of my favorite times of year. Welcome to the Silicia Show. I'm here at the gorgeous Gotham Production Studios in Midtown Manhattan. Thank you, Gotham Network, for having us having the show on. And thank you for listening. So we're coming up on the new year, and I'm so excited. By this time, I probably will have had a baby. He's still in me right now. But by the time this airs, hopefully this little one is in my hands and my arms. I already cannot wait to meet him. But something that I just love to do at the end of every year is really like take inventory of what I got done in the previous year and where I'm going in the next year. And so this year I'm I feel so proud of myself. I've been able to accomplish way more than I set out to do. In addition to working on stage every month of my pregnancy, pretty much. I built like a foundation for a life that I could possibly have being a work-at-home, a work-from-home mom. That is like the hope and the prayer. But part of that, I discovered an online community called School, S-K-O-O-L, where I can create my own community, which I have. It's um a free community for mentorship and it's growing. So there are some things that are already there, and there are some things that are coming down the line. So right now, my school is called the Glow Up Society. I'm always changing the names of things. So if it's different by the time you hear this, I'm sorry. But as of right now, we've got the Glow Up Society, and it's a mentorship program for people who just like, oh Slicia, I'm trying to get into theater or I'm moving to New York City, or like, can you tell me about the business? I get these questions all the time. And I'm always trying to make time for one-on-ones and coffee dates and all the things, but things are definitely have definitely been different as a pregnant woman in New York City. It's harder for me to get around. And now having a full-blown child who depends on me, my time is even more just focused on this little one. So I started this community where I can just like show up to one place and kind of just hang out with whoever wants to pick my brain or just wants to hang and learn some things about. I don't know, maybe it's theater, maybe it's podcasting, maybe it's New York life, maybe it's, I don't know, creating their own solo show, their own cabaret, just things that I have done before or done many times that it's like breathing to me. I don't care. I'm not a I don't gatekeep. I just need to have the time to tell people about whatever they want to know. I don't mind sharing that information. So I've have this space where I can do that. So there's a calendar on school. I would love to encourage you to join my community. Follow the calendar and show up to a meeting. They're like an hour, hour and a half. Maybe it'll go over, maybe it'll be under, depending on who's there, how many people are there. But it's very like low-key, low stakes to me, and fun. So there's like no pressure there. Now, with that said, there is a course in there that you can upgrade to if you'd like called the Beat 10 course. It comes with the free downloadable workbook, the Be A 10 workbook. Or if you want it printed, you can buy it on Amazon and it will come to you printed. But that is just an upgrade. But what I really want to talk to you about is the 90-day glow-up course that I'll be doing at the top of next year. So that is a paid. That is definitely like it's a 12-week, it might be 13 weeks, depending on where it falls on the 90-day spectrum. But it's about a 12-week course where we meet, we define our goals, and we stay accountable to each other every single week. We keep each other on par. We go through the course together, we go through a set work that I have. And by the end of the 90 days, there will be a transformation. This is something that I've been doing on my own, unofficially, off the record, very casually, for many years. And every year I upgrade, I just like level up a little bit. And now I'm at the place in my life where I want to contribute. I want to give back, and I want to do things with others. That is like something that my son has changed about me already. Which is like I've always been a lone wolf my whole life. And having Andrew in my life has made me think like, oh, I can do things with another human. And now us having a family, it's like I'm just not thinking for myself anymore. And by I mean, I'm not thinking just about what I need. I'm thinking about my unit. And so to bring that back to you, you being a part of the community, it's not about me. It's about us and how we can rise up together. And I'll lead the group, but we will all like help each other. So if that is something that you're interested in, I would love for you to even just like if you don't end up doing that, please make a little account on school, but come by my group and spend some time with me and let's see what we can make. Let's see what we can make. Coming soon, something that I haven't started yet, but maybe it will have started by the time you hear this, is my high vibe tribe, which, unlike the mentoring, this is a group of individuals who are in the in the trenches doing the thing, and we are like lifting each other up, like exchanging our resources, exchanging our ideas, and really like what is it, a rising tide lifts all boats? That is what my high vibe tribe is. So that's like more of a mastermind. And then we've got the the glow up society, which is more of a mentorship. So, but regardless of all of this, what is it just between you and me right now, what is it that you're hoping to achieve in this upcoming year if you didn't have to worry about the things that you're currently worried about? If you could just like shut off the noise for a second, what is it that you hope to come into your life? How does it how is it that you want to feel? Is it something that you want to change physically? Is there an internal shift that needs to happen? Do you want to awaken your spiritual being? Is it something you want financially or in your career or with your family or in your social circle, whatever it is, I just want to encourage you today that it's possible. It's more than possible. It's so cliche. But the word impossible literally says I'm possible. So if you need to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who can help like believe in your dreams with you, it's really scary to share your dreams out loud because not everybody understands. And the and also the people who you tell, not everybody's rooting for you. It might look like some people are rooting for you, but really they are waiting for you to fail. Hopefully, that's not the majority of people in your life. But there's something that happens when like someone is living unapologetically themselves and is rewarded for it. Sometimes the people who have not allowed themselves that freedom can be like crabs in a bucket and they will want to bring other people down. It's okay to love those people, but when it comes to your career or your dreams, I'm sorry, I'm so career-driven. When it comes to your dreams, whatever that is, you have to be very selective with who you share your dreams with. You want to make sure that you share your dreams with people who get it, who get you, who will encourage you, inspire you, motivate you, help like keep help you to keep going. And when you get discouraged, or when you experience a setback, or when you fail, when you fall, and those things will happen and they need to happen. When those things happen, they encourage you to dust yourself off and try again. You can dust it off and try again, try again. Like a bomb life is made up of a bunch of failures. The people at the top, the people who you see as being at the top, I bet you, they did not just have win after win after win, even if that's how they're making it look. Their life is scattered with failures, setbacks, disappointments. We just focus in on the wins. That's what we see, that's what they show us. I do the same thing. You go to my Instagram, it's a highlight reel. Hello. Like it. I'm not gonna be like, oh, today I submitted for um X, Y, or Z, and they said, no, you suck. No, I probably won't leave with that. I'll probably like lick my wounds in private. And then when I get a yes, I'll probably share that. And that's what you see. But sometimes, what is it? Oh, before I met Andrew, oh my gosh, I had to have gone on at least a thousand dates. I am not exaggerating that number. And my best friend was like, you know, Celicia, you only gotta get it right once. You only you only need one guy to be the right one. You don't need a thousand of them. You just need one. You just need it right once. So I'm just gonna leave you with that magic today. And I hope that you feel inspired and motivated and encouraged, that what you want is actually out there and possible for you, even if it comes in a different way than you were expecting. I hope that you find a way that you can see that it is actually possible for you, for it to happen for you, to you, in your life, whatever that is for you. Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you next week.
