SPEAKER_03

Welcome everybody to the Bunku Show with Professor Cuckoo and Jim Bro. And on today's podcast, we're going to be talking about something very interesting, right, Professor? It's Harry Potter. Harry Potter, that's right. Yeah. Okay, first of all, welcome everybody. And um, no, it's not Halloween, by the way. So we're just but we are we are gonna be talking about Harry Potter. So why do we have a pot?

SPEAKER_02

It's Harry Potter, man. So that's why we have a pot here for potter.

SPEAKER_03

All right. You like that joke? No, but okay, let's let's let's put this away. Let's let's really get to this. Uh start talking about the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_03

So who wrote Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_02

J.K. Rowling.

SPEAKER_03

J.K. Rowling, all right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, J.K. Rowling. You know, that's a last name. Really cool. Rowling. That's a really cool last name, isn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Mm-mm. Okay, okay. Don't you think so? No. Alright, so J.K. Rowling wrote wrote the book, wrote actually seven books. Yeah. Seven books that actually brought a lot of money. Oh, yeah. Just like her last name, man.

SPEAKER_02

Rolling in the dope. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Alright.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Awesome, but isn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay, so she wrote seven books. Um, and and obviously, how did she come up with the names, first of all?

SPEAKER_02

First of all, you know, like how did she come up with the book, first of all, like she was actually in a train.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

And the train was delayed. And then she actually sit in the train and then like think of like a wizard boy like character. And that's how we come by. Oh yeah, that's how that's the bone of Harry Potter.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. All right. And and uh this book that she wrote, um, obviously there's houses, right? There's different types of houses. So what house do you think well, you should know, obviously, what house are we representing?

SPEAKER_02

We're representing the Slytherin.

SPEAKER_03

The Slytherin. Yeah, Slytherin. All right. So so each each house, obviously, and we have a bunch of houses here on the top, right here. Yeah, that you can see is we got Gryffindor.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh what else? Um, we got Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff. And each each house obviously has something different that has a different meaning, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So do you know what the meaning of these uh characters and houses have? Symbolize?

SPEAKER_02

I don't because I only watch one movie. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Oops. So let's let's let's uh let's let's get you. Gryffindor, obviously, it's the line that stands for bravery, courage, leadership.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That there's no surprise why uh Harry Potter ended up being as a Gryffindor. Oh, nice, right? And then we got Slytherin, that obviously uh is cunning, ambitious, uh, rootless, and at the same time loves to win and has a survival mode.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow, yeah, yeah. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_03

That's pretty cool. I think I think you were in the wrong house, man. You should be in Hufflepuff. Huffing your puppets. Yeah, exactly. That's how much no, but Huff Hufflepuff is known for um basically loyalty, hardworking, uh, fairness, but don't mess with them because you know, it's even though, even though they're they're they're uh a badger, they still can hurt you. Now, the most of all, the most of all is Ravenclaw, wisdom, intelligence, creativity. Oh, you know, okay. So so these houses all they have different different meaning and you know what they represent.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and JK knew how to bring this into the life, into the book, yes, the imagination. Yes, because obviously that's that takes a lot, you know. Yeah. Um, so what else do we know about Harry Potter? Similar.

SPEAKER_02

Harry Potter is that book actually, the book series, right? So more is sold more than I'm sorry, more than 600 million books, copies. More than 600 million copies, worldwide.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, no way, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

All right, so yeah, that is the most selling book of all time.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, that's that's crazy. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

When are we gonna write a book, man?

SPEAKER_03

When are we gonna write a book? Uh I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

We do we write the book of Banku.

SPEAKER_03

The the day that you write a book is probably the day that everybody's gonna fall asleep for sure. But okay. Is that a joke? Yeah, that's a joke.

SPEAKER_02

All right, all right.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, but okay, so so Harry Potter and JK Rowland have similar birthdays, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, they do, they do, they do. They both have their birthday as July 31st. July 31st.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's pretty cool, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, it's cool. It's cool. You know what what else what else do we know about? Oh, the mentors. What do we know about the Dementors? Demento, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Dementor, is Dementor Demented?

SPEAKER_03

No, man.

SPEAKER_02

What do you mean? It's called Dementor should be demented, right?

SPEAKER_03

No, bruh. Okay, so the mentors. What did they symbolize? They symbolize depression, depression, yeah. Because she was going through depression when she was in her 20s, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, when she was she was like JK Woolen was going through depression, and then so she came up with the with the character Dementor.

SPEAKER_03

Right. And you know, like obviously in the movie they use the patronus. It's like uh it's like uh the you know when they say the patronus, yeah, it's the it's it's like uh like when they charge, yeah, she probably used that as a Xanax.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, oh Zane, you know, in real life they have something called patron too? Yeah, you know people use patron for what? Oh, you're talking about all right, all right.

SPEAKER_03

Um what else we know about um JK Rowland? JK Rowland?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, oh JK Rowland actually um her, you know, if you really look about her her her name, right? You know her name Katherine? It's actually her grandmother name.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, JK, right? The K is Catherine. Catherine.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I should say.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know exactly how to pronounce it, but either way. Yeah. Well, you do you know that that uh JK Rowland actually she wrote five pages using the word Q before she used she came up with the word Quidditch. The Quidditch is obviously what they play.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's pretty cool, actually. That's that just tells you how determined she was to make sure that the book was written right. Kudos for her, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's just like how determined you are right now that we are actually like over here, like what, at like almost midnight now, right? And then we're trying to like make podcasts for the viewers.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because you keep messing up. Okay, anyways. All right, that was a joke, guys. Alright, right, right. Okay, so uh seven comes up a lot for some reason. Okay, so what do we know about seven?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you know, they have we have seven Harry Potter books, right? Yeah, yeah, and then we also have like what? Seven like uh siblings in the Weasley house. Yeah, that's true. The Weasley family, right? We also have a lot seven in the casino, too. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I let us see. No, no, no. But you know what? Don't forget the the film of the seven Harry Potter scene.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's true, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Seven Harry Potters, you know, yeah, that is pretty true.

SPEAKER_02

That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yep, yep. Okay, now do you know who who obviously played uh Draco Malfo? Uh my sorry, I'm gonna apologize.

SPEAKER_02

Malfo Draco? Draco Malfo.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that it was actually Tom Felton. Oh, yeah, yeah. So he before he went for casting, you know he didn't read any of the books at all for the audition? Oh wow, that that took some courage, man.

SPEAKER_02

He just walked in there and just like, all right, yeah, it's some some serious, serious courage skills and courage. Okay, like you know, that that you call that boller.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, all right, all right. So obviously, JK Rowland did this book, she put that kind of magic in there, yeah, and then a movie came out, movies came out, yeah, and you know, like with the movies, you obviously you got merch, yeah, you know, the stuff that we're wearing. Yeah, yeah. It costs money, man. Oh, that's right. You know, and it's still making money, it's still making profit. Oh, yeah, it's a great movie out of the times.

SPEAKER_02

That's true, that's true. And you know what, crazy though. You talk about magic, right?

SPEAKER_03

So you know I have some magic too. Okay, what's the oh man, I mean, here we go. Okay, is it this? Okay, uh nothing.

SPEAKER_02

How come it's not happening?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I don't know. Uh hang on. But but but here, you know, if you point it straight, then it maybe might work. Try it again. Maybe it didn't. Let me try this. There you go.

SPEAKER_02

That worked. I actually focused myself. All right, oh man, I need to go back to school.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, to learn how to do magic.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because if not, I'm gonna spiritual something.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man. Oh, Professor. Really? Okay, what else do we know about Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_02

What else do we know about Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, the mirror. The mirror.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you know the mirror that, like you know what I was talking about.

SPEAKER_03

I I forgot I had this hat on. Let me let me let me let me make sure. Continue with the mirror.

SPEAKER_02

Let's oh, okay. Yeah, the mirror. You know how there was uh the in the movie, right? He has he was standing in front of the mirror and he saw his parents. Yeah, and you know the name of that mirror, what's it called?

SPEAKER_03

What's it called?

SPEAKER_02

I cannot pronounce it. Okay, it's a mirror of like some works, and then like what and when you think that works, uh huh. Actually, if you spell it from from the back to the front for that works, uh huh, it means desire. Wow. Okay, okay. You know, that's wild, right? Right. So it's like that mirror is like show people, like show people, show their desire, right? And then when you look at the name, it be spelled that way, back to front. It's the name desire. Isn't that crazy? That is crazy. JK Rowland is awesome. Yeah, she knows how she thinks about this stuff, you know.

SPEAKER_03

She knew what she was doing, yeah. Definitely, definitely. Yeah, but you know, um, even with that, even with that, she knew she got it done, and obviously she that's right, she's good. Okay, so so what else? There's another fact, yeah. Uh, and Harry Potter in the movie, he was supposed to have blue eyes. Oh, really? Yeah, but he couldn't because the context were like irritated him. The same thing with uh Hermite. She in the book, she had like a teeth, uh-huh, but she couldn't wear the prosthetic teeth because she wasn't able to talk. So there was a lot of changes that were being done, you know. Oh wow, there's so they wanted to make it exactly like like in the book, but sometimes you can't do all of it, you know. And it's it's I the movie was still good, I still feel like it was good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you know. Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, there was another thing that I wanted to say. Oh, yeah, I remember there was there was someone that actually took the time to actually find out how many times now. Did you know that it was like I believe uh it was like 15? No, no, no, no, no, no. Not 15.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Can you get the number strict, man? I'm trying, I'm trying. Okay, 189. No, 18,956 times Harry Potter was mentioned. In what? In the movie? In the movie.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. That's been time. Somebody got all that time they actually sit there and count how many times.

SPEAKER_03

That that's that's like amazing, bro. Oh, you know, that he has that much time to do it.

SPEAKER_02

It's just like as much time that we try to make on the time machine.

SPEAKER_03

You know what? Yeah. Okay, well, let's not get there. Yeah, let's not get there.

SPEAKER_02

The viewer will, if they go back and watch uh the episode of the time machine a few episodes ago, then they will know exactly what we're talking about.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right, right, right. So, what what else we know, Professor? What else about Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_02

You know, Harry Potter is like um the way how it is, like the way how it is going right now, I think they are also like continue to try to make more like uh movies and like books and stuff like that, right? Right, right, right. Yeah, you know, like I would too.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, let's let's let's get to the fact. The fact is that this movie is still making money, yeah, it's still bringing a lot of revenue. So um do you think now they they are coming out with a new uh a new show of Harry Potter? Yeah, and I haven't seen it yet, but I think it's on HBO, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so like, yeah, okay, yeah. You know, hopefully HBO will be sponsoring us. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Not anytime soon. Yeah, but but yeah, um what else can we know about Harry Potter?

SPEAKER_02

What else can we know about Harry Potter? Yeah, you know, did you know that like when they had the whole whole movie in something like that? Like, you know how he was like uh get to the train station, right?

SPEAKER_03

Right, right. How he was like that it was what nine and three quarters?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's pretty cool, right? You know, like, oh what else? Do you know, like, oh, you know about the source of the stone, right? I have a stone too. Oh man. You know what stone that is? What is it? I'm gonna show you the stone. You see this stone right here? You see this stone right here? You know what this stone called? No, no, no, no. What is it called? I make it from the lab. Oh, okay. No, the the bathroom in the lab. He's talking the glee glue glue glue stone.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, okay, fine. Well, we just got saved by the bell for that. Anyways, uh, Professor, uh, it was good talking to you today about Harry Potter, and I'm assuming that you got to know a little more and able to understand the houses, because obviously you didn't know about that, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I didn't know. You did you taught me a lot today? Yeah, yeah, I know science, but now you know you know the book.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, finally. I I came up with something uh out of the ordinary. Yeah, but yeah, but anyways, uh anyway. Wait, what are you drinking there?

SPEAKER_02
