Friday's Community Prayer is an examen focused on unifying love.
Today's prayer is led by Jade Spears, Director of Mission Integration.
Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God, as we enter into prayer, we ask that You calm our hearts and minds while we reflect on this past week.
Take a moment to recognize the people or things that bring you joy in this world whether it is an activity, person, or aspect of nature.
Is it safe to assume you love those things?
Whether you thought of your best friend, the first big win of the season, or your favorite flower, in actuality you chose God.
Love is everywhere and whether its people or things in its deepest and purest form it is God because he created everything.
Now take a moment to reflect on whether you give thanks for all that God presents himself through that bring you love and joy.
Dear God, thank You for everything You made for us to experience. You made the trees, the oceans, and all living creatures but still decided it wasn’t enough. Not until you added us. Thank You for finding it in your merciful heart to love us unconditionally and invite us into your house even after we have deceived You. Help our faith to grow stronger than any of the doubtful thoughts that we hear inside of our heads. Amen. Let us pray our closing response together: Good and gracious God, guide me today and always. St. Joseph, Pray for Us.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
