Tuesday's Community Prayer honors St. Bernadette Soubirous.

Today's prayer is led by freshman Adleigh Watts.

Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

St. Bernadette Soubirous was a young girl from a poor family who struggled with illness yet remained strong in her faith. On February 11, 1858, while praying the rosary in a grotto in Lourdes, France, she encountered a beautiful lady dressed in white with a blue sash and yellow roses at her feet. The lady revealed herself as the “Immaculate Conception,” Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Despite doubt and opposition from others, Bernadette remained obedient and faithful. Mary appeared to her 18 times and instructed her to have a chapel built at the grotto, where a spring of water now flows, a place associated with thousands of recorded healings.

St. Bernadette’s life shows us that even without wealth, status, or perfect understanding, great things can happen through faith, trust, and obedience to God. She followed God’s call with courage, relying on faith even in times of uncertainty and suffering.

How can we, like Bernadette, persevere in our faith in a world that may not always believe? Do we trust that Mary leads us to Jesus, even when life is difficult? Do we remember that with God, all things are possible? When have we had to trust God without knowing how things would turn out?

Loving God, thank you for this day, for waking us up, and for bringing us safely to school. Thank you for our teachers, our friends, and the opportunity to learn and grow. Help us to know our worth in you and to trust that we can do all things with your help. Like St. Bernadette, give us the strength to remain faithful and obedient, especially in times of struggle. Fill us with peace and confidence in the plan you have for each of us. We love you, Lord, help us to love you more each day. Amen. Saints of God, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
