Wednesday's Community Prayer reflects on Psalms 34:2-3.
Today's prayer is led by Jade Spears, Director of Mission Integration.
Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
In Psalm chapter 34 verses 2 through 3, we read “I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall be always in my mouth. My soul will glory in the LORD; let the poor hear and be glad.”
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that God is always with us. Yet He is always here, and we are called to thank Him, acknowledge Him, and listen for Him in our lives. He is always working, even when we forget. No matter how difficult or challenging life may feel, we continue to praise God for everything He has given us and everything that is still to come.
We are also called to live out our faith. Spread the Word not only with your friends, but with everyone through your heart, your words, and your actions. Your actions reflect who you are. Do not take anything for granted; always thank God, remembering that all we have comes from Him. Live as Jesus calls us to live: as His servants, sharing His love with others.
Ask yourself: What has God gifted me today? When have I forgotten His presence in my life? How can I remember that He is always there? How can I praise Him today and every day? Do I praise Jesus or live only for myself? Do I spread kindness or negativity to others? How do I share God’s Word through my life?
Let us pray: Dear God, we thank You today and always for all the gifts You have given us. Help us to remember Your goodness even when the world feels difficult and forgive us when we forget You. Remind us that You always have a plan for us. Guide us to live as Your servants, spreading Your love through our words and actions. Thank You for allowing us to learn about You and share Your grace and forgiveness with others. Bless us as we seek to bless You, now and always. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Jesus, remember me. St. Joseph, pray for us.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
