Tuesday's Community Prayer honors St. Catherine of Siena.

Take a moment to quiet yourselves and prepare for community prayer.

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

St. Catherine of Siena was a mystic known for her profound spirituality and dedication to the poor and sick. Despite having no formal education, she became a powerful spiritual writer and advisor to popes and political leaders. Throughout her life, she faced many hardships but chose not to question her faith. Instead, she deepened it. St. Catherine spent much of her time caring for the sick, the poor, and prisoners. People admired her kindness and wisdom, and many came to her for advice, including priests and rulers.

Her deep love for God and tireless service to others make her a model of faith and charity. She shows us how to treat our neighbors with compassion and reminds us that holiness is not just for saints, but for anyone who follows Jesus with courage and love.

Let us reflect: How can we be more like St. Catherine of Siena? What fears or doubts might be holding us back from fully trusting God? What moments in your life have you needed someone to help you when you were sick or suffering? In what ways can we serve the poor, the sick, or those around us? How does St. Catherine’s example remind us that one person can make a difference in the world?

Dear God, please keep us safe in Your loving care and protect us from harm each day. Watch over our families and friends wherever we go. Help us to live a life like St. Catherine of Siena, fully devoted to Christ and always ready to help those around us. Strengthen our faith, guide us with Your light and love, and help us to live holy lives. We thank You for her example and for always being with us. Amen. Together we pray: Saints of God, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us.
