Today's prayer is led by Jade Spears, Director of Mission Integration.
Good afternoon. Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.
In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God, on this Reflective Friday. Let us take a few moments to reflect on this first day of school we have enjoyed together and look ahead to the school year to come.
Invite the Holy Spirit to help you see the past few days as God has seen them.
Be thankful. Name the gifts of the past few days and thank God for them.
Notice God's presence. Where did you feel an increase of love?
Notice where you felt what seemed like a lack of God's presence. Where did you feel a decrease of love this week?
Look to the future. Ask God for the grace you need in the week ahead.
Let us pray: God of Love, we are grateful for this first day of school and the embrace of Your love in our SJA community. We ask that you increase in each of us the love you have shared with the Sisters of St. Joseph that we might be fortified to carry on their work in our shared charism that all may be one this school year. Amen. St. Joseph, Pray for Us.
