Monday's Community Prayer focuses on Maxim 4 - “Let your life be a continuous act of love.”

Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.

In the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Father Jean Pierre Medaille left the Sisters of St. Joseph with short, spiritual sayings called Maxims that gave guidance on how to live. Maxim 4 states, “Let your life be a continuous act of love.”

As we begin our first full week of school, God, we ask You to guide each of us to live with love in all that we do. Help us remember that love is shown not only in big moments, but in the small choices we make every day; it is in the way we speak to one another, the way we include someone who feels left out, the patience we show when things are difficult, and the kindness we offer even when no one is watching. When we are stressed by schoolwork, worried about friendships, or unsure of ourselves, remind us that Your love is always with us. Give us the courage to be compassionate, to forgive quickly, and to see the good in ourselves and in others.

May our SJA community be a place where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. Help us encourage one another, celebrate each other's successes, and lift each other up through challenges. Let our words and actions reflect the love You have shown us. God, we simply ask that Maxim 4 inspire us this week and throughout the year to make love the foundation of our decisions, our relationships, and our lives. Amen. St. Joseph, Pray for Us.
