Monday's Community Prayer focuses on Maxim 8 - “Let your resolutions draw their strength from your firm trust in God.”

Today's prayer is led by Jade Spears, Director of Mission Integration.

Take a moment to quiet yourselves in preparation for community prayer.

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Maxim 8 states, “Let your resolutions draw their strength from your firm trust in God.”

At the beginning of the school year, we often discuss our goals for the year and maybe even write resolutions. We promise ourselves that we'll study harder, be kinder, overcome bad habits, or stop procrastinating. But sometimes, even with good intentions, we fall short. We get discouraged, compare ourselves to others, or feel like giving up.

This maxim reminds us that our strength doesn't come only from our own determination; it comes from trusting God. When we place our dreams, our struggles, and our efforts in His hands, we discover that we don't have to face life's challenges alone. God gives us the courage to keep trying, the wisdom to make good choices, and the hope to begin again when we fail.

As young women, you will face many pressures about who you should be or how you should measure up. Instead of relying only on your own abilities or seeking approval from others, choose to place your confidence in God. Trust that He has a beautiful plan for your life and will guide you every step of the way. When your resolutions are built on faith, they become more than just promises. They become a journey with God, who never stops walking beside you.

Good and gracious God, thank You for loving us and for always being faithful. As we strive to grow in our studies, friendships, family life, and faith, help us to remember that we are never alone. Bless each of us with confidence rooted in Your love, hearts that seek what is good, and faith that grows stronger each day. May we become young women who inspire others through kindness, integrity, and trust in You. We ask all this in Jesus' name. Amen. St. Joseph, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
