SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Maybe I Question three. Which Apple computer had a human name? A Lisa. B, Mary, C, Gracie.
SPEAKER_00I don't think it's C. I'm gonna go with B.

SPEAKER_00I was thinking, like, you know, Mary the mother of Jesus. You know, that's a good name.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she'd have to be the mother of like a Hindu temple or I don't remember whatever. Whatever his thing was. Not a roast of any uh No, no, no, no. Which genius was on the original Apple logo? Albert Einstein? Isaac Newton or Michael Shermach? Yes, I put that on my notes.

SPEAKER_00Oh. So that was that where that came from?
SPEAKER_01I I don't know if that's totally it for the name invention, but that was a part of it. Yeah, dude. I hear you.
SPEAKER_00Are you talking into the mic?
unknownNope.
SPEAKER_01Nope. Okay.

SPEAKER_00With no case.
SPEAKER_01With no case, and uh, I love it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Mike picked it out.

SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Number six. How many pounds is one bushel of apples?
SPEAKER_00A bushel and a peck? A bushel is two pounds.

SPEAKER_01Yes. Skip to the iPhone 3G specifically, but yes, you got it. Number eight. Who runs Apple today? Hint. His name is Tim. I was gonna give you a second hint. I will if you need it. It is not Tim Apple, as Trump once called him. Did you see this?
SPEAKER_00Yes, I actually did. Uh the only Tim I know is our cousin, so shout out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Quick shout out. Um it rhymes with book.
SPEAKER_00Cook?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01There we go.
SPEAKER_00Like I act like I knew it.
SPEAKER_01Now I um oh, I have a special thing for the end of this episode. Okay. I totally forgot. It's in my notes. Okay. La uh two more questions for you, then we have one for the listener.

SPEAKER_01Number eight. Oh no. One more for you.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01What's the name of the new MacBook? A Bluey. B Neo. C Starro.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna say Starro.

SPEAKER_01That's okay. So now I'm gonna ask what should I do here? I have a special thing to read. Should I do that now? And then the question?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. We're gonna end with the question.
SPEAKER_01I think we'll uh transition out of the song.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Um let's both read this. This is really sweet. Okay, I know Apple is a trillion dollar company.
SPEAKER_00Horrible people. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yep. But Tim Cook wrote this about 50 years, and I I liked it. Um Tim Apple, our dear friend. Fifty years ago, in a small garage, a big idea was born. Apple was founded on the simple notion that technology should be personal. And that belief, radical at the time, changed everything. April 1st marks 50 years of Apple, from the first Apple computer to the Mac, from iPod to iPhone, iPad to Apple Watch, and AirPods. As well as the services we use every day, kind of an Apple commercial. The App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay, iCloud, and Apple TV. We've spent five decades rethinking what's possible and putting powerful tools into people's hands. Through every breakthrough, one idea has guided us that the world is moved forward by people who do you know their motto?
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01Think different. I don't really know it either, but I was reminded by this. Uh I'll do one more paragraph and then pass it to you. Okay. That's because progress always begins with someone an inventor or scientist, a student or storyteller who imagines a better way, a new idea, a different path. That spirit has guided Apple from the start, but it was it has never belonged to us alone. Here you go, Grace.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, way.
SPEAKER_01Take my iPhone.
SPEAKER_00Mike, what? This is a commercial. Every invention we bring into the world is just the beginning of a story. The most meaningful chapters are written by all of you. And M-dash. The people who Sorry. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01AI generated.
SPEAKER_00The people who use our technology to work, learn, dream, and discover. You've made breakthroughs and launched businesses. You've cheered up loved ones in the hospital and captured your toddler's first steps. You've run marathons, written books, and rekindled friendships. You've chased your curiosity, found your new favorite song, and shared stories that connect us all. In your hands, the tools we make have improved lives and sometimes even saved them. And that is what inspires us. Not what technology can do alone, but everything you can do with it. At Apple, we are more focused on building tomorrow than remembering yesterday. But we couldn't let this milestone pass without thanking the millions of people who make Apple what it is today. Our incredible teams around the world, our developer community, and every customer who has joined us on this journey. Your ideas inspire our work, your trust drives us to do better, your stories remind us of all we can accomplish when we think different. If you've taught us anything, it's that the people crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. So here's to the crazy ones the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs and the square holes, the ones who see things different. Here's to you.
SPEAKER_01So do you know what that last part is from? That's an old Apple com or uh yeah, computer commercial, I think.
SPEAKER_00Oh. So a little Easter egg.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00There were three M dashes.
SPEAKER_01I know. I uh I hope he just does that.
SPEAKER_00Some people do just use them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm just skeptical of them.
SPEAKER_01Well, how do you feel?
SPEAKER_00Uh I feel proud to own an iPhone.
SPEAKER_01I know, it was kind of cool. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I know it's like a big commercial, but I will say I don't use Apple Maps. I use Google Maps.
SPEAKER_01I know you do. You're old-fashioned. Because that's how they started. Okay, should we should we get out of here?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we need our question for the road. Oh. Oh!
SPEAKER_01I uh played the outro too early.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh question for the road. Which of the following are famous Apple TV shows? More than one, friends.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I mean, I won't answer.
SPEAKER_01Severance, Ted Lasso, Breaking Bad, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
SPEAKER_00I'm not confident, but uh, I'm not gonna answer this one. That's for you to answer.
SPEAKER_01Get on that on that feedback button, and uh, we're gonna give you a shout out if you win on the podcast. And actually, I think you get like your own little mini episode. I'm just gonna like post a little thing. This guy won. So win.
SPEAKER_00Adios! Adios!
