In this episode of The Spark Show, Maria sits down with her friend Taylor Piazza, a Florida native, mother of two, and a woman deeply passionate about Jesus, freedom, and deliverance.
Taylor shares her powerful testimony — beginning with her childhood and the ways God was working in her life even before she fully understood it. She opens up about her journey of faith, the challenges she faced along the way, and how the Lord led her into deeper healing, freedom, and relationship with Him.
The conversation then turns to a recent retreat in Tampa where Taylor experienced something unforgettable — including a moment involving gold glitter that she believes pointed to the presence and beauty of God in a profound way.
Together, Maria and Taylor explore what it means to pursue God wholeheartedly, how spiritual breakthrough can happen in unexpected ways, and why testimonies like these continue to strengthen faith and encourage others.
Whether you’re curious about the supernatural, searching for deeper healing, or simply longing to hear how God is moving in people’s lives today, this episode is filled with encouragement and hope.

Welcome to the Spark Show. Today I'm joined by my friend Taylor Piazza, a Florida native, a mother of two, and a woman who is deeply passionate about Jesus, freedom, and deliverance. She recently attended a retreat in Tampa that left a powerful mark on her life, and today she's here to share her experience, including an unforgettable moment involving gold glitter, the presence of God, and the deeper spiritual significance behind it all. But this conversation is about more than just one moment at a retreat. It's about Taylor's story, her childhood, her faith journey, the battle she has faced, and the way God has continued to reveal Himself through every season. Taylor, welcome to the Spark Show. We are so honored to have you here. Yeah, I'm happy to be here. Thank you for having me. Of course. So let's start with your retreat experience. What led you to attend this retreat in Tampa?
SPEAKER_01So it was all definitely God-driven, all Holy Spirit-led. I had no plan or intention on going, and he just dropped it in my heart to ask my friend if I can join her, and it all just happened perfectly. And there I was, just there that weekend, and it was it was very divine. He he really led me out there to touch me and to just wake up my dry bones.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Did you feel like God was already preparing your heart for something before the retreat began?
SPEAKER_01I did because um that Sunday at church um I got prayed over and I just woke up feeling woke up the next day feeling lighter and more full of joy and full of his presence. So I definitely I felt he was just pulling me in, pulling me closer, and and he took me away with him for the weekend.
SPEAKER_00Amazing. Yeah. So can you walk us through what happened during the retreat?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, a lot happened. The glory, the presence was definitely there. So tell us about this gold glitter experience. So, well, the gold glitter happened at the very end. And really, my takeaway from it was when you don't rush, when you don't, when you're not going by the agenda, when you're not going by the time, when you're not rushing out of the building, the Lord can have something special for the ones who wait and linger and see if he just has one more thing, if he just does one more thing, and and that's what happened. So we were we just worship just struck out again, and we were all in worship, and I was at the front, I was at the altar, and I started seeing I thought it was dust. I thought I was seeing a lot of dust in the air, and then I it was coming down harder, and I I I just was seeing more of it, and the way the lights were going, it wasn't dust. And Jenny, who was on stage and another worship um singer, they they looked at each other and were like, What's this? Like, what like we're seeing this, and they just started lifting up their hands, and we all like in unity all saw it. So the the the hundreds of women that were in that room saw it, and it was all over the room. There was no way it was anything other than from heaven, from God. So I I start lifting up my hands, and I am just in total awe of what I was seeing in front of me, and and my hands are just up, and my knees go on the floor because the glory and the presence of God became so strong in the room, and then I I look up and everybody's on the floor. Wow, everybody's on their knees because like the king was in the room, like heaven, heaven opened. It was something supernatural that I never experienced something like that before. So it was really beautiful.
SPEAKER_00That is so beautiful. Yeah. What would you say to someone who's hungry for a real encounter with God?
SPEAKER_01I would say to to cry out, to cry out to him no matter what you have going on in life, no matter how you're feeling, no matter what's going on, that he is there for you, and he is your father, and you can cry out to him at any moment, and he will be there, he will show up in some way for you. And and the more hungry you are, the more the more he will show you. Like the ones who waited, we were still hungry, so hungry for him, and then he he did something special like that.
SPEAKER_00So what would you say to someone who is skeptical of supernatural experiences?
SPEAKER_01I would say ask him. Ask him to show you something supernatural. And in my opinion, he is supernatural. He is still the living God, he is the same God he was all the way in the beginning of the Bible to the end until now. So I would just I would say to ask him and and uh ask people about their testimonies and to just have an open heart and an open ear and and to not to not be cl closed up to those things.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And speaking of testimony, when did Jesus become real to you personally?
SPEAKER_01He became real to me. Well, he always was. He always was real to me. I just I just chose my flesh and I I I just chose a life of sin.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, speaking of which, you have quite quite the testimony, and um I do want to leave our reader, why the listeners, with a little bit more background on you, so uh to know where you came from, to know where you now are. So um, yeah, take us back. Just take us back, introduce yourself, and um tell us how bad it got before it got good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I grew up in a I would say like a half Christian household. Like my mother believed in the Lord, she loved him. My mom was a big end times woman. She was always like, the rapture's gonna happen at any moment. You might not you might not be here when you're 20 years old, right? Just so you know. So that let some fear in just itself. Uh, like she would explain it in almost not really a healthy way, yeah. So I always heard the rapture was gonna happen, Jesus is coming, and I I was with that, right? But I didn't have much more than that. Besides my grandma, thank God for her, she showed me more of the love of God and like the the sweetness of him and how I I was loved by him and special to him. She she would pour out his love onto me and how she lives her life. So she was a big part, she is a big part of who I am today and my strength in the Lord. But my father, um, you know, he he he I don't he never truly gave his life to Christ. Um my parents are separated and he still has not given his life to Christ. Um so he he was supportive, but he he not he never really he never really opened himself up. So and my mom, I I I believe that she resented him for that, and she just carried a lot of resentment and bitterness, and they led to um a divorce when I was 18, and that opened up a big can of worms in my life. I and I I was in a three-year relationship in high school that I wish I would have not uh they I wish that they would not have let me be in, um, because they knew it was toxic, but yeah, so that ended, they ended, and then my life kind of just started spiraling. I had no guidance, both my parents just started doing their own thing uh with drugs, alcohol, um uh substances to where I started using substances, weed more than I was, and then that opened up the door to clubbing and then homosexuality because I was so hurt by men that the relationship I was in, and then my father was hurting, and I couldn't help him, and our relationship just wasn't there already, and there was just a lot of confusion and hurt going on, so that homosexual lifestyle was in my life for a couple years, um, but God definitely 100% pulled me out with strong, strong conviction. The conviction just started getting heavier and heavier and heavier, and then one day I was in my car driving, listening to worship music, and I just I just cried out. I cried out and I laid it down and he and he freed me from it. And then I I was single for a while and was just doing my own thing, still smoking a lot of weed and numbing myself, just working, smoking, hanging out with friends, and then I met my now husband, and we we bonded on how we both knew the Lord, loved him, but we were still both living in sin. And we started a relationship, and it was really great. Um, but you know, we were we were living in sin, and I got pregnant, and we had our daughter, and when she was about eight, nine months old, we started having really heavy conviction in our lives, especially me, about fornication and smoking, and you know, just living a life outside of surrendered. We weren't living a surrendered life. So, yeah, God just met us both and picked us up, pulled us out of our sin, and we just surrendered it all, surrendered it all to him, and he just started doing a lot of things in our life, and I started really understanding who he was, and he the past three years has been just showing me more and more of who he is and his love and grace and how much he truly cares for me, so and that's what led me to this retreat this last week.
SPEAKER_00So that's so beautiful, yeah. That is so so beautiful, and um, yeah, you mentioned that after your daughter was nine months, that's when you've really started leaning into God. So, how has becoming a mother shaped your relationship with God and deepened your dependence on Jesus?
SPEAKER_01Well, it it made me want to start living a holier life, and I mean, you know, motherhood is it can be a lot. So leaning on him, having him has been just just what what what I've needed to keep going some days, you know, it's like when I'm doing dishes, I can talk to him. When I'm when I'm just like getting frustrated, like I will just talk to him, have a quick little conversation with him, and and that'll that'll keep me going. So just even throughout the busy life of motherhood, being able to have my relationship with him, it it just keeps me going, yeah. And um yeah, and uh last year, all of 2025, I had my son, Joshua, and I there was some times where I would lean into the Lord more and and be leaning on him for my strength, and and he was my strength all last year, but I kind of started dwelling in in the tiredness and in the in the frustration of just dealing with a toddler and then a baby, just being so needed and hardly having any time for myself. I got really um very just irritable all the time and dry. So just like dry in my in my words and in my in my love for my husband, for for my for my family, for my friends. So the Lord bringing me to this retreat really he just poured out his love and his and his oil on me, like he gave me new oil.
SPEAKER_00So I just I I I thank him so much for that. It's so beautiful. Yeah. What would you say to other moms who feel overwhelmed, weary, or spiritually dry?
SPEAKER_01I would say don't give up. Don't give up. You have a father in heaven who sees you and who loves you, and he is there at any second that you need him, and these seasons will pass, and and to just trust him and don't give up. Don't let yourself don't let yourself just like stay in the hole. Like seek seek your father who loves you and and he's there.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, it's just so beautiful. And I know you're also passionate about deliverance. So, what has your experience with deliverance been? How does deliverance manifest for you? And uh, what what have you um like what's the need for deliverance?
SPEAKER_01So, you know, I so that there's there's generational curses, right? So sometimes we're we're dealing with that, and then also just from the things, you know, we we let in our lives, like the homosexuality, the the smoking, the the scary movies, like that that I had opened doors in my life, and then I also was dealing with some things that my parents have dealt with. Um, so that's actually how the Lord truly met me in 2022, me and my husband. He he met me with with deliverance. So I just I started learning about it, and I started, I I I would be hearing people speaking about spirits, speaking about deliverance and the freedom with it, and I would start to feel my body like I would start feeling something in my throat. So I I would just I would know that like demons were in me, and and I would have just unnecessary rage, anger, and stuff like that, and and I would be hard on myself, like why am I like this? Why do I act like this? Like, I don't want to feel like this. So when I started seeing receiving deliverance, I I got so passionate about it because I was just able to really feel more of myself on who like who the Lord really designed me to be when all that like anger and rage was keeping me somebody that I was not designed to be.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, just delay it's it he set me, he set me free through with deliverance, and then he started showing me more and more of who he was. So he pulled that out of me and then poured into me.
SPEAKER_00Love that yeah for someone who's interested in getting delivered of demons. What would you suggest they do or where to start?
SPEAKER_01Um I would suggest I mean, I would definitely suggest just talking to the Lord about it. I would suggest just crying out to him on like what you're dealing with and how you feel because he already knows for one, but when you start confessing that and confronting those things in your life, you know, he he can just he can speak to you on that, and also I would I would just I would research it and I would I would also look in the Bible about it because he talks about it so much. He says the deliverance or deliverance is the children's bread. Wow. So the children is is us, the believers. Wow, it wasn't just like the Jews in that time, it it is Christians now who are suppressed and oppressed with things of this world. Like, yeah, we are saved, we have the Holy Spirit, but guess what? The Holy Spirit lives in your spirit. These demons can live in your soul, your your body parts, it's you know, it's so speaking of which, let's talk about open doors, okay, like reasons to be delivered.
SPEAKER_00I know you talked about like your horror movies that you were exposed to, um, Halloween, um, and then obviously lust and all that stuff, but like what are like open doors that a lot of people don't realize that they are allowing demons like straight into their heart, soul, and mind?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I mean that there are a ton of open doors in this world. So, you know, I mean, definitely what we watch because our eyes are a gatekeeper, you know, to our soul, to our spirit, to our body, our ears, even listening to certain stuff. What what music we listen to is very important. I mean, Satan himself was like the the the head angel of music, so we know that he's very deep in the music industry. Um, and scary movies is definitely something you don't want to be doing because that's opening yourself up to things that are demonic. And uh, you know, drugs, substances, it's just it's an open door into your into your body and to into you. So it's just it's mindful. It's it's good to be mindful of what as a Christian, like what you should and shouldn't be allowing, you know, your yourself access to. Right. And just like asking the Holy Spirit to just teach you more to to for me and my husband, we would always joke about it, and we would be like, what gives you the ick? Like, what gives us the ick? Like, for me, it's like I mean, even like seeing like dream catchers, evil eyes, like uh just all new age stuff, like that stuff gives me the ick. Yeah, so whenever I get an ick about something, I'm like, oh, I don't gotta be careful with that.
SPEAKER_00So 100%, yeah. And you and I earlier were were even talking about Disney movies and Cinderella and Elsa and those type of things. So, um, and you at first were talking about how you didn't want any part in that, but then by the end of our conversation, you were thinking other things. So, like, walk me through that because the Bible, you know, does say whatever's true, pure, noble, honorary, you know, joyful. Like, do those things, but like, where's like the gray area, or where when do we say no to our kids? When do we say yes, and in what ways can we be too overbearing and too gatekeepy?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so something I Was just mindful about was um magic and just like trying to keep magic away as much as possible from what my daughter was watching, so that's why I was pretty skeptical about just like certain Disney stuff because there's always like oh the the witch cursed the apple or this and that, so yeah, it was just something I was wrestling with on like Disney princesses and stuff, and but then I realized you know I I I can't keep all of that from her, I can't, because she's gonna grow up seeing other little girls do that, and and you know, I I'm just gonna really be me and my husband are gonna be teaching her to have her own discernment and to just like what what she is able to catch on what's what's good and what's not, right? Because now, like, she knows we don't celebrate Halloween, and she she she's cool with that. She's like, no, like Halloween's not good, it is evil.
SPEAKER_00Walk me through that. When did you guys get convicted of Halloween? And how did you get your three-year-old to be on board with that?
SPEAKER_01So I uh my mom did not, we never celebrated Halloween. I never celebrate I never celebrated Halloween. I did a couple times when I got older with my friends, but even then I would feel convicted about it because of how my mother raised me. So I always knew it just for to me, it's like, why as a Christian are you going to just celebrate one day out of the year that is all about scary things, all about demonic things. That's just something you know I'm not I'm not doing. And my children are not, we're not gonna be raising them to have part in that. And my husband was totally on board with that. He when my when he got saved 10 years ago, he instantly knew. He instantly, like the Holy Spirit just instantly dropped that in him that you know Halloween is obviously not of God, and um a lot of Christians will fight tooth and nail for that because they grew up doing it, and they will so many Christians will stay like stand up more for Halloween than they will for Jesus sometimes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I I've personally lost more friends on the Halloween topic than abortion, homosexuality, um uh race, I don't care, any other topic combined. Yeah, that's what I mean. They will fight the church people, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01They will fight tooth and nail for it just because it's so funny. Like it just like tickles a part of their childhood. I don't know. It's just like we we have to be willing to give up everything. Our lives, our lives, like if people will just they want to play. They're they don't they don't they wanna keep some things, they wanna they don't want to let go of some things when he tells us not to love the world. Yeah, and that is certainly a part of the world. So yeah, me my me and my husband, we just we didn't we didn't like pound it in her head, like hey, like we don't like a super like intense thing. We just gently spoke how you know we we don't celebrate Halloween, other people do, but we love God and and we honor God, and it's it's it's there's evil stuff, there's bad stuff about Halloween, and it's not something that our family does, and she she's okay with it because and she she loves she loves our family, so she she respects what we say about stuff like that. So I love that, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And I also love that we can literally dress up every day as like fun things, you know? Like if you want to wear a butterfly costume, let's do that like every day. Right, right. Why do we have to choose this one day that just so happens to be the most satanic day of the year where more child sacrificing, human sacrificing, drinking blood, all the weird stuff is happening? Right, like why don't we dress up like princesses and wear tutus like on the norm? Why does it have to be on this evil day? Yeah, so it's not about the dress up and candy. If you want candy, we can get candy. Like, why are we making that all about that day? If you want to go knock on your friend's door, why are we making it about that day? You can knock on your friend's door any day, you know? Yeah, it's like, come on, don't be so attached. Love not the world or the things in the world, because the things in the world are passing away, but the word of God stands true forever. Whatever is pure, whatever is holy, whatever is of right conduct, do these things. Be not, do not the Bible's very clear. Do not um consult the dead, do not, you know, do not um do not partake in drinking of blood.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And do not um for a wizard or a um someone who speaks the dead to to live, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and so many things like that happen on Halloween.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all of it.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, all of it.
SPEAKER_00I'm very passionate about that because if you can't if you can't stand up for what's right on one, like on that day, how can you stand up for what's right any other day? You know, and we are gonna be we're gonna have to give an account for all of our actions one day. And Jesus, one day we're gonna stand before Jesus and he's gonna say, You're either on the right or the left, you're a part of my sheep or my goats, like and then he's gonna say, Depart from me, you wicked into everlasting fire that's been prepared for the devil and his angels, because you did not do what I said. You know, you uh you you you call me Lord, Lord, and do things in my name, but like your heart's far from me, depart from me. And then he says to his sheep, Come, you blessed of my father, come inherit the kingdom which has been prepared for you from the foundations of the earth. I was hungry, you gave me to eat, you I was thirsty and you gave me to drink, I was sick and you visited me, I was imprisoned, you came to me. You know, and then we'll say, When do we do these things? He says, often as you did it for the least of these my brethren, you did it for me. So we gotta be ready to lay down our life for him. And if we can't give up Halloween, which is a very low-hanging fruit, how can we give up our life?
SPEAKER_01Preach, amen. Like it's uh to me it it's it's hard for me to like uh even like level with people about it just because I never celebrated it. Like I was always like, nah, like this is not this is not of God, and I was I was okay with it as a child too. Um yeah, but it it's just like it to me, it's just common sense. It's like literally like the the the enemy and and so many things about him are glorified on this day. Yeah, yeah. Why no? It's not about fun with the kids, it's like we can do something else that's fun on that day, yeah. Like it no exactly, exactly. We're not missing out. No, I'm I'm saving them so much I'm saving them like baggage.
SPEAKER_00Open doors.
SPEAKER_01Open doors by yeah, so you're welcome.
SPEAKER_00You're welcome, you're welcome. Taylor, before we close, is there anything you feel the Lord would want someone listening today to hear?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I feel the Lord saying, don't box him in. Don't box him in. He is I am who I am, and he can do whatever he wants. He can show you himself in so many different ways. Do you know how many testimonies are out there from each believer that has encountered him? He's the god of the impossible, he can do anything. So, some gold glory dust coming down in the room where all weekend his daughters were crying out, calling to him is not nothing that does not surprise me. Like it doesn't surprise me. I just say thank you, Lord. Like, thank you for showing me something from you. Thank you. Thank you. So don't box him in. Keep your heart and your eyes open to whatever it is he wants to do.
SPEAKER_00Amen.
SPEAKER_01Because he loves doing things that strengthen our faith. Faith preach. Like faith is the only thing that pleases him. So if he wants to strengthen your faith with some supernatural things or whatever it is, he will do it. Don't box him in. Don't box him in.
SPEAKER_00Don't box him in. Taylor, thank you so much for being here and for sharing your heart so openly today.
