Augmented Artisans
Over many months I’ve had many late-night conversations with Google’s AI assistant “Gemini.” Our discussions have included heath and medical issues, real estate transactions, politics, economics, legal issues, and questions of which I have concerns about humanity’s collective and purpose on this planet. I have also worked with AI to assist me in the books I write, from research to pacing, and answers to questions about which I know little. This is the first the podcasts related to our chats! Please let me know if the podcast provide any value.

The Shifting Sands of Morality
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode, host George explores the evolving nature of morality and whether concepts of right and wrong are absolute or relative to culture and time. Using historical examples like slavery, gender roles, and shifting societal norms, the discussion delves into moral relativism versus moral absolutism. Gemini, an AI co-host, provides insights into how morality changes across generations, influenced by cultural movements like "Me Too" and political double standards. The conversation also touches on navigating cultural hypocrisy and understanding moral frameworks. Gemini introduces a metaphor, "The Moral River and the Shifting Paths," to illustrate the fluidity of morality over time. The episode concludes with reflections on the role of AI in shaping societal norms and adapting to change.
