"Shootings, Drownings & Cover-Ups in Venice" - Venice Pulse Episode 20 with Sandy, Chuck & Brother Jim

Uncover the surreal chaos lurking beneath Venice's vibrant facade as Sandy, Chuck & regular guest Jim Buck dive into overlooked shootings, mysterious drownings and political fireworks. How much is really happening beneath the surface—and why isn't the mainstream media covering it? In this episode, you'll discover the bizarre details behind a recent Venice bar shooting that barely made the news, the strange “dangerous” history of Macarthur Park Lake and the open Venice Beach audition for the rebooted Baywatch show… on the windiest day of the year! The trio ask why some local incidents fly under the radar – is it because L.A. is hosting both the FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympics and it doesn’t want its reputation tarnished? The hosts break down wild claims about the police presence, the bizarre influence of conspiracy theories, and the hidden history of reparations—did you know Mississippi’s economy rivals Britain’s? The podcast ends with a humorous yet disturbing discussion about the rise of "Furries" and the subsequent absurdity of “Furry” school litter boxes. Whether you're a Venice local, a political junkie, or simply curious about the unseen forces shaping Venice and the USA today, then this episode is your insiders-only pass!

Venice Pulse is a podcast focusing on Venice Beach and beyond. It is hosted by Venice residents Sandy Clark and Chuck Whobrey. Sandy has been on the cutting edge of both written and televised journalism for the last 30 years. Her credits include NHK, CBC, ABC, BBC, AMI (various publications), the Daily Mail and the Westside Current.

Originally from the UK, Chuck was once on the BBC's Newsnight talking about "Ecstasy". Besides that, he has no qualifications whatsoever when it comes to hosting a current affairs type show!
