Speaker 2:

Season one. It's

Speaker 3:

almost over.

Speaker 2:

We did it.

Speaker 3:

Welcome to the season one finale of

Speaker 2:

not just season one finale of who Let us Adult. Episode 10.

Speaker 3:

10 gets 12. No

Speaker 2:

episode 10

Speaker 3:

in a quarter.

Speaker 2:

We did it in half. We did it. We hit our goal.

Speaker 3:

We did. We did what? What? We did it.

Speaker 2:

We did it. We did it. Alright. I don't know what what that is. It's,

Speaker 3:

yeah, one of those kid songs.

Speaker 2:

And if you're watching this on YouTube.

Speaker 3:

Hi Nye. You can probably hear her actually, she's,

Speaker 2:

she's breathing pretty heavily right now. Yeah. She was not

Speaker 3:

happy. She's smiling now'cause she's like, I hear my name. Yeah. And you guys got me from the crying crib.

Speaker 2:

This is why

Speaker 3:

it's been so hard. We need to

Speaker 2:

take a break for a little bit.

Speaker 3:

Grow up slowly.

Speaker 2:

You, you sounded like the girl. Grow up,

Speaker 3:

grow up very slowly.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. We're here. We made it 10 episodes.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm. 10 full episodes.

Speaker 2:

10 full episodes, two bonus episodes. So 12 total, which is pretty awesome. Yeah. I did it and I'm happy. Happy to have done it with you.'cause it was fun. It was like our little date night. Mm-hmm. Plus our little guest,

Speaker 3:

our date night. Plus one. Plus one. You crashed Two. Two episodes. She was the

Speaker 2:

third wheel.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Often.

Speaker 3:

Right? It was fun. Yeah. And

Speaker 2:

we learned a lot. Still learning. Speaking

Speaker 3:

of, of learning. You know, what did we learn when it comes to what

Speaker 2:

you say it?

Speaker 3:

Oh, listen, podcast equipment is way too easy to get, but no, um, it is way

Speaker 2:

too easy to get, but people act like this is easy, right? Like. I props to people putting out podcasts because consistent

Speaker 3:

podcasts

Speaker 2:

consistently, because this is, it's a lot that goes into doing this.

Speaker 3:

I remember some Wednesdays I would go all day and go, oh crap, we have a podcast to film tonight. And they'd, I'd text you, what is our topic? And then I'm crash coursing trying to figure out what I'm gonna talk about. We've also, we've also had episodes where we've. Filmed 15 minutes into it and I've been like, yo, I hate this topic. And we've been like, all right, scrap it. Yeah. So we were recorded for, you know, prepped for for 15 minutes, recorded for another 15, and then decided, eh, we didn't really like it, and moved on to something else.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. And we were cool with that. We're cool with everything and flowing. We were cool with mm-hmm. You know, just changing. Yeah. Pivoting.

Speaker 3:

One of the kids broke one of our mics.

Speaker 2:

Right from junk. Yeah. Which I think was a sign that we should have always used.

Speaker 3:

We didn't have it.

Speaker 2:

Something simple. Yeah. I hope this

Speaker 3:

is picking me up. Should, should be, but no, we, um, yeah, I mean that's true. I guess. I mean, our other model was simple though. It really was.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

You know, and honestly, the downside, like that's one thing too we've had, we've had. It's mess kind of mishaps and mess ups with recording and audio issues and you know, broken mic from the kiddos. Mm-hmm. It's just, yeah, we've learned a lot. It was, uh, a wild first season. Super fun.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Super fun.

Speaker 2:

What have you loved about it?

Speaker 3:

Uh, talking to you

Speaker 2:

our little date nights.

Speaker 3:

Yes. I, I, I said it multiple times. I keep saying

Speaker 2:

mean because we, this is what we do normally. Yeah. Now we're just, we have a camera and a mic in front of us. It's pillow talk. Yeah. This is

Speaker 3:

what most people don't realize is this is like us at like one o'clock at night, one one o'clock in the morning and it's like sitting on the pillow of TVs off it's page dark in our room. Mm-hmm. We're just talking about nothing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Or sometimes something.

Speaker 2:

And a lot of the times something it's, yeah, they get, it's a lot of nothing. Whatever.

Speaker 3:

It's a lot of nothing. Love is blind. Nothing.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that. I mean, that's. Education right there. It's fun. It's just fun. It's funny.

Speaker 3:

I wanna know if there's, if there's any other couples out there that do what we do. Like last night, I love anime. I'm watching an anime on, on the tv and Jazz just comes into the room after her class grabs her iPad, grabs my AirPods, and she's watching dancing. Of all things. Of course she's watching dancing. Of course.

Speaker 2:

I'm watching dancing.

Speaker 3:

Anaya is like dancing

Speaker 2:

with the holidays

Speaker 3:

because Dancing

Speaker 2:

with the Stars is over it. I don't know what I'm gonna do on Tuesdays anymore.

Speaker 3:

Nothing. Watch something else. Speaking of which,

Speaker 2:

when you're finished with your cards stuff tonight, we do have to watch the Diddy.

Speaker 3:

There's no chance I'm gonna be done by, at a reasonable hour today. Come on.

Speaker 2:

You got it. We gotta watch a D thing. The ultimate

Speaker 3:

hater. 50 cent. Yes. That's a great, I would love to watch it. Not gonna happen tonight.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I

Speaker 3:

would love to. No shot. I'm watching it. Go ahead.

Speaker 2:

It's fine. No, I wanna watch it with you. What, okay, so I have a question for you. What have, what have you learned about me during this process? The process of becoming based on our last episode,

Speaker 3:

I've watched you grow like step outta your shell and get more confident in everything dancing. Um, you are always really strong in your faith, and I love, I love that about juice. My, one of my favorite things about you. But watching you continue to be strong and, and be, uh, in your faith and be vocal in about how strong you are in your faith, that's been really awesome to watch and see. Um, watching everything happen with MC is just brings so much joy mm-hmm. To me, because of how much faith I've had in, in, in you with, stepping out and doing your thing with, um, you know, main character, cardio and, um, watching the, the, the lives that you're impacting and touching

Speaker:

mm-hmm. On

Speaker 3:

that front is, um, is awesome. So, um, that's really what I've learned about you and some of the things that I love. What about me?

Speaker 2:

Well, thanks, honey. Um, I mean, I've always known this about you. Mm-hmm. But you are an incredibly hard worker.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And thank you. Like when you commit to something and when you say like that, this is what you're gonna do. You, you give it 150% and you're incredibly easy to work with.

Speaker:

Oh, I try

Speaker 2:

like, you really like. I've worked with a lot of people. You're my favorite. I love working with you. Um, you're fun and you, but you also, the way that your brain works and how, like from a logical perspective, you just bring.

Speaker 3:

Reason.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, reason and things make sense and you're just able to put things together in a way that brings clarity. And that's helpful for me because I operate more on the emotional side and how I feel about stuff. And so I think that dynamic between the two of us is good. I'm also, um, when it comes to like little details of things that might, that's my strong suit area. So like, kind of like organizing is not my strong suit, neither one of us. But I can, I think that I can step into that easier. And like create systems, like when it comes to this new app that I'm using to help us like keep track of everything and plan our projects and whatnot, I can do that. But it's been nice being able to like bounce that off of you and pick your brain. And so that's been something that I've learned about you is that you make things like that really easy because when I come to you with those ideas, you're just so encouraging. But then you're also like. Let's, let's look at it from this angle, or let's look at it from that. Like the way that your brain operates and then how you communicate that is just refreshing. And I just love, like I said, you're my favorite person. Aw. In general. But you're also like my favorite person to work with. Like if I have to choose my coworker, I'm glad it's both of you, you know? And another thing that I learned about you throughout this process. Is, oh gosh. I just feel like it's brought out stuff that I've already known. And the other thing that I've already known in you is just how fearless you are when it comes again to doing stuff that you believe in. And that you are all in on. You're just like, just go. Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker:

Well, thank you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3:

We're 12 episodes, 10 full episodes, too many episodes. Then. What worked and what didn't in your opinion, um, topics that really resonated with you. For me, I mean I obviously we talked about the network marketing stuff. That was obviously one that resonated with both of us.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Talking about MCC Elite, um, talk about our families. Was,

Speaker 2:

I mean, I think, I think everything, I don't think that there was anything that quote unquote, there's not a bad episode. Didn't work. Yeah. I think that it all did. And when I look at, here's the biggest thing is that I look at all the analytics

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Of how things are doing from like a downloads standpoint. And I get all those emails and whatnot. And the episodes that did the best were actually. Your episode, um, your

Speaker 3:

adoption story did, did really well. You did it,

Speaker 2:

it was like the second one or second, third. No, it was like third, third or fourth, something like that. Yours, um, Ian's world.

Speaker:

Mm.

Speaker 2:

The gotta catch'em all. That episode is our highest listen, highest downloaded episode. And I'm not surprised. I see you are.

Speaker 4:

I don't look at analytics.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, your, your episode was our highest downloaded episode. Um, but the episodes that did the best overall. It wasn't our mini episodes, it was us together. Mm-hmm. So that's what's working is us together. People like us, we're nice, people like us together. We're fun. I get it. I love it. She's, that's awesome.

Speaker 3:

The nice thing about all of our episodes is. They all were pretty natural. Yeah. So one of the things that refer for me at least, that I would like to, uh, leave with season one is this is season one's really just supposed to be about us. It's, you guys get to know us. Being, uh, trapped in our mind, as you would say, for, uh, a little bit. Get, getting to our personalities a little bit, how we see the world.'cause you know, it is somewhat different than what most people, how most people view it. Um, and that you're not alone.

Speaker:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:

Um, I want anyone, it's almost cliche and corny to say, but I'll say it. I want everyone to be the best, everything that they can be.

Speaker 4:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:

Whether it be best parent, the best business owner, the best friend, best mother, daughter, um, and if I can lend any kind of words,

Speaker 2:

father, son. Yeah, that's okay. I was like, why are you only talking to women here?

Speaker 3:

Fair. Um, I, uh, if I could lend any words of encouragement to our audience, is that is, you know.

Speaker 2:

That's what you wanna leave behind. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

I wanna leave behind the fact that, um, you are loved and. You know, go out there and be 1% better each day.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

That was weird to know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Pivot.

Speaker 3:

Let's talk what need

Speaker 2:

goes all sentimental.

Speaker 3:

Let's talk about season two and where we see this podcast going

Speaker 2:

cause it's fun.

Speaker 3:

Season one, we talked about us. You got a chance to get to know Jasmine and I. The things that we love to do, how we raise our parents, friends, we talked about our faith,

Speaker 2:

our marriage, family. Yeah. All of that. And there was a conversation that we had.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Where we just had a heart to heart about not being boxed in.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know, we're not a quote unquote Christian podcast. We're not a family. And marriage podcasts. We're not a parenting podcast. We talk about those things. We're a

Speaker 3:

millennial nostalgia, parents, God focused, everything.

Speaker 2:

We, we are multi, we're solid. We are multifaceted.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And, but one of the things that we really enjoy talking about that we don't actually talk about, talk about a lot,

Speaker 3:

little bit. Pop culture, baby

Speaker 2:

movies and pop culture.

Speaker 3:

Something about Ja and I that if you guys don't, don't know. This is, we both are very fond fa haha of movies. That is one of the things that brought us together. We,

Speaker 2:

yeah, our first, our first date was a

Speaker 3:

movie, our second day movie.

Speaker 2:

Our forever dates or movies like we just watched. When we wanna go on a date, we're going to the movie. Yes,

Speaker 3:

we. Used to frequent the movies a lot. Yeah. Before we had children, it would've

Speaker 2:

made sense for us to get like a membership at a movie theater. Yeah. Or own a movie theater while the two, I don't know that I would own one, but

Speaker 3:

Fair.

Speaker 2:

Let's work.

Speaker 3:

So we, you know, decided that, um. Next season, we wanna talk

Speaker 2:

about it.

Speaker 3:

There's a

Speaker 2:

bunch of stuff that we've been seeing. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Recently we, we, we spent nine years, uh, seven years in the, in, you know, the business and kind of missed out, missed out on a lot of the pop culture stuff. So now we're experiencing, uh, some of the things that we missed. I mean, heck, we, mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

We.

Speaker 3:

Missed a whole game of roads. Crazy. We were just talking

Speaker 2:

with some friends. Yeah. And it's like we had such a long conversation about different movies. Yeah. And like, oh, we walked, we saw this one and we saw this and pop culture, this, that, and the other. And the nice thing is though, is that we're not leaving the faiths behind. Yeah. We're not leaving our marriage tips and things, you know, that are going on behind. We're not leaving parenting stuff behind in real life and how we're figuring out this whole adult life. None of that is getting left behind, right? It's just expanding. And now we're bringing in another pillar,

Speaker 3:

another layer

Speaker 2:

of who we are and also opening it up to anybody who watches, like having these conversations with people. What TV shows, what movies do you like? What are you watching? What should we watch?

Speaker 3:

Hey, listen, I will say this'cause we, we realize I'm a sucker for a bad, good movie. Like a movie that people critically say is bad but is enjoyable. IE

Speaker 2:

except for Hallmark Christmas movies. Yeah, the Hallmark movies, good shows are bad, good movies. They're just bad,

Speaker 3:

bad. I can't do it. I, I genuinely can't. They're so bad. They, they're so predictable. They are. And they're morally. Did you

Speaker 2:

see my story today? No, most of'em morals wrong. The Christmas champagne problems, I think it's called, it's a Christmas movie on Netflix. It's 1000% a predictable Christmas movie. Mm-hmm. Um, and it's amazing.

Speaker 3:

Now that we're switching, well, I guess not switching, but we're evolving into this next step of the nostalgia millennial ness. What do we need from, I

Speaker 2:

wouldn't even really constitute it as nostalgia. Millennial. Yes. Mm-hmm. Because you're making it sound like we're about to go revisit

Speaker 3:

pop culture. We might.

Speaker 2:

Well, there is going to be that, but again, we're not boxed in.

Speaker 3:

True. But it's part of the stick of us laughing at movies. Okay. Or not laughing at movies. We don't do horror movies, just so everybody understands. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So don't recommend it. Yeah. Because it's not happening.

Speaker 3:

So our next, um, the thing that I, I'm gonna ask for the audience, and you're gonna ask for the audience is recommendations. What should we watch?

Speaker 2:

You're being so goofy.

Speaker 3:

I love it. What should

Speaker 2:

Recommendations, recommendations,

Speaker 3:

niches. What do we, what do we watch? What do you, I want to hear what you guys love. That most people don't like me. I love the movie John Carter. People freaking hate it

Speaker 2:

and some people have never heard of it,

Speaker 3:

and some people have never seen it. If you've never seen the movie John Carter watch it. It's on Disney Plus. We're gonna, this is, listen, this is a little sneak peek of what it'll look like in season two when we go back and forth on movies, on what we liked, what we didn't like. Uh, we do true reviews on stuff. Um, stranger Things is out right now, so

Speaker 2:

if you're a fan of Stranger Things, we will talk about Dancing With the Stars. I'll talk,

Speaker 3:

oh, I might be a you sister episode. No, no.

Speaker 2:

Don't wanna

Speaker 3:

talk about Dancing with the Stars. I'm moving here. Like Yeah.

Speaker 2:

We literally talk, we'll have conversations. Mm. You just came up to me and you were like, you wanna hear what happened with Ohio State? Okay. Fair. Guess what? You could do that. We can, I gotta lock you in like that. And same thing. I could be like, okay, so this is what happened on Dancing with the Stars. It's not gonna be a whole 60 minute episode about Dancing with the Stars. Yes, you fail me. Okay, fair. We

Speaker 3:

also would like to interview some of our friends.

Speaker 2:

Maybe we'll see maybe,

Speaker 3:

or take clips of videos submitted from you guys of the audience of, of, I'd love to do that. I

Speaker 2:

have no idea. We don't know what's gonna happen.

Speaker 3:

We're just gonna have fun.

Speaker 2:

We don't know, but we just know that we're evolving and having fun and more things are gonna happen. And also it depends on what the audience wants to see. Mm-hmm. So if people submit things and they're like, this is what I really enjoyed about season one, or These are questions that I have for you, this is what I wanna hear doing this X, Y, and Z. We're open to it.

Speaker 3:

We want to have you guys shape season two.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Like season one. You way more

Speaker 2:

community

Speaker 3:

is one. You listen to us ramble and talk about just who we are. Now this is your guys' chance. You wanna highlight the

Speaker 2:

community? For sure. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

This is your guys' chance to highlight your guys' personalities for us so that we can get, get an understanding of what you guys like. And, and I love media. I love sharing media with people. Like I said, I love going to movies. We love going to the movies and sharing a good TV show, and I always take a good recommendation on what to watch next. So, um, I can't wait to do our first like. We talked about this a few nights ago of like our top 10 favorite TV shows, and that's gonna spark so much controversy. Or it also might just, oh, I've never seen that show. Let me go watch it. You know what I mean? Yeah. So that is, and the

Speaker 2:

really cool thing about us doing all of this is regardless of where this podcast goes, right, it's really brought out creative energy for both of us. Yeah. It's just very interesting that when you do something and it, again, this like may not be the thing, but it's the thing that's sparking other things and helping us come up with different projects. So. You said you sister, but it's not you, sister.

Speaker 3:

I was saying you sister. For the Dancing With the Stars,

Speaker 2:

you said that might be a you sister thing. I know. You know what it's called.

Speaker 3:

Hey, sister,

Speaker 2:

there's a teaser.

Speaker 3:

Oh goodness. Here comes. Hey sister. I love it.

Speaker 2:

Teaser. Why say oh goodness. Like that? I don't know what

Speaker 3:

Hey, sister, it's

Speaker 2:

Hey sister. It's

Speaker 3:

for the sisters.

Speaker 2:

All right. Yep. For the girlies. For the girlies. Okay. Hey,

Speaker 3:

brother. For the boys,

Speaker 2:

H-Y-B-H-Y creating spaces. That's what we're doing. We're creating spaces to evolve without any pressure, which we love. We hustle. Culture gone. Yep. We're pressure free over here, baby

Speaker 3:

locking it. Listen, I'm very, very fortunate and um. I have a, a sense of gratitude for this podcast for you and for our listeners.

Speaker:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:

And, um, I'm really looking forward to season two. Alright. We appreciate all the listens and the messages that we got and the, the, the pictures that we got of people in their cars listening to too. Yeah. That was

Speaker 2:

wild. Yeah, that was really cool. Our look is there. Yeah. You're listening to us. And like on their tv, your brother is sending the one, it was like us on his tv and I'm like, I'm brother at

Speaker 3:

three o'clock in the morning. Like, I'm locked in right now.

Speaker 2:

Like, what? Okay. This is, that was really cool. So I don't know that I expected to, I mean, I, we love talking. Don't like any, we love having conversations, but just loving this process as much. Yeah. You know, being like, we're not getting rid of this. This isn't going anywhere. Right. We're still gonna continue to do this because. Even with a small audience, it's like, there's, there's something special here, and we wanna keep doing that. Yes. So I think that was really cool. So, yeah, and I, I reiterate everything that Ian's saying to the listeners. So incredibly grateful to people who took time out to listen. Mm-hmm. To us. And

Speaker 3:

continue to listen.

Speaker 2:

Continue to listen, come back, you know, each week and

Speaker 3:

shout out our one, our one listener in South America.

Speaker 2:

There's some, there's some places. There's one like Tokyo, like they're, I'm like, what? Lock

Speaker 3:

in?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. It was pretty cool to see where all the listens have come from so far. Um. But yeah, I'm just grateful that people wanted to come along and watch this start from scratch. Mm-hmm. Like y'all are what I call my, my original MCC CERs. Yeah. I call them my OGs. Like we have our OGs who let us adult. Audience. Mm-hmm. Or listeners who y'all started from day one watching us start a podcast not knowing

Speaker 3:

what the heck was gonna happen, what you

Speaker 2:

were gonna hear, what we were doing, what we were gonna talk about. And here we are, just supporting the homies. Yeah. Here we are. And 12 episodes in and excited to see what comes up next.

Speaker 3:

Speaking of what's next, next, we will be taking a bit of a break. Um, personally, we need a break. Secondly. You need to grow up. We gotta get some top teeth in. Yeah. We gotta get some sleep. We gotta get a, some sleep training. A better

Speaker 2:

schedule going on when we film. Yeah. Um, preparing kind of a little bit more preparation. Mm-hmm. Um, before we film, get to the holidays. And that's why this topic, like us evolving into Yeah. Pop culture and movies and that sort of thing, it's gonna fit really well. Into our lifestyle. Yeah. And yeah, it'll just be, it'll be a better experience.

Speaker 3:

I feel like the everyone, I feel like the first, I feel like the first episode of season two is gonna be Stranger Things. It has to be. It has

Speaker 2:

to be. Goodness. I think so. Because of fi, the FI finale is New Year's. Day. Day. Or New Year's Eve? New Year's Day.

Speaker 3:

As far as when we'll be back, I don't have a specific date.

Speaker 2:

It'll be around in January. Yeah, it'll be in the new year. It'll be 2026.

Speaker 3:

January, February-ish. Hopefully the goal. Listen, listen. If we can get this, the top two teeth in and actually get some sleeping in her crib. Oh yeah. Then maybe sooner, but I gotta get this. We gotta get this baby some sleep. Some sleep. Get this baby two sleep like the rest of the other kids. Yeah. We've enjoyed her in our bed, but I don't want her in our bed anymore. Her.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm fine with that.

Speaker 3:

You don't care. I do. She pushed me off the bed pretty much last night. Last night. I'm just getting, she sprawled out and I'm on a small inch of our king size mattress. It's so

Speaker 2:

temporary. We went through this with Zuri too. Not that long. Yeah, we do. I don't, I don don't she remember that? Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Jasmine, there it is.

Speaker 3:

Who is our fake sponsor of the week?

Speaker 2:

Fake sponsor of the week. Do you have one?

Speaker 3:

I do.

Speaker 2:

Okay, go for it.

Speaker 3:

DJI. We're recording on you right now. Pocket three. We love you. DJI. You're not a sponsor. Sponsor, not sponsored. Uh, but you have saved us many a times through this process of when our mics broke and we needed to record quickly. And we just happen to have the DJ JI around'cause we use it for Elite. And we're like, well, why don't we just use this and it works.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I actually do have one. A fake sponsor. You

Speaker 3:

got another one?

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Doubled

Speaker 3:

up

Speaker 2:

Notion. The Notion App.

Speaker 3:

Notion App.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. It's our new, it's our new app.

Speaker 3:

Our new planner.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, our new planner. For us to stay organized. Notion.

Speaker 3:

Not sponsored. Not

Speaker 2:

sponsored. Not sponsored by Notion, but it's already been a huge lifesaver for getting all the clutter outta my brain and on and onto something. So yes. Hey, shout out to Notion for not sponsoring this
