Welcome everyone. I'm Nick George, co-host and producer here in the studio with Marissa Parchman, founder of Timeless Skin and Wellness. Marissa, how's it going?

Speaker 3:

It's great, Nick. Thank you for the introduction.

Speaker 2:

Over the years you've grown a remarkable following. However, some listeners may not be familiar with your full journey, so let's take it from the top. Could you share a little background about your company and what you do?

Speaker 3:

Yeah. So at Timeless Skin and Wellness we are a full 360 internal and external anti-aging clinic. We focus on increasing vitality in everyone's life and shaving off the years that all of us get to a point that we have aged. And I can't met I excuse me, I haven't met one person who doesn't want help in one way or another on how to help, internally or externally, reverse the aging process help internally or externally, reverse the aging process. So that is a little bit of background on just what we do and who we are.

Speaker 3:

When it comes to how we started, that is a much longer conversation. But long story short, I am a native to Colorado, I'm from Golden and I spent a lot of my time in my 20s bartending in Denver, and it didn't take long for me to know that I wanted to get out of bartending and do something that I could make the same type of money I was making while I was bartending, without having to work those long and exhausting late hours. So I came across a few services in the beauty industry that are actually not regulated in the state of Colorado. Do a small startup, spray tanning and teeth whitening are two things that you can do without getting a license, or with really little to no financial investment and not a lot of time commitment to do those services. So I started there and over the years I have just slowly grown into a shop that offers laser hair removal, advanced anti-aging protocols and, just again, a full scope of internal and external anti-aging services.

Speaker 2:

Wow. We know that marketing is the key to any business's success. So how do you market your business?

Speaker 3:

That is a very interesting question. We have been around for a long time and at the beginning and early stages of me owning a medical spa, I didn't have to do a lot of marketing. We really grew our name and our reputation through Google reviews and word of mouth and, honestly, the industry has changed a lot. We have a lot more competition than we used to, so now we are doing more social media and taking it back a little old school with a podcast and YouTube channel, something that I've honestly wanted to do for a very long time and just haven't really found the right people or the right person to help me with it and it just never really felt like the right fit until now.

Speaker 2:

Oh, thanks. When you're not busy running your business, Marissa, what do you do for fun?

Speaker 3:

You know I am a workaholic. I spend most of my time when I'm in Colorado working. I have a really great family. I have a stepdaughter and a husband that I try to spend as much time as possible with. We do a lot of family time. I have in-laws that live in Aurora and I have parents that live in Golden, lots of nieces and nephews, so lots of family time and travel. But I really do spend most of my time working and focusing on my business when I'm here in town.

Speaker 2:

Marissa, you're a very busy person. I know that from experience. In your own words why are you doing this?

Speaker 3:

You know I feel like that answer changes from time to time but deep down, why I do this is to be able to help others. I actually have a background in psychology so I really enjoy being around people. I know a lot of people will say you can't get a facial at your therapist, but you can get a therapist when you get your facial. So that really is true to my heart and I love my clients so dearly and I really pride myself in being honest and transparent and what that really does is it helps people in so many ways.
