Hey, this is Serious. I'm Chad Davis. And if you like clean comedy with a side of poop jokes, you're in the right place, my friends. We're the creators of National Nonsense, the family sketch comedy show. You know you never need it on the YouTubes right now. Um, you know, after this, go check it out. There's a lot of funny content out there you can you and your teenager would love. Uh and uh, you know what? We have a good time, we have a good cast, uh, we like creating stuff. Uh, and I'm joined today by some of the creators here. Like I said, Jared Chamless, he's an actor, uh, comedian, writer. Uh, he loves um what else you like? You like sports? I like boxing. Likes boxing, likes uh he's got a lot of pair of socks. I do have a lot of socks, yeah, a lot of kids.
SPEAKER_03I don't know if that's worthy to mention at the top of the show, but yeah. I have more socks than kids. There you go.
SPEAKER_06That's saying something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And here beside me is my lovely, beautiful wife, Amber Davis. She is an actor, comedian, and writer, and producer, and director, and speaker of awesomeness herself. Uh, she does a lot of stuff. So how are you doing, Amber?
SPEAKER_06I'm doing great. How are you?
SPEAKER_02I'm doing fair. I'm gonna say fair, doing so well, doing so good. I'm doing well. No, August here. I know. Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_03But uh yeah, so uh, how was your day? Oh, yeah, man, no complaints. I had a wonderful day. Yeah, yeah, I didn't do much. Yeah, Zeke hit a deer, really.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, a deer, dear friend. Oh, the deer hit his car. Oh deer. Well, sorry, yeah, the deer hit his car. Yeah, he almost avoided it, but and it was in the middle uh in the middle of the morning. Yeah, it's odd. It was like the deer should have been at work.
SPEAKER_06Exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and there wasn't even a deer crossing.
SPEAKER_06No, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02So it was like deer and that lets them know where to cross where you walk in.
SPEAKER_06It was it was totally the deer's fault.
SPEAKER_03I've always liked those to let them know, like, hey, here's a good spot to cross.
SPEAKER_02So they should cross. So we're in the uh the the the realm of waiting of uh hearing back from insurance stuffs and uh getting it fixed and all that fun stuff that comes with that. Yay, fun times they act like they don't have the money, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, we're not we're not gonna say that because we want the money, so please help us.
SPEAKER_02We didn't mention who.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, hey, it finally rained. Yeah, that's a big thing.
SPEAKER_02It rained.
SPEAKER_06Like we were in a drought for a while for the last well in Tennessee. I'm from Kansas and Texas, and it doesn't I mean it we'll go like a whole month without rain. But here in Tennessee, if you go like two weeks without rain, it's like everybody's in a drought.
SPEAKER_02It's yeah, grass starts turning brown.
SPEAKER_06It does, it really does.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. You love brown grass. Yeah. Oh, not to mow as much. I pour gasoline on mine to turn it brown. All right.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's interesting. That's kind of like the opposite of Ross Perot.
SPEAKER_02He like painted it green.
SPEAKER_06You're doing Ross Perot throwback? Yeah, that's pretty impressive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you'll get it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, some people get it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Just look it up.
SPEAKER_06When I lived in Texas, um, I lived like north, like North Texas, which is Denton, Texas, and just south of us was Alliance Airport, which is Ross Perot, owned that. Owned that all that property. Yeah, yeah. And then I worked for Special Olympics, and Chuck Norris and Ross Perot was the were the biggest contributors.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You know who I think of when I think of Ross Perot? Dana Carvey.
SPEAKER_06Oh.
SPEAKER_02He does a better Ross Perot than Ross Perot. Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, very, very cheap.
SPEAKER_03Pete on my back and tell me it's raining. You're not gonna do it. You're not gonna do it. You're not gonna do it.
SPEAKER_06Well, that's not Ross Perot.
SPEAKER_02No, it wasn't.
SPEAKER_03That's George, but still Dana Carvey. I'm not a Dana Carvey impression.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. The guy, uh, but Ross Perot does have those little little one-liners, like Texas one-liners. Um, one of my other favorite one-liner politician is that Tim Burchart guy. He has one-liners at the wazoo, and it's so funny.
SPEAKER_06Uh oh no, who's the other guy? The Kennedy guy from Louisiana. The Louisiana senator. Some Kennedy.
SPEAKER_03I know you're talking about. Yeah, he's caught people like shouldn't you be in your mother's basement? He'll like talk to kids, say stuff like that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he's really funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's got a lot of one liners. Yeah, I know you're talking about and it was uh the thing that was on the the Covidge, the COVID stuff, and uh it was pinpointed to Wuhan and the that is Lindsay Graham. Oh, okay, okay, okay. That's what I'm thinking of. I thought you were talking about it.
SPEAKER_06Lindsay Graham doesn't usually have one-liners. I don't think. I've never heard him like have a lot of his were more than one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, several liners. That was my favorite one that he did. Because it had to do with the Covid stuff and uh all the um people aligning it to like in the market where people were eating bats, right? And he was like, Stop eating bats.
SPEAKER_06And we actually, you know, we'll do this for funny movies. It's like rewind it, rewind it, rewind it.
SPEAKER_02We watched the news.
SPEAKER_06Watch the news, and he's like, Stop eating bats. And I was like, what did he just say?
SPEAKER_03It's a good warning.
SPEAKER_06It is, it is a good warning. But yeah, stop eating bats.
SPEAKER_02Man, we're off the rails in Tennessee.
SPEAKER_06We are off the rails.
SPEAKER_07We need to get into some news.
SPEAKER_02Well, oh, here's some news. Okay. I wanted to share this earlier when we were talking, and what a perfect time to uh bring this up uh with you all and our friends. Um so when you go out onto the Instagram and watching reels, isn't it funny that AI at a point where you're like you're watching something and you're like, hey, that's AI, but I still you know kind of dig it, or like that's kind of funny, but whatever, it's AI. Now it's getting so good you can't, you it's getting good, it's getting good. Like every week, every week it's growing and growing and getting better and better where you almost can't tell is gotta go search Google, like, is this actually true? Is this AI or not? Right.
SPEAKER_06That's your algorithm, because I don't have that algorithm.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know, I was watching a reel and up come a reel, and I wish I could, I wish I'd have saved it and pulled it up now. But it's um it's a guy shooting from his car, like filming from his car on his phone, and he's shooting out to a parking lot, and it has President Trump, and it has a lot of uh different military leaders, and right beside President Trump are two aliens, and one's really tall and kind of like pale color, almost like a dark color, but they're all like the typical alien that you that you would imagine, the dark eyes, whatever. Okay, and I'm I'm immediately went to the account to see you know who who posted this. Usually it'll tell you if it's AI or not. It was an AI account, and I was like looking through their stuff, and I'm just wondering, what the heck?
SPEAKER_06Is it an alien that posted it?
SPEAKER_02Must have been. Anyway.
SPEAKER_06Um well now since they opened the files, maybe they are having conference.
SPEAKER_03Maybe the aliens are like, hey, they they know now.
SPEAKER_06Right. They're having conference, yeah, they're having meetings.
SPEAKER_03We gotta bring James Brown back. Yeah. Definitely gotta bring him back. Yeah, like, well, we've had him. He's not dead. We've just had him. We'll bring him back.
SPEAKER_06That and the guy from Karate Kid. Yeah. Mr.
SPEAKER_02Miyagi and the Earth People.
SPEAKER_06Because if you watch the end of like one of the Karate Kids, we watched three had Karate Kid 3. It had like like not deleted scenes, but like bonus features. And it was Mr. Miyagi, but the actor Pat Moretta, or whatever his name is. Yeah, and they were interviewing him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And it was a really cool interview. We're just like, oh, you know, he's very interesting. Yeah. And then it went sideways because then he said, Yes, and I'm not gonna do his accent, but he's like, Oh, please, you got to do the accent.
SPEAKER_02So I don't want to hear your story anymore.
SPEAKER_06He's catching flies, but no, he was saying he just was talking and just normal about like his life, and uh, and he's just squint because you know, I really um care about the earth people. And he paused and then like he kept talking about the earth people.
SPEAKER_03Who are they?
SPEAKER_06I don't well because he's maybe not from Earth.
SPEAKER_02My point at all this is now that the alien things came out, maybe it was My point of this I don't I mean, I don't know if necessarily believe in this video or not. I'm just saying it looked real and it didn't, you know, it's real enough for me to go check out the account and try to hunt this down because AI is getting better and better and better with their videos or their things that they're doing with audio, whatever. Anyway, it's harder and harder to tell what's real and what's fake, and it's interesting because we're getting to a time where they're trying to disclose stuff, and how do you know if that's gonna be real or fake? And they're just trying to kind of do some propaganda to steer you in a direction. Sure they are.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we should use that time chat to just let everybody know that they won't have that here on this podcast. This is all real. There is nothing artificial about this. No, every bit of it or intelligent. No, that's right. There's no yeah, there is no artificial or intelligence at this table.
SPEAKER_02No AI here. Nope.
SPEAKER_06That's good. That's great.
SPEAKER_03You don't have any news, do you, Amber?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I've got some news. So, but before we jump into the news, if you have any news clips that you want us to discuss here on the podcast, please let us know. Uh that's really encouraging, but what's also encouraging, just put it in, be be the first to jump, jump off the diving board. Uh leave a comment. So we appreciate it. Yeah, shout out Miss Bree too. I saw she commented really recently. Bree, let's go.
SPEAKER_06And I'll tell you this like I think a lot of people don't comment on YouTube stuff because they don't have a YouTube like handle. Because you have to have a YouTube handle in order to comment.
SPEAKER_02They're not signed in.
SPEAKER_06So they're not signing in, and so they're just watching. So if that's you, then jump on over to our just drop us an email. This is serious at deadchavisproductions.com.
SPEAKER_03That's nice. And you know what? Don't even do that if Amber. If it is you, stop doing it. Yeah, sign in and and watch us like the normal people do something. Yeah, geez.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so as we're filming this, it hasn't happened yet, but as this drops today, yesterday was Memorial Day, and so we had Memorial Weekend. So just wanted to pay tribute to all of those that have gone before us that I've died and paid the ultimate sacrifice of our freedom.
SPEAKER_02So we should see you. Yep. Uh super patriotic over here. Uh love our soldiers, uh, our armed forces uh freedom isn't free.
SPEAKER_06That's right.
SPEAKER_02And uh so thankful. We have a lot of people that's been in our family that's been in the military.
SPEAKER_06So who you want to shout out anybody?
SPEAKER_02Uh you want one person specific in my heart right now. Uh a guy named Stephen Goldner. Yeah, he is uh he's a veteran. He's a veteran, but but he he's actually serving too.
SPEAKER_06So that's what I mean, actively serving because memorial day is more about the past.
SPEAKER_02Right, right. But memorying all the moments in the past, obviously, but uh active duty, uh, but this guy is the real deal. Like he's uh I'll probably get it wrong. I know he went to Ranger School and um Green Beret, and he's like full-blown like stud. Um he knows how to kill people with his like pinky uh stuff like that. So uh he's out there doing stuff um for our country. So thank you.
SPEAKER_06Yes, and we have a niece that um recently married a soldier. Oh yeah, and the so shout out to the tailors, oh yeah, and they are in Germany. They just um went to Germany like um a little while ago. That's cool. So they're over there right now. But as far as like memorial is concerned, those that have passed, um, you know, my my dad's dad, he fought in World War II and he was actually under patent. And uh he didn't die in service, but he did serve. Yeah, and then my adopted grandpa, we call him Papa Bear, he was in the Navy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And so in the Navy Yeah, so so was my you know m my brother and my grandfather in the Navy. My grandfather uh was uh at the the oh man, I think it was called the Seab Seabees, the Seabees, and basically they they were a part of the engineering crew that built like highways or engineered stuff for people for mobility, and they would come in with the Navy and lay out the foundation for the mobility and stuff and or fix things.
SPEAKER_06From your grandfather, yeah, oh yeah, and he maybe use that on a ship, maybe, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So anyway, so he was in the uh Korean War, um, and uh part of his uh duty too was to uh reclaim um bodies too.
SPEAKER_06So yeah, that's horrible.
SPEAKER_03My dad's father was uh was at the Battle of Normandy. Oh wow, whoa got a purple heart there. Wow, yeah. We I never met him though. Really?
SPEAKER_06This was your dad's dad?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he passed away when my dad was like a purple heart at Normandy?
SPEAKER_06That's amazing.
SPEAKER_03Wow, wow. He was out there on that beach, man, and not like you know, that's saving private riot.
SPEAKER_06That's scary stuff. That's saving private Ryan opening scene. That is the switch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he was there for that.
SPEAKER_06Man, that's the real deal. That's crazy scary.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I guess it's wild. Yeah, and then yeah, think about like all the the freedoms that they well they put their life on the line, like stuff like that, or the their brothers and sisters who have died, and now to look at, you know, if they come back and look at our country, you know, they might be like, Man, yeah, you're doing podcasts with pinball machines and poop jokes. Yeah, you got men that say they're women, they're like they wouldn't be able to do that. That's what I'm talking about. Like people like in the like the country going real sideways. That's what I'm saying. Like they would just be like, What is not what I died for? Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_06Well, this is a shout-out way back, like down the road from us is a little uh cemetery called Leeville. Yeah, and there's a in that cemetery, we've shot some videos around that area, um, but in that cemetery, there's a gorgeous magnolia tree. It's huge, right in the middle of the cemetery. Yeah, and if you go and walk in the cemetery, one one day the groundskeeper gave us a little tour and was showing it. It's a very small cemetery. But you walk up and right where that magnolia tree is coming out of, it's the um oldest um, besides Native Americans, it's the oldest um grave site in the state of Tennessee, and it's a revolutionary war hero.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's crazy. I think Native Americans did burials like that.
SPEAKER_06No, but there have there's burial sites in Tennessee.
SPEAKER_03For Native Americans?
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Like the mound builders.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think they buried theirs. I thought they uh I don't know what sound disrespectful. I thought they let them on the bottom of the bigger, right?
SPEAKER_06But they buried their ashes in it that like you can't.
SPEAKER_03Cremated them, I guess. Just all the way of cremates as well. I don't know.
SPEAKER_06But this is like a giant, beautiful magnolia tree coming out of the grave of a revolutionary war hero. That was wild. It is pretty awesome.
SPEAKER_02I saw it, I was like, oh, that's old.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's pretty crazy. All right, so besides uh Memorial Weekend, so a couple things going on. Um we have uh, you know, I'd like to know what you did on Memorial Weekend, like in your little small town or in your big town. What what did you do? Drop a comment or text us or let us know. Did you barbecue? Did you go celebrate somebody, you know, in their service? What did you do? Did you play dominoes?
SPEAKER_02Jet ski, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Dominoes, water balloon fights.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so memorial memorial weekend is the kickoff for summer, right? Is that you typically the supposed to be? And then Labor Day is the end of it again? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And we live right outside of Mount Juliet, which is outside of uh Nashville. Yep, and they're having a big celebration there. So in your small town, maybe you're this is like a drones. They're gonna have drones lifting off and do some kind of celebration in Mount Juliet. Um, well, they already did it as of this airing.
SPEAKER_02We saw something similar to Holly Holiday World.
SPEAKER_06That was awesome.
SPEAKER_03Like instead of having like fighter jets or something fly across, they go, We've got these drones we're gonna come up and they're gonna fight each other.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. But we saw some in Holiday World where the drones went up and basically they all have all controlled and choreographed with had these lights, and they it's like watching a digital picture in the sky. Yeah, yeah. And it's wild.
SPEAKER_06It is wild.
SPEAKER_02Like it's drones moving at Mach 4.
SPEAKER_06But there's hundreds of them. Yeah, and they're just moving and they're doing all the things. Holiday World is a uh theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana, which is awesome. Um, but I recently saw like a reel where there was they did like 10,000 drones in Texas on a in a field, and then they for Easter they brought it up and it was like Jesus on the cross. It was this whole like story that was in the sky. It was it was wild looking. But uh yeah, so let us know what you did for Memorial Weekend. Um here's something in the news. Uh Nashville Nashville Super Bowl coming. It's coming.
SPEAKER_02It's coming, really?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, 2030.
SPEAKER_02That's the reason they built the place down there. We don't want the Super Bowl to come here.
SPEAKER_04Well, here you go. Music City will become Football City in 2030, where Nashville will host the Super Bowl. NFL owners unanimously voted to host a big game for Nashville. Show off the Tennessee Titans' new stadium what should be done by next year. It'll be the first time Nashville has ever hosted a Super Bowl. Music City will be the first one.
SPEAKER_02There you go. No, I don't want it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Here's what it looks like here.
SPEAKER_02It's going to be this place is going to be amazing. Um mainly because of the way it's designed, it's designed like no other uh arena in the nation, where it's supposed to be you're, I think they said 38% closer to the field or to the action in all the seats. So there's no more nosebleed section per se that even in that top tier they have there that seems so far away, you're you're you're closer.
SPEAKER_03You're closer to the field somehow.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how they engineered it and and yeah, and the also the well, they're probably gonna talk about the state.
SPEAKER_01The stadium will redefine Nashville. A brand new Nissan Stadium is rising in Tennessee. Construction began in February 2024, directly next to the current venue. It will become the future home of the Tennessee Titans. The stadium is designed as a fully enclosed arena, built for year-round events. Capacity will be around 60,000 seats. The project cost is estimated at $2.1 billion. One of the most expensive stadium developments in U.S. history. The design comes from Monica Architecture, featuring a translucent roof. The official opening is planned for 2027. After the 2026 season, the old Nissan Stadium will be demolished.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that'd be good for I'm sure for music and stuff there, too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and the Titans deserve this, right?
SPEAKER_11Yeah, that's what I was wondering.
SPEAKER_02Of course they didn't. Year after year, uh music seasons. Yeah, this is crazy.
SPEAKER_03I don't want the Super Bowl here, man. So much stuff comes with if if the Super Bowl alone would be coming, but so many other things come along when you have the Super Bowl or like the Olympics or stuff like that. And this other stuff that comes with it, I don't I don't even want it in our anywhere here. It's coming.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's gonna be interesting, but yeah, the the the ceiling or the whatever is translucent.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. Is it oh that just means you can see it's translucent?
SPEAKER_06It's how white I am.
SPEAKER_02You see my veins.
SPEAKER_06They took pictures of you, and that's how they designed it.
SPEAKER_02You can tell my pulse just by watching my yeah, watching it run through my doors. Yeah. Every time we get there, we're like, Chinese here.
SPEAKER_03Uh no, he's not.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. So I mean, I guess, I mean, they say that there's not supposed to be a like a bad seat in there, like you said. Supposed to be great.
SPEAKER_03No, again, like I'm I'm glad for the new stadium, I guess. I mean, Nashville could use it, but yeah, you know, when the Dallas built theirs, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And they had the big Yeah, Manny Pacquiao fought in it. Yeah, and they had the big um big m-we call it big display. Um losing the word, but like uh the big like you're talking about the opening? Um no, not the opening. I'm sorry, with like where it had the L C. Oh, the LED lights. Well, it's just like big old it's a big old Megatron looking screen, whatever. Yes. But this is supposed to like m morph that. Sure. And so they're gonna have a lot of different things in there like that, where even if you're that closer to the the field, you're gonna be s around top of these big screens like you're right there in my own.
SPEAKER_06Well, that was the big thing at where the Braves played in Turner Field is because Ted Turner, you know, he just passed away, by the way. Oh Ted Turner just died R IP Ted Turner. Oh wow. Yeah. But he um had all the LED like that was the big thing in the Braves Stadium because Ted Turner He died and then he's got like hundreds of thousands of property like acres of property in Nebraska and now they're worried about what's gonna happen in Nebraska. They use all the property or something.
SPEAKER_03But I was like what is it?
SPEAKER_06I guess it's from Nebraska.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure.
SPEAKER_06I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03TBS owns it now.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. That's where they're gonna house all like the old films.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Like you're gonna bury them in Nebraska.
SPEAKER_02Put them in some salt.
SPEAKER_06Oh wow. Yeah. So that's kind of wild.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh, I did see another rendering where they're not just building the stadium, but around the stadium, it's like a whole experience. Oh, yeah. There's gonna be like shopping and restaurants and all this stuff on the outside of the stadium.
SPEAKER_03Yep. So it's gonna be like a whole more places you can spend some money at sure. That's awesome.
SPEAKER_06Which I'm wondering they haven't talked about parking. So they talk about building all the stuff. They would have to put a garage there.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure it's gonna be free parking.
SPEAKER_02Sure, because they got all the other stuff is generating revenue.
SPEAKER_06Nashville is crazy with parking. I mean, you cannot park anywhere in Nashville for under $20.
SPEAKER_02No, you can. You can try.
SPEAKER_06Well, you can try. I don't know where you can park. It's it's bananas down there. It is with uh trying to park. Yeah. But that's okay. But it's worth it to go down there every now and again.
SPEAKER_02Experience Nashville, everybody.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. All right, so here's another so news, no news. I mean, that's pretty big news for Nashville.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's a big revenue.
SPEAKER_03Do we know what year it's gonna be the Super Bowl?
SPEAKER_062030.
SPEAKER_03That's the year that the Super Bowl's coming, yeah. How often are has it ever landed where the the the team is actually playing in the like let's say Tennessee the Titans make it to the Super Bowl? Yeah, it's rare, but it does have to be a half a time or two. That'd be I mean, I guess that'd be kind of cool to see if the Titans could make it in 2030. So we got a couple of years that they could try to get ready.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well they yeah, they definitely have to the rebuilding years has been over a decade. Yeah, what takes that to build a team? You need at least a good 10, 20 years, I think. Right to build anything worth having, right? Well, you know, if you had a good stadium, it might attract somebody to I mean, I want to play in that stadium. I want to be a part of that. That's a good point, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Right now, right now they're like, you want to go to Nashville? Are you kidding me? Have you seen that measly? Yeah, it's got a filled a dreams like strategy.
SPEAKER_02If you build it, they will come.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so I looked it up in 1980, the LA Rams played the Steelers at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Nice. Okay. And 85, the 49ers play the Dolphins in California. In Cal California.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So I guess that's the only two times it's happened. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So let's try it then, guys. Come on. Come on. We're due. We're due.
SPEAKER_06All right, so I thought this was pretty cool that I saw this uh retro restaurant trend happening.
SPEAKER_03They serve you old food. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Serve you old food.
SPEAKER_03Leftovers.
SPEAKER_06I think y'all are appreciated. Kim Chi and stuff to black.
SPEAKER_07Appreciate this. Watch this. That is the big trend right now. Restaurants going retro to try to bring customers into dining rooms. Bradley Blackburn got a taste of how they're putting nostalgia on the menu.
SPEAKER_03Got a taste. You get it?
SPEAKER_08In the hills of Telganic, Pennsylvania, a familiar red roof catches the eye. Inside the vinyl boots. Japanese style lamps.
SPEAKER_02Oh man, it's taking me back. Yeah. It's amazing the comments we have about they have the red cuffs. Oh, yeah, the red cups. And I remember you can go to the city. Tim Spark's got a specialty cuffs. Remember like the Muppet Cups or the Starbucks. I would totally do that.
SPEAKER_08So it's not a pizza. They need some pizza package on Galaxy. Customers show up.
SPEAKER_03It's not Pizza Hats.
SPEAKER_08It's pizza to share with their own kids. When you finally find something that tastes how you genuinely remember it tasting, like you can't let it go. I remember it being like darker though. Pizza Hut, they even brought back Pac-Man. Sparks.
SPEAKER_01This is much more than Greasy Knobs. Pac-Man or Miss Pac-Man's coming in here as a family.
SPEAKER_02It's too far. Maybe we'll catch on, though.
SPEAKER_06Well, he said that the hardest part is uh for him as far as like what to find were these uh Tiffany lamps. Uh they were super hard to find. And he's got a franchise where he's doing this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He's building it out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But the Tiffany lamps were hard to find. But if you've got enough money, he I'm sure he can like have a made. Have a maid. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I guess.
SPEAKER_06Pretty cool though.
SPEAKER_03That'd be expensive and awesome. I wish that was here. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06That's cool.
SPEAKER_03Jeez, you had me excited there for a minute, Amber. Because usually you do like local stuff. And I was like, where is it? I'm gonna go here. Yeah. No.
unknownYeah. Can't make me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, maybe he'll franchise it out here.
SPEAKER_03I'm not that hungry.
SPEAKER_06Maybe it'll be by the new stadium.
SPEAKER_03I don't like going downtown either, Amber. Right downtown. Why are you trying to put me in a places I don't like?
SPEAKER_02Isn't that funny? Like uh we have friends or family to come visit, and they're like, hey, let's go downtown, let's see what intown. And I'm like, you know what? I I don't like going downtown. I like my little bubble here in outside of Nashville. Um, but then when we go downtown Nashville, I don't I'm not down. It's fun, but I'm not down there a lot, so I don't know. Man, I know it I know how to get home, but like all the little side streets or whatever. Yeah, it's like, I don't know, man. Like I don't know.
SPEAKER_06We go down there more than that.
SPEAKER_03You want to go downtown? I have one question. That's why. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Hattie B's.
SPEAKER_03And I'll be like, can we just get it to go? Like, why do I have to go down there?
SPEAKER_02The only time I go to the only time I go down to downtown area is for yep. You got it. Birch building. Yeah. Pay my bell. Yeah. Birch building in the birch building. Shout out birch building. Shout out everybody in the birch building. Yeah, I shouldn't be laughing at that. Uh anyways, uh, but yeah, no, just to go for a show or something, you know, and um, but I am excited about that new stadium and for a show to happen because uh coming up here in the summer, my daughter's taking this, uh, well, taking me to go see the Foo Fighters, and it's gonna be a good experience, it'll be an awesome experience. I'm just saying that in a new stadium like that, imagine if you could see new kids on the block.
SPEAKER_03Oh man. At that new night nice Nissan. That'd be fun. It'd be cool. New kids on the block. Yeah. So that's the band that you picked was the new kids on the block. You don't you don't think they have the right stuff?
SPEAKER_06Oh, oh I I was not a big new kids on the block family.
SPEAKER_03I wasn't either, but somebody might want to see them, Amber.
SPEAKER_06I'm sure a lot of people want to see them.
SPEAKER_03New kids on the block, catching strays from Amber.
SPEAKER_06Somebody just came down there. Who was down there? Uh, what's the guy? Bruno Mars.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because we had some friends that went down there and saw him.
SPEAKER_03Saw Bruno. Yeah. You know who else is here recently? It was uh Marilyn Manson.
SPEAKER_06Was he? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03In Nissan? No, no, I don't think he was at. No, I think it was in a bridge zone or something? No, I think it was in a basement. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. Oh he was somewhere, somewhere lower.
SPEAKER_06He was at court? No, no, no. He was somewhere.
SPEAKER_03No, he was somewhere. He had a he had a show somewhere.
SPEAKER_06Oh, well, I'm sure there's a lot of people that had shows somewhere.
SPEAKER_03All right. Yeah. I was being for real. I think.
SPEAKER_06I heard that Hannah Harper is gonna be coming.
SPEAKER_02Um American Idol winner. Oh, I was about to say, I'm not sure. Yeah. She started naming people, people have to be Hannah Harper. She seems very sweet, and um, she's got an amazing voice and talent.
SPEAKER_06So ridiculous voice, amazing songwriter. She's a mama three, and she was a worship leader. And she they she was just washing dishes and like posting Instagram of her singing. She traveled with her parents when she was younger because they did bluegrass and they traveled to churches and they would perform at churches. But she won American Idol. Just recently, happening. Yeah, just recently. And the last song, the song that she chose to sing for her finale was um that's too legit? No, it was um at the cross by her song. Tomlin. I would have rather too legit. And she was praising the Lord. Right. She was legit praising the Lord. Good for her. It was awesome. It was pretty awesome. Okay, so here I got okay. We talked about AI earlier.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06So AI, like, you're talking about how great AI is like performing.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, it's just like you you're it's harder and harder to tell if it's real.
SPEAKER_06Well this um this was not a good performance for AI. Okay.
SPEAKER_00This is why we have critical thinking skills going on graduates. Everyone who is standing, I I this what's this is here's what's happening. We're using a new AI system as our reader. So we're using AI to read the names of the graduates of this recently. So that is that is a lesson learned from us. Um it failed.
SPEAKER_11But we were able to do those.
SPEAKER_00You have to walk across the stage and get a picture, which is what I would hope would be the most meaningful meaningful um no, this is going sideways fast. So I'm gonna have to disappoint many of you. We will not be able to walk the stage a second time. What in order to have the name on the screen. You've handed over your cards, so we won't be able to do that.
SPEAKER_06So they have cards that they have like their nameplate cards, and they've already handed them over. So because AI failed, they don't have a list of the students in order, so they can't have them walk across the stage and say their name when they get their degree or they get their diploma. So they literally, because they relied on AI to read the names of the students, not intelligent. It failed, and now the students can't walk across the stage.
SPEAKER_02This is a perfect picture of those Waymo cars that are going down the wrong way of the street and parking on roller tracks.
SPEAKER_03I'm not for AI at all, but for some reason I feel like this wasn't AI's fault at all. I feel like whomever programmed this thing, I think they had something to do with it. I'm not saying it was that lady that we just saw. You're only as good as your tools.
SPEAKER_11That's that's all I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03That's a good point. AI really wasn't to blame here. I like how they were how they were shifting the blame on somebody that nobody could get mad at. They were like, AI didn't read it right.
SPEAKER_06Like Brenda, the intern. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, think about it. Yeah, yeah. I don't think Brenda. If Lynette misspells or misreads your name, that's you can get up in Lynette's face and be like, my child's name. Yeah, but AI messed up. Right.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's a really good point.
SPEAKER_03Passing the buck, man.
SPEAKER_06But I'll tell you who's happy. The graduates are super mad. Yeah. But everybody else is thrilled.
SPEAKER_02Because it because yeah, like it goes, gets done.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, like I never graduated.
SPEAKER_03Is it is it a cool thing to walk across or something?
SPEAKER_06It's a very cool thing. I mean, it's not so hard. But the thing is, is that you gotta watch 200 students walk across. Like the AI people.
SPEAKER_02I tell you what, the worst thing is, and we we are homeschoolers, but the homeschool um graduations they go on forever.
SPEAKER_06They can.
SPEAKER_02I just recently went to Scott of one last year, just yesterday.
SPEAKER_06Just yesterday.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. Parking at a homeschool graduation's got to be brutal, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, the homeschool group that I helped with, we changed it and it went by very fast. It was great. But yes, a lot of the homeschool, because the parents get up and talk.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's that's the immediate what I do. I think do you know why they're so much longer than public schools?
SPEAKER_06Because the parents.
SPEAKER_03Because you have more graduates.
SPEAKER_02Let's go. The other thing is that you get there to the graduation and you know that the parents have three minutes to talk. And then you see the amount of parents up there, and automatically I become a math wizard. Because I'm seeing the I'm doing the math. I'm like, oh, and I'm also adding another 30 seconds to this guy because he is long-winded.
SPEAKER_11Right.
SPEAKER_03My daughter just told me that, yeah, they she had friends graduate this year. She graduates next year.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And she was like, You get to speak, you get one minute to speak at my graduation. And I go, Oh, wow. And then the lady that runs it, um, I won't say her name, but uh it's Christina Parnell. Oh, yeah. And uh she was like, uh she's like, you know, we we don't, you know, you don't have to turn in. I asked, I go, Do you have to turn in the speech? And she goes, No, no, but yours we will require to see. And I go, Okay, that's cute. You think I'll still use whatever I turn in? That's funny.
SPEAKER_06That's funny.
SPEAKER_03Good on you.
SPEAKER_06She's a very wise lady. Oh, yeah. Okay, just for some fun, a little good news here. School's out for the summer. Oh, yeah. So school's out. I thought you'd appreciate this. Uh, this uh dad, he um had a little tribute for his kids when they got off the schools.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh man, a little Alice Cooper in the Alice Cooper. Wow.
SPEAKER_03They got the whole band out there. Dad's getting the band back together.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's awesome. Oh yeah, now watch the sun come up along the sidewalk here. He walks from the back of the bus, a throwback to the 70s with this Alice Cooper song. Yeah, you can see it. That's all Matt Wilson's idea. There's his band. He told me over to give me a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a kid over here. Come on.
SPEAKER_03You better give me some sugar. That's what my kid, my tip would go. My kid would go next door and act like they don't live at the house.
SPEAKER_05That's awesome.
SPEAKER_03That's why I put the band on the wheels just kind of fall you out.
SPEAKER_06That was great.
SPEAKER_03That's good for that dad, man. That's a good dad. That's really good. That's that's again harmless fun. Harmless fun.
SPEAKER_06So fun. Love it, love it, love it. It's great. Wow. Yeah. Good stuff.
SPEAKER_02All right. Well, here comes the funny part of the show. Sorry, you've been watching for 22 minutes and haven't had the funny part yet. But we're about to get funny. Here we go. But hold up. It's time for What's the Punch Time? All right. So uh the first uh video here, very excited about. Can't wait. It's so funny. And so we're on uh 1A. Feels like it's a flip challenge. I see. It looks like it's been more than that. It does. It feels longer. Especially right now.
SPEAKER_09So I'm fucking on a let it buffer for a second. Here we go.
SPEAKER_02Here we go. All right, the flip challenge. All right. There you go. A little dabble do you give you a taste. This guy had a brick and a bucket in a bucket behind him. On construction site, you gotta be careful. Looks like he's in an attic. Uh my father-in-law, like you said, has worn our house as a diaper before. So you gotta be careful where you walk.
SPEAKER_11I've done it.
SPEAKER_03This is that same crew, I think, that uh rubbed that toilet paper in the uh into the asbestos or whatever it was.
SPEAKER_02Maybe. Maybe having some harmless fun. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Love harmless fun.
SPEAKER_02Is that harmless fun with the asbestos? A little bit of harm. You know what's funny is that like I am thankful that because of the science science and technology and creation of the toilet paper, that it's gotten better over the years because now when you wipe, you know when to quit because it turns red. That's his side of poop.
SPEAKER_03Side of poop jokes.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_03From from the blood. Oh, no.
SPEAKER_09So what happens? We're gonna see what happens here.
SPEAKER_02See what happens. Okay.
SPEAKER_11Oh no.
SPEAKER_09Oh no.
SPEAKER_03That's good. That's a good idea.
SPEAKER_02Hey, what's that thing we buy for uh Zeke every Christmas?
SPEAKER_06That's the worst.
SPEAKER_02I didn't see that coming. We buy Zeke the thing for every Christmas.
SPEAKER_06Yes, we buy him nutcrackers. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Nutcrackers. Alright, so the uh second video.
SPEAKER_06Stop it.
SPEAKER_02I was just asking to make sure I had the right thing.
SPEAKER_06You're ridiculous. Number two.
SPEAKER_02You're having fun. You're having fun. I like that video. Okay. Okay. Okay, ice cream for ice cream. Oh no. Here we go.
SPEAKER_06Oops. He's putting ice cream in his pants. And his cheese and crackers. Cheese and crackers.
SPEAKER_03It's called ice cream use cream. And then it goes straight to a guy with his shirt off. Yeah. And his pants are a good bit weighs down.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he did like a debit card look transaction.
SPEAKER_03Tap to pay. Yeah, this guy's like, is your butt hungry for some ice cream? Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm guessing he drops the ice cream into the guy's butt in the back of his undercarriage.
SPEAKER_11There we go.
SPEAKER_03Ice cream for ice cream. Oh, it's a it's a popsicle. Oh, oh rubber.
SPEAKER_06Oh that was on the mohe pad.
SPEAKER_02Hey, phone me once. Shame on the thing. He's still holding it.
SPEAKER_05What are you gonna do with it? He's gonna stick it in black, I guess. Why is he holding it?
SPEAKER_10I mean, he had to take it out of his mouth. I get that. But like, you know, discard it, man.
SPEAKER_00It's horrible.
SPEAKER_03That was the worst. I keep rubbing his butt. No, no. No.
SPEAKER_06He put it in somebody's lady. What's up with you and these guys with these popsicles and then something's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_10What's up with you and these guys with these popsicles? Soundclip. Oh, you're watching it again. Oh man. Yeah, can you watch that again? That's not as sincere. Like let's see that.
SPEAKER_02You know what's funny? He is holding onto that ice cream. He really wasn't. So he's not done with it.
SPEAKER_06He was looking for somebody to shove it in their mouth. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02He was gonna go finish it. No, I don't know. Okay, and keep in mind, uh, what would be your favorite? So you got one and two. Are you sure? We've got three A and uh holding a grudge.
SPEAKER_06Holding a grudge.
SPEAKER_02Ooh.
SPEAKER_06Okay, so she's mad.
SPEAKER_02So it's Vietnamese up there. I looked it up. I think it says something like uh the things that I do that um that won't make you sad, or something like that. I want to do things that don't want to make you be sad. Yeah. It's something transitional.
SPEAKER_03Maybe. Clearly, the guy's tired or sleeping. You can watch it again? No. Okay. I think that's why he didn't warn her. Look at him. The guy is worn out. He's holding a grudge. He's tired. She looks like she's holding a grudge. Oh, you can see her head's getting red swelling. Oh no. Wow.
SPEAKER_06Oh, wow, she slapped it.
SPEAKER_03She sure did. She was waiting for him to laugh.
SPEAKER_06She's just lit him up.
SPEAKER_03And it took all day. Yeah. But kudos to him for waiting so long. Yeah. I would not have.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06It could have taken all day, or it could have been like 30 minutes because this is, you know, how Instagram works.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that just like a lady, though, to walk into something on her own accord and then get mad at the gentleman next to her that's with her?
SPEAKER_02And he held composure. Didn't laugh, you know, when it happened. He didn't laugh through a couple different scenes. He's dreaming about it, apparently. Probably. And then she lights him up. Anyway, what was your favorite?
SPEAKER_06Oh man. Do I have to be able to do it?
SPEAKER_03The shovel. Ice cream. No, that's Amber. She watched it twice and then tried to blame me. You wanted to watch it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I think I choose not to have a favorite on this one.
SPEAKER_03Do you like ice cream?
SPEAKER_06Do I like ice cream or do I like that ice cream?
SPEAKER_02Oh man. Man, that's a good thing. I don't think that's a good friend. Oh yeah. Looks like they've been changing entire in the heat.
SPEAKER_03Think about it. That's the same guy that wipes with uh with asbestos toilet paper.
SPEAKER_02Man, it's itchy too. Like your tongue's inching. Yeah. Oh goodness. Jingleberries. All right, come on, man. That's what I'd be concerned about. Yeah. There you go. All right. Told you it'd be fun. Hey, uh, we'll move on to the next segment uh because we have serious takes. All right. So I got a couple of uh questionable or debatable topics uh to lobby out here. All right.
SPEAKER_06So one is stretching for this.
SPEAKER_02One goes is what goes better with food? Okay. Is it is it chocolate, ranch, ketchup, or cheese? Chocolate. Man.
SPEAKER_03You answer really quickly. These are supposed to be like that. You just go with your own.
SPEAKER_06Well, cho I mean always chocolate.
SPEAKER_03So but but he said, What all right, may I may I ask for a little bit of a thing. It could be strawberry. Yeah, you mean food in general. Yeah, a lot of it. So if I have pizza, chocolate's not gonna be good with it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yes. Right. But but cheese would be, and ranch would be. Or ketchup either. Ketchup would be good.
SPEAKER_06So are you talking about because I always like to have chocolate right after I eat. No, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I'm talking about combining when you're combining, you have a food, whether it's strawberry or pizza or macaroni cheese or eggs or whatever, and what are you gonna enhance the food? What goes well with it? What are you enhance?
SPEAKER_03So if you had to have one of those four things and you don't get the rest, like you let's say you only get to pick one condiment kind of is what I'm saying, and chocolate's one of them. That's tough. I would probably go ketchup. I use ketchup for so many different things. It does a lot, but chocolate's chocolate's good by itself. Yeah. But like ketchup, you could you could I mean if you've got ramen noodles and ketchup, you can make spaghetti. But not you, you're dry. But I'm saying the dry with the spaghetti, with the ketchup on it. Now that's spaghetti. It's noodles and spaghetti. It's noodles and sauce. That's spaghetti, bro.
SPEAKER_06Dry ramen noodles and ketchup is not spaghetti.
SPEAKER_03It is. So um you can put it on a pizza. You can put it on bread. Just ketchup and bread. Ketchup and pizza?
SPEAKER_02I haven't tried that yet. Yeah. Um I've uh I I would argue uh ranch is up there too. I don't know. I don't man, it'd be tough for me. I I really like cheese. I remember growing up, my mom. I like cheese a lot too. And she would make broccoli. It's gross. And she would steam broccoli, but dinner or Brussels sprouts or something like that. Boo, mom. And she would cover this thing with cheese. It'd be like a bunch of melted Velvetta. Velveeta Velveeta cheese on it. It's not real cheese. Uh it's not plastic cheese. Yeah. But, anyways, um I really like ranch.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, ranch.
SPEAKER_03But I do like ketchup. Cheese is probably another good one too, because cheese is going to want a lot. You can just add cheese on something.
SPEAKER_06But there's a whole genre of food that is the answer to your question.
SPEAKER_02Chocolate.
SPEAKER_06And it's called fondue.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I don't do fondue. That's great. Cheese.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Because isn't that recycled taste like the number one ingredient, the number one food ingredient in fondue is cheese. There's separate ones like chocolate and like cheese is a little different because it's different from ranch and ketchup because it's more of a liquid.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess you can get cheese to be liquid, but it's cheese dip. Queso. Yeah. But it's like ranch, you don't get like a ranch block of cheese. No, I get cheese.
SPEAKER_03Like honey mustard ranch ketchup. Which one would you take? Yeah, yeah. Which one you just want to do? Right.
SPEAKER_06Cheese is more versatile.
SPEAKER_03Versatile, yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_06I mean, you've got shredded. Ketchup? Definitely not saying chocolate.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I like chocolate, but I don't think chocolate's the answer. But it's not the answer for this questionnaire. What are you gonna put chocolate on?
SPEAKER_06Put chocolate on chips? Put chocolate on ice cream? Ice cream?
SPEAKER_02There was chocolate on there.
SPEAKER_06Oh, stop. Stop talking.
SPEAKER_02Okay, how about uh is whisper.
SPEAKER_06Like pizza, you can have like what?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Are you done that?
SPEAKER_06Chocolate chips on pizza? Like chocolate pizza.
SPEAKER_02They're like cookie pizza. It's like a a dessert pizza. Oh yeah. Here's another question. Is whispering automatically suspicious? If you see someone whispering, is it automatically suspicious?
SPEAKER_06Or if I see somebody whispering. Like if we were in a group here. You'd have to hear somebody whisper, not see them whisper. Well, you you know, you see them doing international sign for whisper.
SPEAKER_02Right. You see them or hear them whispering, is it automatically suspicious? Or are they being polite because they don't want to, you know, distract or something. I think it's one of the two.
SPEAKER_06Wow, that's a great idea.
SPEAKER_03I think they're either being very polite or they're extremely suspicious.
SPEAKER_06So either cheese or chocolate.
SPEAKER_03Here's the way I would decipher which one it would be. Yeah. If when you whisper, everybody knows you put your hand up. Okay. Let's say the audience is here where they are. If I whisper this way, I'm being polite. I'm going Hat.
SPEAKER_06Or weird.
SPEAKER_03And that way everybody can see what I'm saying. See your lips. If I whisper this way, How do you know that I'm being I'm being suspicious? Because I'm covering what you can't see.
SPEAKER_06If you're this way, you're being polite to definitely.
SPEAKER_03This is polite. No, I'm so you can still see what I'm saying if you can read my lips. Right. This is like, I don't want you to know what I'm saying. Like, I'm going to say something about Amber's age. But I don't want anybody to see that. But you but you do this so you can't hear it. Yeah. And doing this means nobody can hear it.
SPEAKER_02Your hand goes way back like that. That's what you want to do. You see that? It was like a U. Yeah. I'm telling you, did you know that? I thought you were doing this. But look, it was the back of your knuckles. Yeah, I mean, look. I thought that was your right hand doing that. Oh, left.
SPEAKER_05So I think it's suspicious both ways that Jared does it.
SPEAKER_02Either way, I'm doing it.
unknownWicking me out.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's wicking me out in the weird alien sign language.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Here's another question. Yeah, here's another question. Should every person, should every person be required to work a customer service job?
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_03Only if you're going to go into a to like a restaurant. If you're going to go eat at a restaurant and eat inside, then you should be required to work one month at some restaurant and know what one month? Yes, one month.
SPEAKER_06Why why 30 days?
SPEAKER_03Because that's what I said. That's what a month is.
SPEAKER_06I know, but why? Or 38. Why, Jared?
SPEAKER_03Or 28 in February. Because that's a good that's a good amount of days to get the idea of what this is. I think if you're working for 30 days and serving people at a when you go to sit down at a table, you'll be a little more respectful and be like, yeah, I did that. I know what's going on.
SPEAKER_0630 days.
SPEAKER_03I can see that. I think you should. It should be some kind of like a driver's license when you go to when you go into your nice fancy restaurant like Chili's and they go, We need to see your ID and you know your your your food license. Oh, in order to get a table. Yeah. Then you show them like, oh, okay, you can go sure. You've waited. If you don't have it, it's to go then.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that's your real ID? That's your check. They have like a little check mark.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, it'll have like a table on it.
SPEAKER_06Like a little table. Says that I've waited tables. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. I think that everybody should have to endure that for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, I mean, there's have you ever waited tables? I have never waited tables. I know Amber has. Yeah. I've I've bussed and I've uh hosted and I've worked in the kitchen a bunch. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Wow, I thought they only gave that to ladies.
SPEAKER_02Uh they give it to people who uh the face of the store, when you walk in, they're like, all right, this place is safe. I trust this person. How long did you work there? Two days. How long do people feel safe, Chad? No, no, no. It was I was Olive Garden. It was Olive Garden. And I worked there with my one of my uh best friends. His name was Chad. Uh-huh. And uh Chad, it was uh it was at the time when Olive Garden they made the pasta and the hosting station was right there, and right behind us was the person who made the pasta. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, that was a cool that was the that was the the high error of Olive Garden.
SPEAKER_02Right when it came out, yeah. And so and then he uh um he would come out and then we would uh uh eat a lot of the uh breadsticks and drink a lot of the fountain drinks, but we also would uh take a little hit off the the helium tanks and uh and sing songs.
SPEAKER_03Not expecting take a hit off of the and I was expecting like you know anything like off the soup, you know, the all you can eat the soup.
SPEAKER_02He goes, helium tanks.
SPEAKER_06And kids do not do that.
SPEAKER_02That is not good because I remember uh I got very lightheaded. Yeah, and we almost passed out. That is a host never passed.
SPEAKER_06That is a hostess thing. That hostesses would do that. The one time I was working a shift and one of the guys did that, and he was a college student, this was a college town, and I went out there to go check on the hostess because I was like the lead server and I was walking around making sure everything was working, and I went out there and he had just taken the hit and he fell, passed out, and he like came to like pretty quickly, but he couldn't get up off the carpet, and he was he was going in circles on the carpet with like curly from the street juice was just rubbing up against the carpet, and he was going in circles, and he finally got up and he had a huge rug burn on his face.
SPEAKER_02That's beautiful.
SPEAKER_06That's what you get from second helium, don't you kids? Don't do it.
SPEAKER_02Do you guys have any have any favorite customer service stories? Like like uh how it went sideways or uh a fairy tale ending or any Oh man, I have so many of them. Because you're dealing with Joe Public, and that you know, there can be a lot of nice people, but there can be people who you catch catch them on the bed. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I used to bartend and Tony Orlando's mom was one of my regulars. Tony Orlando saying, tie a yellow ribbon round the old.
SPEAKER_03I heard her say, turn her to say Tony Montana, and I was like, Tony Montana.
SPEAKER_06Tony Orlando. Um anyways, she was one of my regulars. And she would have this certain drink that she would get.
SPEAKER_11Yep.
SPEAKER_06Um, and if she drank, if she when she ordered her third one, if she ever did order her third one, then I was supposed to call Tony Orlando's house and somebody would come and pick her up. And one time it was Tony. I got to meet Tony Orlando.
SPEAKER_03I brought somebody a roll once in my apron and then put it on their plate. They weren't too happy about it. It's like in a pocket and you put it out. Yep. Oh, okay. Listen to say we can say I was I was very petty. Oh, is because I need a roll. Yeah. Oh, okay. Most of the time, like a server. Usually you have a server as like, you know, like, no, I'm gonna work for this tip. I'm gonna do good. Yeah. But again, Ched, sometimes I'm I'm petty. And I would be like, Well, I don't I don't care about the tip that's coming. You sit here for as long as you want, and I'm gonna have fun with you. And that's why you don't work for the same. So what happened?
SPEAKER_02What what made it that situation?
SPEAKER_03Uh the guy the guy had been rude, like when we when he got to his table, I think he'd only been there, but maybe a minute. But you know, when you're there, you feel like you've been there. So I came to the table. Hey, can I get you guys something to drink? And he was like, We've been sitting here for five minutes. We know what we can we just get our food in, please? And I'm like, Oh, yeah, sure. Okay. So then I take his food order and then I go to leave, and he's like, Aren't you gonna get my drink order? And I go, No, sir, I'm taking food orders right now.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so we just started off at a bad That sounds like nothing.
SPEAKER_06Oh wow, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Then I come back around later and be like, You want to get those drink orders now? Hey, how you doing? And then he's like, You know, I'm not gonna tip you at the end of this, and I go, Okay. Okay, yeah, yeah. Your food hadn't come out yet, sir, so play nice.
SPEAKER_02Remember when we talked about this? We talked about this. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Was that on Sunday? I'm sure. No, no, they didn't know. Because on Sundays, that was the worst. You know, we're all Christian here, but on it was the worst on Sundays is that I was a Christian when I was serving, and the servers hated working on Sunday, except in the smoking section. That was back when you could have the smoking section. Everybody wanted to work smoking section on Sundays because the sinners were better than the saints as far as like tipping and what did my dad have them for?
SPEAKER_03He smoked.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_03He's a saint.
SPEAKER_06But it was bad.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it was so bad, and it was hard to be a Christian as a witness to other people that worked there because we just went out this this past um weekend and we got a burger and we went to this restaurant, sit down at night. You know, it's not like fancy, but it's like a chain. And yeah, and but we we sat down and we were there, we weren't there that long, but you know, we we waited for maybe maybe a minute or two, and the waitress that was sitting with us, she already had a a big table and another table, and she was kind of like in the weeds, whatever. Yeah, yeah. Um, but she came by and she came by restaurant link. Yeah, in the weeds.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and even minimum one he knows restaurant link. Oh, he was oasis, I was the hostess, man. I put you in the weeds.
SPEAKER_02I put you in the weeds, maybe six potatoes. Yeah, but uh yeah, so I'm hitting helium and putting people in the weeds. Oh man. So, but this lady, she came up and she was very nice, and I wasn't expecting this because I was like, all right, I'm just ready to get my drinks, whatever. But she's like, uh, all right, I'll take your uh order for drinks, and don't worry about it. The drinks are on the house. I'm sorry it took me so long.
SPEAKER_06And she wasn't that long, it wasn't that long. It was so nice. I was like Well, she actually was long.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I didn't feel like I didn't personally feel like it was like you were with me and we were hanging out and having a good chat. True.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, but she was it was a long time. So kudos to her for actually doing that because it was good. It was nice, and she was very nice. Yeah, that's the thing is that people don't mind like if they if they you know, unless they've got something going on. If they have to wait or something goes wrong with their food, but just be nice to the you know like go the extra mile as a server.
SPEAKER_03There's definitely those that would go the extra mile and give you a really extremely nice tip and stuff, but the amount of people that are really rude are far more than that.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna go, I'm gonna do my I'm gonna endeavor and do my best to be nice as a customer to the wait staff. Uh at least to get my food, but I don't go be rude after get my food, but at least once you get your food, you can let the explosives fly. No, but like, but like, because you know, they're it's not just a working job.
SPEAKER_06Especially after church. If you go after church to a restaurant, please, please take care of your servers. Be nice and don't run them. That's the thing.
SPEAKER_03Don't leave a track as a tip.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that was the worst. Like there'd be like a like a cassette, like a cassette or a CD. Or though even worse than that, is they would take like water and put a dollar bill on it and then flip it over. So that you have to and then you're like if you pull the dollar bill, the water comes out. It's just it's like, what are you doing, people?
SPEAKER_03Or like a like a like a got Jesus like a bad milk. But you gave them Jesus. He was already there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Victoria.
SPEAKER_03You gave it.
SPEAKER_06I think you gave him Jesus and then you left without Jesus. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Did you leave yours with him? Yeah, that's right. I'm not sure you picked him up. He might still be there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06It is. Be nice to you. Be nice. Be nice to your waiters.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Just be nice.
SPEAKER_02Mysterious.
