He's an actor, he's a comedian, he's a writer, he does so many things. Uh we got so many talents. What else, Jerry? What's something that we don't know about you? Um I can juggle two balls at once. Hey, that's something. And there's Amber Davis. She is a writer, comedian, producer. She's directed. Uh she speaks. She is a mom. She's a florist. She does a lot of things. Uh she is a uh delegator. I noticed y'all did some yard work. Y'all been doing some work outside. I saw that in the front. Yeah, a little bed and had some purple things.

I am enjoying it. That whole um uh yard work in the front, uh that I took plants from other places in our yard.

Yeah, it's called what are those purple things? It's called propicia. That's it. It's the uh the process to get the plants how you uh cut them off and propagate. Propaganda is when you cut them off and you put them in there. Propaganda, yeah.

She's got a green thumb. There was a time when we were, you know, when we were first together that anything you gave her as a plant wise, she'd kill it.

If you would have told me years ago that I'd be planting a cottage garden, I'd be like, never. Never in a million years would I do this. Yeah. And that's what I'm doing.

Oh, that's my kids are swimming, you know, summertime. A lot of outdoor stuff. About to get the bad mittens set up in the backyard. Oh, some schooling goals there. Oh, yeah. I spray paint the grass and I cut the grass in the in the in that part of the yard. I cut it lower. Oh, yeah. So you can you look in our backyard, you can tell. You'll have to come over. I get down on some badmintons. Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm pretty good.

All right, don't drag, but do you get do you let up on the kids or you just get served to them hot?

Uh no, no, I'm pedaled to the metal. Yeah.

Yeah, I'm zero to a hundred. And yeah, I mean, I don't care if the score is if they have zero, I'm I'm running game on them.

I'm the same way with every game that I've ever played with the kids, I'm full tilt boogie. Matter of fact, the last basketball game I played with my son, I think he was maybe 14 years old. And he was playing for the Heat, Tennessee Heat, and he was getting good. And I barely won by four points. And uh he wanted to run it back, and I was like, No, I'm good. I'm leaving the winner. I left on top.

It's and we had Zeke knew it was close, and he was like, he's tired. I could get him next one. Oh, he totally could have.

But we had this phrase in our house that I made them say, especially you and our daughter, because highly competitive. Zeke is also competitive. Um, and we would I would make them say, Okay, everybody, just say this is not the Olympics and family first. That's what we would always say. And they would they would barely say it.

I would say you're going down like four flat tires. That's what I say to them.

I I play them hard enough in Badminton where they finally go, Oh, we're just gonna go inside. And I go, That's right. Quit. Yeah.

I'm out there like serving it hard and running and going underneath and then getting it back up. I'm telling you.

It's like that, but if you were to watch it from afar, you'd be like, Who are these two? There's two on two. What are these four guys doing? It's because you're that you're that fast. Yeah.

But your your kids are super talented, so they were uh in uh something pretty cool here recently.

Yeah, yeah. Like uh what, three of them were? Yeah. Uh oldest Eden was a star role in a Peter Pan play out here in Great Levin in Tennessee. Uh and and Jeremiah was also in the same play, but he wasn't the star role yet. But he didn't play. But he's working it. He he was a lost boy. Yes. Yeah, I think he got typecasted. Yeah. Like a vampire, right? No, yeah, no, no.

Not lost boy. No, wrong lost boy. They live on an island. Right. Okay. Well, I thought the lost boy, they live on an island. Yeah, this is a musical. Oh, okay. Yeah. It's a family. Peter Pan, man. Oh, okay. I'm back. I'm on board again. You're on a different island with boys.

Yeah, so he was a lost boy. Eden played the role of Peter Pan.

And she knocked it out of the park.

Way to go, Eden. It was kudos to phenomenal.

So he pulled that folder real fast while we're talking about it. She didn't that punchline folder. Yep.

She did great. And then uh Israel was also uh in a play called Tell Me a Story, and it was just uh had like a lot of little uh fairy tales, and he was uh the huntsman. He came out with this full-length coat on, like down to his ankles, and he was uh shotgun over his shoulder. He nailed it. Oh, he loved it. I um he thought it was so cool they gave him that. That gave they let him walk around with that. I mean, it wasn't even a real, it was a wooden, you could tell it was a carved wooden gun.

Oh no, it looked good.

He was like, he's like, they let me walk around with this gun, Papa. And I'm like, what? Yeah, he's like, no, he's like, it's not real. I'm like, well, I know, but and then when I even saw it, I'm like, oh, it's even less real than I thought. I thought they at least gave him like something loaded. The gun with the orange cap on the top of it or something. It's a wooden thing that somebody carved yesterday.

He looked great. He did outstanding. Okay, so there's a couple of right, yeah.

So uh unfortunately I do not have a picture of Is on there. Um didn't wasn't able to get that one, but I do have some other pictures here. Uh you got a number one picture right there. Uh yeah, Jared and the kiddos. This is freshly after we've seen it.

There's Eden with that wig on. Yeah. You know how many people asked me, did she cut her hair? Because I've if you if you know, if you've met Eden before, her hair is always very long. It's extremely long. And I was like, no, she did not. They've got it pinned up in there somehow. And her hair is very big, too. Very good, yeah, thick. I don't know how they did it. I don't either, but it's up under there. Yeah. She's got that little. Yeah, she's seven uh 15, 16, she's 17. 17. She'd be 18. 18.

So she's just tiny. She's a tiny. She's very small, yeah. But she was perfect for people. It was great.

I mean, like, because they picked her up and stuff and when she was flying, yeah.

She did amazing. Like the you know, there's like kids' productions and stuff where you're just like, oh, this is okay. But it was phenomenal. Shout out to Marshmallow Productions. I'm here in the Wilson County, Lebanon, Tennessee area. They really knocked it out there. They do agree, yeah.

They do. They do a really great job. And matter of fact, I know our daughter had helped out with something like that a long, long time ago.

And and it was, I remember the place she was in, but it was like a very small production. And that's that was mean, that had to be like 10, 15 years ago, it seems like.

Yes. And then uh And that was when the original um lady, Diane, yeah, um, was and she passed away. Yeah. She's with Jesus now. But um, that was marshmallow productions. Yeah, our our daughter was the witch in Hansel and Gretel.

Yeah, and her son has something to do with it. Oh, with on marshmallow. And then okay, they said too at the beginning of one play that his he had just recently got married and his wife had passed away as well.

I was just gonna say complimentary. We were getting too high there for a minute. So but I but what I was gonna say is that my expectation going into it was where I last saw it. It was just, you know, it was still nice family and very small production. And so when we went there and it was like full-on scale production and great acting and choreograph, everything was great. Yeah, I was blown away. Um, let's go to our next picture here. Um, you can close that out so I can see which one it is.

Um, I did theater all through high school, and this was it, the production was amazing.

There's uh Eden. This is great. Really? Yeah. Well, let's see if Amber can play. It takes a while to warm up. That's like an old truck. It's like me, yeah. You gotta wait. It's the waiting part is good. It does, it does me good to be patient and wait. It's only like a it's like less than a minute.

That young man's not even like a hundred percent well. Yeah. He's he's the kid that got hurt in the football game. He did, yeah. And I don't want to I don't want to you know tell tool tales out of school because I don't know a hundred percent because he's not even he's he did a such a good job, and he's not even running on a hundred percent.

She by the after that, she actually, depending on when her birthday, I think because her birthday, it's like up to 18. Gotcha. Oh, okay. So her birthday may fall where she can't do another one afterwards. I think she has a regular play next. I don't think we know what it is yet either. Yeah, okay. I haven't announced.

Well, okay, so here we go. Japan bears attack. We just had some friends that went to Japan. They got back recently, or they were on their way back from uh their honeymoon, actually, in Japan. But this there's a bear. Did y'all hear about this bear tank?

I don't hear about I don't hear about the bear attacks in America. I don't even know Japanese. This is kind of wild.

Yeah, this is crazy. Watch. One recent encounter was caught on video. Keep your eye on the bottom right of the screen. A bear bursts towards a man. He tries to run away, circling the area, but the bear catches him, eventually throwing him to the ground. An approaching vehicles spooked the bear, chasing it away. Last year in Japan, a record 20 people were killed in over 240 bears.

Katsuko Harada carries scars from over 20 years ago when a bear sank its teeth into his skull.

So, this guy had this uh bear attack him.

Harada is now part of a group that helps keep problematic wildlife at bay in rural Japan. One common way to trap bears is by using a large cage with bait. As the creature approaches the bait, it steps on a metal plate, triggering the door to close. The trapped bear is looked after and fed until it is called.

Like we go through the North Carolina Mountains, it's real relaxing. I'm driving, I'm looking at the city.

I like a combo of this, but I like the No, you gotta choose one. But I like the the um re I like building in days that you are not sightseeing. So like if the vacation is a week, then you have like a day or two where you're doing nothing but hanging out at the hotel or the place that you're staying, and then you have like maybe one or two days where you're sightseeing and you sprinkle those in. So it's not like every day. Like I I know families that go places and it's like every day they're going, they're constantly going, going, going.

I don't whenever see whenever you when you're there and you're like, hey, I want to go do that just spontaneously.
