SPEAKER_00Oh, you want to do snack time first?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. My snack time, I wish they still had. Because I might eat cereal if they still had this. But then again, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Why you don't like cereal? I'm trying to figure out.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_00You don't have one that you like, so that's why you don't.
SPEAKER_02Because I'm so picky. The milk got to be so cold. You know, it's just so much. I'll just grab a sandwich or something. It's so much.
SPEAKER_00I had some cereal today. I had some pops.
SPEAKER_02For real?
SPEAKER_00I sure did.
SPEAKER_02Do they taste the same like back in the day?
SPEAKER_00To me, they do. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, mine is going to be a cereal for this week. From 1983 to 1988, they made a cereal called Pac-Man. It was a cereal. It was the same thing as, like, a Lucky Charms, but it was, like, the Pac-Man figures, and
SPEAKER_00he had the marshmallows. Oh, it's a fake Lucky Charms. You could just eat
SPEAKER_02Lucky Charms. Nah, but, you know, back then, Pac-Man was big. The video game, Ms. Pac-Man, and, you
SPEAKER_00know... gonna start eating cereal?
SPEAKER_02Nah, you know what I really want to do? I want to collect cereal boxes.
SPEAKER_00Don't you got enough collections?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I want to collect like old, like cereal boxes. Remember this? Remember the Mr. T cereal?
SPEAKER_00Where would you even find those? Um, they're
SPEAKER_02around.
SPEAKER_00You would have to get it from someone else who collected it?
SPEAKER_02Be a collector, yeah. Okay. I don't know, it's just, I did a photo shoot with different cereals at one time and ever since then I was like, I'm obsessed with seeing boxes now of cereal boxes.
SPEAKER_00They did have some cool boxes back in the day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The toys inside.
SPEAKER_00All right. When I be yard selling, if I see a whole collection of cereal boxes, I'll let you know.
SPEAKER_02You know me. If you yard selling, if you see cell phones.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I see cell phones all the time. You ain't told me that.
SPEAKER_02Boom boxes. Well, you did call me on
SPEAKER_00one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02CDs. I just got some stuff a couple weeks ago somewhere I picked up. Some 45s.
SPEAKER_00They be having the goods at the yard sales.
SPEAKER_02Yep, those estate sales and yard sales. But that's my snack for the week. Pac-Man cereal. It was created in 1983 and it lasts to 1988. He

SPEAKER_01Nah, that
SPEAKER_02ain't it.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm going to go into my My snack is Fun Fruit. From Sunkiss They were like little Oh
SPEAKER_02yeah They were shaped like fruits But they were
SPEAKER_00Yeah like little fruit snacks Little gummy fruit They got
SPEAKER_02that now
SPEAKER_00They're not fun fruits though
SPEAKER_02It tastes
SPEAKER_00different? It tastes different Oh okay
SPEAKER_02You know the year?
SPEAKER_00No I sure don't
SPEAKER_02So do they make it now?
SPEAKER_00No they don't make them no more
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh I just remembered I forgot something Last week we talked about Tang
SPEAKER_00I don't want no Tang
SPEAKER_02And I was gonna bring the Tang today I don't want no Tang
SPEAKER_00Why you even got Tang?
SPEAKER_02No, I was going to go and get Tang.
SPEAKER_00I don't even think they make Tang. They do. I haven't seen Tang.
SPEAKER_02It's in a, you know, plastic bottle now.
SPEAKER_00I'm good. Dang, I forgot. I told you, if you wanted to get something, get me some Kool-Aid.
SPEAKER_02Nah, Tang, same thing. I was going to do it on the air and all that. I
SPEAKER_00don't want no Tang.
SPEAKER_02You making it into a Fear Factor episode. I don't want no Kool-Aid Tang. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I don't even think they make Tang, though. but okay. They do.
SPEAKER_02I'm going to find it. I'm going to surprise you. Next week. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next week. All right. Fruit snacks.
SPEAKER_00Fruit snacks. Fun fruits.
SPEAKER_02I remember those. You remember those the shark bites?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And they had the great white the great white shark in there.
SPEAKER_00It was white and blue. Yep. Come on, man. They don't make the good stuff like they used to. It probably
SPEAKER_02wasn't even good. We probably just eat it because we
SPEAKER_00were kids. My fun fruits was good. I always had to have those in my lunchbox.
SPEAKER_02See, I didn't have a lunchbox. I didn't.
SPEAKER_00You didn't have the little old joint, you know, you do the little silver thing and latch it. You didn't have one of those?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the one with the Dukes of Hazzard
SPEAKER_00on it or something? It had like different characters.
SPEAKER_02The Mr. T? I had the Mr. T one.
SPEAKER_00I think I had Strawberry Shortcake.
SPEAKER_02You probably did. With the thermos
SPEAKER_00inside?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. Dang, that was 82 to like 84 I might have did that.
SPEAKER_00Those were the good old days.
SPEAKER_02The metal The metal one or the plastic
SPEAKER_00one? The metal one. I had the metal one at first and then I switched to a plastic.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if I had the metal one. That might have been too old for me.
SPEAKER_00Maybe. Oldie but goodie.
SPEAKER_02I had the plastic one with the thermos.
UNKNOWNOkay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think I might.
SPEAKER_00The good old days.
SPEAKER_02Yep, yep. All right, well, you want to get into it?
SPEAKER_00Let's get into it. All
SPEAKER_02right, well, give me your first one. Your first sad moment in movies. that make you say like, oh my gosh. This
SPEAKER_00one is the saddest one on my list, I think. This one is my number one. I
SPEAKER_02wonder if we got the same one.
SPEAKER_00We probably don't.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. You
SPEAKER_00kind of
SPEAKER_02like some of the stuff I like.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I don't think we got the same one.
SPEAKER_02All right, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00But my first one is Seven Pounds with Will Smith.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I didn't watch that.
SPEAKER_00You didn't watch it? Nah. If you don't want to cry, don't watch it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was a sad movie.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I cried. like real tears like I couldn't even see the TV cry.
SPEAKER_02But did somebody die or anything?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Who? What happened?
SPEAKER_00He died.
SPEAKER_02The guy? Will Smith? Is that the one? He killed himself.
SPEAKER_00What?
SPEAKER_02That wasn't the one with the son right?
SPEAKER_00This one was I don't know why he was giving them away but he wanted to give his organs away to seven different people. Oh okay.
SPEAKER_02I didn't even know
SPEAKER_00that. Yeah. So he killed himself and he gave all his organs to seven people.
UNKNOWNDang.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00And one of the people who he gave, I think he gave her his heart. That's the true meaning of I'm going to give you my heart.
SPEAKER_02So he gave it to somebody he knew?
SPEAKER_00No, but he fell in love with the girl. So he was kind of conflicted. Like, should I still do this? But I need to do this to save her. Yes, I cried and cried. And I let my daughter watch it and she cried and cried. Yeah, that's a sad
SPEAKER_02movie. Have you watched it lately?
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think I want to watch it again
SPEAKER_02for real
SPEAKER_00yeah
SPEAKER_02so wait you seen it back then or you seen it
SPEAKER_00I seen it I seen it a couple of times but I don't think I want to watch it again okay because it's it's sad whichever time you watch it all right okay yeah
SPEAKER_02that was a good one seven pounds seven pounds that
SPEAKER_00was if y'all want to cry like snotty nose cry watch seven pounds
SPEAKER_02that was a that was a that was a sad movie I think I didn't watch it probably because it was a sad movie
SPEAKER_00I think you should watch it
SPEAKER_02nah I'm So
SPEAKER_00you want me to try your tang, but you won't watch this movie? Alright.
SPEAKER_02I'll bring the tang.
SPEAKER_00I'll try the tang if you watch this movie. Alright. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Do I have to watch the whole movie?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You got to get the whole effect.
SPEAKER_02Where's the cliff notes? Remember that? I had to find the cliff notes.
SPEAKER_00Oh God, you a cheat. Or you got to just go to the Wikipedia. No,
SPEAKER_02go to the highlights on YouTube or
SPEAKER_00something. Don't do me like that.
SPEAKER_02Alright, well, since you talk about Will Smith... This scene, 2007, a movie called I Am Legend. Will Smith was like by himself, him and a dog.
SPEAKER_00And he had to kill the dog? Is that the scene you're talking about?
SPEAKER_02The dog died on his own. The dog got bit by one of those things.
SPEAKER_00Remember he broke the dog neck?
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00Is that the scene you're talking about?
SPEAKER_02That's the scene. Yep.
SPEAKER_00I love that movie. You
SPEAKER_02can't tell me that wasn't a sad scene.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it was. I love that movie to say that he was basically in there all by himself. That was a
SPEAKER_02good movie. That was a good movie.
SPEAKER_00It's kind of like Castaway.
SPEAKER_02Yeah,
SPEAKER_00exactly. And I love Castaway. You know
SPEAKER_02what? I like this one better. Castaway was real good. A lot of people paid attention to it, but maybe it was the action on this one.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I like both.
SPEAKER_02Yep, so that was the scene. Oh,
SPEAKER_00that was a sad scene. I
SPEAKER_02Am Legend.
SPEAKER_00He had to love that little dog.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he had a dog, and I think that dog grew up with him, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because he gave the dog to his daughter at the beginning yeah but remember his daughter and his wife died in a plane in the crash the helicopter crash
SPEAKER_02yeah so um he had to kill the dog because the dog got bit
SPEAKER_00and he cried like he cried like a baby
SPEAKER_02yep so that's my that's my first
SPEAKER_00one okay that's a good one i like that since we was talking about that's my movie yeah
SPEAKER_02will smith
SPEAKER_00okay my next one is gonna be a time to kill i Okay. I think I've seen it once. Really? That's a good movie. Yeah, I think I've seen it once. The scene I like is when he shot the two guys that raped his daughter. He got one of the guards, too. So he went to the hospital to say sorry to the guard. Oh,
SPEAKER_02okay.
SPEAKER_00So that was kind of a touching scene. And when the guard got on stand and was saying, you know, I'll do the same thing. I would have did the same thing. Yeah. Oh,
SPEAKER_02that's a good one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00A Time to Kill. A Time to Kill. Okay. Matthew McConaughey and Samuel L. Jackson.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Well, I got one. It's a tough one.
UNKNOWNUm...
SPEAKER_02It's a black movie, you know. I like black movies or hood movies. This movie is from, when is this movie? This movie is from 1984. A movie called Sugar Hill.
SPEAKER_00I've watched
SPEAKER_02it. Now, this was Wesley Snipes.
SPEAKER_00Alan Payne, I think, right? Was Alan Payne in that one?
SPEAKER_02Uh-uh. Nope, that was Blue Hill Road.
SPEAKER_00Okay, Blue Hill Avenue. Blue Hill Avenue, yeah.
SPEAKER_02This one was with, what's the guy? Nice like this, I wish.
SPEAKER_00Was he the brother?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he was the brother.
SPEAKER_00I don't know his name, but I know who you're talking
SPEAKER_02about. Carmelo. They called Western Snipes Mello. But their father was a junkie. And there was a scene where the brother came to give the father bad drugs to kill himself. And he killed himself by shooting a dope. He had to overdose right in front of him. And it was bad. It was... If you could see it. It was real bad. It
SPEAKER_00was... That's the guy from... Is that the guy from Prince? Is that the father from Prince? That's the
SPEAKER_02father from Prince. Clayton...
SPEAKER_00Purple Rain.
SPEAKER_02Clarence Williams III. And it was a real drawn-out scene. where he overdosed right there.
SPEAKER_00Have you watched this lately? Or you just remember this from back in the day?
SPEAKER_02No, I remember this.
SPEAKER_00Really? Oh,
SPEAKER_02man, he falls off the chair and everything. Like, does that... I can't really.
SPEAKER_00Wasn't his brother jealous of his girlfriend?
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Don't cry now. Oh, baby. Uh-uh. No?
SPEAKER_02I was trying to...
SPEAKER_01I'm
SPEAKER_02sorry. I was trying to get to the point where... he falls off the chair and does the... once the drugs really hit him. I'm sorry, baby. The music was sad. Everything was sad about this scene.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was a tough one. Did you ever see this?
SPEAKER_00I've seen it before.
SPEAKER_02Look at that.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember that scene, though.
SPEAKER_02What this scene is like.
SPEAKER_00I watched that a long time ago.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the brother brought the father the drugs.
SPEAKER_00He always plays somebody bad. Don't cry now.
SPEAKER_02Look at that. He like falls off the chair and... He's a
SPEAKER_00good actor. Oh, yeah, he did that scene.
SPEAKER_02He killed that scene. Like, if you wasn't sad before, you was definitely sad after this scene. That was it from Sugar Hill. Romello's Pops. Okay. That's what, you know, it was from a hip-hop line when he said his veins popped like Romello's fathers and
SPEAKER_00whatever. You know my memory is bad.
SPEAKER_02I'll have
SPEAKER_00to find
SPEAKER_02it out. But 1994, Sugar Hill. Okay. I don't know what
SPEAKER_00you're talking about. that? My next one, I'm going to go with A Boy in the Striped Pajamas. What's that? It's a Holocaust movie. I didn't see that. You ain't never seen that? You should watch that too. Have you seen that recent? Probably a couple of years ago. For
SPEAKER_02real? Yeah. I don't like those Holocaust movies.
SPEAKER_00So, it's about a little boy. His father is in the German military. I can't think of his He's like a Nazi. Not
SPEAKER_02the KGB.
SPEAKER_00He's a Nazi soldier. So they moved next to the concentration camp. So the little boy and a little boy from the concentration camp become friends, but they only talk between the fence. Okay. So one day the little boy from the concentration camp, he wanted to find his father, but I think they had took his father to kill him. So the other boy came across the fence to help him find his father.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_00So he put on the uniform that the concentration camp people wear, and they get mixed up into the little room, the gas chamber. Yeah. And they kill both of the little boys.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_00So then his father, who is the officer, he come looking for his son and find his son dead. So it was real sad. Yeah. The little boys didn't really know what was going on.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So that's crazy. Yeah. So you pick like sad movies. Yeah. I pick like action movies. The action movie and it just happened to have a sad scene in it. You pick a straight sad movie.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02All right.
SPEAKER_00Well. Yeah. Boy in the Striped Pajamas. That's a good. That's the
SPEAKER_02name of it?
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02Okay. All right. Mine is from 1991. You
SPEAKER_00just have to put the. This is
SPEAKER_02a classic movie. I know you've seen it. Keisha. From the CMB Brothers.
SPEAKER_00Rock-a-bye, baby.
SPEAKER_02Yes. When Keisha got killed on New Jack City at the wedding, she came out
SPEAKER_00there with the Uzi. And she went back in her little scarf.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. The real lady name is Vanessa Williams, known as Keisha.
SPEAKER_00She played that part.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she killed that part. Give it one more time.
SPEAKER_00Rock-a-bye, baby.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah, when she died on New Jack City, that was a sad movie. Oh, you was crying? No, I wasn't crying. I didn't cry on any of these. I don't think I ever cried from a movie.
SPEAKER_00Never?
SPEAKER_02Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_00I think you lied.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I did.
SPEAKER_00What movie?
SPEAKER_02ATL.
SPEAKER_00Why would you cry on ATL?
SPEAKER_02Because it was like the... Was it the Brothers? I think it was the... The uncle? Yeah, it was the uncle and the brothers.
SPEAKER_00I had
SPEAKER_02just lost my uncle at the time.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. Okay, so you cried for a different reason.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was it.
SPEAKER_00I had an experience like that. I lost my boyfriend before and I went and saw, what's the movie with Queen Latifah?
SPEAKER_02Set It Off?
SPEAKER_00No. It was her with three, it was Queen Latifah. What's Swiss Pete's wife's name?
SPEAKER_02Alicia
SPEAKER_00Keys. Alicia Keys. I can't think of that movie. The Secret Life of Bees. Is that what it is?
SPEAKER_02I guess so. I didn't
SPEAKER_00see that one. Never saw that? Mm-mm. And I went to the movie theater and saw it. Oh, okay. And I guess I was thinking about, because their sister died in the movie, and I guess I was thinking about my boyfriend. I was in there boo-hooing, crying. Yeah, so I can understand that. It wasn't a sad movie, but. Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Yeah, so that was it. Keisha, New Jack City, 1991. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Rock-a-bye, baby.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02What else you got? I know you got, I know you got a Don't try to change your list up now.
SPEAKER_00I'm not changing out my list. All right,
SPEAKER_02go
SPEAKER_00ahead. You're going to get what I got on this list. All right. My next one is not a movie, but it's a TV show. The Walking Dead. You ever watch The Walking Dead?
SPEAKER_02I did, but I didn't watch the whole thing. I did see the last scene, though.
SPEAKER_00You should watch the whole thing.
SPEAKER_02With that guy.
SPEAKER_00The saddest scene on there is when Glenn died.
SPEAKER_02With the bat, right? With the bat. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I was so done with The Walking Dead that night. That Sunday night that I watched that, I was crying like I knew Glenn.
SPEAKER_02Everybody was.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I didn't like that.
SPEAKER_02Everybody
SPEAKER_00went crazy.
SPEAKER_02They went crazy when that happened. I
SPEAKER_00feel like I'm getting emotional now. I don't like that
SPEAKER_02scene. What's his name, Glenn?
SPEAKER_00Glenn.
SPEAKER_02From Walking Dead.
SPEAKER_00All right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Let's see what I got.
SPEAKER_00I'm about to cry now, y'all.
SPEAKER_02No, don't do it. Don't do it.
SPEAKER_00Don't do it. All right. What you got? Um,
SPEAKER_022008. I don't know if this was a musical
SPEAKER_00or not. I don't know why you put that year on there. Like, I'm going to automatically know what you're talking
SPEAKER_02about. Nah, because, you know, sometimes they make remakes or sometimes they never heard a movie. Oh, girl. So I just put the year so people can remember. Well, Chess Records, the home of Muddy Waters, the home of Lil' Walter, the home of, what's that, Ella?
SPEAKER_00What is this, Kelly? Cadillac Records?
SPEAKER_02Cadillac Records.
SPEAKER_00And I watched it, but not enough to, like, tell you what happened.
SPEAKER_02The last scene on the movie was Leonard Chess, the head guy, the head white guy. Mm-hmm. He was leaving. They was getting ready to close the Chess Records. He was leaving, and before he got around the corner, he had a heart attack while he was driving away.
SPEAKER_00Aw.
SPEAKER_02It was sad.
SPEAKER_00I'm going to have to watch that again. What? What? Because I seen a clip of, what is it? The Howlin' Wolf something?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And you were singing to the little woman? Yeah. That makes me want to watch it again. So wait, you haven't seen
SPEAKER_02that
SPEAKER_00movie? I've seen it, but I can't remember. Oh,
SPEAKER_02that's a good movie. A lot of people don't like it because they don't like Beyonce's part. But
SPEAKER_00I like her. They just don't like Beyonce. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They don't like her singing, I think.
SPEAKER_00Was she good in it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I like it. I
SPEAKER_00can't remember. I might watch it. What
SPEAKER_02was that? She played... Etta James.
SPEAKER_00Etta James. Yeah, Etta James.
SPEAKER_02I'd rather
SPEAKER_00go blind.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that scene right there was sad. I wouldn't. I'd rather see him with the girl. I ain't going blind. That was like they set that whole scene up.
SPEAKER_00Because was she dealing with the head white guy?
SPEAKER_02She loved the head white guy. They never really did anything.
SPEAKER_00I thought they was together. No?
SPEAKER_02He saved her for a lot of things. I'm
SPEAKER_00not going to tell you the whole thing. Yeah, don't tell me because I'm going to watch it. Cadillac Records.
SPEAKER_02She ended up getting on drugs, and he was trying to help her out, and he made it so she wouldn't lose her house and stuff like that.
UNKNOWNOkay.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, you got to watch it. But they liked each other, I think.
SPEAKER_00But they probably couldn't deal with each other because of the times back then. Oh, he was married? Yeah, he was
SPEAKER_02married.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay. But
SPEAKER_02watch it. Okay, I'm going to watch it. It's real good. It's real good. Okay. 2008, Cadillac Records, the scene where... Leonard Chess died, had a heart attack,
SPEAKER_00pulling away from me. All the names and everything. Somebody come prepare. I'm trying to be
SPEAKER_02prepared
SPEAKER_00like you. Be prepared.

SPEAKER_00The Lovely Bones. You got to watch it. The
SPEAKER_02Lovely Bones. It sounds like a ladies movie.
SPEAKER_00It's not. It's got some killing in it. A little girl dying in it. Okay. So, okay. Tell me about it. So, a serial killer moves next door to a family. And he watches and watches the little girl. And eventually, he kidnaps the girl. Oh, wow. And he builds like a little underground box. bunker and that's where he take her to kill her.
SPEAKER_02Oh, for real?
SPEAKER_00So it's good.
SPEAKER_02Text it to me.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Because I'm not going to remember. That sounds like something good.
SPEAKER_00It's good. They live right next door to each other so the father think he did it and her little sister or her older sister think he did it too. It's pretty good. I might
SPEAKER_02have seen that.
SPEAKER_00With Mark Wahlberg?
SPEAKER_02Oh, if Mark Wahlberg is in it, I've definitely seen it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because I watch all his movies. Send it to me anyway. Text it to me.

SPEAKER_00that's what you get when you get all the rings, the power.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he had that power.
UNKNOWNOkay.
SPEAKER_02He snapped his fingers, and there was a scene, I think, they started showing, like, Spider-Man. I think, I kind of think... Iron Man, Tony Stark was holding Spider-Man. And then he just started, you know that. You
SPEAKER_00make me want to watch it just because of this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.

SPEAKER_00I think it's Turner
SPEAKER_02Yeah
SPEAKER_00Yeah he had to be a bad character in there He was a terrible character I ain't saying he deserved what he got but He was the You got those learn how to talk to people.
SPEAKER_02He was the Nate. I'm in the buying Nate of the movie.
SPEAKER_00He was worse than Nate though. Yeah, I don't. I'll never watch that movie again because I didn't like all my emotions going
SPEAKER_02like that. Yeah, that was a sad movie, really. But you know what about that movie? It was too over the top. Like, the dramatic scenes was, like, too dramatic. It was like, come on, Tyler Perry, chill
SPEAKER_00out. You know how Tyler Perry
SPEAKER_02do. Yeah, he's, come on, man.
SPEAKER_00I'm mad at Tyler Perry, too.
SPEAKER_02I did watch it, though. I did watch it. All right, let me get on the minds. Is this my last? That's my last
SPEAKER_00one. It probably is. Yeah,
SPEAKER_02that's my last one. Well, I'm going to end it off with a bang. 1995. I've seen this in the movie theater. And it probably was the saddest scene of the whole movie. No, no, no, no, no. There was another sad scene, but dead presidents.
SPEAKER_00I should have known.
SPEAKER_02When Skip overdosed, when the cops came to get him.
SPEAKER_00Skip was Chris Tucker.
SPEAKER_02Chris Tucker was Skip, and it was a scene where he was sitting in a chair, needle in his arm, and the cops busted
SPEAKER_00in the
SPEAKER_02door.
SPEAKER_00I can see it in my
SPEAKER_02head. Yeah, and it was playing like Al Green or something at the time. It was a real dramatic scene. but it fit the movie. It made the movie that much better.
SPEAKER_00And you know what? Music. The music they play in movies, it makes such a big difference. It does. It really does.
SPEAKER_02Especially, you know, 90s. Just like we talked about Purple Rain.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I think if that music wasn't in that movie, the movie wouldn't have been as good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I don't think they do that anymore because you don't hear nothing about big soundtracks or anything. I
SPEAKER_00don't think they do it like they used to.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So when Skip died.
SPEAKER_00That was a good one. You make me want to watch Dead Presidents.
SPEAKER_02You got a list of stuff to watch. I guess I got
SPEAKER_00a list of stuff to watch too. How Cuddy rolled up on him.
SPEAKER_02Oh that was good. Is that baby girl back
SPEAKER_00there? Sucking on that lollipop.
SPEAKER_02Yeah she's spoiled. Somebody got to
SPEAKER_00spoil her. It's a little something for her. Like, oh, Cuddy, this is... Make me want to watch it. I might watch it tonight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, when Cuddy caught him in the hallway, that was it, though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Anthony.
SPEAKER_00Anthony.
SPEAKER_02Anthony. Anthony. Yep, yep. So that was my top sad moments of movies. I have a couple, yeah. Oh, okay. Shoot them. John Q. Okay, another movie I never watched the whole thing. I'm telling you, your list is like...
SPEAKER_00What is wrong with you? I don't know, maybe
SPEAKER_02I was reaching for sad
SPEAKER_00moments. I'm not supposed to bury my son. My son is supposed to bury me.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, that
SPEAKER_00was a scene? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was a good one.
SPEAKER_00That's a good movie.
SPEAKER_02That movie was... I kind of think that movie was like, I guess a blockbuster at the time. I think it was. Everybody was talking about that movie.
SPEAKER_00That was a sad movie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that one and between that and what's that one with Will Smith and the son?
SPEAKER_00The Pursuit of Happiness.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, those are kind of like the same kind of feel movies, right?
SPEAKER_00I guess so because it's dealing with kids. Yeah, because the scene with Will Smith and his son in the bathroom, he's holding the bathroom door closed. That's a sad scene. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm over here. I'm watching something on TV behind you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he's supposed to be on a show. He's doing a podcast here.
SPEAKER_02I'm sorry, but have you seen what I saw? What are we doing?
SPEAKER_00I can't turn around.
SPEAKER_02No, you should have, but never mind. Okay. We're
SPEAKER_00going to have to rewind it so I can see what he was looking at. Okay. What else you got? All right. and I got 12 years a slave. I don't know if I saw that. You never watched that?
SPEAKER_02That's with the black guy, right? Yeah. What's his name?
SPEAKER_00Don't ask me his name. He got like a funny name.
SPEAKER_02The guy that got in trouble.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't think he got in trouble.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's the black guy. They dropped him from Marvel and they picked him back up.
SPEAKER_00No, that's not him.
SPEAKER_02Jonathan Majors. That's not
SPEAKER_00Jonathan Majors?
SPEAKER_02It ain't him. Oh, no,
SPEAKER_00you know what? This one got like an African-like name.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's, oh, man.
SPEAKER_00Don't ask me to say his name.
SPEAKER_02Well, what part you didn't like? The
SPEAKER_00part that made me sad was... when the girl in there, the girl that he liked, the main character liked another slave on the plantation. And she was going to another plantation to wash. It was something with soap. And the... Slave Master.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00He was liking her, but he didn't want her to, I guess he didn't want her to wash because he didn't want nobody else to be with her. Oh, for real? So he got mad at her for going to the next plantation to wash, and that kind of made me mad. Dang. So you should watch it.
SPEAKER_02The last slave movie I watched was pretty good, and that was that Will Smith movie.
SPEAKER_00And I never watched that.
SPEAKER_02That was good. He should have won an award for it. That's how good it was.
SPEAKER_00It was on, it's only on Apple though, right?
SPEAKER_02no I'm gonna have to hook you up with the app they got certain apps where you can find certain things
SPEAKER_00you keep saying this you keep saying it I ain't got hooked up yet I got you I got you cause I wanna watch it but I can't find where to watch it at
SPEAKER_02I got you yeah
SPEAKER_00so
SPEAKER_02that's a good one
SPEAKER_00and I got one last one and I'm gonna end it what you got The Passions of the Christ oh yeah
SPEAKER_02another movie I haven't seen
SPEAKER_00Don't watch that movie. Now, I was like really choked up on that. Mel Gibson made that movie? Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I remember that slack he was getting for it.
SPEAKER_00That was a hard watch. Yeah? Yeah. It will make you cry.
SPEAKER_02Do you think they should have had a black character play it?
SPEAKER_00No.
UNKNOWNOkay.
SPEAKER_00I don't think so.
SPEAKER_02So you think Jesus was white?
SPEAKER_00I don't know what color Jesus was. I wasn't back then with Jesus. But what is he portrayed as? Everybody portray him as a white Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You see, Florida Evanston wanted to be the black Jesus. You
SPEAKER_02know, I wonder sometimes of people that think there's a black Jesus. Like when they, you know, say they pray, I hope I get this money. I hope I get this.
SPEAKER_00Just a black Jesus. I wonder I wonder if
SPEAKER_02the vision of the black Jesus is in their head.
SPEAKER_00No, it's the vision that everybody sees. It's
SPEAKER_02the white one.
SPEAKER_00It's the white Jesus. It doesn't matter what color Jesus is. Just pray to
SPEAKER_02Jesus. That's crazy. All right. Well, what are we going to get
SPEAKER_00into? We got our flashback movies? Is that what we're doing? I do have a flashback, and I just watched it before I came up here.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you were doing homework.
SPEAKER_00I wasn't doing homework. It just was on, and I just had to watch it. had to watch it anytime this movie is on I got a couple of movies that No matter when they come on, I'm going to watch it.
SPEAKER_02No, no,
SPEAKER_00no, no. And I can watch it 50 times. But if I catch it on TV, I'm going to watch it.
SPEAKER_02No, no,
SPEAKER_00no, no. One of them is Gladiator. The first Gladiator. I'm going to always watch that.
SPEAKER_02Russell Crowe?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Yeah. Another one is the Django. Okay. I'm going to always.
SPEAKER_02Yes. To put the D in the Django.
SPEAKER_00The Django. I'm going to always watch that. Django was good. I watched it 50 times.
SPEAKER_02Django was good.
SPEAKER_00And another one is. Casino
SPEAKER_02The name of this movie that I'm going to say is two actors, but this movie is different. 1983, a movie called Bad Boys came out.
SPEAKER_00You better stop. Because you know what? I started to put that on my list of sad movies because I watched this when I was young watching this movie. Ain't no way. With Sean Penn and the little Puerto Rican guy. Yes, that's a good movie.
SPEAKER_02Yep, so that's my movie to go back. Sean Penn, there's a lot of actors in there. I do not know the Spanish guy's name.
SPEAKER_00I don't know him either.
SPEAKER_02I'm looking directly at the name. And I still can't say it. But if you've seen Paid in Full, he was Lulu.
SPEAKER_00He was Lulu?
SPEAKER_02He was Lulu. And if you've seen La Bamba, he was the bad brother. So this movie's about Sean Penn. They tried to rob somebody and accidentally hit...
SPEAKER_00Did they kill his mother?
SPEAKER_02No, they killed his brother. They killed the Puerto Rican guy's younger brother. So Sean Penn went to the juvie, juvie hall. Well, the Puerto Rican guy comes back. He rapes
SPEAKER_00Sean Penn's girlfriend. Sean Penn's
SPEAKER_02girlfriend. And he gets locked up.
SPEAKER_00He did it just so that he could get locked up with him.
SPEAKER_02Yep, so he ended up getting locked up with him. And the whole movie, like they had bad guys.
SPEAKER_00I'm about to turn my mic off because I can't believe he got this movie.
SPEAKER_02Of course, man. The movie is Bad Boy, 1983. One of the guards, Jim Moody, is the father of... From The Last Dragon. Leroy Green's father, he's in this also. There's a lot of people in this movie.
SPEAKER_00Y'all watch that. That's a good movie.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it's called Bad Boys.
SPEAKER_00That's the original Bad Boys.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Martin Lawrence. It's not a remake.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's not a remake.
SPEAKER_02It's a totally different movie.
SPEAKER_00I'm surprised they used that name. Yeah, me too. Did they know about this movie?
SPEAKER_02When I first heard it, I'm like, bad boys. I remember watching that when I was young. Because, you know, I watched every... When I was younger, I used to have to go to a grandparent's house to watch movies and Sunday dinner and stuff like that. They was movie buffs.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02They was the first people I seen with the two cassettes. And they was... Copying their own movies And they had a whole library So I see movies like this
SPEAKER_00That's where you get your Love for collecting
SPEAKER_02stuff from Probably My parents always watched movies Like Eating dinner We didn't eat dinner at the
SPEAKER_00Table They watched it on the couch In the
SPEAKER_02living room
SPEAKER_00Okay Ain't nothing wrong with that That's a good movie though I was gonna put it on my list Because I thought The part when He raped his girlfriend That was so sad Yeah it was Yeah
SPEAKER_02You know what was even sadder Sean Penn breaks out of jail And he goes to the girl's house, and the first time he sees her, she's all beat up and mangled. She's happy to see him, but he just sits there and cries.
SPEAKER_00Because he's so hurt.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00There was a lot of emotion going on in that movie. Everybody was just mad at each other.
SPEAKER_02Yep, young kid
SPEAKER_00getting raped. But they never even talked it out. Yep,
SPEAKER_02so that was it. He
SPEAKER_00blew my mind
SPEAKER_02with that one. Yeah, I had to because you dropped three of them right there. I knew I had a winner. Especially the fact that you've seen the movie before it made it even better. Alright, I got one more thing and then we gonna get out of here. What you got? We got music flashbacks. Uh... What you got? I'll let you get to us first.
SPEAKER_00I got a music flashback.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what you got?
SPEAKER_00I happened to hear a song that I used to love back in the day. Okay. And it was Positive K. Okay. Featuring my favorite female MC, MC Light.
SPEAKER_02What's that? I got a man?
SPEAKER_00I'm not having it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. This was a good one. I liked Positive K back
SPEAKER_01then.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I like this. Positive K was good back there.
SPEAKER_00He was. He was different.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was a classic.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I used to sing all the girl parts.
SPEAKER_02Who was the girl, though?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, in the video, they didn't have anybody. They didn't have nobody particular. All
SPEAKER_00right. Yeah, so that was my flashback.
SPEAKER_02That was a good one. That was a good one. And thanks. I think, all right, my flashback is, I think it's 1996. Well, I'm going to tell you a story.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02I came down south to Atlanta for Freak Meek. Was it freak? Yeah, it had to be freak. It was freak me. It was freak me. And. This song was so big at the time. I had to go home and find out who
SPEAKER_00made it. I can't wait to see what it is.
SPEAKER_02This girl had a blue Thunderbird with a system. And she played this. This is Master P. Ghetto D. And this is on the album Ghetto D. Master P.
SPEAKER_00It's just this beat. This beat is classic. Oh,
SPEAKER_02it is, man. As soon as I heard this, I was like, what? I was like, I got to find that. It also has songs like, you know, Let Me At Him. You know, if you was a Master P fan, then there's a lot of songs on this. This album, I think, was a double CD. That was on there too. That definitely
SPEAKER_00was on
SPEAKER_02there.
SPEAKER_00No limit soldier. I thought I told you.
SPEAKER_02My flashback was Ghetto D from Master P. Get a chance. Go back and listen to the album. The album was pretty good. Was the
SPEAKER_00Ice Cream Man on that one?
SPEAKER_02Nah, that
SPEAKER_00was
SPEAKER_02the first, first song I heard from Master P. It's
SPEAKER_00the Ice Cream Man. On
SPEAKER_02Video Music Box, no. It wasn't Video Music Box. It was, had to be Yo! MTV Raps or something
SPEAKER_00like that. It probably was Yo! MTV.
SPEAKER_02They used to play that. I was like, what is this country stuff? But he had the Land Rover in it. And that was caught your attention? That was new. Like, oh, he got, I think he had two of them. The Land Rovers at that time was big. I was like, oh.
SPEAKER_00I like Master P. I give Master P props. I think I'm done. I think I'm done, too.
