What's up everybody? Good morning. Welcome back to another episode of the Plus Money Sports Betting Podcast. My name is Q. You can follow me on all socials at BetzByQ. It's not a matchup that I normally watch, UNBC versus Howard. Um not because I don't love college basketball, but you know, nobody's really lining up out the door to see, you know, Howard basketball. Alright? Don't get me wrong. I love Howard. I love the HBC's youth. I went to school in the DMV. But nobody's really breaking their pockets to go catch that game. I doubt many of you even watched it. Probably the only people that watched it were people who were really invested in their bracket or people who, well, were invested in the game for gambling purposes. However, start the game, pretty smooth. Howard gets off to a hot start. Everything is kind of smooth sailing. I think we get up to like a 13-14 point lead. But wouldn't you know this one came down to free throws, and Howard almost blew it because we know that Howard can't shoot free throws. But in order to ice the game, they needed to knock them down. They didn't make them. They didn't. But UNBC couldn't knock down a shot at the end. We escape 83 to 80 Howard cashes on the moneyline plus 115. Okay, day one of the tournament is over. The first four, it's done. I talked about a futures yesterday. And I'm just gonna plug it one more time. Iowa State. They are now 18 to 1. We got them at plus 2,000 yesterday. Alright? We've gotta get that in. We've got it locked in for a half unit. Alright? I think that it's the play that's going to allow us to make a lot of money in this tournament as we find ways to hedge as the rounds go on. Okay. Other than that, that's the recap from yesterday. I'm not a big parlay guy, but I will tell you this week, I've hit two parlays that have given out both plus a thousand, both were three legs. Okay, so nothing crazy. And I'm not saying hey, we're gonna retire in a day or in a week. Um, but value is my middle name. All right, I don't care about having a bunch of legs and and playing it safe. It's gambling. We don't play it safe, okay? Um, all right, let's talk hockey tonight, stars versus the Avalanche, because I'm actually seeing a really solid bounce back spot here for the Dallas Stars. So I'm gonna back them on the moneyline plus 130. Last time that these two teams met, it went to the shootout. Colorado ended up getting the win. But that's important context, okay? Because the game was basically a coin flip. These teams are a lot closer than the public perception suggests. Now, fast forward to this spot, the Avalanche, they come in having dropped too straight, while they've got that high-end firepower in McKinnon and McCarr, they can be a little volatile when things aren't clicking offensively, and things have not been clicking offensively. They are a team that relies heavily on their top-end guys, and if you can slow them down, even a little bit, the offense is gonna stall out. Okay. On the other side, Dallas coming off a loss, but let's not overreact because this is a team that just won 14 of the last 16 games. It's not a fluke, it's one of the most complete teams in hockey. I think that there's a good chance that this is the team that gets represented in the uh for the West for the Stanley Cup Finals. This is probably a preview of the Western Conference Finals, but here's the key this Dallas team has not lost back-to-back games since mid-January, okay? That tells you everything about their consistency and their ability to respond. Um, from a matchup standpoint, I think, and this is where it really leans Dallas for me. The stars have depth. They roll multiple lines. That fourth line is booming. They play a structured game that can neutralize Colorado speed. Um, they don't get pulled into that run and gun style that Colorado likes to play. Not unless they really want to. I think it's going to be a very physical game. Um, you factor into goaltending. Obviously, I think you know, Dallas typically has the more stable situation there where Ottinger just adds another layer to the edge. So when you put it all together, you've got the more consistent team, the deeper team, the team that historically responds after losses going up an Avalanche squad that's dropped two in a row and can be a bit top heavy. Give me the Dallas Stars on the Money Line plus 130. Lock it in. I will see you at the counter. Okay, one play on the board, one unit in play. I'm on the stars on the moneyline plus 130.
