Father's Refuge
Father's Refuge is a safe place for fathers of children experiencing childhood cancer or terminal illnesses. This is a place for fathers who are walking through the treatment process with their families or are experiencing grief from the loss of a child. My wife and I lost our Jessica Ann on August 5th 2001 to childhood cancer. Jessica had two types of cancer in a brain tumor. The doctors said if she lasted 12 months we would be lucky. Jessica lasted 14 months. I will be telling our story through this podcast. I want to encourage other fathers to share their stories.

A Reflection in Time
A Reflection in Time written by James Moffitt in May/June of 2000. This article captures my thoughts as a father as I walk through the 14 months of treatment Jessica received at MUSC Children's hospital in Charleston SC.
Losing a child to cancer is a grief no parent should walk through alone. The Father's Refuge Podcast is a safe place for fathers and parents to share, heal, and find hope in the midst of heartbreak. If you are a father and you would like to share your grief journey with others reach out to me at FathersRefuge@proton.me
