Bird of the Day
Welcome to Bird of the Day! My name is Sam Rodgers, and I’m a 13-year-old birder from Eugene, Oregon. This is an informative, entertaining podcast about anything and everything birds. Episodes are released once every few weeks and will be based on a specific bird species. Listeners can also submit their bird questions to my trusty carrier pigeon, Earl, and I will answer them in episodes. Thanks for listening!

Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
One of the rarest birds in North America, the Kirtland's Warbler lives only in the young Jack Pine forests in central Michigan, and it can only survive due to extensive conservation efforts. Sadly, it has been on the endangered species list for a long time, and is still considered threatened. But apart from that, it is a pretty bird, with the male being colored in shades of gray, black, and yellow. This bird is also very interesting, with many unique behaviors and facts. Listen to dive into the world of the Kirtland’s Warbler!
